The 20 Best Restaurants in Reykjavík, Iceland | Eater
"Prior to opening the more formal Brút, owners Ragnar Eiríksson and Ólafur Örn Ólafsson launched this hip wine bar in a minimalist basement space on Reykjavík’s main drag. The wines are mostly natural or from small producers, and there are always about a dozen open bottles offered by the glass, though the lineup changes constantly. To pair with all that wine, pick from a selection of small plates and charcuterie." - Nicholas Gill
Went right around 3pm when they opened on a Saturday. Tried two wines here while my partner had a beer and we played crib. LOVED the venue and atmosphere. We didn’t eat here but everything that came out of the kitchen smelt AMAZING.
Would recommend!!

Fantastic wine bar and restaurant. Food was incredibly delicious, by far the best food we had in Iceland. Great wine selection, very attentive service. This place could compete with wine bars in far bigger cities easily. We would absolutely be back!

Came at about 19:30 on a monday so it wasn't busy, but the atmosphere was cosy and music vibey. The food was yummy. The wine was delicious, and you'll easily find one that fits your taste. Extremely sweet staff. Had an amazing evening

What a real gem in the heart of Reykjavík! The vibe is chill and and elegant at the same time. The food has been the real highlight of the night, especially the cheese with burnt butter and nuts. The wine recommendations were on the spot.

Fantastic wine bar with a local vibe. Extensive selection of wines by the glass with helpful recommendations from the staff. Food is really well-done as well. We had the sourdough bread and the 18 month Tindur cheese, and they were both great.

Sourdough and halloumi were great.
Hummus and broccoli were solid but I might try something different next time.
The smoked mackerel was tasty, but my gf did not like it.
We got there late and the dinner menu was not available, would like to try the flounder next time. The bar menu was sufficient though to fill us up for dinner.
