So this was kind of a last minute add on our recent trip down to Montgomery.
Looking for a place begore a show, we came across Vintage Year. We called ahead and were unable to get reservations (pretty last minute), but they indicated that outdoor and bar seating were first come first serve, so we gave it a shot.
When we arrived they weren't very busy at all and there was one table in the bar, so we grabbed it. Service was really good and we really liked our bartender who doubled as our server. Very knowledgeable about the menu, not just the drinks. He helped us decide what we wanted to go with based on how he answered our questions.
For starters we had a Cool Cat Lemonade - Cathead honeysuckle, peach nectar, house made lemonade - it was sweet, but a 5 out of 5
Berkshire Double Bone Pork Chop. No other way to put it ..... RIDICULOUS!!!! This is one of the most legit pork chops we've ever had. I can think of one other place that makes pork chops on this level, not sure whos I liked best, but this is a solid 5 out of 5. Even if you don't traditionally like pork chops, this will change your mind.
8 ounce Black Angus Filet with hasselbeck potato, broccolini, bordelaise, bleu cheese compound butter. This was so good! The compound butter melted on the filet was amazing! This was a solid 5 out of 5 as well.
Chocolate Budino dessert. We got tempted into this, even though we were full, because of how good everything had been so far. To be honest, our opinion, this was actually pretty bland. It did pair nicely with the scoop of ice cream, but at the end of the day, I probably wouldn't get this again. I'd give it a 3 out of 5 (I'm being tough, because this is 5 star dining).
All in all a great dining experience that is highly recommended.
