Situated in a lively downtown Mishawaka location, the restaurant is known for generously portioned smoked platters, house-made sauces, and a menu that balances classic BBQ with creative touches—like smoked chicken wings tossed in signature bourbon glaze. My experience started off with an older gentleman patron who was semi-confined to his wheelchair. He would not stop staring at me as my wife and I walked in! Hahaha! It came across as “unsettling” but I tried to dress it up as “eccentric with a flair for the whimsical.” This was a Sunday lunch and wasn’t nearly filled to capacity as one would imagine it normally is during its usual lunchtime M-F crowd. We were initially greeted with a “Seat Yourself” sign which honestly afforded me a pleasant distraction from the stare of the man who found me particularly interesting for whatever reasons. A mystery that perplexes me even now to this very day. But, I digress… Service was understandably slow. I only witnessed one server. Two would’ve been too many. God knows how many were operating on the other side of the veil… She was very nice, though. Food was deliciously scrumptious and well worth the price and wait! I don’t know if I’ll ever be back, but the meal experience was a pleasant one and well deserving of your notice, full attention and appreciation.

Vinyl Tap & Table…. What can I say? It’s where I go when I need an escape. Sometimes you just need a beer and a burger. The staff are always happy to see you, the food is always fresh and delicious. They have amazing weekday specials, they’ll cater your work luncheon… Burgers, wings, apps, and salads. All phenomenal. Throw a dart at the menu, you’ll love whatever you get. And I always look forward to the menu changes, because I know there will be more phenomenal options to try. Whether you’re meeting friends or going solo, it’s such a great place to eat and hang out. Do yourself a favor and check it out. Right in the heart of downtown Mishawaka.

This is an amazing location, when you can get service. When I came in, saw the seat yourself sign. Locked my car doors via app which is how I know how long I've been sitting here without being greeted, acknowledged, or anything of the sort. I was here so I decided to see how long it would be. Total time was 36 minutes before the owner, as shown in their response, called in to correct the issue. I was apologized to and told by the server she was new and of course, the owners reply about the blind spot is understandable. I won't hold a singular lapse too heavily against anyone. Now, on to the review! Because we aren't just here to criticize! The Wing Mac with White Cheddar Beer Cheese and BBQ is exquisite as always. I have occasionally been in when the wings were a little overdone but this time it was perfect. I tried the loaded fries, though I find myself neutral on them. This was my first time ordering them, and I am particular about fries so all in all if someone enjoyed them they would be spectacular, just not my preferred kind. The Jarritorita, a curious combination of margarita and soda, is... Interesting. I enjoy a heavier salt/tajin on the rim so the taste was underwhelming, but I attribute this to personal preference and not the drink having any failures. It was enjoyable for what it tries to do. Photos included, with the exception of the Wing Mac which mysteriously was inhaled as soon as it reached the table.

Nice local place, big and creative burgers. Friends are very good. Not very fancy inside but okay.b staff were friendly but only one person dealing with the bar and table service.

Google
There sandwiches are amazing! The whiskey glaze sauce is so good. I can't wait to try some of the appetizers because they look delicious too. The fries are seasoned perfect. Fresh fries, freshly cut! Can't beat it!! And price is not bad at all!

Best food I've ever had, except for authentic giant waterbug from Thailand. They don't have Thai food here but it's amazing. Ate every bite. And the lettuce was fresh so lettuce rejoice!

Google
Fantastic food!!! Accommodated a large group of us since we reserved ahead of time for their small space. One server was great; the other server not so much, but she could’ve been having a bad day. You should definitely try!

This was my first time eating here. We arrived around 1:30 on Sunday, and right away it was clear something was very wrong. Management left the entire front of house to one person and the entire kitchen to one cook. By the time the place filled up, it was chaos and the blame falls squarely on management. Management here should honestly be embarrassed. Leaving two people to run an entire restaurant during a busy Sunday is beyond careless it’s lazy, cheap, and completely unfair to their staff and customers. The only reason things didn’t completely collapse is because Leah and the cook gave everything they had. Leah was running herself into the ground, somehow managing to bartend, take orders, clean tables , and run food all at once, while still treating guests with professionalism and kindness. The cook kept food coming out of the kitchen under impossible conditions. These two are the kind of employees every business dreams of having, but frankly, they deserve far better management than this place provides. The hard truth is simple: no restaurant can succeed with leadership this incompetent. Any management that thinks two people can run a full house is unfit to be in charge of a lemonade stand, let alone a restaurant. It’s disgraceful, it’s disrespectful, and it’s driving the place into the ground. The staff are the only thing keeping this restaurant alive, and unless management wakes up or gets replaced it won’t be long before even the best employees can’t save it.

Yelp
Great music theme and vibes, better burgers, friendly service. This place is one of my go tos when I'm in the area!

Yelp
Did this place change ownership? When they first opened their burgers were decent and I loved their thick fries. It had been a while since we've been but man whatever pre frozen junk we got served yesterday belongs in the trash. My kids' burger looked grey and I can't be certain it was even beef. The wings and cheese curds were salted to death and the thin fries were limp and disgusting. The service was fine, but wow have they gone down the drain food wise. Lastly, they did not have high chairs when they first opened, but thought for sure they'd have gotten some by now. Strange to have a kids menu and no high chairs. There are much better establishments in Mishawaka, especially within half a mile. I'd be surprised if this place makes it.

Yelp
Stopped into Vinyl tap on Friday 2/28/25. My husband and I were craving a nice thick burger. We had been here before but it had been quite a while ago. We sat down, server came over rather quickly. She took our drink order, a beer and a lemonade. Now, they weren't very busy. The two other tables had already gotten their food. It took 5+mins for her to bring ours drinks. She took our food order then. We ordered the gutter nachos as a starter. It took 15+mins to get that! The nachos were good but for the price it could have been a bigger portion. We ordered burgers with fries. My husband got the Tennessee Whiskey burger. He said it was good but very messy to eat. He commented that there were too many onions and it was very greasy. I got the Born in the USA burger. It was messy, the cheddar cheese made it greasy (American cheese would be better) and had no flavor. The burger meat was good. The burger (had bacon, maybe could have used salt free seasoning on the burger) and the fries were over salted! I couldn't eat the fries because of all of the salt! The meal was 3-4 stars in my opinion. For the price of the meal ($65 including 2 beers and a soft drink) we probably won't return.

Yelp
Came here to celebrate a birthday and have dinner! The ambience is very simple and I love the hand painted mural of famous singers on the wall! The young lady we had for service was very nice as well. The burger and chicken sandwich were really good! The cauliflower appetizer and boneless wings were on the saltier side taste wise so the garlic parm and mild sauce we had on the wings was hard to taste flavor through the saltiness of the sauces. I'm still thirsty as I write this review after getting home from dinner.

Yelp
We needed a place to eat before the big Notre Dame game today so the boys and I went here to this restaurant in Mishawaka. Easy parking! We walked in and sat ourselves and were greeted fairly quickly. We each ordered burgers with their hand cut fries and they were delicious! One of my sons got a basic burger with cheddar cheese and he enjoyed his. My other son got Tennessee Whiskey burger and he absolutely loved it! Messy, but delicious! I got the The Shotgun Truffle and it was awesome! I love eggs on a good burger. The atmosphere here in the restaurant is pretty cool with an older record store theme with old game shows playing on the TV. It was fun watching Price is Right when Bob didn't have gray hair! We will definitely be back the next time we are in the area.

Yelp
Food - 5/5 Ambience - 4/5 Service - 5/5 Value - 4/5 The is was a surprise little spot we found and it didn't disappoint. The Brussels sprouts were fantastic. The staff was friendly and helpful.

Yelp
This was my first trip here and I'm sure I'll be back. It's a pretty small menu, albeit solid. I got the cheese curds as an appetizer and they were fine, nothing special. My boyfriend and I got burgers and they were so good. I love a big greasy burger and these were perfect. I got the Born in the USA which is cheese, bacon, their house ranch, and garlic mushrooms and I could taste the garlic for the next hour it was so saturated. I got a soup as my side but my boyfriend got the fries and honestly had I known the fries were so good, I would have gotten those as my appetizer instead of the cheesecurds. They were big fries, but thin sliced (sidewinder style) and so crispy. The service was just fine, nothing memorable either way. The one thing that I find unforgiveable is the ambiance. When I say it's so ugly in there, I really mean that. The lighting is awful, the room itself looks unfinished. It's giving dive bar when the lights come up. If they did something about that and made it more comfortable and really leaned into the record shop vibe, it could be so much better.

Yelp
Three months later... and dang! What have we been missing. The food was off the hook good. Wife got the I got high burger with loaded fries. I got the Tennessee Whiskey with fried chicken sandwich. Oh damn!! So good. And the drink was the screwball with nitro coffee. Very tasty. Could have been stronger but good!! I eat my words (literally) on my last review... this time they were on point!! Food was good and cooked perfectly. And surprisingly on a Saturday night it was not busy. Looking for a new spot? This is it.

Yelp
Food is amazing delicious. Wait staff is friendly. Cozy atmosphere. Looking for something fun and different, I highly recommend them.

Yelp
I'll review this place again so that you know it's true. I love me some vinyl tap and table. I eat at this establishment regularly and by regularly, I mean once a week. It is a rare rare occasion when this place lets me down. And even when they do let me down, it's only a tiny bit and not like most other places that when they let me down , it's a real deal let down. Mel mel is usually the person. I go to handle all my needs, but the rest of the servers are certainly adequate. The whiskey burger is my favorite but I add jalapeño and get a side of ranch. My husband almost always orders the build your own. The diner harkens to 1950's decor mixed with music paraphernalia of many generas. There is a full bar, and to that...don't order wine until the wine list improves (its terrible!) Other than that, it's great here! Come in!

Mindy Sue B.

Yelp
We came in before the rush and they let us have the biggest booth! 3 adults 2 boys. Everything about them was gracious and kind. The burgers blew our minds! And the service was seriously top notch! My sister in law is visiting from AZ and you have the Midwestern experience just by being you! 12 out of 10 for me! Thank you!
google avatar

Yelp
The prices are pretty good. The food and the Service are outstanding. It is unusual they call them vinyl and tap with not a lot of beers on tap

Kim F.

Yelp
Quick service, very nice staff. Interesting menu and the sandwiches are amazing. They look better than the pictures!

Yelp
We visited Vinyl Friday evening, and overall it was good experience. The atmosphere was really nice, with a mural featuring past and present musicians from a variety of genres, George Jones and Dolly, Bootsie Collins, Janis Joplin, Bucket Head and MF Doom. Theres a few booths along on wall and open dining area and a small raised bars area enclosed with a half wall. They offer brussel sprouts crisped w a korean stale glaze...soy and chilli w ketchup i suppose. The plate arrived about the same time as our drinks...and were well prepared, hot and fresh. I would order them again. My dining companion ordered a mango and rum cocktail that was criminally sweet...then changed to another cocktail..again extremely sugary. I had ordered a winter lager..it was good and came in a giant glass tumbler. I selected a Lamburghini (lamb burger) topped with a korean inspired slaw and a side of potato salad. The potato salad was an 8/10...potatoes cooked perfectly, not over mayoed, seasoned well with a few crunchy vegetables...it was fresh and tasted great. It would give my grandmas potato salad a run for its money. My lamb burger itself was great...the toppings were again..fresh crispy and tasted great. There was some classic ( with lamb) rosemary and garlic notes, along with the cabbagy/ coleslaesque topping...it was very good and I would have it again for sure. My wife ordered a whiskey and garlic glazed chicken "burger" ( seriously gastropubs and restaurants of the world..you can just call it a chicken sandwich, no one will die) It was so redolent and overpowered with raw garlic. I eat roasted whole garlic on crackers...i jave jad the classic russian salad with garlic as a main ingredient. This chicken " burger" was offensive with the level of garlic in the glaze. She didnt eat it and refused a box to take it home. Hopefully the server took note and they rework the presentation. I tried a bite and was sorry i did. The fries served with it were unique and very good...sort of an add spiral cut...almost like soft mashed potatoes inside and crispy and spicy on the outside. I rarely order fries but would have these on my next visit. Service was cheerful and friendly...and patient. There was no push to get an order after tolf he it was our first visit....drinks, clearing and table maintenance were efficient and timely- and she had a personality and wasnt afraid to chat for a few moments...it was refreshing to have an engsging server who doesnt just want to turn a table as fast as humanely possible. Vinyl was a good value ...2 sandwiches, an appetizer, 2 cocktails and one giant beer cost +/- 70...and the food ( buns , protein, vegetables) were all very fresh and good quality. Would return again.

Yelp
The service and food are very good. Tonight, after a suggestion from a friend, we decided to try this place. We were delighted with the quality of service we received from Corrina, and the food was spot on! We will be back on a Tuesday!
google avatar

Tyson T.

Yelp
Small place. Very clean. For somewhere with the name tap in it, I would have expected a better beer selection. However, with it being smaller I am sure they are doing everything they can. Sound like a five star rating? Probably not, but here's why? First, the service was great. But the real reason it is five stars is the food was absolutely spectacular. Both my son and I thought that these might be the best burgers we have ever had. They were large, cooked perfectly, and the fact you can choose to build your own is awesome. If we ever were back in the area, we would visit again for sure. Great work Vinyl!!!

Yelp
Atmosphere was amazing love the old-school vibe hand paintings were amazing to observe up close drinks are definitely to die for I have live music on the weekends clean atmosphere bathrooms restrooms were very nice. Service was fast cheese curds were crunchy.

Yelp
I've eaten here a handful of times now and the food is always delicious. The menu isn't huge, but the burgers and apps are really all you need. I've gone for half price app night with a group and all the apps were great. I'm a little sad the Korean thigh wings have been taken off the menu, but the rest of the apps are still more than enough to please a crowd. You can't go wrong with the loaded sidewinder fries. Some people aren't a fan of the decor and think it's cheesy, but I enjoy it and I love the booths! I hope this small business stays around for years to come.

Yelp
We stopped here on the way through coming home to Indiana from a weekend in Michigan and expected nothing but good based on recommendations on Yelp. We like to stop at local places or restaurants we don't have at home when we are away from home. Given the time of day we stopped, mid afternoon, we got seated right away. We had 8 people in our group and a mix of items we ordered. My husband and I weren't incredible hungry so opted to share nachos, something we get together at places sometimes to share so had an idea what is normal for the $. Several others (our son and friends) at our table got boneless wings, one ordered the Mac and cheese with wings and the other ordered a burger and fries. Service was just ok. She did come around and brought drink refills once but never asked about how our food was. The Doritos nachos were an appetizer but everything under that category said it would feed 2-3 people. To say the size was small would be putting it nicely. I would venture to guess they used a snack bag of chips, might have been the 2 oz size bag -maybe. The pulled pork on it didn't taste fresh & the cheese sauce was really thick and not very warm. Our young adult son got Parmesan garlic sauce on his boneless wings, took a bite and didn't want to eat them. He's had that variety of sauce other places and knew what to expect as far as the sauce. The chicken itself seemed good but you couldn't taste anything but the sauce. We traded him and my husband ate a few but wasn't impressed. The sauce was globbed on the top and incredibly intense in the garlic and parmesan flavors and not shaken like most places do. There was too much on to even try to get enough of it off to make a difference even thought tit was just put on the top side of them. It was way too strong for me and I like garlic and Parmesan. I felt like it was really supposed to be very lightly coated. Our son ate most of the nachos since they were at least palatable and I finished the few chips that were left when he was done. The Mac and cheese bowl looked good but that's where it stopped. He got the same garlic parm sauce on the wings in his bowl and also wasn't impressed. He didn't say much about the Mac and cheese portion, but said he was hoping it would be the best meal of the trip and it clearly wasn't what he was expecting. Two others got wings, pre-teens, one with lemon pepper who said it tasted ok and the other got a kids meal with bbq and she seemed happy. Our friend with the burger didn't say much about his meal or his drink from the bar and usually if he likes something he talks about it. I don't like to give reviews like this. Maybe we hit an off time and the normal cook wasn't there? We were all expecting at least a standard of what we are used to or better given the reviews we read but we would have all been much happier at our local chilis or Applebees. Regardless of the reason for the miss on this stop, I don't see us stopping in to give it another try.

Philip D.

Yelp
What can I say? Good burgers, good people and good vibes. I love the bourbon sauce on the burger, outstanding!
google avatar

Joe S.

Yelp
Burgers are outstanding but the fries are what really set the plate off. Their special seasoning is a real treat. Cool rock momentos in walls. One star off because it could be a smidge neater for the money, but OTOH it is a burger joint.
google avatar

Chris J.

Yelp
pretty good..the only thing is that the area we were in was hot. The burger was tasty, the cheese on fire appetizer was good as well. will definitely come back to explore the menu further. The only thing i WOULD NOT recommend is a salad..it was $13 for a bunch of bagged lettuce with a few walnuts, blue cheese crumbles and cranberries on it..and then given dressing in packets (and not even the advertised dressing) - so definitely the only thing you want to get here is a burger..avoid the salads!
google avatar

Renee S.

Yelp
Wow! The fries and burgers are soooo good! I'll be back. Wait staff, only one, but she was on top of it all. Highly recommend and they even have gluten free buns!

Anna J.

Yelp
Amazing food- everything ordered was well above expectations. Would recommend to anyone who doesn't like bland food. Server was nice too.

Yelp
The food was so amazing and the service was amazing and the staff was so friendly and helpful and welcoming I will continue to come here

Yelp
Great service and awesome Food!!!! Burgers are the BEST!! I hope more people try the restaurant!!!!

Lisa C.

Yelp
We had a group of 8. Great service, very attentive and informative. It was our first time here, all the apps were great! Highly recommend the Korean Brussel sprouts and flaming cheese. Everyone had something different to eat and it was all excellent. Small, fun place.
google avatar

Atlantis A.

Yelp
Food - ok Decor- ok prices- ok service- ok We went for half price apps night. There were 5 of us. The server seemed confused and not super attentive but adequate. The food was tasty but not exceptional. It felt like a restaurant/bar in a location it didn't belong. Odd layout. At least their salad dressing isn't packets anymore. If a friend wanted to meet there I would go, otherwise not a place on my list of favorites.

Cheri H.

Yelp
All of the food was amazing Beautifully designed inside the restaurant the staff were great. Bathroom was clean

Barbara S.

Yelp
Good service. Great innovative burger! We had the appetizer of flaming cheese! It was good.
google avatar

Roger S.

Yelp
Alycia took care of us. She was super attentive and made she we understood all the menu options. OK so we started with the flaming cheese. It's entirely different than a traditional Sagan Yaqui. They use provolone cheese they put bruschetta on it and use Canadian whiskey. It changes the entire flavor profile. It's fantastic I highly recommend it it's the most different style I've ever had super flavorful we had ours with celery it was stupendous. For dinner I got their wings with the provolone Romano seasoning, dust these wings, put wings, etc. to shame if anyone's looking for good wings you need to come here holy crap l!!! Kim had the build your own chicken sandwich with a lettuce wrap. She loved it. I highly recommend coming here!

Tom K.

Yelp
If your looking for a place with great ambiance, decor and a great beer list then let's look elsewhere. The restaurant is basically a store front with little work going into its appearance. Nothing on the walls to keep the noise level down so sound reverberates off the walls floor and ceiling. That being said, it gets four stars because of its great burgers and chicken sandwiches. See pictures of the Tennessee burger and chicken sandwiches. My wife loved the curly fries. So in all the food was great. If your hungry and want a fast meal in Mishawaka then give the place a try. Other tables had the wraps or salads and there portions looked generous. Can't comment on the bar but the beer and wine list was small.
google avatar

Danny S.

Yelp
The burger was one of the best I've ever had! Fries are no joke either. They sell some obscure vinyl up in there and play great music. I'll be back and will recommend to friends for sure!
google avatar

Terry E.

Yelp
Very basic American food. Several opportunities with this restaurant food, drinks, decorations, and service.
google avatar

Ewald H.

Yelp
The kimchi and peanut sauce burger was spectacular!! Highly recommend. Big smile! Service was very good.
google avatar

Lisa Y.

Yelp
Excellent food and service plus great music. Cute small place in downtown. Have gone back twice already!

Ashley H.

Yelp
The food was awesome, waitstaff was fun and the drinks were delicious! I'd say the music was a bit loud, but otherwise great

Wanda M.

Yelp
OMG! The food was great! Best Burger EVER!!! Service was exceptional! Ambiance was pleasing. I liked the art and the music was great! Truly a winner! The fried onion rings on the burger were really good and should be offered as a side item. Potatoes were good but onions are better, in my humble opinion.
google avatar

Amanda L.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I tried their food twice now. Each time has been exceptional, and they have been incredibly mindful of my SO's celiacs. I recommend either the Tennessee Whiskey or Black Velvet. They are. Service has always been top notch as well.

Amy M.

Yelp
I had the Tennessee Whiskey burger with their amazing fries. My husband had the Chicken Seoul Bowl. Everything was so fresh and delicious! They also have a really nice beer selection. This was the best burger I've had in recent memory. The whiskey sauce and roasted garlic complimented the perfectly cooked beef. This was our first visit here and we loved it.

Hayden S.

Yelp
Came for an early dinner but the restaurant was busy. Parked across the street in the bank parking that is available to the public after hours. We were sat and waited on immediately and service was friendly and prompt throughout the visit. The restaurant is unique and had a neat feel to it. We ordered the brussel sprout appetizer and while it had decent flavor the portion really lacked for the price. Gluten free bun was very good. Held up well but was also not super dense like a lot of them can be. "Im Bleu" burger was very average. Underseasoned and became very monotonous to eat. It said it came with bruschetta on it but it was pathetic what it ended up being. Fries were good. The grilled chicken option for the other burger was delicious. The red chimmichurri was extremely flavorful and paired so well with the chicken. Chips and salsa side were a little sad... chips were fine but salsa tasted like Pace from the jar.

Justin R.

Yelp
The best place in Mishawaka. Staff is very friendly. Excellent service. My burger go to is the "Born in the USA. It's gas. It has cheddar, bacon, ranch, and garlic mushrooms. Burger was well seasoned too.
google avatar

Angie L.

Yelp
When I say this is a hidden gem I mean that pretty literally. But it is easy to get to with your gps and you must go! It is small but quaint with cool murals and atmosphere. The furnishing is modern and comfortable and our waitress was wonderful. But you want to hear about the food. I had the whiskey burger with grilled onions, roasted garlic, cheese and a whiskey bbq sauce. They ask you how you like your burger done so you know they know what they are doing. I got mine medium and It was FANTASTIC! Juicy, big, smothered in toppings. Sheer perfection! I got it with the potato salad that was a dill potato salad that was fresh and delicious! My daughters got a burger and chicken sandwich with fries and tots. We shared all around and left planning our next trip back! It isn't cheap. But you get what you pay for.

Michael M.

Yelp
I don't really remember what I ate here, it was that memorable. But it seems popular as it filled up as the evening progressed.

Max P.

Yelp
I love that you can choose chicken instead of hamburger for your sandwich. I think this is a brilliant idea. Food is always amazing. Service can be slow when they're busy. That is expected at times I guess.

Carole M.

Yelp
Food was awesome especially the Fire Cheese. Inside was clean and neatly decorated. My server, Fatima, was excellent. She answered all my many questions since it was my first time there. This place is a hidden gem on South Main Street in downtown Mishawaka. Very highly recommend.

Sue M.

Yelp
Loved the 'Create your own burger' option. The hamburger and Vinyl Tap small salad was exceptional! Our only complaint was my daughter and I both had to keep our coats on to eat. They definitely could have turned up the heat.

Jason C.

Yelp
Food was good, service was excellent. The alcohol selection left much to be desired unless you are a beer drinker.
