So, a little while after I wrote this review, I got an email from Vintry about some event or another. I unsubscribed from the list, complete with a snarky comment about not wanting to give my money to a shop with such a rude staff when asked why. Lo and behold, a few days later, I heard from the manager. He apologized profusely, asked me to describe the incident and the employee in greater detail, and assured me he would correct the issue. He even offered me a free bottle of wine to make up for the experience, which was really unexpected and really nice of him. I've been back a couple of times since then and although the staff hasn't done a total 180, they've been much nicer - you know, behaving as you would expect someone in a wine shop to behave. If you've had a bad experience with Vintry in the past and find yourself in the area, consider giving it another shot.
