Photographer‑led outings to golden‑hour Cook Inlet overlooks and Chugach foothills; winter brings an aurora quest. Recommended by Alaska.org and featured in regional travel deal books for 2025.
Great place to get questions answered about the city and things to do. The best parts were the seating area by the fireplace, a little toasty for this summer day, and the postcards they would postage and send for you for FREE! We sent a couple to friends and family back home, so make sure you have some addresses handy.

The visitors centre was just a block from our hotel. Very nicely setup as a log cabin with many Alaska wildflowers planted all around. I loved the signpost on the outside telling me how far it was to far off and remote destinations. Very helpful staff inside.

This was a very nice tour of some of the spots one might not think of in Alaska. Especially the details about the history and also current events happening in Anchorage. The guide was very informative and willing to answer all questions offered by us passengers. My husband and I had trouble sitting together because we got on the trolley late and a pair traveling together did not want to sit together. However, this was no fault of the Trolley company.

The ladies were very honest and helpful to schedule our days activities. If you’re new to town, or getting off the cruise ship, stop in here first. It is also the pickup spot for the trolley tours.

It was beautiful with all the flowers & the grass roof & the ladies inside were very informative... Thank you volunteers! This is where we picked up the trolley tour, which I would highly recommend, as long as you ask for Donna on "The Don" trolley! She was amazing!!

Great place! Everyone was extremely friendly, nice and helpful. They had a lot of information on Anchorage and the interesting spots of the city. The also held my and my partner’s lugagge while we did some tours after our cruise and before our flight back home. Amazing experience!
(For those who don’t know, you can also get the touristic trolley and the free shuttle to the Alaska Native Heritage Center from this place)

Worth the visit. People are knowledgeable. They have lots of maps. And you can mail free two postcards anywhere in America. The trolley tour pickup is right outside the door. The Federal building is across the street and lots of souvenir shops nearby. Try the Mai Tai restaurant down two blocks.
