Vinny's Pizza

I was very excited to try this restaurant but ended up being very disappointed. We are from New York and love trying to find the best pizza down here. But sadly, this is not it. We ordered the Buffalo and upside Sicilian. The Buffalo was pretty good. But the Sicilian was a soggy mess. It wasn’t cooked and it felt like you were biting into a cake, not cooked at all. We had to put it back and cook again in the oven. This is NOT how you make a Sicilian pizza.

My husband and I came here one day because our other pizza place was closed. We were pleasantly surprised! So when you walk in you just order at the counter if it's to go or dine in, which is convienant. We got a large half cheese half pepperoni, and garlic cheese knots. The garlic cheese knots were pretty good. The sauce it came with was very flavorful and everyrhing was seasoned well. Pizza arrived shortly after.. The pizza is delicious, the sauce flavor is on point. I just wish they baked the pizza a few minutes longer, the bottom of the crust was a bit under done. It was perfect for reheating at home though. Do not judge this place on delivery alone. They use doordash and doordash is terrible. Just go eat there or pick up to go.

We haven eaten at this restaurant 3 times. The first 2 times we were very pleased with the food and service. Our third time wasn’t as memorable. We originally loved the sauce but the third time just seemed like tomato sauce warmed up. The meatball sub went from 3 whole meatballs to 3 half meatballs on the third visit. The calzone ordered did not have any banana peppers on the first half of the calzone. Very little pepperoni but heavy handed on the green peppers. The green peppers were the only thing you could taste along with cheese and feta that was ordered. This is in no way to disrespect the overall food of the restaurant. It may have been just one bad visit, however we would like management to know so they are able to make changes that may be needed.

Hands down BEST pizza in SC!!!! Thick, doughy & crispy crust.. cheese is on point.. NY'er here! I have been so disappointed in the pizza down here. So glad to have found this place!!! Definitely coming back!

Pizza was good but for 2 o'clock on a tuesday we waited an hour to get our pizza. We got the grandma pizza, and I'm gad it was delicious or I would have been upset for how long it took.

Where should I begin. Called Vinny's last night to order food for delivery and was told have to make delivery through there website. Again, their website. Once order was placed a 7.99 + 4.99 service/delivery fee was attached, a time of 45 minutes was given. An hour and 25 minutes later food was not delivered nor did I get any type of update with tracking. I then called Vinny's which this was 9:06 and was told that they were closed. I then asked about my order and they stated, our 73 dollar Food order was still sitting on their counter getting cold and no driver had picked it up. Got on the phone with the manager Matt, which was very helpful and apologetic and he contacted their delivery service and finally got a driver. An hour and 40 minutes after the order was placed, a driver finally picked it up to drop it off. Then to be met with a driver who did not have a license and that last night's checkpoint in Goose Creek was not able to go through to deliver our food. Called Vinny's back and spoke with Matt again, he then was apologetic and stated that we would get a refund and if we were in the area tomorrow that please place an order because this is unacceptable and he will be more than happy to make this right. Hence the next day, call up to Vinny's and speak with Matt and said hello it's me from last night we would really like to try this again and was stated that delivery would not be an option which we were okay with but then was told there would be no reorder for no cost for the debauchery of last night and that quote, I can throw you a bone maybe take a little off but that's about it. I was thoroughly confused and how the conversation went last night to the conversation we were just now in. I am just floored how at this point I'm now getting thrown a bone, as though he's doing us a favor. Unreal, $73 in food is not chump change and granted still have not gotten my refund. I guess Matt, was hoping he just would not hear from me and would not have to hold good on his promise to make it right for us. Will not be ordering through Vinny's again. What a joke!!!!

This place was very disappointing. Ordered the “family meal” but for $50 you’re better off going to Little Caesars. When the food arrived the pizza looked like someone just threw it together in the kitchen. The garlic knots were hard and not very flavorful. The only decent thing was the Diet Coke since it wasn’t made there. First and last time here

OUTSTANDING!! Everything I've tried is Insanely delicious!! The New York style pizza is absolutely addicting; a perfect crust (crisp with great chew) with just the right amount of sauce, cheese and peperoni. The cheese steak and SOP are terrific and are highly recommended, both use a good sub roll (very important). Chicken and eggplant parm are rocking!! Try Chicken Parm with vodka sauce - nice!! I'm still working my way through menu but everything I've tried has been incredibly delicious; high quality never skimping on key ingredients or portion side. All can be attributed to GM Mathew (thanks Mathew you are certainly rocking this). And a special thank you to Jade, Kris and John for great customer service and making our experience pleasant. For first timers and newbies I highly recommend you dine-in for the best experience. You won't regret it.

Vinny's Pizza menu has many delicious selections. The food is fresh and hot. In my opinion one of the best Pizza Joints in the Goose Creek area. The Stromboli is delicious. You definitely will get your best bang for the buck. The restaurant is small with limited seating. If you are unable to driver to this pizza gem, they do offer delivery and available on Uber Eatz

This review is for the dine-in experience. When you walk in you def get a homey pizza shop vibe. You order at the counter and sit anywhere to wait. The pinball machines were broken which was slightlt disappointing. But there is fun decor and a relaxed vibe. We ordered a large half cheese and half pepperoni pizza , as well as cheesy garlic knots. The cheesy garlic knots came out quick and were decent. Soft, with strong cheese and garlic flavor . A bit dry but not bad. The marinara sauce was the best part. The pizza arrived shortly after, the flavor of the sauce makes the whole pizza. Good amount of cheese also, my only complaint was that the bottom was a bit under I would have preferred it a little bit longer in the oven to be crispier. It was perfect when we reheated it at home. Also it's kind of pricey I feel like. But if you want some pizza and you're in town this is likely your best bet aside from pizza hut. Would come back for sure

This is sadly a very mediocre pizza place. I had so much hope for this spot from things I had heard but every time I've gone, it's been over priced for the quality served. I feel like that can be shown in the front of the house too where the AC cannot keep up, and everything is falling apart with the booth cushions and the pinball machine has been messed up. Hopefully things will change. Love to support and can see the potential.

I was a bit skeptical about ordering the city slicker pizza when my friend suggested it but I was so happy when I tasted it! Vinny's is such a hidden gem in the Goose Creek area! It's become one of my favorite pizza places now! The booths could be replaced if you're looking to sit on inside, but you can always carry it out! It's delicious either way!

I had the worst experience ever. I had a "pizza delivered" that never actually arrived. and the lady that picked up the phone when I wanted to explain my experience was extremely rude. She tried to blame me, for their own inadequacy. I highly recommend everyone strays away from this establishment. 0/10

Today was my first time coming here. I'm used to Pepe's Pizza and Sally's Apizza of New Haven, CT. We also had in Bristol, CT, Pavillion Pizza. I moved away from pizza heaven about 20 years ago and have been in search of the ultimate NY / New Haven, CT style pizza. I believe my search is over. Vinny's pizza is delicious. The crust is a perfect thin with just the right crisp. The cheese and pepperoni tasted fresh with just the right amount of sauce. I wish they were closer to where I live. I know the next time I'm in the area or just need to venture out, Vinny's is the place!

Pizza is good and they use a great mix of cheese and the crust is nice BUT it is not a New Yorker would not go crazy over it. The toppings were fresh and my lunch partner had a supreme. (Picture attached) The Salad was fresh and wonderful but in came in a to go box. There is no service to speck of so forget about dining in. Carry only. The dining room is a mess and they don't have servers. Cheap paper plates and plastic silverware that won't cut your pizza. Very disappointing. I have heard such great things and when my friend was taking me out for lunch I wish I would have picked Somewhere else that had a nice Dining Room and good service.

This place used to be so good years ago, when the dining room was full service and you could get the best pasta meals, sandwiches, calzones, etc. We used to love going there for dinner. After Covid came around, all you could do is order to go. By the time I would get home with a pizza, it was a cold soggy mess. A couple of times we ordered and sat on the tailgate in the parking lot and ate our pizza. Fast forward to now, I called and they said the dining room was open, but that they didn't have quite full service. So we tried them once again. Our sandwiches were given to us in styrofoam boxes. The girl on the phone should have said "we have a place you can sit down". That was all. The chicken was tough, very hard to chew. We did not finish our sandwiches. Both my husband and I left there thinking, well, I guess we won't be coming back here anymore. If you're looking for a good take out pizza place and live nearby, this place would be ok. But it is not what it used to be, as far as everything else. Too bad, because it was one of my favorites.

I absolutely love the pizza here there Philly cheesesteak is the best And my mom's loves their calzones. Us being from up north this is the closest you're going to get to New York style pizza.

Vinny's Pizza is, unfortunately, inconsistent. When they are good, they are one of the best pizza places around. But when they are off their game, the food is downright gross. In the past week I have had Vinny's twice. I ordered the same pizza both times. The first time, delicious! Today, it was an undercooked, soggy mess. And this isn't the first soggy pizza I've had from them. They tend to overestimate the time it will take to cook the pizza. I have arrived on time for a pickup only to be given a cold, congealed pile of cheese on dough. This leads me to believe it wasn't cooked thoroughly in the first place or they finished much sooner than they estimated and it had already cooled by the time I arrived. So if you do order from them, make sure to arrive early AND check the quality of your food before you leave. Also, I highly recommend you do NOT get the fried ravioli. I really wanted this to be my go-to New York style pizza place, but with their inconsistency in quality and very high prices, I probably won't be visiting again in the near future.

My girlfriend and I were looking for a new spot to try pizza. We found this place and saw they had a deal for the large 2 top pizza, garlic knots, wings, and a 2 liter for $35. We were excited to try it. Unfortunately the pizza was the only thing that was edible. The sausage we got on it was good. Other than that it was a very average pizza. We were not able to finish the lemon pepper wings. It was as if they were fried too many times and very hard. The garlic knots were the same way, they were very hard which made it hard to chew. The marinara sauce that came with them was watered down as well. We basically paid $35 for mediocre pizza and a 2 liter.

Visiting from Florida once again. The first thing the family wants to do is GO TO VINNIES! We always try to get more than one visit in. We are meeting friends there this evening. We are already thinking about what we want for dinner and it's only 11 AM! The chicken parm roll has always been to a favorite. I love the pizza and of course an order of garlic knots is a must . I was craving pizza but after looking at their menu I decided to get the Stromboli. Best decision ever! It was huge and filled with pepperoni onions peppers and mushrooms. It was too big so I'll be eating that I have one tomorrow. Next time I think I want to try the calzone or I just might get a Stromboli again yum

I ordered a meatball grinder came with no cheese. How do you forget the cheese on a meatball grinder

10/10 wish i had a pic of it , ate the whole pizza in 5 minutes literally. the best pizza it was greasy a lot of pepperoni wish it was a ting bite more crispy but not to the point where it wasn't a 10/10 still & my bf says they were nice in there but it took like 15-20 mins & pizza was still hot when he picked it & got home didn't have to heat it up

Great pizza. These pizzas have great cheese flavors and sauce. Expect to pay more with less toppings but it's obvious that the ingredients are better quality and better prepared. The flat crust was great but the end crust was a bit dry which would be ok if the dough was more airy or the toppings placed closer to the end. I paid around 55 for two specialty on a pick up. I would say it's worth trying out if you like New York style pizza. Unfortunately it will most likely not be as good and a bit over priced. I've never had pizza in New York so you be the judge. None the less, it's a tasty slice.

Love everything they have! Veggie pizza and hot Italian sub is my favorite. It's nice that the dining area is open again from covid but not the same- still great food

I've been looking for an authentic New York pizza place since I moved here and I heard some good things about Vinny's. With everything going on in the world I could only order takeout. The online ordering process was really easy and my food was ready right away. I ordered two slices of cheese pizza and some garlic knots. The knots were very good and came with a marinara sauce. The pizza slices left something to be desired. They were dried out and borderline cold. I'm willing to give them a second chance though once things get back to normal and I can sit down and eat a fresh meal. Worth a chance if you want New York style pizza.

I have been looking for a good pizza shop since southern pizza closed down near me for over a year & 3 days ago, I FOUND IT! Pizza's delicious, not too pricey and they have a lot of other food options that i am super excited to try. If you're unsure of this place, DONT BE! They even do single slices before 4pm!!!!

Great pizza, and it could be the closest to Jersey pizza in the low country. Well done and I ate 3 slices driving home.

This place hit the spot when we were moving house and were totally beat packing and packing and packing and then unpacking and unpacking and unpacking. It was almost like opening a random page in a phone book or spinning a globe and seeing where your finger lands at random...and then ordering from there. Would we seek this place out again? Nah. It was sufficient enough for putting sauces cheese gobs in our gullets and falling asleep exhausted.

First off I grew up in the Goose Creek area and use to eat here with my mom 10+ years ago and decided to give it a go a couple months ago. The first time was great so I gave them 5 stars but every time since there seems to be a problem from topping's missing to pizzas being over cooked and just the other night being stretched too much to where the center of the dough was so thin the pizza was just toppings in the middle. I usually give a place 3 tries as there can be plenty of reasons to having a off day especially given the pandemic but after that I lose all hope. I will not be returning here.

Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me. Ordered online during Christmas and two hours later we received an email our order was cancelled by the store. Tried calling and got no answer. We were left scrambling to try and find a way to feed our guests and it took over a week to get any money back. Called and ordered tonight to give them another shot and we were told it would be an hour and a half....well over two hours later I call to check on it and I'm told it will be leaving the store "soon" and hung up on....I don't care how good the pizza is, customer service here isn't worth it.

This is my go-to place for takeout pizza locally! My favorite is the BBQ Chicken Pizza and the Garlic Knots, and I've never been disappointed with anything I've tried. They are generally very quick when I call ahead to pick up, which I appreciate. I'll continue getting my pizza from here when I want some nice, greasy, NY style pizza!

Vinny's used to be better and would have given 4+ stars a year ago but they have slipped in quality since then. We had a specialty pizza, the Crowfield, which we had before and loved and this time the crust was tasteless, the sauce bland and the toppings looked lifeless. They also increased prices and the online menu does not reflect that. They also stopped making 18" pizzas but don't tell you until you get to their place and then they just have a printed piece of paper hanging there.

Went for first for time last night at a car meet and the pizza was great, wings bomb too! The staff was also cool and told me about a free raffle and I won! Cool first time

I haven't been to Vinny's in years, but I recall it being delicious, and today was no exception. I went into the restaurant and ordered and took it home. I ordered a large pepperoni pizza with a couple extra marinara sauces. I lived in New York for many years and I know good New York pizza. These guys do it right, thin crust hand tossed, foldable slices. The best part is the sauce. If the sauce isn't right, forget about it. Vinny's sauce is fantastic! And the ingredients are quality. I am glad I revisited them today, I was craving exactly that pizza. Will be ordering from them again!

Visited Vinny's working from home on a weekday afternoon. Ordered at the counter and had a seat in the dining area waiting for the pizza. Checked out the interior while I waited, looks nice and clean. Staff was friendly as well and kept me updated on how my pizza was coming along. Pizza arrived in about 20 minutes and the looming ride home began. Right away the smell of the pizza is good, almost hit the Rinse and Shine so I could sneak a slice and get the truck washed at the same time. But I headed straight home to try Vinny's NY-style pizza for the first time. Initial impression opening the box is damn that's a nice looking pizza. Second impression; as I lifted a slice to my plate the tip crumbled and about 1/3 of the cheese and meat slid off back into the box...the dough is undercooked, and if not then surely not crisp. Third impression as I do the NY fold on the slice and take a bite is this taste pretty good. A planned two slice lunch turned into a half pizza ordeal and how was I going to get any work done with all those carbs? Honestly, the crust was my only disappointment with the pizza but it did thicken as it sat on the counter top. So I'd consider the dough cooked, I just prefer my dough a little crispier which I would probably ask for an extended cooking time next visit. Vinny's has wings, pasta, salads, and sandwiches in addition to the pizza. Sorry it took me a couple years to find them but I'm adding Vinny's to my GC pizza menu.

Stopped in at his facility around 7 o'clock in the evening to try and buy a few slices of pizza and a beer or a Coke. When I was advised upon arrival that they only serve slices till 4 o'clock. When I asked them how long it would take to make a pizza I was told 45 minutes. There was absolutely nobody in the restaurant but the two rude young ladies working behind the counter. When I asked them about other restaurants in the area I received it I don't know from each one of them. I've never seen two more rude individuals in the restaurant business as I saw these two young ladies. Needless to say I'll never go back there again.

Best pizza in goose creek. Stoner's has nothing on Vinny's. Nanny's margherita is my fave. Love the fresh ingredients. Service is pleasant and quick. Way better than any chain

Does this place even exist anymore? Used to be one of my favorite spots. But they never accept online orders and they don't answer the phone EVER. What's the point? I guess the only option is to go into the restaurant. I'll just find a different go-to pizza spot.

This place isn't great but it also isn't terrible. It is a place you go to when you just need to get a quick pizza. It is a shame because with a few tweaks it could be a great slice. The thinness of the crust is spot on but the taste of the crust is nonexistent and the sauce has little to no flavor as well. But sometimes you just crave bread and cheese and therefore this pizza does in a pinch. This place is friendly, however, and the prices are great. If you are having a party and need pizza, this is the place to get it from as you can order the XL cheese pizzas and get a lot of food for a great price. When we order from here we do pickup since delivery can take forever. During COVID they only do pickup and delivery and masks are required to pickup.

Moving day is a pain. We just moved to Goose Creek from Palmdale, CA. I was tired, hungry, and in no shape to either cook or " go out" for dinner. So I YELPED pizza delivery and Vinny's had some good reviews. I called them and ordered a pizza. The girl who took my order was very nice and efficient. Since I told her I was new to the area she offered to include a tobgo menu with the delivery. It was delivered in about 20 minutes time piping hot and perfectly cooked. It is a Brooklyn Style Pizza. The dough, sauce, cheese, and toppings were all very good quality, and we really enjoyed the pizza. I'll be calling Vinny's regularly for all my pizza deliveries.

We were hesitant to try Vinny's because of the lower reviews here on Yelp but decided to finally give it a try this week. I wish we hadn't waited so long. The pizza is amazing and the garlic knots are to die for. We will definitely be getting our pizza here from now on. They are a tad bit on the expensive side, but that's to be expected from a non-chain. I don't even have photos to add because we finished off everything so fast. Definitely don't skip Vinny's because of low reviews. The pizza is great!

The whole experience was great...from the server, to the food to the seating/atmosphere..and I was visiting a friend and we sat there for 3hrs in the most comfortable booth! Quick and to the point; would certainly go back again! Ordered the garlic knots and I've never had them before but they were delicious. My favorite was the pizza. I got the lunch special and ordered a signature specialty slice. I didn't think one slice would be enough so I added another and choose a different pizza. I got one marguerite style and one vege style. The slices came and they were so large I could do the fold style eating and still had a large slice. The veggies were crisp and something about that crust was delicious. It was crunchy/fiery and the melted fresh mozzarella kept me wanting to keep eating despite how full it was getting. I ended up taking a whole slice home and it was dinner! I enjoyed that the fountain drink tastes like a carbonated Dr Pepper and not watered down. Josh was the host/server for the entire floor and the whole experience just made you feel like part of an Italian family. I can't wait to return. As I'm writing this, starting to mouth water for the veggie pizza again...next time one slice will suffice! I am just mad at myself for not getting a picture of the slices of pizza before I devoured them.

Just ordered 130$ worth of food from Vinny's Pizza and it was bad enough to login and write this review. I only do yelp reviews on outstanding restaurants and/or great service or the absolute worst. Honestly I'm not sure how this place is still in business, it was the most salty slice of pizza I've ever had in my life. I was missing items from my order but honestly if it were good food I wouldn't really make a fuss. Somebody please tell me otherwise.

Food is mediocre, service is slow, manager doesn't know what he's doing, and the restaurant itself is dirty. Won't be back and wouldn't suggest going.

Don't order pasta from here- it doesn't taste like anything, super bland. Do order their pizzas though if you like your pies thin crusted and cheesy full of flavor. Do order their wings- they're big and juicy, consistent in size and soo fresh and yummy. Crispy wings with juicy tender meat on the inside. If you're wanting delivery, call an hour before you want it delivered because that's normally how long it's taken them over the past year - or just call ahead and go pick it up in person. Pricing is alright if that's important to you. They're definitely not the cheapest but they are pricier places. I suggest asking about their special/deal of the day, it is better value- slightly, but better than nothing. I do recommend this place for your nightly pizza run or game day food at the house.

Their cheese pizza is what we ordered and it was absolutely delicious. The garlic knots were on point, garlicky, buttery, and soft in the inside but just the right amount of crisp on the outside. Must try in the area! Also, they're opened later than most places for those that get off later in the night but still want some food.

A+ , 5 stars and a staff that knows how to treat ya when you walk in (lobby is closed for dine in it appeared). I called for carryout was ready when they said & hot. 16" plenty for 2 add the wings we had honey BBQ/teriyaki very generously coated and not dry also still hot! call them! get' cha some. And try the knots too!

Their pizza is delicious, but every time I have called if I want to pick up then I wait an hour to 2 hours, if I want delivery it's 2-3 hours. No pizza is that delicious. We treat them as a special occasion place when we got time to burn.

Delicious! Being from New York I've been having a hard time finding a good pizza place in South Carolina the pizza was absolutely amazing definitely gonna be my go to spot for pizza from now on. I got meatball, onion and breaded eggplant and the hubby got pepperoni and pineapple, the pizza was loaded with delicious fresh toppings!! We also got the honey Cajun wings were awesome as well!

Ordered from here for the first time today. Highly rated. Person who took order over the phone was very nice. Delivery was quick. They said it would be 45 minuets for delivery but only ended up being 30. Pizza was fantastic. Kids loved it as well. Normally the kids make me order from Papa Johns. I think they have a new favorite now. Prices were reasonable as well.
