"Much like Jester King, Vista Brewing is best viewed as a destination brewery: the drive out to the 20 acre property in Driftwood is part of the fun. Don’t skip the food, which makes use of local ranchers and an on-site farm for dishes like pickled veggies, kids fare, and juicy burgers, which are just $15 with a beer on Thursdays. The taproom keeps a rotating selection of around 15 taps flowing, with standouts like the Adair kolsch and Driftwood pale leading the way. There are barrel-aged beers to sample, too, and several seasonal beer selections. Live music is also featured most Fridays and Sundays. The sprawling outdoors is a great dose of Texas Hill Country, but there are indoor areas for when the weather doesn’t cooperate." - Erin Russell
"The Hill Country brewery is using the day to release its newest stouts, the Lorenzo Mexican Hot Chocolate imperial stout and the Fireside Whiskey barrel-aged imperial stout, with a party from noon to 9 p.m.; there’s also a live show by Mandy Rowden from 6 to 8 p.m." - Nadia Chaudhury
"Part of a group of Central Texas breweries participating in the North Carolina Craft Brewers Guild’s Pouring for Neighbors fundraiser, pledging to donate $1 from every Adair kolsch pint sold in October to disaster relief efforts after Hurricane Helene." - Nadia Chaudhury
"The Driftwood brewery and restaurant offers up plenty of room for weddings and receptions, as well as beers and food." - Darcie Duttweiler
"The sprawling Hill Country brewery and restaurant offers up easy hangs for groups and families. There’s delicious beers, Texas-y brewpub fare (burgers, salads, tacos), plentiful seatings inside and alfresco, an on-site farm, trails, and more. There are indoor and outdoor dine-in areas." - Nadia Chaudhury
