I submitted an order to Violet Cake a week before my event for a birthday cake for twenty people, one flavor and one color. Pretty simple. I emailed them on Friday; they got to me the following Monday. When I received the first reply, the woman said they could fulfill the order for ten cupcakes for the day I requested, Saturday. I immediately replied that I wanted a cake, not cupcakes, and had her confirm they could do it for the requested day. She said yes that they could. We exchanged emails for most of the week, but their response was always at the end of the day the next day, which wastes time. During the emails, I was asked about the details of my cake ( flavor, color, frosting, etc.). She assured me they could make the cake. On Thursday, I received an email saying that the decorator could not accommodate my cake order for Saturday. My event was that coming Saturday!! Now, I had just a day to find someone else. This business is unreliable, has poor communication, and is unprofessional and disorganized.
