Local seafood bar with natural wine & craft cocktails

"Chris Elford and Anu Apte-Elford, the owners behind drinking institution Rob Roy and others, pair natural wine, cocktails, and snacks at Vinnie’s, named for Apte-Elford’s mom and located adjacent to their tropical bar Navy Strength in Belltown. As with their other spots, Vinnie’s is high-concept but low-pretense, with colorful, homey decor, an open kitchen where you can chat with the oyster shucker, and knowledgeable servers to guide you through a concise list of glass pours that ranges from Basque white to Georgian orange. The seafood bar shifted to a bottle shop during the pandemic, and kept the latter when shifting back to the former, so you can also grab wine to go." - Eater Staff

"Currently still open for takeout, Vinnie’s Wine Shop is one of No Anchor’s sibling businesses continuing takeaway service, though co-owner Christopher Elford suggests they could 'take a little nap during the winter' while No Anchor undergoes a full program rewrite." - Gabe Guarente

"Christopher Elford, co-owner of acclaimed Belltown bars No Anchor, Navy Strength, and Vinnie's, expresses concern over the early alcohol sales cutoff impacting their sales." - Gabe Guarente

"A little over a year after opening as a destination for PNW seafood dishes and natural wine, the Belltown spot formerly known as Vinnie’s Raw Bar has leaned into wine and reopened as Vinnie’s Wine Shop, a hybrid wine shop and bar next to Navy Strength. I found a substantial selection of bottles available for retail while food remains on offer — oysters, mozzarella mac ’n’ cheese, and charcuterie — which customers can order for takeout or for outside dining on the new patio; wine now appears to be the primary focus, accompanied by some vinyl record background music. Among the offerings are Exile (a French sparkling gamay hand harvested in biodynamic vineyards) and Blood & Flowers (a smoky Syrah from California)." - Gabe Guarente

"I noted they announced they will close on Friday in solidarity with Black Lives Matter Seattle-King County’s statewide general strike, joining more than 60 local restaurants, bars, breweries, and cafes shutting for the day to honor lives lost and press for action on police violence." - Gabe Guarente
