Absolutely amazing place to have food in Banana leaf. Authentic taste and really enjoyed. Ambience was great and staff were very friendly. Explained the preparation time well before. We tried Keera (Spinach) vadai, Non vegetarian meal in Banana leaf (Curries Mutton, Banana, dhaal, Yogurt, Cabbage fry, desert, rice) , Kili parotta wrapped in Banana leaf, Vegetable fried rice, Ginger tea. We throughly enjoyed homemade style of freshly prepared food. Street parking with plenty of space. Thank you and looking forward to visit again.

If you want excellent food quality and outstanding service, there is only one place in West London. The food was absolutely amazing authentic Tamil Sri Lankan cuisine, cooked to a very high standard, with a great atmosphere to match. The service was equally impressive. Unfortunately, we didn’t catch the name of the lady who served us, but she was excellent, always checking on us and making sure everything was perfect. Both the chef and the manager also came over to interact with us, which really made the experience feel personal and welcoming. Highly recommended - you honestly can’t go wrong coming here. We’ll definitely be back!

Amazing restaurant. Food was beautifully spiced and tasty. Just be careful though. Medium is still quite hot. Interesting range of accompaniments. Welcoming family atmosphere. Attentive and friendly service. Well worth a visit.

Had such a great meal at Virindhu in Pinner. The food was honestly amazing — proper Sri Lankan flavours and everything tasted so fresh and full of spice (in a good way!). You can tell a lot of care goes into the cooking. Ravi served us and he was really friendly and attentive. He checked in at the right times and made us feel really welcome. They also gave us complimentary hot ginger tea at the end, which was such a nice touch and the perfect way to finish the meal. Overall just a really lovely experience. Definitely coming back!

Celebrated a close friend’s birthday at Virundhu, and what an unforgettable evening it turned out to be! From the moment we arrived, the service was absolutely exceptional. The team went above and beyond to make our private dining experience seamless and special. A particular mention has to go to one incredibly helpful staff member who was so accommodating with all the surprise arrangements. Nothing was too much trouble — he even jumped in to help us blow up balloons for the decorations! That level of care and genuine enthusiasm truly set the tone for the night. The private dining space itself was stunning. The ambient lighting created such a warm and elegant atmosphere, and having full use of the screen, sound system, and comfortable booth seating made the celebration feel both intimate and lively at the same time. It was the perfect setting for a birthday surprise. Now, the food — simply beautiful. Every dish was full of flavour and presented with such care. You could really taste the quality and authenticity in every bite. A lovely touch was the children’s meals being served on traditional banana leaves — it looked so vibrant and visually appealing, and it added to the whole cultural experience. A heartfelt thank you to Sam, the hardworking chef behind the scenes, and the entire team at Virundhu for making the evening so memorable. Your dedication, warmth, and attention to detail did not go unnoticed. It was truly a fantastic experience, and we can’t wait to return!

Lovely restaurant to have dinner with family. The food was so good and the service also perfect. Their starter muttin roll,chicken devil taste very good. For main we had mutton kotthu and lamprice . Their portion and presentation very nice. Sam who host us was good and make us feel like family....Would sure come back again.

One of my favourite restaurants I went to dine. From the moment we went in the atmosphere was so good. The service was top class. Feel like home. The flavour of the food was soo good. Would definitely come again and again. Special mention to Sam. His service was outstanding and look after guests very well. Well done to Virundhu.

We came across the restaurant by chance as we were driving in the area. I was totally blown away by the quality and taste of the food. I love the variety of dishes that are offered here. I will definitely be coming back more often. I especially love their banana leaf rice. I will have to come back to try more of their dishes.

Food that tastes fresh as they proudly eliminate any use of artificial taste enhancer MSG in their food. It is easy to appreciate subtle flavours and fresh cooking. Ambience is as good as it can get considering that it's on a high street. Sparkling clean and service with a smile. I've never had Sri Lankan Tamil food before, but this is sure to be one of my regulars as it is also vegetarian and vegan friendly.

On the Eastcoate high street. First time eating Sri Lankan food. Empty at weekday lunch time and was informed to sit at one of the smaller tables. Why not give us a larger table in your completely empty restaurant? I like that they give your own bottle of water. The chicken kothu was really good. Street food from the eastern part of the island if I read it correctly. Chopped up roti, chicken, egg, onions and more. Tastes better than it sounds. They need to serve this dish in a larger bowl as it falls out when taking food out. The potato curry tastes good, but it's supposed to be in a coconut curry sauce. Which however was not very creamy and more on the watery side. As if someone had diluted the coconut with water and oil. Also a rather small curry portion. Also tried the puttu, which was three flour rolls, brown and white, good for pouring curry or Sambar over. The music makes for a not so very intimate and relaxing dining experience. Fast beat and loud like a Sri Lankan rave party, although quite entertaining music. They have a seafood Thali for £15 for those willing to splurge at lunch.

This food was delicious. I would say that you can taste a lot of the toppings. The crust was light and flakey. I had the nutty pep with chicken and it was so good.

Absolutely lovely food and atmosphere. It was my first time having Sri Lankan food and it was delicious. The staff were super helpful explaining things and giving suggestions. The food was extremely flavourful, fresh, prepared and presented. Can't wait to go back again.

As far as Sri Lankan food goes, you can do no wrong with this place, especially in West London and the surrounding suburbs. Highly recommended!

We have been searching for a Sri Lankan restaurant ever since our favorite lost their chef. We had a prawn curry (Eral kulambu), a chicken kothu, an okra curry (Vendakkai Paal Curry), with steamed rice, and a few roti. We were especially impressed with the okra curry. The service was very nice and the decor is simple, crisp and clean.
