10 Best Wineries to Visit in California’s Gold Country | Eater SF

"If the allure of seeing the smiling face of a Doggie Diner head greet you at this vineyard isn’t enough to draw you in, Vino Noceto’s (appropriately) dog-friendly patio might be another reason to stop if your pooch is along for the ride. Plus there’s the fact that Vino Noceto specializes in Italian varietals, claiming a spot among the top sangiovese producers in the state. There are other wines on the menu, such as a barbera and (of course) a zinfandel, but one other draw on warm weekends are the wine slushies made with Frivolo, Vino’s moscato." - Dianne de Guzman

A beautiful little winery! We began our "Behind the Cellar Door" wine tasting event at Vino Noceto! Every wine we tasted on their tour of Italy tastings were totally delicious! The little cheese board they offered was a complete touch of class and so lovely! We ended up purchasing the Petit Agour cheese wheel that they turned into flowers with a cheese curler because I fell in love with it, lol

We had a great visit to this winery. It's situated right off the road and the first thing you see was the dog sculpture. Our host Mack did an incredible job with our wine tasting for our large group. We were seated outside and he led us through the tasting with funny stories and even brought out other wines for us to try. We learned a lot about the winery and the history of winemaking in Plymouth. We even tried the wine slushy, which was delicious. The charcuterie plate that accompanied our wine tasting was delicious and beautifully presented too. There was only a small bar inside for seating so we were seated outdoors. I wish there were some shade or heat lamps. The big building was closed the day of our visit. There were lots of benches and seating outside but they were unprotected from the sun and wind so we were a bit cold.

With a friend in town visiting, my husband, friend, and I made our way to Vino Noceto upon the recommendation from another winery we had tasted at. The wines are of the Italian varietal, and several of them were new to us. We enjoyed the space and how pleasant the servers were. They took the time to educate us on the wines, but in a laid-back manner that was not pretentious or presumptuous. They have ample outdoor seating with plenty of shade and umbrellas. There is plenty of parking and they are dog friendly.

No need to go to Italy when you can buy their delicious Sangiovese wine and others at Vino Noceto Winery. Such a cute winery in Plymouth! Staff are very efficient and owners are very nice. The best thing we ever did was join their wine club years ago. Of all the ones we belong to this one is the best. 😊🍷

Google
Vino Noceto has quickly become our favorite winery in Amador county. Our recent tasting was goooorgeous, and the guys helping us out were not only a lot of fun but a wealth of information. Also, can I just say that turning your signature Moscato into a slushie is a stroke of genius?? Come for the slushies, stay for the rest of the wines and DIY charcuterie boards. Damn, man. Legendary.

Mac is da bomb. Quiet as it was, we had his full attention. An excellent educator/host. We are spreading the word. Thanks, Mac(k?).

Google
Came here on a Saturday with my family for some delicious wine! Chella led our tasting and was an absolute gem--she gave us amazing service with a smile and was able to answer all of our questions about the wines, the vineyards, and the history. I'm looking forward to my next visit. Thank you Chella & Vino Noceto!

Google
Had been a few years since being here, really enjoyed the people, the wine was very good, bought two bottles and the slushy was perfect for a warm day. They had a food pop up Flora and Fauna Provisions which were fantastic and met my dietary needs without question and the live DJ spinning music was great too. Beautiful grounds as well.

Yelp
Absolutely love the setup here. We came just for the wine Slushers with the red wine floater. It was SO good and refreshing we came back two days in a row everyone here is so friendly and they also sell delicious wine chips and chocolates as well as their wines. Ask about the giant wiener dog head!! This is a new favorite in ours in Amador county

Yelp
I became a member this year and have been several times since my first. Plus I've introduced Double D to friends of mine and have sent cases to them this year. They too are fans!

Yelp
I have to say the people are right! These guys, Mac ,was top notch on informing us on there wines! I came here for Doggie Diner head, LOL But there wines are good! The winery is pet and children friendly.

Yelp
FRIVOLO FANATIC! Moscato beats all other moscatos. Not super sweet. Perfect for all year round. A chilled glass of Frivolo reminds you of a nice spring or summer day. Now that it comes in a can, it's even easier to bring with you when you're at your kid's sports game, camping, or a backyard barbecue. Highly recommend this drink to everyone I know. Winery is far from home, so I often get it at my local alcohol shop like Total Wine. If you're out to look for a winery to visit, be sure to check this one out. Tip: Frivolo slushies available this summer! Such a sweet surprise when we visited. Didn't know it can be made into a slushy. Be sure to ice your Frivolo and not use regular ice (waters down the flavor). Service: Excellent! Right when you walk in, employees greet you with a smile and help you out even with a busy room. Just walk right up to the bar. They'll get you what you want.

Yelp
Love their wine slushy. Fun way to end the day wine tasting. They had wonderful wines and their Sangiovese is great.
google avatar

Joel D.

Yelp
Just like the rest of the world, they seem a bit short staffed during the heat of the day. BUT grab a wine slushy and relax. There is a reason they are busy. They make the best sweet wine around. The grounds are smaller but they have a few games to stay busy. Dog friendly. We try to come by once a weekend (we live close) and snag a slushy in the way to eat dinner in Plymouth.
google avatar

Julia S.

Yelp
I came here on a rainy day so we were almost the only ones there! The moscato here was very good, and they serve wine slushies in the summer which I would definitely come back for.
google avatar

Melissa V.

Yelp
This location was beautiful, they have indoor and an outdoor patio. This winery is also dog friendly and welcome indoors. Host was friendly and knowledgeable we had a good tasting. 4 star only because I personally wasn't a fan of their wines. But try it out for yourself.
google avatar

Zachary N.

Yelp
Been a member here for years- the multiple kinds of Sangiovese from different lots/ areas of the property makes for a unique experience.

Yelp
Loved the vibes here. Super chill and comfortable. The music definitely ads to the atmosphere and makes for an overall good time. I bought one of their beautiful candles that smelled so good! We were attended to so quickly and efficiently. Would definitely come again.

Yelp
We went to Vino Noceto after a three day weekend of glamping near Plymouth, California on the Cosumnes River. While we were camping, a friend told us about a delicious drink she had at Vino Noceto-- it was a slushy made with wine. The idea fascinated me even though I had a hard time imagining what it would look and taste like. Vino Noceto is located not far from the town of Plymouth in the county of Amador. There are other wineries located in the area. So if one wants to make an afternoon of driving around and tasting wines - - it's something you can do in the area surrounding Plymouth. When we arrived at the Vino Noceto, we noticed they had tables with umbrellas along the main cement walkway. At the end of the walkway, there was a red barn like structure that was their tasting room. We each ordered a Frivolous Slushy in there tasting room. It was $8.75 a glass and enjoyed slurping our slushy down to the last slurp! The Frivolous Slushy was as amazing as my friend told us. It was sweet, and made with their Noceto Frivolo. I really couldn't taste the alcohol and I ended up a little headed. One of the young men described to us how to make a frivolous slushy at home. So, we bought a couple of bottles of Noceto Frivolo to make our own slushies at home. Tip: bring your picnic, and eat at the tables outside the tasting room--that way you can drink their frivolous slushies and not get a head ache. They don't do service at their picnic tables, but you can get drinks in their tasting room, and take them to your picnic table. -- Sent from Gmail Mobile

Yelp
It was sunny blue skies but exremely windy as we sat under their spacious covered patio. Things were getting blown over, so I skipped the wine tasting and just ordered a glass of the '17 Originale Sangiovese ($6). Wise and delicious choice! Paired well with the eggplant pasta I had from the Pasta Company food truck parked in the middle. My boyfriend had a lovely chardonnay that was easy to sip with sweeter notes. There are plenty of tables that are spread out for social distancing and were cleaned/sanitized after guests use. Staff wore masks at all times. No cash is accepted, only cards right now. I loved the entire vibe of the place: casual, fun, open, and welcoming. Beautiful view of the vineyard below and the giant weiner dog statue (who is also wearing a mask btw!). What's NOT to love! The sweet and humble owner came by our table to welcome us and chat about the winery. Don't miss this one!
google avatar

Sherri C.

Yelp
Wonderful hospitality & excellent wines! Stopped in without reservations and were warmly welcomed by Michelle & Stacy. This is one of the best wineries we've recently"discovered". Best rose of Sangiovese ever--don't miss it on your way to our favs--their reds. Dog-friendly too!

Greg R.

Yelp
Greatly enjoyed our tasting at this winery. I am a sucker for Sangioviese so this was right in my wheelhouse! The wine ambassadors were knowledgeable and friendly! Ended up with a bottle of each tasted! Second time here and both visits were quite on-point. Bocce ball court was calling my name but we had another tasting scheduled within the hour! And who doesn't want a picture with the Doggie Diner "statue" in their courtyard! Keep up the good work, Vino Noceto!
google avatar

Laura A.

Yelp
What an exceptional time we had here! Not only did they allow us to picnic with our own food, but the care to social distancing, proper mask wearing was appreciated.

Yelp
Visited the past warm October Saturday. The weather was gorgeous, the scenery perfect, and we even got a personal hello from the owner. Good people. Plus wine slushy! Need I say more?

Yelp
Came up for day trip with reservations for a tour and tasting. The actual winery is very small but they carry and serve wines from other local wineries to make things interesting. I'm not sure if it was due to Covid protocol but there was no tour. Our server/ wine guide was very pleasant and knowledgeable. He made an effort to find wines he thought we would like even though they weren't part of the normal sampling. I ended up purchasing several items that were on sale and we had a good time here. If you enjoy sweeter wines this should definitely be on your checklist.
google avatar

Yelp
Absolutely wonderful. Wonderful view kind staff. Very warm. Very service oriented. We were primarily assisted by Andrea. She provided the very best service I have had at a winery in years. She is attentive explained the wine. Told us some history about winery and area. Our group will return soon due to her excellent service. The winery has a beautiful patio. Great music. Clean tables. Clean restrooms. We will be returning and will join the club.

Yelp
To me Vino Noceto sums up what a winery visit experience should be like: * Friendly, knowledgeable, outgoing staff who clearly are passionate about the wines * An approachable no-attitude atmosphere that encourages quaffing * Decent variety - more reds than whites this time around * Cheerful ambiance with plenty of seating; picnics encouraged As others have noted, the Frivolo, as its name suggests is a light, easily drinkable white that even comes in a can. I was hesitant, nay perhaps even a bit skeptical, that something out of a can could be drinkable. A bit fruity but not overly cloyingly so, I would pair it with Thai -- or even a turkey sandwich. I was converted: wine out of a can can be good (no pun intended). These little guys would be easy to take on a hike, picnic or even a movie ha ha. Maybe I hadn't been drinking the right kind, but sangiovese was never a favorite of mine. Kind of like petit verdot (*gasp*) but when I tried the estate 2015 Sangiovese, I was converted. Well-balanced and not too tannin-y, it's meant to be drunk now. Like I wanted to open the bottle once I got home. Reasonably priced at under $20, the grapes are sourced locally and could pair up with almost anything. So there you have it. Converted to drinking wine out of cans and sangiovese. I recommend stopping by!

Yelp
Nice atmosphere, very friendly staff. I would come back absolutely! Only thing I personally do no like the bathrooms that are shareable. Other than that, yes definitely recommend.
google avatar

Chloe B.

Yelp
Their wines will make your taste buds transported to a villa in Italy. Yum yum. They have well spaced tables for safety in these covid times. I do have to comment the pouring was a tad slow for my tastes. Staff super friendly. Recommend.

Yelp
I've been a long fan of Vino Noceto Sangiovese; I had the pleasure of visiting for the first time back in 2010 and they were welcoming and as wonderful as I remember. Suzy and Jim Gullett have been making Sangiovese for over 25 years and their catalog of wines includes eight, yes eight, different Sangioveses among other things. The wines are wonderful, the tasting room is rustic and intimate and the grounds are lovely. In addition to the grape vines, there are olive trees, 200 lilac bushes, and two acres of walnut (noceto) trees. Taste their olive oil in the tasting room and check out their bottles of grappa. Vino Noceto is known as "California's Sangiovese Specialist" so why wouldn't you want to visit them?

Yelp
Such an fun and inviting location for tasting. When you walk up there is a bocce area and outdoor seating with umbrellas and the Old Doggie Diner head is smiling in the courtyard. The tasting area is open with many interesting retail items for sale. There appears to be 2 tasting areas but due to it being a Wednesday, one side was open. The Sommelier was engaging, knowledgeable and suggested we try an additional wine of the same style but different year. As she mentioned, the 2018 version versus the 2017 version was a much sweeter bottling. We chose to taste the white wine flight as we typically drink reds. Not a bad tasting as we left with a few bottles of white. I found all of the wines very fragrant and nice on the tongue. I don't care for overly dry wines so these certainly would be something I could enjoy regularly. The final wine was a Sangiovese which you could take over to the far corner for some fun. This area has little mason jars containing soil, peppercorns, mushrooms, sun dried tomatoes, oregano, tea, pencil shavings and liquid smoke. The idea is to taste the wine and see what your nose and taste buds sense. I chose 3 - peppercorns, mushrooms and oregano. My husband chose peppercorns, soil and oregano. We will check this off as one of our favorites. Hope to see you sooner than later Vino Noceto!

Yelp
Beautiful vineyard and amazing wine. The tour was great and Garrett was very knowledgeable. We had a lot of questions and he answered them all. They don't serve food but it's a great atmosphere with corn hike and bocce ball. Highly recommend...ask for Garrett!

Yelp
Oh man this place is special. Where else can you find an old Doggie Diner dog head, so nostalgic. Who knew we had such great wineries just an hour away from Sacramento? Not me. I guess I don't get out enough. But this was the second stop on a girls 5 hour limo ride last Sunday and we had a blast tasting all their wines. The best part about Vino Noceto are the people. Even the limo driver said they have the best people running the winery. A family business and you can tell these people care about their wine and their customers. Second best part is the atmosphere. We packed snacks and had our wine samples outside on the beautiful patio nestled in between the vineyard. Such a beautiful special awesome place I highly recommend you take your girlfriends, shoot take the guys to. everyone will have so much fun tasting the great wine and enjoying that great doggie diner.

Yelp
Warm welcome. Nice enclosed setting on picnic tables. Our hostess was very nice and welcoming. And informed too on wine in general. I liked the wines but for me the star was their white Sangiovese. A rather rare thing. Basically, a regular Sangiovese but vinified as a white. I would have certainly bought a bottle but at $44 it was too steep for me.

Jon F.

Yelp
A big Thank You to Emily B. our tasting host, A GREAT example of Italian winegrape verity's that were planted way back in the gold rush era. Nice outdoor areas, views of some vines, Dog friendly, relaxed environment

Yelp
We make an effort to veer from our usual wineries when visiting Amador County. Since there are more than 40 of them, it can take awhile! We stopped into Vino Noceto on Saturday to a very friendly staff associate. Very knowledgeable about the product and the region in general. The tasting menu is broken into 3 parts. Red flight, white flight and a mixture of both. Most everything was spot-on excellent with a few standouts. The Sangiovese, especially the 2015 Riserva. The other is a really sweet Frivolo. It's used during the summertime as a base for slushies! It's very good all on it's own. This is a good one!

Yelp
If you found my review helpful, please like it . I felt like I missed out on a hidden gem. This was my third time wine tasting at Amador County and I really REALLY wished I went to Vino Noceto on a previous visit being that I love wine, appreciate wine, and collect wine. First, let me start with the obvious that I adored being helped, conversed, and joked with Kim, Tyler, and Garrett who were all down to earth and sweethearts. For the wines, if you are one of those who really appreciate wine, skip to the Premium Tasting. We were lucky to go on both the regular Tasting Flight and Premium Tasting Flight ending up with a case (yes, a case) at the end. Our highlight was the delicious '18 MISTURA whihc is 25% Sangiovese Altesino Clone, 20% Petite Sirah, 10% Alicante, 5% Aglianico, 15% Teroldego, 10% Zin, 15% Barbera. The most unique one was the Trebbino which is usually not served by itself which made us buy many of them. Our biggest regret is that never got to meet the winemaker and tell him, "Dang man, you make great wine." All in all, we would highly recommend this to our friends and family. We hope to visit Amador County again and come back ... and maybe be tempted to sign up as wine members. Oh, and we forgot to play bocce ball on their court ... but at least we got to greet their huge dog!

Yelp
Had an exceptional wine tasting here!! All the Sangiovese wines were incredibly tasty, the owner Jim was SO sweet and knowledgeable, and our server/host Kim made the afternoon so fun and memorable. We will absolutely be returning, probably with friends!
google avatar

Shalabh G.

Yelp
I was very excited to visit this winery because I wanted to explore Sangiovese and drove all the way from bay area. I must say that I was underwhelmed. The wine was okay but not great. The servers were nice but not sure how knowledgeable about the wines. Maybe I visited at wrong time. Also, the tasting menu is really short (3 wines). Never seen like that before. Amador has so many amazing wineries. You can skip this one.
google avatar

Yelp
A lovely winery with such a friendly lady working in the tasting room. She told us all about their wines, the owners, the land and the surrounding property. A couple of our friends are members and she let our group taste some of the reserve wines. If you like sweet wine you must try the frivolous! It's fantastic and comes in cans as well! We even came back the next day and had a picnic lunch outside on the property just so we could purchase a couple bottles of wine and enjoy the beautiful scenery. Nice people, great wine, and even a little bocce ball set up outside!

Simran H.

Yelp
Recently my friends and I had attended this Vineyard, for a Wine Crush. The wine was decent, the food was not though. We got there and got seated right away. We had paid for the food in advanced and ended up waiting for about 30 mins. Personally, I would have not spent so much money knowing this was the outcome!

Yelp
Vino Noceto is ground zero for Sangiovese in Amador County. According to the story, the original owners researched what grapes would do best in the region, spent time at UC Davis and Italy, and planted Sangiovese vines many years ago. This is the primary focus of this cute winery off Shenandoah smack dab in the middle of wine country. There is no flash entrance to Vino Noceto beyond a humble sign on the road, so make sure to pay attention for the small road and driveway. You will notice the large barn overlooking the vineyards. This is your destination to being your Sangio-journey. Vino Noceto is also one of the few wineries in Amador that offers a tour of their facility and vineyards. I love Sangiovese, so of course I loved the wine! They offer several different versions from different parts of their property including a Rose-style that is simply excellent. They also offer a few other Italian varietals, but I was impressed by the Sangiovese. In a land of Italian varietals, Vino Noceto is doing some great stuff. I recommend stopping here if you love Italian wines and want a more intimate experience in Amador County.

Yelp
Had a very disturbing experience at a previous winery in the area. Almost jaded because of that. Chad definitely made up for it whole and completely. The service was superb. The wine is excellent! We (group of 11 ladies) will definitely return for sure! Chad, if you see this post! Please post the selfie photo!! Previously at "Jeff Runquist Winery" we weren't turned away. We walked in about 15 minutes before closing. Keep in mind we were only there because two of the ladies wanted to purchase wine from there. They already had a favorite wine from there. Here Chad, greeted us, didn't even matter what time it was! We probably arrived 5-10 minutes before closing time! Listened to our previous experience with the winery down the street. However he asked us how many of us ladies were going to wine taste( 7 out of 11). We were there past the closing time but not too late, however he wasn't trying to rush us out or even turned us down. He actually completely turned our experiences around. Thank you for the amazing experiences!
google avatar

Derick K.

Yelp
Such a wonderful experience. Great wine, very nice people, pleasant atmosphere. If you're looking to party this isn't a place for you - if you want to enjoy an awesome Sangiovese, join a great club and hang out with nice people come here.

Yelp
WILL NOT BE BACK! Stopped by on Saturday and while the tasting room was a bit busy. I cannot overlook the lack of customer service and multitasking skills from all the staff. After waiting about 10 minutes one of the guys finally stopped flirting with some women that were also tasting, greeted us and poured our group a sample. Didn't see him for another 10 minutes. Even though I let him know, I AM HERE FOR MY WINE SHIPMENT. A couple arrives and one of the other guys begins helping them and does his best at ignoring us. At this point we are standing right next to them with empty glasses and he continues to pretend we aren't there. Finally about 30 minutes later one of the ladies walks over to us, completely uninterested and we tell her where we are with our tasting and she just doesn't get it. I literally repeat the wine back to her, three times, before she gets it to give us a sample. I am not sure what was wrong with her. She appeared to be tipsy or tired. Not really sure. At this point I'm done. I go and the same uninterested lady and let her know I'm done being ignored by the guys trying to score with the ladies. Her response, "yea, why do you think us girls are on this side of the room" I tell her I want my shipment and would like to cancel my membership. UNPHASED! Not once did she bother apologizing, offer to continue our tasting, nothing... she did however ask me to write on the cancellation form that I was cancelling cus the guys were just flirting with the ladies. I didn't do it because I don't feel its my place. If she isn't being listened to by management I doubt the comment would make a difference. Vino was great the last time I was there and signed up for the wine club but this experience cannot be overlooked.

Yelp
How is it this is my first time here? Missed the memo on this one until today, when we stopped here on a whim. The wines are excellent, and the staff was especially knowledgeable and friendly, even pulling out a huge map to show us a region in Italy. We left with a bottle of the Noceto Rossi ($19), which is a wonderfully bold red blend, and the 2016 Frivolo Moscato Bianca ($18), which is lightly sweet and will be perfect for a summer afternoon.

Yelp
A taste of Italy could not be any closer to the Sacramento area. What an amazing winery located in Amador County. We have been to Amador quite a few times but this was our first stop at Vino. The wines were absolutely amazing, I think we had 10 different wine tastings all complimentary. This is quite the difference from Napa where you pay anywhere from 10-30 dollars for a tasting. Each wine was outstanding and got better with each sip. I was truly impressed with the service, overall experience and of course the yummy wine!! Cannot wait to come back!!! Thanks so much!!
google avatar

Daisy M.

Yelp
Five stars for John! Super guy and tasty wine. Very inviting tasting room and lovely offering of olive oil baguette chips. Very good wine and nice selection. We will definitely be back soon!
google avatar

Donna B.

Yelp
One of the few Amador County wineries that take you outside of the tasting room. Call ahead an save yourself a spot on the farm to glass tour. See if Steve is available. The tour takes you out to the vineyard to learn about the different varietals, growing of the vines and selection of the grapes. Learn what that glass of wine is all about. Savor it. Enjoy it. Will on the tour you will taste a few of the wines. Steve had great knowledge of Italian grapes and style wines. He was a great pleasure to spend some time with. Personally enjoyed the Frivolo. And they had a nice snack to have while trying the wines.

Yelp
Why stop at Vino Noceto when there are dozens of other spots to consider? If you're asking yourself this question you might want to wonder why you stop anywhere. Is it for the wine, the winery reputation, the rose garden outside, the grounds, or the bistro deli that they've added to keep you fed? Vino Noceto is a stop worthy of consideration, as the wine is good and, beyond that, fairly priced. Is this the fanciest winery on the block? No, you've got some down the road if that's what you're after. Remember, you are in red wine country, and that's why you want to stop here. It's a simple tasting room staffed by very friendly people willing to go the extra mile to make you happy. Yesterday's example was their willingness to open a bottle for us to taste when they only had five bottles in the place. We liked, and we bought the last four. Thank you Vino Noceto, you've earned our business and our loyalty. One of these times I need to hear the story about the dog.
google avatar

Olivia C.

Yelp
Hug fan of the sangoivese wines here and the service was off the charts fun. Brett was serving it up, I think we came away with 4 bottles and great memories of a fun afternoon tasting wine, snacking on the tomato and crackers, and playing bocce ball on their provided courts. Also note that if we'd planned we could have totally had a picnic at their countless tables on their lawn area. PROS: great wine, fun staff, nice facility, small facility CONS: not the greatest view, small facility

Harry T.

Yelp
Wine was fabulous, the staff was friendly and welcoming. The owner came out and welcomed us. Super enjoyable place to visit

Yelp
Stopped by this past Saturday afternoon with my parents who were visiting from out of town. We really enjoyed our tasting experience here! The ladies working in the tasting room were super friendly, and knowledgeable to boot. It has a laid-back vibe which we really appreciated. That's not to say they slack on the wine, though. We tasted quite a few we liked and brought home some Sangiovese (to share) and Frivolo (just for me). It's also dog-friendly, which is a huge plus for us. We would definitely bring friends here on our next trip to Plymouth.

Yelp
This is our favorite winery in amador. The white wines are must try and buy. We always stop here and spend a couple hours sitting outside hot or hold and drink a bottle of Pino with my friends who also became a members of the club. The stuff is extremely nice and very friendly. We actually became good friends and get treated as a family as well. Great family winery.

Yelp
We had a great time at this winery with ample outdoor seating and a very knowledgeable "wine educator" named Rhys. Vino Noceto focuses on Italian style wines and we were particularly partial to their "Rosso" and "Zinfandel" wines that had very good structure without too much acidity. For something quite different, make sure to try the moscato secco which is very dry white that was quite intriguing. Also, Vino Noceto offers a "frivolo"-- a sparkling white wthat is offered in single serving cans. It's very sweet and very refreshing. Highly recommended on a hot summer afternoon. Overall, it was a wonderful experience. I would definitely recommend this as a stop on your Amador tasting tour.

Yelp
Fun place...in cans so don't miss this little bit of sunshine (Frivolo) in a bottle (or can!). A friend gave a case for a wedding preset and what a gift. You'll see my selection in one of my pics. By far my favourite...Frivolo....nectar of the gods....

Yelp
Thank you Tamara for always making our visits amazing and putting up with Texas folks. This winery has the best Sangiovese around!

Yelp
Kind of a let down. When my friends and I went to visit they were wine club members. They were talking about how great the wine is and how great the facility is. When we got to the wine house we weren't created or told how the wine tasting works or anything... we then decided to just wait at the bar for someone to come serve us. About 5 minutes later we were finally being served and to say the service was lackluster is being generous. The gentleman who was serving us was more focused on serving the ladies then he was about anything else. We were there for probably 30min and only tasted 2 kinds of wines. This lack of service caused my friends to cancel their wine club membership and deterred me from buying any bottles of wine from this winery... Get your house in order....
