Very enjoyable food experience! - My wife and I had the Mediterranean Tasting Menu. The team accommodated my wife as pescatarian without any problem. The food was great. Some of the dishes/drinks were quite memorable. We loved the Cherry Kombucha drink that was served to start us off. The Carrot Soup with Lotus Root - one of the 5 small cold/hot starters - was a stand-out among stars. The Red Pepper with Salmorejo Dressing, Egg Yolk and Trout Caviar was one of our favorites. My wife really loved the Carrot Risotto. The only - very tiny - criticism I shared with the team was the platting of my meat dish - Iberian Pork Cheeks. They were cooked deliciously, but it was very hard in the deep dish to assemble the perfect bite, with the potato foam and chimichurri sauce helping to balance the saltiness of the meet. To finish the excellent meal, the Creamy Tiramisu of Jerusalem Artichoke with Black Garlic Cocoa and Malt Sponge Cake was a fitting closure of a wonderful experience where Vegetables were the stars of the Menu. I had the wine pairing with some quite interesting organic wines complementing the dishes well. Service was attentive, super nice and personable. All in all, this was a 5-Star experience, and we are sure that a Michelin Star is in the grasp of the team.

We went there for a team dinner and had a beautiful time! The food was absolutely excellent and such new and interesting flavour combinations. The presentation and service were fantastic too. I also thought the value for money was very good. Some reviews have mentioned that it is in a hotel “lobby” in a negative way but we loved it. It is comfortable and beautifully designed and not loud, so we were able to have great conversations. Very much recommend and will be back.

We thoroughly enjoyed the 8 course cegan tasting menu with wine pairing. from start to end dishes were delicious, balanced and well crafted with different textures and delightful flavours. Excellent presentation and the service was also very friendly and attentive. Romantic restaurant atmosphere great for date night. Highly recommend it and we will be back for sure :)! PS: absolutely reasonable pricing for for the 8course menu and wine pairing. PPS: The only remark I can make is that the vegan menu option was indeed missing plant based protein for it to be fully balanced and nutritious. (But that is also pretty much the case in EVERY vegan restaurant….)

We had an absolutely outstanding experience at Virens! From the moment we arrived, everything was perfect, the atmosphere, the food, and most of all, the service. The dishes were beautifully presented, full of flavor, and truly showcased the creativity of the kitchen. What really made the experience even more special, however, was our waitress, Pinar. She was warm, attentive, and knowledgeable, striking the perfect balance between professionalism and friendliness. Pinar’s genuine hospitality turned a wonderful time into an unforgettable experience. Highly recommend Virens for lunch and dinner!

It is one of the few best places in Barcelona if you want to try the most unique food combination. And the stuff is really kind. They will explain all the details about the food they serve you. Special greetings to Gemma, who welcomed us so carefully.

Breakfast includes hot items like omelettes, eggs, avocado toasts. It offers a very big varieties of pastries and dessert cake. Homemade yogurt and chia seeds puddings, cheese and juices. They do have a big selection however I found the quality is okay. Service however is not up to the 5-star standard. They miss our orders a number of times. Avocado toast with side bacon missing the bacon, with poached egg missing the poached egg … during the three breakfast there are always something not gpdoing it right. They even serve rotten strawberries …

The place and service were absolutely amazing. The dishes were not as good as somone could expect. While some dishes were tasty, the rest was dull. Lacking flavor and lacking originality, quite disappointing.

What a beautiful restaurant. Selected this restaurant for my boyfriend's birthday celebration. I'm so happy and satisfied. We ordered 2 different menus . The both of them were so well presented and so tasty. I love every bite. They even guessed that we were celebrating and birthday. The pastry with a candle was a little detail but well appreciated. We had an amazing. We will definitely come back. One last thing they don't pick up some calls. So if you're planning to go there don't bother calling. They will go straight to voicemail. But apart from that everything was so good. I highly recommend.

Stunning food and i love the plant-forward ethos behind this restaurant, what a unique dining experience! We started w the pickled radish which had a really unique seaweed like taste to it. Very refreshing and vinegary. The vegetable appetizers were all super unique and i would love to go back and try any of them -- we got the red bell pepper tartare which, on appearance, so closely resembled one made of ahi or steak that i was taken aback. The taste was perfectly nutty and subtly sweet. The artichokes with truffle sauce and black sesame bread were also a delight. U cld rlly taste the depth of thought that went into creating these flavor combinations. I had the mushroom risotto entree which was very salty, but still very enjoyable to me (i cld see how it might have been overbearing to someone w another palette tho). The mushrooms were rlly masterfully prepared, umami, chewy, meaty, delicious. Ended on a perfect note with the most delicious dessert i had in spain-- creme catalan made w pumpkin and chewy sweet dates w black tahini sauce and ice cream. This meal was an absolute dream!

Food was great! Service was good, we had one person with an allergy and the whole table got that special bread. Ambiance is pretty, casual dress was ok. If this is how veggies are done, I don't mind being a vegetarian !

After a few days of eating tapas, including A LOT of patatas bravas, we were craving light food that was vegetable-forward. My husband made reservations to Virens. It's located in a hotel, but fear not, the food is spectacular. We did the tasting menu that was very vegi forward, but did offer proteins. Each plate was beautiful and vibrant. The flavor matched the plating. You aren't going to leave stuffed, but you will leave satisfied, and your palette will be dancing. The service was outstanding. AND the hotel has a rooftop bar; our server was kind enough to call and reserve us a table upstairs, where we got to finish our night with stunning views of the city. This was honestly my favorite night in Barcelona.

Took 48 minutes to get served a Cheese plate which was most likely sitting in the kitchen the whole time; I was held against my will by my family to eat here; at least they comped my cheese plate, but still wasted my time

The restaurant should be busier than it is now. The staff was very professional and the food was delicious. I usually don't like to sit through multi course meal but each dish was prepared in such a unique way, it was a pleasure waiting for the next dish. I will surely return next time I am in Barcelona.
