Vine Wine Shop and Lounge

I have wanted to try this place for years, and I am so happy to have finally done it! The atmosphere is very cozy (best for small groups). We ordered the truffle fries and barrel tots, both of which were extremely tasty. They offer a nice variety of wines at multiple price-points. I do have to say that there were no signs giving you a clue about how the place operates (you have to go up to the bar to get your wine and order food, no table service) and that was confusing.

Great place to relax with a glass of wine from an ever changing menu that always offers something interesting and unique. Food is great too! Cool, cultured spot in an otherwise strip mall landscape.

Lovely selection of wines and affordable bites! Nice ambiance and a patio area I'd love to check out as it gets warmer.

I had a truly unpleasant experience at Vine Wine Shop and Lounge. The bartender was extremely cold and unwelcoming from the moment we arrived. When I asked a simple question about one of the wines — specifically what a Sangiovese is like — his response was, “It’s like a Sangiovese,” which came across as unnecessarily condescending. The lounge was completely empty, yet we were told we couldn’t move a single chair to make ourselves more comfortable. Overall, the atmosphere was uninviting, and the staff’s attitude completely ruined what was supposed to be a relaxing evening. I would absolutely never come back.

I absolutely love this lounge. It is so warm and inviting with great wine and menu selection. We were welcomed by James, Amy, and Anna. A perfect place for a date or girls outing.

This place is so cozy & has a great selection of wines from all over the world. We loved meeting the owner and all the staff were so friendly. Definitely want to come back often!

A small wine bar and store off of maple grove. They have a small tapas menu, wines by the glass, a nice patio and a fireplace for the winter.

Vine Shop & Lounge is such a hidden gem! The space is super cute with a classy, elevated ambiance that still feels warm and welcoming. It's the kind of place you can dress up a little for but still feel completely comfortable. They have a great selection of wine, something for everyone whether you're into bold reds, crisp whites, or just want to try something new. The food was just as impressive! Everything we ordered was fresh, flavorful, and paired perfectly with the wine. It's also a fantastic spot for bigger groups. There's plenty of space to gather, celebrate, or just catch up with friends without feeling cramped. Even with us being a larger group the service was so attentive! Definitely one of those places you'll want to come back to again and again. Highly recommend!

We came here last night for Vday and absolutely loved this place. This was our 1st time and will for sure be back! My wife made a reservation for their Vday pre-fixed menu which consisted of your choice beet salad or shrimp bisque. Surf and turf for the main course and your choice of desert which was lemon and raspberry crème brûlée or chocolate cake with raspberry mouse. Each course was paired with a wine and they didn't skimp on the pours. The food was outstanding and while I thought the filet could've used a sauce or a little more seasoning it was delicious and cooked at a medium rare. The lobster tail was so good! I could've eaten a plate of just those. Served with a mash potato and carrots. While I loved the everything the lemon blueberry crème brûlée was outstanding! I am not a big chocolate guy but I did sneak a bite with the raspberry mouse and wow so good! The service was a 5 out of 5 as well. The staff here was awesome, super friendly and knowledgeable about the wines. Inside this place gives off an upscale wine bar vibe with great decor while feeling casual as well. This was a perfect evening and we will for sure be back to give it another try. I would highly suggest anyone local or visiting to give this place a try!

It is quiet which is hard to find in a restaurant these days. They have a friendly helpful staff and great selection of wines. Menu is limited but good variety and well prepared.

This is a hidden gem in SW Boise. Fabulous wine selection, great food, relaxing ambiance, and amazing staff and owners. The variety of wine through their wine club is top notch. Evenings they offer wine tastings are fun, we learn a lot about grape varietals and the regions they grow within.

We came during their dinner on Saturday. They served Osso Bucco. The meat was the most tender, fall apart pork I have ever seen. However, there was no seasoning, so it was very bland. Mixed with the risotto, it helped, but there needed to be more flavor. I ate what I could but got full, so I took the rest home. My husband agreed that there was no flavor, but he ate all of his. I think they had a rub on the meat when they first put it in to cook, but it seemed like it might have all melted off. The salad and minestrone soup were very tasty, and the dessert was good but very dense. We made the right choice to share the dessert. The place is very relaxing and beautiful and the staff are awesome. Have a very good wine selection. We will be back.

What a magical little spot! Be prepared for your heart to skip a few beats upon your entry. Wall-to-wall-to-wall wine with the sweetest little atmosphere. A cozy fire place with seating, intimate, majestic, and worth a visit asap. Check their website for the rotating menu and expect some amazing appetizers or desserts to get your belly full. Every appetizer you order will be dang good. Our favorite, the blue cheese dip, it is highly likely, even if you don't like blue cheese, you will still enjoy this. So many flavors, sweet, salty, creamy, amazing. The weightstaff and owner are wonderful! Attentive, passionate about wine, and really able level up your evening expectations. Not sure what wine to get, make sure to ask questions and taste before you fill up that wine glass. There are so many options, you will find one that sweeps you off your feet.

My husband and I went here last night for the first time. We had a few appetizers and shared a bottle of good wine. We enjoyed the atmosphere, customer service, and the food. We will definitely come back in the future.

Lovely little wine shop with excellent service. I met a couple friends for a glass of vino and to catch up after work. Melissa, our sommelier, was friendly and knowledgeable about the establishment's wine. We shared a bottle of Pasqua Romero and Juliet Passimento Rosso and the cheese board full of delicious tidbits. Intimate and low-key.

Darling wine shop with a lovely dog-friendly patio. Food was delicious! I had tempura chicken and the garden salad, there is a prefixe dinner on saturdays which looked divine, I just didn't have the appetite for a full meal. Great selection of local, west coast, and international wines, I can't wait to come back! Perfect for solo diners or larger parties, the pricing is MORE than reasonable. I think I found my new fave wine bar??

Dear Vine Wine- Thanks for making the world a better place & sweetening my life right up here in Boise. Everyone who walks into this place will fall in love with the owners, feel the good vibes, & become addicted to the fantastic wines I'm a part of their wine club & love it- currently full btw, sorry folks! This is our place to relax, our place to celebrate, & our place to connect.... you simply cannot go wrong coming in here for a glass of wine to "un-wine" (or unwind, lol) or a glass of champagne to celebrate...

Such a great find.... tucked in an unlikely strip mall. The owners and service are amazing. The food is great and the wine pours are VERY generous.

This is a relaxing and unassuming wine bar. James and Tim are friendly without making you feel obligated to purchase the most expensive wine for sale. Friday and Saturday, a full meal is offered. The menu for dinner changes each weekend and is posted on their Facebook page and website. Saturday usually includes live music from local artists. There is a small menu of tapas available Tuesday-Saturday (cheese plate, bruschetta, hummus, etc.). I used to frequent a different wine bar in Meridian but I like the atmosphere here better. Also, during the winter, there is a roaring fire in the fireplace! Perfect for those cold nights with a glass of vino!

I have been here twice; the most recent the customer service was so egregious I felt I had to leave a review. We have visited the wine shop twice for their Thursday wine tasting. I will say their wine tasting on Thursdays is excellent great way to find new wines you might enjoy the customer service was so bad I will never go back. I typically go with a group our first time the owner set up tables for us; it was fabulous. This last time I made a reservation in advance; he literally called me two hours before to confirm. He said he would do smaller tables this time; I asked would we have seats he said yes. We show up 15 minutes before our reservation the place is completely full no open tables no reserved tables nothing. I walk up to the counter and ask the owner where our tables. He says they got busy just shrugs his shoulders nothing I can do. I was shocked not a care at all nor any attempt to address the situation. I came back up a few minutes later said what about the patio despite the recent rain/being a little cool-he said he'd wipe it down. He never did; people say out there for 20 minutes never got served. We literally had to stand behind people as they were leaving to get tables; he didn't care at all. He actually just disappeared in the back never checked in with us; never apologized nothing. I was shocked some of the worst customer service I have experienced at a restaurant in my life. Why would you confirm a reservation two hours before and then not have seats for us when we arrive? He later made a reappearance once the dining room started clearing guests by then most of our group bailed since we couldn't sit together (several people ordered food never got it). He never apologized never just avoided me the whole night. It was just horrible customer service all around. I would not recommend them at all especially don't make a reservation you might end up standing.

Vine Wine is a place of happiness. It's small, quiet, cozy and makes you feel right at home. With the combination of wine aficionado and culinary genius that creates great meals for the "After Six Entree" with perfect wine pairings, it gives you and your taste buds memories that will last a lifetime. Whether you are out with friends or just that special somebody, the atmosphere is great for almost any occasion. Thank you, James and Tim and all the servers who have helped us. You are all amazing and we love every minute we get to spend there.

Great atmosphere, quiet and awesome food! Get the Polenta Fries!! Hummus is also superb. Love that you can taste your wine before buying! Great neighborhood area and good parking. Will def go back.

Attended a free Thursday night wine tasting this evening. It's clear that the valley is discovering this outstanding wine shop! Arrive early to get a cozy seat by the fire place, because by 7:30 nearly all the tables were full. People came for the tasting, but stayed for great wines, appetizers and ambiance! Impressive selection of wines on the wall, and the owner is so knowledgeable! Favorite wine shop!

Great atmosphere, lovely wine, extreme pricing. This would have been my new favorite spot. However when you have to pay $10 for a glass of wine when the bottle is not even worth $20, I am very disappointed. I will not make that mistake again. Sorry guys

Vine Wine Shop and Lounge has brought back fine dinning to the bench! Chef Franck Bacquet hasn't lost his touch. Thank you Tim and James for a wonderful evening complete with songs from the Fabulous Floyd. Hope to have many more evenings of fine wine, delicious food, romancing & dancing at Vine Wine.

I did a quick drop in to this beautiful wine shop looking for a wine for my wife. The people were very friendly and immediately asked how they could be of help. They did not have the wine I was looking for, but called around and offered to have the wine I was looking for the very next day. Cannot express enough how impressed I was with their customer service and willingness to go above and beyond. A lot of other places would have tried to talk me into buying another brand of wine, but they understood the importance of having this bottle. Kudos...

Great, quiet atmosphere. My wife and I like to stop for an evening ending glass and bedtime snack. Have not had main menu, but tapas are great. Really like the cheese and fruit plate.

This place is amazing...I just discovered it last night. If you enjoy amazing wine and awesome service, yes the owners actually care about their customers, this is the place to try. Jazz, wine, great food, no t.v., no distractions.

Just finished two glasses of bold red and a cheese plate with the hubby! Fun space with nice outdoor patio and great service!
