This is a quiet lounge, really great for someone who is PP card holder with the granted access for this lounge and just need to have a place to rest, or do some computer work. When I am in, it’s only 20% full in capacity during the time 11:30-12:30. It is clear and bright with huge window. However, the complimentary food options are really limited. They do have multiple choices for food to purchase. I can’t not comment on the food menu in prices, but personally I wouldn’t want to purchase food in this club, simply because the complementary food wasn’t good… I appreciate that their food is freshly made and can be sent to the table, but their food is flavorless. The pasta was too soft and the tomato soup was like the canned soup. If they can’t make good food for the complementary ones as the samples, then I don’t think I want to pay for the food I definitely won’t eat. And here is a sincerely recommendation, they can probably shrink the portion of the complimentary food. So it may increase some more budget for food quality. I really feel sorry for wasting.

Amazing experience at the Virgin Atlantic Clubhouse in IAD. The premade sandwiches were fresh and always well stocked. The salad bar was crisp and nicely presented. Drinks were excellent, with a great top-shelf selection. Thank you, Virgin Atlantic Clubhouse, for the outstanding service.

Google
Quiet and comfortable with enough amenities to enjoy a few hours comfortably prior to boarding. There are free sandwiches, salads, and pasta options. Drinks too. It’s clean and the staff are friendly and helpful.

We recently were there on our way to Heathrow and it was absolutely amazing. The food was delicious; the place was relaxing, spotless and pretty; and, most importantly, the service was outstanding. Tony took care of us, and when I say care, I mean, he knocked it out of the park. He hit every attention to detail: from making drinks exactly the way we preferred to creating a pampered atmosphere. He truly made us feel like valued guests. He has pride in working there and it showed. All of this, quite frankly, made the experience the most impressive airport lounge we had ever been to. And honestly, it really is more than an airport lounge. It’s the perfect way to start a trip.

Deirdre L

Google
Visited the lounge for a while before a London flight with two small children. Tony looked after us with outstanding professionalism. He went above and beyond to make sure we were happy, made recommendations, and filled up our water bottles. When we got on the plane, a small toy that we left in the lounge was returned to us. I am sure we have Tony to thank. Five star service! I also really enjoyed the food, especially the arepa.

Google
Yes the food is limited compared to other lounges but this is far better than no lounge at all. It’s offers all amenities you’re used to, albeit on a reduced selection. The lounge is quiet, clean and much better than sitting in general population. The staff is most excellent and very accommodating.

Google
Easily the Worst Lounge I’ve Visited I’ve been to many airport lounges, and this one was by far the most disappointing—especially considering the size of the airport. The complimentary drink selection was abysmal: only Pabst Blue Ribbon for beer, and two unimpressive wines (a red and a chardonnay). That’s it. Food? The gratis food options were equally dismal. While there is a menu you can order from, the lounge only had eight two-seater tables suitable for eating. That means if you’re lucky enough to get food, you’ll also need luck finding a place to sit and enjoy it without balancing it on your lap. The lounge itself felt tired and worn, with outdated furniture and a lack of comfort. It didn’t offer the relaxing, premium experience you’d expect from an airport lounge. If you have access to other lounges, skip this one. Not worth your time.

Google
Overall food and service were fine. Not a luxury lounge, but they've got most of the basic/standard breakfast/snack/dessert/drink that supposed to have and make you feel full before the flight even though not many choices/varities. The taste of food just ok, not really have a big complain about it. Maybe just was not serving warm/hot or fresh enough. Atmosphere was cozy and relax, nice and clean anyway, enough room, seat/table and accessories, wifi, plug for electronic devices.

Yelp
Everything was perfect, thank you for the stay. The sandwiches were incredibly good, I hope my next flight is out of A so I can come back! Very clean, lots of options, nice people, and quiet.

Yelp
The service here was great, and the staff were friendly and helpful. That's definitely the highlight! I was in around breakfast and food was solidly mediocre. I chose the free options available made to order, an egg and cheese sandwich and tomato soup (which was certainly Campbell's). I happen to appreciate both those, but it certainly wasn't what I was expecting. Bar appeared to be cash, showers available for cash ($15). I went to the shower after 24 hours of flight. The shampoo and conditioner available were decent if you didn't pack your own, and linens clean. No hair dryer or other amenities available as far as I could tell. Worth it after the long flight, but probably could've used a bit more amenities for the price, considering typically they are included with lounge admission. Overall, I probably won't be returning to this lounge unless I really wanna take advantage of the shower, which the other Priority Pass lounges in that terminal do not have.

Yelp
Oh my, I have been in a lot of lounges and this one takes the cake--for all the wrong reasons. Let's start with the "complimentary" drinks: the only beer option was Pabst Blue Ribbon. That's it. Wine? A mystery red and a forgettable chardonnay. No cocktails, no variety, nothing that says "premium experience." The poor bartender has to tell everyone that orders that there is a cost for what they requested and then gives the short list for complimentary beverages. Food? They offer some mini sandwiches, pasta salad and kale salad. You can order from a menu, but there are only eight two-seater tables in the whole place. So unless you time it perfectly, you'll be juggling your plate on your lap or standing awkwardly in a corner. The lounge itself felt tired and worn out. The furniture looked like it had seen better decades, and the overall vibe was more DMV waiting room than airport oasis. Bottom line: this was hands-down the worst lounge I've visited, especially considering the size and status of the airport. If you have other options, take them.

Yelp
Part of the Priority Pass lounges, we stopped by while waiting for our flight. Small, but a decent lounge with a full bar, more quiet than the other lounges we peeked into nearby (Ethiad and KLM). They have a few snacks out and a few hot dishes you can order with the QR code and they will bring them out for you. Service was quick and fast with the food delivery and clean up. 5/5 for that!

Yelp
Clean, nice "exclusive" perk offering private restrooms, seating, and bar away from hustle of Dulles terminal A -- all with natural light and views outside. Some complimentary refreshments rotate during meal times and are a plus. Chips, pretzels, oranges, bananas, cookies, coffee, water,, Kale salad, turkey sandwich, and pasta salad all on the house during my visit. Downsides are lack of charging stations and spots for larger groups/families.

Yelp
The hours are wrong online. This is basically a nicer airport seating area, or a restaurant that lets you sit without buying anything. They have a few complimentary food items and water, but otherwise you just pay for everything, like at a restaurant. Most of the seating has short backs, not big comfy chairs, so slightly better than airport seating. The free sandwiches were on really nice bread, but mostly soggy. The Caesar salad was just greens and was very soggy, but fine tasting. It's a place to sit and charge devices, but not really what I think of as an airport lounge.

Yelp
What kind of wine would one feed to an alcoholic goldfish? The answer to that and more is coming further in this edition of Lounge Review. To start off, the lounge is located right across Gate A32 and accepts priority pass. It's best to fly on a less popular day if you expect to use Priority Pass here. The lady working the front desk is very nice and don't miss the newspapers next to the entry desk. Despite the lounge being small, it has a high ceiling that adds spaciousness and the furniture is well selected, with contemporary touches. The space did not feel crowded despite being full as the furniture is well spaced out. Here is where things start to get unpleasant. While the bar has decent wines and beers, the only option of beer without extra cost is PBR. Really Virgin? That's the only beer you'll serve people flying into America? It may be an iconic brand, but these days, not many people would consider it a beer of choice unless you just walked into a dive bar somewhere in the countryside. Charging extra for other beers is simply absurd. Then there is the wine that's only fit for an alcoholic goldfish: a $10 retail bottle of Italian Palladio Pinot Grigio that's poured here without paying extra. The bartender is very nice and does his best to advertise this wine by stating to visitors that they have a great Pinot Grigio without paying extra. Cost aside, it's just simply not great, at all. To top it off, all the decent food selections also cost extra. The food items available on buffet are extremely limited. They include sandwiches that had a single slice of ham in a large bun. Even a cat would struggle to find it in all that bread. Then there is some sort of attempt at macaroni. Finally, a bowl of semi rotting apples. Thus, this lounge effectively becomes the same as visiting an airport restaurant: you enter and then pay more for anything remotely consumable. Certainly not what one would expect from an innovative airline like Virgin.

Yelp
Very relaxing, plenty of spacious seating, free light food options, menu to order food and drink (pay), various spirits and relaxing music. Very relaxing with friendly staff. They change over from breakfast to brunch at 11am.

Yelp
Five-Star Experience at Virgin Atlantic Lounge - Dulles The Virgin Atlantic Lounge at Dulles really impressed me. Even though they were closing in an hour, the staff still welcomed me in with warmth and zero hesitation. They let me know about the time limits in a respectful way--just giving a heads-up, not trying to rush me at all. The lounge was clean, the food was great, and the atmosphere was relaxed. But what really stood out was the customer service--from the front desk to the lounge staff, everyone was kind, professional, and made me feel truly welcome. I was just traveling in sweatpants, a t-shirt, and Crocs--nothing fancy--but was still greeted with an abundance of warmth and treated with full respect. That level of hospitality goes a long way. Thank you to the Virgin Atlantic Lounge at Dulles for a five-star experience. I'll definitely be back.

Yelp
I was introduced to this lounge when I used All Nippon Airways to go back to Japan. The lounge was spacious and there were a lot of outlets for charging. The staff was kind and I was able to relax before departure.

Yelp
This lounge has the most comfortable seats of all the lounges. I like the ones with a footrest that lean back. The food seemed sparse and the accommodations are fairly simple, but it wasn't crowded when I was there. Clean shower area and the entire lounge was quieter than some of the others. If I am hungry, this won't be a go-to, but it's a great option to have.

Yelp
Compared to Turkish Airlines Lounge in Concourse B, this Virgin Atlantic Clubhouse in Concourse A serves almost nothing complimentary. For breakfast, it serves only bagels, muffins, yogurt, pretzels, chips, fruits, teas, coffee and water. Even for bagels, it gives only cream cheese, but no jam nor butter. The tongue to fetch chips broke the chips. There were QR codes on the tables to order actual breakfast and dishes for fees. Will not come back for breakfast again.
google avatar

S K.

Yelp
Lounge now open to Priority Pass members before 2pm. Conveniently located near the underground walkway between the main Terminal and the A and B gates. Decent amount of seating especially as it was not over crowded like the Turkish Lounge. Breakfast served until 11AM when they switch to the Lunch menu. Breakfast featured various pastries, oat meal, and miso soup on order. Lunch had 2 different salads and 2 different sandwiches. You can also order the hot soup, pita and hummus from the menu. Unique items not in other IAD lounges: physical newspapers including the Washington Post, USA Today, Financial Times Bathrooms were clean and there was even a shower room. The gal at the check in was not the friendliest but everybody else was very nice.

Michael R.

Yelp
I got access here through my ANA business class ticket. I am not too impressed, yet it is better than having to find a spot at a restaurant or gate where there can be large crowds. It is a small lounge with only one bathroom per gender. The nicest part of this lounge is the view of the planes and controls tower. Just be weary of the size. I imagine during the hours of a virgin Atlantic flight it must get immensely busy.

Musta P.

Yelp
Got entry with PP. As others have reported, crappy food and only PBR. Left immediately and went to Turkish lounge for free food and drinks. Don´t waste your time and money going to this Virgin lounge.
google avatar

David A.

Yelp
Four stars? No way. Anything worthwhile here costs money beyond the admission fee. From reading previous reviews, this wasn't always the case...but as of 2024, it is. It's definitely not worth $35 and it's not even worth wasting a Priority Pass visit on. For $35 you get a crowded lounge with Kale, pasta salad, sad sandwiches on basic bread, and PBR. A complete sham.

Yelp
So I've always been fond of Virgin clubhouse lounge. They offer a la carte service and their food is usually pretty good. Today I got the chance to try their shrimp cocktail, tomato bisque, and Thai chicken curry rice. Very good no complaints.

Yelp
A very relaxing lounge with ample seating. They have a shower room, which is nice for extra long layovers. We were there for breakfast hours and they offer coffee, tea, juices, beer, wine and plenty of danishes and other sweets. There were comfy lounge chairs in front of the window to view the airplane. They also have access to a printer and laptops, which is a nice amenity.
google avatar

Yelp
We stopped here before our flight and were pleased we didn't have a wait. Louie's are getting overcrowded but not here. There was so many seats in the place I was surprised. We found a window seat but view was t like amazing of the plane being servic

Yelp
This is a pretty nice lounge. You scan a menu and order online from the menu! I've never seen that in any other lounge. I got the Beyond Burger! That's cool it was on the menu. My only complaint is that this is also the only lounge I've been to where they didn't have local beers on tap! They had some bottled mainstream beer. BOOOOO!!!!! But that just meant I went to another lounge to get my beer! Haha!

Dave ..

Yelp
Nice staff Crappy food, very limited in options Limited selection at the bar Small lounge

Yelp
This was my first time using an airport lounge so I can't really compare to much, but I had a pleasant experience killing time there before my flight. Online, there is an involved menu that I was excited to try but all but two of those food options were unavailable. There were some salads and sandwiches though. They are also generous with the drinks!

Gabriel P.

Yelp
Menu has changed hardly any food available just snacks. Don't even have deserts on the menu. It is quiet and relaxing which I appreciate. I got a Bloody Mary that had Amsterdam vodka in it and is extremely spicy.

Yelp
For our mini honeymoon, Anurag and I flew British Airways. Loved access to this lounge with priority pass. I was VERY impressed with the lounge - not only was service excellent, the food was restaurant style delicious. So they don't do the usual traveler buffet - instead you sit down and order what you like, it's brought to your table. We tried a few items - - The summer corn soup - beautiful velevty texture, very well plated and absolutely delicious! - The Indian "Thali" - A full meal with rice, a piece of naan, chicken curry, chickpeas and a yogurt sauce. Anurag finished this in the blink of an eye and then spent the rest of our time at the lounge draped over a lounge chair, holding his stomach because he over-ate *eye -roll* - The caprese salad - The cheese obviously was delicious, but I really appreciated the perfectly ripened slice of hothouse tomato on the salad - made everything that much more perfect, ha! - The veggie flatbread - perfectly crisp on every side, the cheese was goo-ey and the basil made it a beautiful mouthful. The bartenders were awesome too - always helpful and Anurag loved that they didn't disapprove of his "varied" liquor choices, lol!! All in all, we will happily come back here to unwind, a quick bite to eat/ hang out before a flight anyday!

Yelp
This is a "nice" lounge, in regards to very clean, prompt service and their food is a step above the complimentary hotel breakfast. When at Dulles, please note they are the only lounge that offers hot egg food (they switch up the egg dishes). They provide mini fruit parfaits, mini fruit cups (i.e. cantaloupe, honeydew, strawberries), basic boxed cereal (Kellogg's line), Quaker instant oatmeal, and pastries (please save yourself the calories and pass because these are pastries frozen and come to room temp). Their beverages offered include: coffee, white wine (usually Chardonnay), red wine (Cab usually), few pops, energy lemonade (some Hipster drink I assume), then the basic orange and cranberry juice, along with flavored water. This place is generally barren, so if you want some alone time, this is probably your lounge of choice. Overall, good but not great...could improve with their food selection and perhaps some artwork or something to make the ambiance a little more at home.
google avatar

Scott E.

Yelp
This is a good lounge, but not an amazing lounge. It's quite small, the food selection isn't huge, and the presentation of it is just OK. On top of that, there are only singular bathrooms which were regularly full when we were there. The staff was really nice but I found the buffet setup a little strange (small plates and loose silverware hidden in the middle nook). They also focused on relatively hipster things like black coffee only (no big espresso machine like most lounges) and PBR in the beer fridge. Overall it does have a beautiful view of the plane area and comfortable seating. However after looking at some Virgin lounges online (like NYC) I had pretty high expectations and didn't feel they were met. Worth going to but not worth a huge detour. Fun fact - if you're debating between this and Air France/KLM (Priority Pass), check the hours. We were there in the morning and figured we would try them both out, but KLM didn't open until very late morning or maybe it was afternoon. We ended up just immediately returning to this lounge since it's the only choice in that area.
google avatar

Angel S.

Yelp
Since Virgin Atlantic is a different company than Virgin America there is a fee to use this lounge. It is totally worth it. The hours of operation were not clearly posted so I did a lot of searching to find out it didn't open until 3 pm when I was there. All the food and drink are included in the fee. The food and drink are actually really really good. Its nicely decorated and I received stellar service. I'd definitely pay again if I had a decent amount of time between flights.
google avatar

Dipesh P.

Yelp
Decent lounge but definitely not as nice as some of the ones you see overseas. The staff is very friendly and the drinks are good so I can't complain too much. It is kinda small and could use a renovation to modernize the lounge area. Good spot to pass time till your flight but I would not recommend coming early just to hang out in this lounge.

Yelp
Finally an airline lounge in America that understands how to treat frequent fliers. As someone who spends insane amounts of time flying in between countries for work in godawful economy class (you are welcome fellow taxpayers, for not spending your taxes on business class travel), an airline business lounge is the shining light for most of my journey. I appreciate a good lounge that makes me forget I am going to fly for 24 hours in economy class with 3 stops. I have a love-hate relationship with Dulles airport. Well, mostly hate. The only "love" factor is that Dulles has some non-stop flights to Africa. Not that I look forward to taking them (if you have ever flown non-stop on Ethiopian Airlines from Dulles to Addis in economy class, you will know what I am talking about), but I do appreciate the fact that I can fly non-stop and save time. Having said that, Dulles has probably the worst airline business lounges I know. The United Airlines business lounge reminds me of a crowded dungeon where people are fighting for the last remaining bits of trail mix. Enter Virgin Atlantic! Now this is how a business lounge should be. It is small, but adequate. They have clean showers. Table service! The lovely lady at the bar took my food order and brought the food to my table....along with my dirty martini, shaken not stirred! The lentil soup is good, the chicken tikka masala is better, and the snacks are scrumptious. The ladies behind the bar make excellent drinks and it is all free, unlike the United business lounge where you have to pay for any alcohol that is not crappy wine. Faster wifi than the free wifi offered by Dulles airport. It is everything that a lounge needs to be. Thank you for making me love Dulles a little bit more. Now, can you do something about that Ethiopian Airlines flight I mentioned earlier? Like making sure it has more than one functioning bathroom on a 13 hour flight? Please and thank you.

Rey L.

Yelp
This is my favorite airport lounge and I compare all airport lounges to this one, all have never met the standards of the Virgin Atlantic Lounge at IAD.

Lynn N.

Yelp
Unfortunately I wasn't admitted into this lounge with Priority Pass, even though Priority pass customers are supposed to be allowed in. The ladies at the front desk told me they were anticipating high volume from other customers, so they could not admit me even though the lounge was almost completely empty!
google avatar

Paul R.

Yelp
The best airline lunge in Dulles. Excellent table service with excellent quality food and drinks. Charging stations with lightning connectors are a nice touch.
google avatar

J K.

Yelp
I could not believe I had access to a posh airline lounge like this. Clearly, it is for the true high end frequent flyer who expects everything for free (of which I am not), and they will not be disappointed. The place was well decored with lovely seating and tables. It was also well lit, so everything was clean and bright to the view. The complimentary bar was amazing and had a variety of drinks and other spirits like a regular bar, but what was more amazing was the full menu with dishes running from a simple burger to gourmet and exotic favourites like Thai tom yum shrimp noodle soup. I ordered the tome yun soup and it was excellent. I also ordered a few other things because my flight was not for a while, and each dish was amazing like the polenta. I had overheard some people talking about the bathroom, so I was curious as to what could be so interesting. Well, one of the bathrooms was indeed a "bath" room as it had a full shower, including soaps and towels. As amazing as this sounds, this clubhouse was not as impressive as their main clubhouse in London, but it did very well.

Yelp
Did not have a chance to go there but I purchased the pass while flying first on virgin America but they did not inform u that it's very far from your gat. It's virgin Atlantic gate which is 15 min away . I had no time of course to spent going their and back . So at least they should refund my money !!!
