One review? Seriously, Nashville. One review?
You gotta do better.
Vinyl Tap is just the cool beer bar that's perfectly located in Eastwood. When I say it's 'cool', I mean it in the way that it's chill and you can come hang out, have a couple of pints and enjoy yourself. It's not 'cool' in an unsustainable, scene-y way. You'll come back here. This will be a regular bar for locals. You'll bring your out of town friends here. You will.
It was a natural evolution and marriage of what certain spots on/in the East Side are all about: craft beer, vinyl records, authentic Nashville. This isn't a fly-by-night I-barely-know-street-names Nashville experience. Helmed by a native (#unicorn) Nashvillian, Vinyl Tap offers a well-curated beer list (plus, wine and spirits) to pair with a well-curated vinyl selection. In addition for searching for those hard-to-find finds, expect to hear what happens when needles meet wax. As should be expected, the soundtrack to Vinyl Tap is awesome and will compel you to spend some time on the bar stools, contemplating life, listening to great music, sipping on a nice beer, and, even, munching on some snacks.
Vinyl Tap is what would happen if your best buddy had a really comfortable (and, big) basement (or, man cave), a stash of craft beer, incredible music from all sorts of artists, and could put together a mean sandwich. I don't mean that as an insult. This is one of the more chill lounges you'll encounter in Nashville. Actually, it's more of a bar but it has lounge elements -- the good ones. So, recap: chill environment, A-W craft beer options, melodious tunes spun the way they were meant to be spun, and good munchies. Oh, did I mention the in-house DJ (spinning vinyl records, natch) and the fact there was a Childish Gambino listening party here? 'Cause that all happened. Oh, and a happy hour from 4-6 with $1 off drinks? Am I still really having to sell this place? Get with it, Nashville!
