Vino Wine & Tapas Room

This was my first time here and I have been wanting some tapas. We made reservations for this place through Open Table. We went during happy hour which had a few items that were available for $9 including some wine. We tried a few things from the tapas mine as well as from the main menu. We tried the shrimp ceviche, the chicken strips with fries, ham croquettes, calamari, bataas bravas salmon slider with fries and their empanadas. The food was pretty good. We really enjoyed the empanadas. We tried some of the wine on the tapas menu. I want to shout out the server who was subbing for his wife because he doesn't actually work there but he did a great job. Thank you, Enrique! Such a sweet staff. At night time they do have some entertainment but we missed it. We left around 6pm. This place looks deceivingly small from the outside but on the inside they have several areas for large groups. Honestly, I would definitely come back here again.

This place has such a lovely, welcoming vibe, perfect whether you're on a date night or out with the family. I especially appreciated the chill atmosphere with the soft lighting and live guitar – a welcome change from the usual big screen bar spots. They've got a great drinks selection for unwinding, and with those three spacious areas, including a really nice outdoor spot, it seems ideal for get-togethers. There was a slight hiccup with one of my repeated tapas orders almost being forgotten, but the manager was so attentive and insisted on bringing it out and taking it off the bill, which I really appreciated. Even with that minor issue, the quality of the tapas was fantastic and makes me really want to go back and try the main dishes. Definitely adding this to my list of recommended places for a relaxed and enjoyable time

Vino Vine & Tapas is one of those spots I always look forward to. I love it for the live music, it gives the place such a warm, easy energy. The food never disappoints either: the hummus is smooth and flavorful, and the champiñones soup is honestly to die for, not even mention their salads. Add in the brie, and you’ve got the perfect spread to enjoy with a glass of wine or honey bubble shampaigne

I was not expecting such a venue with live music wine bar in the area. The place is quite popular even on a Tuesday night. We totally enjoyed the live music The happy hour offering was quite good as well! Impressive wine selection for $8 a glass! The happy hour menu. We had the burger slider, a thick chunk of angus beef burger was juice and flavorful. It comes with blue cheese , as to put on the side if you are not a big fan of it. The ceviche was pretty decent as well with chunks of prawn in it. Though I wish they were more generous with the prawns chunks. The croqueta was just ok. Street parking was fairly good on a Tuesday night, but would have nice to get a free parking.

The food is pretty good here and it has a nice little ambiance. Loved the live music although it was a little too loud for such a small and almost empty room. My one big complaint is that this restaurant is in need of refurbishment. Unfortunately it has a musky smell and it might be from the old carpeting on the floors...also the chair cushions seemed really old too. Not sure if we'll return because this factor was off putting but I'd love to be a regular customer otherwise.

Come on, there is nothing Spanish in that food. Don't get fooleed with the claim "real spanish tapas". Nothing similar. Paella is like an insult to Spanish cuisine. SPANISH DO NOT PUT CHORIZO IN THE PAELLA. Service is not good either, the place is kind of nice. But as I Spaniard I feel insulted with the food. And of course over priced.

It's a nice little restaurant that has a welcoming vibe. Good for a more casual date it to hang with friends and pre game before going out. Food isn't terrible but there's better in the area for the same price or less. Wine selection is good. The flights are a good deal and offer some interesting wines The short rib was good. Tiny bit drier than id like but good

This traditional Spanish restaurant Is such a beautiful and pleasant location. The attention to detail In all of the sections of the restaurant are stunning rustic and very romantic. They have a Dinning Room indoors That Is set up absolutely beautiful with a large wood Dinning Table set perfectly for that special event you are looking for. They have a romantic vibe throughout the entire restaurant . They have an outdoor patio area with a cabana and lounge area that make you feel as if you are on vacation in Spain. The food was fresh and delicious. Our server Masha Welcomed us and made us feel right at home . The dim lighting And the light music playing in the background set the tone perfectly . I cannot wait to come back and enjoy more time here.

If you are looking for an authentic Spanish restaurant, a visit to Vino Wine & Tapas Room in Encino is long overdue. While I have been here a while back, it was calling me during Dine LA week. The restaurant has a lovely ambiance. The Dine LA menu menu consists of a choice of wine or sangria, two small tapas, one big tapa and dessert for $65. You have to start with Sangria. For the small tapas I chose the croquettes de pollo (Crispy mashed potato balls with chicken breast and Parmesan cheese). It delivered as expected, nothing extraordinary. The second small tapa for me was the gambas al pil pil (five jumbo prawns sauteed in garlic, dnied chilis and paprika). The latter had a supplement charge of $6 and was supposed to come out in a sizzling skillet (skillet yes, sizzling no). But it was a delicious dish, even though the prawns were not jumbo, as described in the menu. I dislike when restaurants use these tactics to falsely label their menu items. However, the dish was prepared well, the sauce of which was calling the complimentary sourdough bread. For the large tapas, I selected the costillas asadas (Juicy beef short ribs braised overnight with spices and herbs, served with green beans, baby carrots, and mashed potatoes). it was well presented, the meat tender, but bland (needed more seasoning) and could be eaten with a fork. I had flan for dessert. The general menu has more items, and in my opinion, better choices. Maybe next time. Service was friendly, timely and well executed.

Another place that clearly orders all of their food and ingredients from Sysco, which is going to be the death of food in this city. I'm not sure when restaurants will learn that they need to boycott these people as suppliers, but it better be soon. Where to start? You walk in and there's no indication that you need to seat yourself. No sign, no posting, nothing. There's what looks like QR menus on the table so hubs and I just assumed we had to sit down and order- yet when you scan the QR code, it just takes you to their website. Finally after being confused for a few minutes, a server came to us. Can't imagine what that's like for the employees- but I'm guessing it's not ideal. After that three more groups came in and since my husband and I were sitting next to the door, we took the liberty of telling them that they needed to find their own seats because they were confused as well. Now onto the "food", which had zero resemblance of anything close to tapas let alone Spanish food. Bland food- SO bland! Eggplant chips were stale and tasted like old oil, hummus was absolutely disgusting and tastes like something you can get at Ralph's for $2, salmon slider was nothing but salmon skin and had absolutely no salmon meat inside of it- it also kept LEAKING MAYO through the top of the SUPER dry bun, hamburgesa was entirely devoid of flavor, fries were rock hard and mostly cold, my husband's empanada was apparently good, but mine was cooked to the point of being literal ASH in places and was so dry it could have absorbed my entire glass of wine. Everything was CLEARLY premade or frozen at one point and reheated. The live music was great, the ambience was great, the server was nice and even explained to us that two of the dishes we asked for without cheese are already premade- which honestly should've set our expectations then. The WINE was decent and if we had just came here for drinks- would have sufficed. The pricing per glass was on par and the selection was ample for a local spot. Unfortunately hubs and I will not be returning based on the wine alone, a $100 price tag on food that could be served at a bowling alley? No thanks.

Negatives: I got the braised beef which was so dry, the staff understood and asked if I wanted a different dish, I asked for the mushroom soup.. it lacked flavor but I decided to just eat it. Positives: The seafood paella was GOOD! Staff was nice. There are multiple rooms which is great if you want to sit away from any live music performances. Restaurant was clean and I enjoyed the decor. I would definitely try this place again for the other dishes.

Came here for a friend's birthday and all I can say is, I loved everything about this restaurant. The staff, food, live music, and decor were all perfect (even the bathroom was so cute). You cannot go wrong with what you decide to order, so if you're indecisive like I am, you literally can't go wrong with any dish/ appetizers. Last but not least, the guitar player really makes this place shine. He is interactive yet classy, he really does a great job at teleporting you to Madrid in a summer evening eating at a restaurant with someone you love. Can't wait to go back.

The service was great! Friendly and accommodating staff. We absolutely enjoyed the musical entertainment! Very talented and would love to see him perform again! He even started playing the Happy Birthday song while we were doing a Birthday cake for someone in our party. The interior design of the restaurant was well done. I liked that they had multiple dining rooms. I love the idea of small and big tapas plates. Some of the food was a little on the salty side for my taste buds... but I want to also add that some of our party enjoyed the saltier taste. The presentation was nice. I'd come back to see the musical entertainment and try different menu items.

Had a great time with my girlfriend for dinner and drinks. They have live music which is nice but it gets quite loud and I left with a sore throat having to yell over the noise to talk with my friend. Moving on: we ordered the wine flights, I got white, she got red, general census is 1/3 of you won't like, but overall a great deal if you want to try new wines. We got a ton of apps, my favorite was the shrimp. Had a nice time here but not sure if I would come back. The service is slow.

I love the ambiance of this place. The service was very attentive, and the food was delicious, especially the garlic shrimp, which was my favorite. I'll definitely be coming back!

Food tastes amazing. The terrible service however ruined the night. Never checked on us. Had To go to the bar to get a drink. The waitress was for sure annoyed to be at Work tonight. Bussers were awesome.

Loved the ambiance and love music. The food was good, a little of the salty side, especially the paella. Loved the free bday dessert. And loved that it is 3.8% less if you pay via cash. The restaurant outlines these costs at the bottom of the menu. Makes things simpler, I believe. The staff were friendly and great. Would come back again.

Too many tapas and not enough time! The menu here is broad, no matter what your preferences or dietary restrictions are, Vino Wine & Tapas has got it. Everything we tried was delicious. The hummus with sauteed mushrooms really stood out to me. It's served with pita bread and seasoned cucumbers. So simple but so tasty. I also really enjoyed the eggplant chips with a drizzle of honey. They were perfectly charred without tasting burnt. My friend and I split a bottle of a red blend, shared some tapas, and had a lovely girls' night. The guitar player was a bit loud, but not at all offensive, and only added to the cozy vibe. I suggest making a reservation because it was pretty busy on a Thursday evening. I only saw the front room but a lot of people were walking into the back patio. I'll be sure to check that out next.

This restaurant was fantastic. The owner or manager (I'm not sure exactly who helped me) was so helpful and accommodating for my friend's birthday dinner, and we loved the private room we were in. The food was delicious, the wine list was excellent, and the overall experience was wonderful. I can't wait to go back!

We have started sitting at the bar more inside and really love it, there is always a low key and moody vibe and we love when there is live music. The happy hour is still our favorite, with some small bites and quick service.

Rating this based on the paella. So if paella isn't your thing or you're looking for more about the wine or other tapas, then you can stop reading this review. Came here on my birthday because I have been craving paella. The only paella place in SFV. So I had no options. Knowing that it'll take around 30 minutes, once a waiter came by I immediately ordered the combo and asked how they could make it more special for my birthday. He wasn't sure so I just requested extra seafood. Unknowingly though, it was seafood and seafood. Which is fine for me, but I thought I was getting the fully on combination with the meats as well. He even repeated the order back to me as a confirmation. As a paella, it's kind of entry level in my opinion. It'll come out in the pan. But there's very little crispy bits on the bottom. Disappointing. The flavors were okay. Small little spice kick but not much. To be honest, I wouldn't come back for the paella. I have to keep looking.

Food was ok tortilla de papas very dry. After we paid and left around d 1:20 am we start receiving charges on my credit card. The one I used at the restaurant. So be careful something shady is going on there.

Came here on date night with the wife, wanted to try tapas in the valley Appetizer we got calamari and mushroom. Loved the mushroom, so buttery. The calamari was good, but portion is kinda small. Entree we got was paella. Took 40 minutes for us to get the dish, it tasted good and had nice flavors with the seafood. 40 minutes wait was just too long.

Went there on Valentine's night. There is street parking. Restaurant was half empty. There is a nice ambiance to this place for a date. There is live music which is a plus although the musician takes really long breaks. Service is very slow. Dessert was fair. . .Unfortunately the owner presumes to charge you gratuity and includes it on the bill, despite the slow service. This is not right and adulterates the night. Don't you think that you should earn your gratuity? It does not matter that is a Holiday.

food was ok on a Saturday night visit. the service was slow. the bad thing though was the mandatory 20% tip already added and the final total leaves room for more tip amount. I will not go back and I advise those who dine there to look at their bill carefully. The owner responds by saying that 20% tip is added for large parties. he calls our party of three people a large party.

This is an update to my previous review. We took visiting friends to Vino Wine and Tapas Room as we have been before and have enjoyed. We sat in the room that is adjacent to the main dining room, which is fine, but we felt forgot about. We ended up canceling one order and should have canceled two, as neither had arrived when we had been finished, for quite sometime, with all other items. I totally understand, and quite enjoy, that tapas plates come out sporadically, that is part of the experience. However, intermittenly is one thing, but we sat for a very long period of time with nothing, and eventually canceled one item. In addition, the food was disappointing from my last experience and the service was less than welcoming. I am disappointed as we have been to Vino many times over the years and had hoped to continue to do so.

The place had a nice vibe. A bit loud for conversation in the main room but they have other rooms. In the main room they also had very nice live music. The service initially was quick but as the place filled up it got rather slow. This was important because we wanted to continue to order other tapas after we started eating. The food was very hit or miss. In my sons words nothing was wow. The paella was good size but ok flavor.

We love tapas and we will be back to Vino Wine & Tapas everytime we come to LA (and are in the Valley). Found it on Yelp and it did not disappoint. Great food, great service, good prices and even good music. Call outs: The food and Sangria was awesome. On the food - YOU MUST order the Shrimp "Al Pil Pil". It was INSANE! The sauce is literally one of those sauces where you taste it and the flavor makes you stop and say "where is the bread so I can sop up the rest so no one else gets any" Might result in you ordering one per person and just make it your entree. (Yea, I know this is a Tapas place, small plates, sharing, blah blah blah, but that dish is so good that sharing might require some kind of written agreement between the sharers) Mushrooms were awesome, the filet mignon skewers were killer, eggplant chips with honey?!- yea do it. And of course bacon wrapped dates which I think is what they greet you with at the pearly gates. On the Sangria - just the right amount of fruit - love the fact they did not put monster amounts of fruit in it (some places do that). Get a pitcher if you are 3 or more. The ambiance was great and service was super fast. Suggestion: loved the guitar music - great mix of classic Latin and other stuff (did a great rendition of a Prince tune). Only suggestion is that it is a little loud. We sat in the side room and it was just the right volume. Regardless of where you sit, it is great. Highly Recommend

We had dinela here - great staff, free live music, great happy hour Food is okay - we ordered the calamari, manchego cheese, mushrooms, meatballs, branzino and short rib I think the tapas were decent and may order again for happy hour but the entrees are not really worth the price. Loved this spot! Met here with 3 friends, we ordered a few different dishes and a couple glasses of wine. I ordered the "Daniel Costerno Nascetta" wine it was an organic white Italian wine! I am trying to pick more wisely when I drink and this glass was $20 but it was fabulous with my meal, it was buttery like a Chardonnay, not overtly sweet and just delicious! My friend ordered the Pinot noir "EnRoute Pinot Noir" for $30 a glass- she enjoyed it but said it was pricey for what she had. The ambiance is sensational- I've been once before this visit on a date and it's very romantic. Dimly lit, wine bottle decor, candles on the tables and lights on the bar. Beautiful spot, we did valet for $10 outside so we can run in, it was raining! Our server was very attentive and checked in, made sure our waters well full! Loved the live music, a man was playing a guitar by the door and it was adding to the overall atmosphere of good vibes, very comfortable, cozy and I wish we had ordered the wine tasting! As for dishes, I ordered the Costillas Asadas, which was a short rib in a red wine sauce with mashed potatoes and a few green beans and carrots. Portion was perfect for just me and I appreciate a gluten free option! My friends ordered; the pollo Milanese, said it was fantastic and finished every last bite! The championes al ajillo the mushrooms! (My friend was obsessed) Pollo al ajillo (lemon chicken in a skillet) large portion, tasty. The butternut squash soup was good but a small portion. Chicken empanadas my friend loved them! The fried calamari wasn't fishy and she said was light! The patatas braves (home fries) basically crispy potato bites were very yummy! Recommend ordering them! Dessert- churros are filled with custard, made fresh and come with a sensational chocolate dipping sauce! Don't sleep on the flourless chocolate chip with ice cream, rich and amazing to share! I did make a reservation on open table for 4 at 6:30 on Thursday and didn't have any issue! Would suggest this place for a date, girls night out, a special occasion, birthday, or just a fun get together with friends! Would be a perfect restaurant for Valentine's Day!! Go and share many plates and glasses of wine There's a second room that's decorated in a completely different fashion- I'll post photos attached. Would be perfect to have a party here!

Dine LA brought be to another restaurant to try. This time we met a friend in the valley so she got to choose the place. They open at 3:30pm so we got reservations for then they opened. Perfect time as there was no wait and we were seated right away. They had an extensive dinela menu and it even included wine. This 5 course meal was a deal at only $55 per person. You had a choice of wine, appetizer, tapas, and dessert. The staff was prompt, friendly, attentive, and so nice. Everything was delicious. Their meats are all cooked so tender. Lamb chops are hard to get right and they definitely know how to do this dish. They also have the best desserts that were moist and perfect. The calamari was crispy, and the manchego with loads of flavor. They open until midnight and when we left the musician was just setting up. Perfect for dates or with friends. Parking: meters are free on Sunday or after 6pm. Also neighborhood side street parking Staff: very attentive and nice Ambiance: great for dates or celebrations with friends. They also have a side room if you want a private space with a bigger group. Prices: very reasonable for the amount of food.

I haven't been here in quite some time but when I drove by the other day I'd be remised if I didn't give them credit for my many nights there with their fig wrapped bacon and music This is a great date spot when you want something that is not too loud and much going on. They have a great selection of wine to choose from and if you're lucky you can catch them on a night with live guitar and music. The times I have been there it was bossa nova flamenco style music. The place is located on Ventura. Blvd and you can't miss it with their red neon sign. The plates are small and shareable but this is not a place you necessarily go to have a full meal, this is a place you go to have the full bottle and the relaxing ambiance and vibe. The service is okay, but it's what you would expect or get with a place of this size. I'll have to be back again soon and finish a bottle here.

Best food and best wine and if you're looking for cozy place, this restaurant is the best

Very nice little restaurant cozy, live music, although it can get loud if you sit close. The service is friendly, but can be slow in responding. The food is fantastic, especially the paella, parking can be an issue at times, but manageable.

Cute little place, the back area. Came here once for a friend's birthday and it was the best. Love the ambiance.

This has been my favorite tapas spot for several years now. My go-to for date night, girls night or a special birthday. Service is pretty consistently good, definitely sweet staff. Food is usually consistent too! My favorites are the filet mignon skewers, warm lentils w goat cheese & eggplant w honey. The charred Caesar salad is unique. Wine selection is stellar! The musicians are always super talented which lends to sophisticated ambiance.

Pretty great wine selection and goods appetizers. The place expanded and has much more space. Service is pretty great as well.

I don't know what I ordered this time, I just asked the server for recommendations... I am exhausted from work and don't care to type or find out what I'm eating right now but I mean just LOOK at the video clip!! FIRE. And yes I'm eating by myself IDC and you're welcome

Speaking of tapas, each dish we tried was bursting with flavor! The patatas bravas were crispy and perfectly seasoned, while the chorizo al vino was a standout. Service was exceptional; our server was knowledgeable, attentive, and genuinely passionate about the menu. They took the time to explain the wines and suggest pairings, which enhanced our dining experience. Whether you're looking for a casual night out, a date spot, or a place to unwind with friends, Vino is the perfect choice. I can't wait to return and explore more of their delicious offerings!

Ambiance was great. The guitarist was so good. The food was a bit disappointing. Everything we ordered tasted so bland. Meat tasted like it was frozen. Maybe we came on an off night. I may give it one more try because it's so close to my house and I love Spanish food.

The food and wine were perfect, music was nice. but this one is for valet guy, the last person that we interacted with, he told us that if we wanted to get change for the cash we gave him that we would have to walk across the street to Starbucks so we let him keep the full amount of change bc it's cold and bc we are not walking in the dark across the street to Starbucks. Someone have a talk with this guy. It's less about the change and more about not telling clients to walk across the street to get change that essentially defeats the whole convenience aspect of valet. I could have parked across the street too. Again the food and service in music were fantastic. I love this local Encino restaurant, they have options for everybody But never have I ever been told by a valet to walk across the street and get change.

Food was amazing. The chef never dropped the ball on any of the flavors. Your service needs a lot of help. I sat there for 30 minutes waiting to order while your blonde server was on FaceTime in the back. It felt weird to even tip her because your busser was doing all the work. The ambiance was nice but you have a guitar player on a huge speaker in a 30x30 room with no one allowed to tell him to turn it down because we're the only ones literally in the restaurant and would like to hear each other. Then he went and sat down trying to talk to us with his double red wine completely drunk.

The Food was fair and the Atmosphere is great. I was a guest at a birthday party in a private back room, and was disappointed that the staff was very inattentive. Dirty and empty plates and wine glasses were left sitting around. We ran out of wine and it took about half an hour to find someone to help us, and for them to bring more wine & clean glasses. Then they had trouble finding a bottle opener, even though there was a bar area in our room. No one was staffing it, so we had to pour and open our own bottles. It would have also been nice to have a waste basket by the bar - for dirty napkins, and to have a person bussing tables more frequently. They were only concerned with checking the buffet appetizers every once in a while, and kept dumping items together if they were half full plates. I had been wanting to go here for a couple of years now (but hadn't been yet because of the pandemic), so I was super excited to go for this party. I was disappointed that a Tapas restaurant didn't have more Spanish offerings and less American "bar food". Also, Spanish wine selections would have been nice. It's what I expected, as I'm a certified Sommelier. Maybe this is just what they offer for parties, or what our hosts chose. The actual online food menu looks different than what we were served. I will probably give this place one more try, and hopefully there will be redemption.

For some reason when I google you, your site pops up and there's an option to tap on happy hour etc. and it's the wrong menu and times under there. Just fyi. The regular site doesn't have it wrong, but that link is outdated. Disappointing and annoying.

Five stars always, the ambiance is always so lovely. The staff is sweet and always catering to any request. Stopped by twice this month both times were just amazing. Thank you to Ingris always asking if we need anything, always kind and Enrique for being such a wonderful server. Will be coming back always if there is delicious food and staff like this! Chefs kiss!

We went there with another couple. We decided to order appetizers and was great! They also have live music that make the space very nice!

Had dinner here for the first time on a Saturday night with one other couple. The decor is traditional inside, with dark lighting. Service was terrible. Our waiter acted like he did not want to be at work, and was very bothered by every question and request. The food was hit or miss. I had: Verano Salad: 2/5 portion is extremely small, like a sliced tomato and few leafs of arugula. Would skip! Pinchos de Terneras: 5/5 Excellent! So tender and flavorful. Great sized portions. Would highly recommend!! Pollo Al Ajillo: 1/5 Extremely dry chicken; we did not eat this it was so bad Hamburguesa: 3/5 this was decent; the burgert was well prepared. the fries were average, could use salt The only thing I would order again would be the Pinchos de Terneras. The Sangria was also decent.

This is definitely a date night worthy restaurant! When you walk in it's as if you're transported to a beautiful dark and romantic restaurant in Spain! The guitar player makes it even better. He really plays a variety of songs and takes request! The food was delicious as well. To start we got a pitcher of sangria with almonds and olives in a warm oil. I got the filet mignon that came with mashed potatoes and roasted veggies. My partner got the Pollo Milanese with a salad and both entrees were delicious!

Excellent customer service from the bartender "Dany", I am not sure if u spelling his name correctly. He is very social and professional. Great ambiance to enjoy a good glass of wine of wine. My husband and I will come back to enjoy the food.

Came here to celebrate some friends and their engagement. There was no wait to be seated and the outside patio was very cute but too hot to sit and eat. We sat inside and it was cool which was great considering it was 100 degrees outside. The decor is very welcoming and place was clean. We ordered around 10 or more different items from the menu. All of the food was tasty minus the salmon slider which was dryer than I preferred. Service was ok. I think that there could've been at least 1 smile squeezed out from the girl considering a 45$ gratuity was included in a tab for 3 people. Otherwise our first time there was good.

Doesn't look like much from the outside but a really nice atmosphere and great sangria and all the food we have tried has been delicious. Only reason give 4 stars not 5 is that service could have been a bit more on point.

I had a wonderful experience here last night, and I owe it all to our wonderful waitress, Star (5/5)! She was so sweet and amazing. She was warm and attentive throughout the evening and checked on us frequently. We enjoyed that back patio cabana and our food was good (4/5). This was a tremendous improvement from previous visits. Thank you, Star! I hope management knows how important you are to their business!
