Violet Hour Pilates Studio

Overall rating: 4.9 I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this spot. I’ve only done 3x so far (introductory), but I’m very eager and excited to try more classes. I was following an instructor from another studio and highly, recommend Rebecca. I love how easy it is to book a class and the variety they offer! Sometimes I don’t feel confident in my moves but I like how the instructor helps fix posture or moves. They start class about 2-3 minutes later so definitely have to be on time. But so worth it. Everyone is so nice and highly recommend! Def Brooklyn energy which I love too.

Anika is amazing! I lucked into a private with her and it totally changed my posture and how I experience all my classes. The studio is spacious and friendly and the music is great. Can’t recommend enough!

Violet Hour is such a great addition to the neighborhood for Pilates lovers! It’s a beautiful, warm place with amazing teachers. Kate is the best!

I love going to Violet Hour classes so much. I had never done Pilates on a reformer before going to Violet Hour my first time a year ago and I was hooked. The instructors are super patient and helpful when you’re new, and then really adapt their instruction based on the small group’s skill level. I feel like I’ve been able to progress a lot in the past year because of the high quality instructors and small, beautiful space. All the instructors I’ve had have been great but I always look for Tye, Lindsey and Molly’s classes because I like their classical approach.

My partner and I used to go to Violet Hour when we lived in the neighborhood. I really appreciated how Tye would take into account my height and hyper extension, it made all the difference. They really cater to your needs here, I recommend this studio and miss it so much!

Really happy I found Violet Hour Pilates! I had never taken a reformer class before. 7 months postpartum I had barely worked out and have even been recovering from a foot injury that happened while pregnant. Dealing with terrible lower back, neck and shoulder pain from a big baby, I’m amazed at how much better my body as a whole feels 3 weeks in. It’s a lovely, judgement free environment. Come as you are at whatever level. Cheaper than pelvic floor therapy! My only regret is that I didn’t start coming sooner. I especially love Kate and Lindsey’s class but look forward to trying the other instructors as well.

the prenatal reformer classes are superb. i love that they’re still challenging and make me feel strong while safe. kate gave attention to each person in class with hands on adjustments as needed which i really appreciate- especially in a prenatal class, i want to know what i’m doing is good form. prenatal reformer classes are hard to find in brooklyn and while i tried a few studios, violet hour was definitely my favorite.

A beautiful studio with helpful instructors. In larger studios, I feel that I get lost in the crowd - because it's a smaller class size (6 reformers total) the instructor is able to cater the moves to the class and give useful tips/modifications. A big bonus that the space is so lovely. I look forward to expanded the class times as they continue to grow!

Excellent, caring people, the owner and all of the teachers. Very inclusive practice for all level of fitness.
