I wanted to find a good meal in the Milwaukee airport (usually it's hard to come by one in the airport) and Vino Volo did not disappoint! The bruschetta was fresh and delicious. The soup was hot and wonderful. I could have had a few bowls. My waiter was also extremely nice and even gave me a fun glass for my ginger ale! Great services and I will definitely be going back again!

Google
Stopped in for a sandwich and a drink—pleasantly surprised. The ham and brie sandwich is one of the best food options at MKE, way better than the usual fast food choices. Pricey, but that’s airport standard. What sets Vino Volo apart is that it’s usually calm, with open seating and no long lines. If you’ve got time before your flight and want something decent without the chaos, this is your spot.

Google
The chicken mozzarella pesto sandwich tasted fresh and homemade! The manager Nikeisha overheard me asking for balsamic glaze from the register staff and went above & beyond to go to their restaurant section to get! Stellar menu and great service, a must visit!

Google
Avocado toast with prosciutto, and a non alcoholic cocktail - both honestly WAY better than I was expecting. Not great if you're starving, but a very pleasant airport light lunch

Kevin Casper

Google
Friendly people who don’t shut down early like all of the other restaurants in MKE concourse C (cousins, chilis, mediocre pizza) I appreciate their dedication to patrons at 6:30pm on a Thursday.

Google
I would have given this more reviews just by management understanding my point in a certain situation ! But the server who wouldn’t serve me shouldn’t be behind a bar especially in an airport with anxious passengers especially Me a new mom trying to go home to her baby ! After spending enough Money I was treated wrong and in front of people which was not called for ! The manger knew the server was wrong but I will never return and will never enter another Vino as I travel a lot ! It’s sad because the the server before her was so sweet as was the manger! One person can really ruin an experience!

Google
Vino volo is my place to wait my flight at Milwaukee airport as the lounge room is just for who flys Delta, unfortunately. It’s very difficult to find a place to hangout while you’re at the airport! Normally food is terrible, poor quality and pricy. Here everything is good, food, wine, price is not bad and a little ambiance and comfort to remove us from the terminal was just what we needed. They don’t have a large selection of food on the menu, but what they have is well prepared. I had burrata bowl and it was delicious! * 3 star for food just because a short options on the menu and they didn’t have arugula salad available on that day I was there. * 4 star for service, very polite. * 4 star for ambiance, quiet and clean.

Google
Honestly, go ahead and judge me... It was a mistake that I had a layover in Wisconsin and the airport looks abysmal. But the kind and friendly staff (Aaron) at this little wine bar made it all the better. I had the celebration sparklers Chardonnay flight which is absolutely delicious and a prosciutto/Brie sandwich which was delectable. Price is not bad and a little ambiance and comfort to remove me from this terminal was just what I needed. Kudos to this place.

Yelp
This location at MKE Airport was a decent one, although the service was a little slower than expected, especially when trying to just cash out and make it to my flight on time. I liked the selection of wines which varies slightly from location to location. The complimentary Amuse Bouche had Marcona Almonds which were great to munch on! I'll make sure to hit this location again if I'm flying out of Milwaukee again.

Yelp
After a choppy landing, some food & wine to start my weekend was a must. This place caught my attention because of the cleanliness & adorable light-jazz tunes. Nearly empty, I sat at the long bar-top & ordered a Pinot Sunset tasting, tomato bisque soup, & chicken pesto sandwich. Everything tasted yummy. The lead bartender even found me lemon slices for my water even after she said they had run out. I usually do rosés, but I recommend the Pinot Noir Banshee. Thank you General Mitchell Airport for having me back!

Yelp
Acceptable quality food, ambiance not bad for an airport but still not quite enough room for the average person with average carry on baggage (not emotional baggage), acceptable service, and better than your other choices at MKE. Still, you want to spend your money on your trip, even if it's a work trip so I would pack a lunch and stop here for the coffee (which is well made) The espresso is the best thing about this place though it comes in a sad disposable cup even if you drink here.

Yelp
Good food, but it took 20 minutes to be waited on and the place was almost empty! We had to literally knock on the door to the kitchen to ask when our food was coming out! My table mates ended up leaving before the check because it took almost an hour to get our meal!

Yelp
So glad I will be traveling more to experience Vino Volvo regularly again. I love options where I get points with a reward program. They offer a relaxing atmosphere to enjoy wine and a nice snack. The MKE spot is quaint and the store option next door makes it more special. I love the option for flights to get to taste a few options in one visit.

Yelp
How wonderful to find this resturant at the Milwaukee airport, and *behind security* too! Delicious wine, great food, and a quiet oasis away from the crowds. I really appreciated the service as well - they were able to answer my allergy questions, which was helpful too.

Yelp
Located in Concourse C (Southwest Airline for the most part) I've been a fan of Vino Volo from my first visit to one in Boston Logan airport. Now, they are popping up in more and more airports which I like. Nashville, Atlanta, Detroit to name a few off the top of my head. This location is on par with the other locations that I have visited. If you like wines, then this is a great choice at the airport. And this is my home airport so I will stop here to pick up something to eat on the plane. My go to take-out are the Salmon Rolls. Good food (for an airport), small plates type variety and good variety of wines especially at an airport. A bit on the pricey side but again, it is an airport. I like the atmosphere with WIFI to work if needed. Always plenty of power outlets and the WIFI is good. I've had the clam chowder, Brie and prosciutto sandwich, smoked salmon rolls, Tuscan chicken sandwich, mixed greens with goat cheese. All very good. Today the cavatappi pasta and cured olives. Drinking Barbera from Columbia valley. I've done the taste all three for California kings and sommelier series before. I like the coaster with wine details. Be sure to join the loyalty club but keep your receipt to scan bar code.

Yelp
Best place to eat at airport... part of higher price is to scare away others and give you space. Excellent cheese and meat board. Even salad was good. Service was absent but again, at airport. Obviously I was starving I ate it all up.

Yelp
I generally like the Vino Volo chain, as it is a good spot that takes away from the hustle and bustle of a busy airport. I have been to several locations, and I would say they're all just 'okay'. I love a good wine and cheese board combo, so that's why you'll find me here. But the service is always sub-par, as most of the girls working there do not seem to enjoy it. I think the food is pretty good, but everything is crazy pricy. The wines themselves are always at least $10+, usually in the upper teens. The food is also somewhat expensive. Our bill for two ended up being nearly $90 for some snacks and wine tasting. Again, we knew what we were ordering, but pretty expensive stuff for just decent wine and food, and just okay service.

Yelp
Had a Braised Pork Taco. Then ordered the West by Northwest Pinot Noir tasting. Thumbs up on the first one from Willamette Valley in Oregon-Lingua Franca. Definite fruity tones and smooth. Second tasting also from same winery - Whoa Nelly. I found this one bolder and enjoyable as well. The final was the Gary Farrell from Russian River Valley in California but had to pass as it had elements of mushroom!! Had a second on the first one the Lingua Franca and enjoyed it for the second time. I've seen this chain in various airports. Trendy and pleasant tastings with lite food if desired. A definite come back in any airport.

Yelp
We asked for chilled white wine and they don't have ice here. Our waitress went to another restaurant and got a bucket of ice for us. We tried to tip her bit she said she was on salary and couldn't take it but would give it to the girls who work here. We will definitely be back. The customer service is amazing! The wine as top notch and the flatbread delicious

Yelp
I'd say 3.5 stars would be pretty accurate - on the scale of airport options that is!! Very sophisticated & casual atmosphere. The service was good and there was only 1 person taking care of the bar and seating area by herself. The salad I ordered, called the Avocado + Beet Salad comprised of mixed baby kale greens with sliced beets, avocado, & pumpkin seeds on top. Overall it wasn't bad, but tiny for a $13 Salad (to be expected while traveling) and there wasn't even a 1/4 of an avocado on the salad? That was disappointing since the name of the dish was "Avocado & Beet" Salad - more like Beet + Kale salad topped with a sprinkle of avocado. Anyway, I didn't have wine but the menu looked good! Average price for a glass was $12/$13.

Yelp
Went to Vino Volo at Milwaukee's Airport for the first time today. Comfortable seating and prompt service. Limited menu, but I definitely recommend this option if you are looking for a place to eat at this airport, especially if you are traveling for work and can expense the meal. I got the prosciutto and Brie sandwich and enjoyed it - although it is a small sandwich and pretty expensive ($14). But this is airport food, right? Overall, I recommend this place and want to try more from their menu next time.

Yelp
I'm truly happy that something like Vino Volo is open in Concourse C - it's a great alternative to the terrible food and drinks at Chili's across the way. I don't normally get to the airport with enough time to indulge, so yesterday was my first visit. First impressions were pretty good - the space is small but modern, clean and comfortable. There's a small menu - mostly nibbles, flatbreads, salads and the like, meaning Vino Volo is one of the better places in this concourse to eat healthfully. I picked a cheese plate ($12) which came with a chunk of blue cheese, some brie and something like a gouda? I wouldn't know because there was no listing on the menu of what was what and it wasn't described when delivered. The cheese was fine - nothing special, but not dried out. They only serve it with 2 crackers (about 6" long) which is kind of BS - I'd expect some baguette or a more generous serving of cheese conveyances. On the wine front, that too was perfectly "ok". You can go with glasses (most in the $10-13 range) or get a flight for $15-ish. Choices are decent - there's something that should please most from a sweet Riesling to a robust Cab. I started with a French blend which I didn't much love but that's on me - I fared better with a Cab Franc rose ($12). Like most places in airports, service is disinterested. Don't expect much in the way of advice if you're looking for help picking a glass. Overall, it's your best choice in the C gates.

Yelp
Super speedy and great service! They have a good and clean selection of food, drinks and dessert. Perfect portion (not too big). I'm happy I'm able to get a decent meal before rushing to catch my flight at the airport, thanks to how fast their service and food are!
google avatar

Jerry D.

Yelp
Chose a white flight before heading out to Seattle. I am not a huge fan of Riesling, but wow was it delish. Great service and great prices. Enjoyed my layover.

Yelp
If you're flying Southwest/in Concourse C, this is where you should go for wine. This might be the only place you can go for wine, that notwithstanding, however, you should go here for wine. It's bright, open, airy + comfortable. There's lots of selection. They rock flights broken down by region/varietal. It's a nice way to pass the time when waiting on a flight or rocking a layover. WINE. Vino Volo. Golo. Yolo. (Ten stars for Noah!)

Yelp
Vino Volo seems to be the best option for good food in this airport. Yes, the food and wine are overpriced but it is an airport. This place would never receive four stars when compared to anything outside the airport, but for what is available VV is the best choice IMO. I had the Brie & Prosciutto sandwich with fig jam and found it delicious. The lentil soup, while overpriced for the amount, was also very good. The atmosphere is quiet and relaxed. The servers weren't the most attentive but did seem to know the wine menu and made recommendations based on stated preferences. This is my new go to spot at the Milwaukee airport.
google avatar

Rachel K.

Yelp
First, I should say that I'm pleased this place exists. I was taking Southwest on some loooong flights and a connection back to my home in Albuquerque after a business trip and simply needed a place to unwind. This was especially true as I had a couple hours to spend and had just had an experience with TSA that was so intimate I should have been given an engagement ring. After this, Vino Volo literally loomed on the horizon like an oasis. I ordered a flight of wine which was surprisingly good, to the point I made a note of a certain wine to purchase upon returning home. The problem was that the prices were absurd for what was ordered, especially for a cheese plate that was almost devoid of cheese and an almond appetizer that barely had a handful of almonds. As other reviewers had mentioned, the service also seemed uninterested. I cannot even sip alcohol without having something edible, so I was hoping the food being served would actually contain... food. Having said that, the next time I'm in that terminal, I'll likely return.

Yelp
I received my reply from them. After almost three weeks 4 phone calls, letter to corporate headquarters it took a letter to Mitchell Field itself to get a reply. Basically it said they take statements like mine very seriously. They reviewed the video while I was there and for the next two hours after I left. They absolved themselves no one there did anything wrong. I was told to take this up with my credit card company and was suggested to ask them to see if any other vendor I used had similar problems.... OK thanks for your time....

Yelp
If you have to be at the airport, Vino Volo makes it suck less. I'm a self-proclaimed wine snob and I found the selection to be quite good. The flights (of wine that is) are a pretty good value and a fun way to try different things. I appreciated the tasting notes underneath each glass of the flight that told you a bit about each wine. It is the best wine option in the airport, and lucky for Southwest flyers like myself, it is in terminal C!

Yelp
My mother and I arrived to the airport a little earlier than we had intended for our evening flight out of town. To waste a little time we decided to get wine flights here at Vino Volo. The service was not helpful, we were literally passed 4 times by the waitresses before someone finally realized we had been seated and needed to order something. We both decided to do the wine flights and both created our own vs. doing the pre-suggested flights. The wine was good but I think a little over-priced for the amount you actually get in your glass. Also the tables for two people were very, very small in order to fit the two wine flights in addition to all the things we had with us since we were flying and carrying on our bags. I can't imagine if we ordered food where they would've put it.
google avatar

Ron Harman K.

Yelp
The service was above average, though four stars not five. Otherwise, nothing else quite made the grade, I'm afraid to say. The $12 glass of wine I had was mediocre at best, and we sent back two baskets of cheese popcorn that were way too stale, while the second one had a chemical flavor. In its place we ordered an $11 "pizza" not a whole lot bigger than a teacup saucer and which more resembled colored cardboard than any nutritional sustenance. Total bill came to $44 for two glasses of wine, one alleged pizza, and tip - about the price of a real meal in other airport eateries. I've been tempted to try VV for years after passing dozens in airports all over the country; this may be my last visit.
google avatar

Jodene S.

Yelp
Had a great time yesterday before our flight! Kayla was really helpful and the wine was very tasty! Having a glass (or two) before a flight is always a great decision. The selections are a zillion times better than you would think in an airport. Love the concept of this place! Wish they had expended hours---I often fly home after 11:00pm and could really use a glass of wine as I wait for my luggage!
google avatar

Lisa L.

Yelp
No cheese in Wisconsin? No food available on a Saturday night and closed 90 minutes earlier than posted. WTH?
google avatar

Claudia W.

Yelp
A nice spot in the airport but very expensive even by airport standards. $21 for a meat and cheese plate made with ordinary grocery store items (and stale almonds) is a bit much. This is especially frustrating in Wisconsin...land of summer sausage and cheese.
google avatar

Peter K.

Yelp
Food is pricey but done very well. Much higher quality than your average airport place. Have not tried the wines. 3 lamb balls were great. Juicy and just the right amount of mint. Cheese plate is stylish and a nice mix, but just a couple of bites if you are sharing.
google avatar

Jennifer P.

Yelp
Good place to go when balancing the heavier Midwest food choices. Great wine selection and pleasant service.
google avatar

Juliet H.

Yelp
new place in my favorite concourse... a bummer it's not local but nice selection of wines at a variety of price points. Good way to ease the pain of a delayed flight.
google avatar

MG H.

Yelp
Great find in Concourse C. Greeted very well by staff. Menu has many nice selections to pair with your wine. I had the signature salmon/crab on a crostini accompanied by the side salad with goat cheese. The signature dish was very nice. I wish I'd asked for dressing on the side. A touch heavy. The wine glass was filled with a WA cab which was very rich with little tannin. I enjoyed it immensely and recommend if your palette favors this. When you can, try OR Cascade Cliffs wines. We ship them to our home bec we enjoy this vineyard so much.
google avatar

Nicole S.

Yelp
great spot for some wine and to grab a charger at the bar for your electronics. The cheese plate was the worst cheese plate I've ever had. It was dry and rubbery cheese. Hence 3 stars, if you're a wine bar you should uplevel your cheese, even if you have to charge more. Also there were 3 staff members on, none of which were attentive and the place wasn't very busy, about 5-6 separate tables total.
google avatar

Michancy C.

Yelp
Good for an airport bar. Wine selection is really nice & well priced. Food is better than most airport food. Good place to hang out & wait for my connecting flight. Also the bar has plugs for phone chargers.

Jillian K.

Yelp
Great spot to pass time and enjoy some wine! Located at Concourse C, it's typical airport pricing at $15-$17 per glass. I enjoyed the wine I was offered and the service that I received was amazing. They have a food menu but I didn't order any food. After flight cancelation and then further delays to depart, it was just the place I wanted to experience.

Emily F.

Yelp
I know it's an airport bar but the customer service quality at this specific location is pretty dismal. Tried to sit down and said "do you mind if I sit here?" at an empty table where a woman had just left and the bartender snapped at me about needing to clean it first. I don't need to spend $9 on a glass of wine to be treated without even a shred of kindness or politeness, plenty of other places to drink at the airport.

Paul C.

Yelp
Nice selection of wine, got to try a selection I've been curious about. Appetizer: smoked salmon rolls were very good. The only down side was wait staff was not cordial, just a littttllle attitude. Would come back and hope for the best with the wait staff....
