This place is off to a fantastic start after only just opening! I was very nervous because I loved the wine bar aspect of the place that was here before, but now I have not only a great wine bar, but also a brewery and a place that serves salad in a city that makes it hard to find one at a good price point. The beer is amazing too. Far superior than what you can get at Burleson or Alamo across the street. I usually go for wine, but this place changes that for me. What sets this place apart though is the quality of the staff. They are all absolutely lovely and are exceptional hosts- somewhat of a rarity in this town. This place gets major points for the quality of vibe and atmosphere. I also appreciate that it feels classy and yet super casual. They hit it out of the park with this place!!

I personally had an amazing experience here. All the details were on point. We got to seat ourselves. Orders were brought out spaced out so we can take time to enjoy drinks, appetizers, and meals separately. The cheese plate was amazing as well as the chicken mash. Staff was great as well.

Vista Taproom is an excellent stop for hanging out or dining in. Brewing is all done in Driftwood, Texas to bring a locally microbrewery product to the 🇺🇸 USA’s 7th largest city in San Antonio. Great food and exclusive award 🥇 winning craft beer 🍻 are a treat at this “East of the interstate” unique location. The vibe and southwest decor inside has a great tone to it! The bacon jam Lamar Burger is great here and for the vegan diet also a great mushroom 🍄‍🟫 sandwich is available (messy and delicious 🤤!) Vista beers are exclusive products only available on tap from Austin-Buda-Kyle-Driftwood-Dripping Springs-San Marcos-New Braunfels-Wimberley-San Antonio and select locations in bottles and cans. You can find Vista beer in cans or bottles at the Taproom most of the time in the To-Go fridge at the front counter. Be sure and check out this exclusive Taproom for award 🥇 winning beers and unique barrel-aged beers that fall not far from the tree!

Vista Brewing is an up-and-coming Brewery on the near East Side. We shared the OctoberFest beer flight. There's a real diversity in what Vista brews, so a tasting flight is an excellent start! For Octoberfest, they served up a giant Bavarian soft pretzel with a mustard seed dip. Super relaxed atmosphere and FREE parking! 👍

Love this place! Great craft brews, food, and coffee. It’s never too crowded. Located in a trendy east side area with tons of other places for eats and drinks. Awesome vibes!

Update: Vista Brewing San Antonio new location is gorgeous, spacious, yet retains the atmosphere that made the Warehouse 5 location so cozy. And, yes, a full kitchen and coffee service! Definitely check out the new spot! Absolutely love grabbing a beer and usually a bite from one of the many tasty popups they host. Excellent and friendly service.

Solid beers. Inviting atmosphere. We will be back! There is an expansive back patio with lots of shade (thank you!!). Indoor seating-it is a bit like shared spaces so, the brewery and the coffee shop have indoor spaces to chill inside. Pet friendly. No caveats. Thank you (again). 💙🐈‍⬛💙 Friendly staff, cool merch. We WILL be back (Arnie not included.)

Yelp
Adorable space! A lot of seating, very nice interior and natural light. Would be a good place for a bigger group, they had some larger booths. Friendly service and I loved their merchandise for sale too! They have a good selection of wine in addition to the brewery. The food was great also! We only got two small bites, but nicely presented and good flavor. Will be back to try the other dishes! Not crowded on a random weekday afternoon. Kids entertained themselves with the board games they have in the front. Parking lot outside.

Yelp
This place is such a gem! Great location and cute aesthetic. The food is good and they have a nice selection or beer and wine. A burger + pint on Thursdays for $15 is a steal! I was so bummed to hear just a day or two after I was here last that they're closing this location.

Yelp
Good food. Good vibes. Beer on top. Texas wines. We were nearby and decided to stop here since they had food. I ordered fish and chips and they were the best I've had in a while. The batter was delicious. The fries were seasoned well. The slaw it came with it didn't have any flavor as it was dry, but everything else made up for it. The Grilled lemon was a plus. I'm Not a big beer person, so I ended up getting Wine. On a hot day, a good white wine hits the spot. I got the Albarino and it went well with my fish. The Staff members we encountered were super nice. They have inside and outside seating. Outside is dog friendly. I did notice that they have several events going out throughout the month. Go to their website to see what the events are. Parking is available on site but shared with the other business and can get full pretty quickly.

Yelp
What an awesome brewery! Whilst visiting la Ruina, we decided to escape the small confines of that bar to a quieter place and the Vista was perfect. We stopped by on Wednesday evening and found a nice quiet getaway with great brews. We tried the Hazy IPA which was surprisingly not as heavy as I thought it would be. Service was friendly and attentive. I felt very welcome and enjoyed my visit. Will definitely be returning! FYI- this place doubles as a cafe and a brewery so come on by for the best of both worlds.

Yelp
I stopped in try their beers awhile back can tell you that I really like this place. The brew I had was very tasty Adair - Kölsch, such that I want to come back for more. I also really like the look & feel of the space. It is light and open, simple and clean, without being spare and cold as many "minimalist" places tend to be. It is instead wam and inviting, like the place itself wants you to relax and hang out. The warm friendly service is equally appealing. On Lamar St just east of I37 and "Downtown", it is in an easily-overlooked location in a fairly plain retail building but with a generous parking lot and some other charming boutique shops. Highly recommend.

Yelp
I loved the Vista Brewing old location in San Antonio, but I was looking forward to this new location opening. When the former restaurant and business were here, I liked the ambiance. So I was curious about how they would transform this place. I think they left the whole interior (I mean the texture of the walls, floors and such) and I really appreciated that. It's chic, yet very cozy with the bar and table settings. The dining space is spacious and open. I had no doubt about their beer. It's always great! For food, I ordered Chicken Vista: deep fried chicken on mushed potatoes and spinach. It was so good! It fits with their beer perfectly. My friend had a Kobe beef burger with fries, and she did like it. I look forward to exploring more of their food and of course drinks!

Yelp
Overpriced for what it is, a $17 burger and a $17 salad. Both tasted great, but other finishes were missing. The bench seats are unpadded, the floor is bare concrete (like a garage) and the restrooms were a work in progress. Overall, the lack of soft surfaces make for a noisy environment. The service was slow, but I think the kitchen is very small, and even with a limited menu, the demand overwhelms staff. Parking is tight in the shared lot with 3 or 4 other establishments.

Yelp
Fantastic beer. Delicious food. I am a caveman, and drink gas station coffee......but based on my perception of what actual good coffee looks like I think they are hitting homers there too. I love popping in here. The staff is super cool, almost intimidatingly cool...but then they are so sweet to you that you feel immediately comfortable. I typically don't order off menu, but if it isn't busy here I always do, and they are always so accommodating. If you like salads def get the green goddess. One of the best salads in town. Great vibes too......hip but comfy and cozy. Drink local!

Alma C.

Yelp
Ordered the grilled cheese and tomato soup which come with a side of fries and it was absolutely delicious. The ambience was peaceful and had a nice selection of wine, beer, ciders and wine cocktails. Definitely recommend to all my friends. The staff was also so nice and knowledgeable about the drink selection.

Yelp
A hidden gem! Vista Brewery is a great hang. Seating is mainly outdoor. It was cold out and they had heaters, but it was still windy so we went inside where they had a cozy environment. Really great beer, their cocktails looked good too! I didn't eat, but they serve food on their menu as well. Really friendly staff which adds to the warm, energetic atmosphere.

Yelp
Great place to relax and drink . Food is awesome also. We were dropped off here so I kinda stumbled here . We had the 210 burger ahh it's delicious af! The sweat potato fries are the bomb! It's a tangy and spicy burger. I washed it down with a day cation IPAs.. yummy .. great place people and staff are wonderfully nice and welcoming.. I'm coming back here .

Yelp
Nice place. A little off the beaten path, but the beer I had, Hive Mind, was good, and the staff was very friendly.

Daniel Duro D.

Yelp
This place is just the cutest, with good beer and great food. They have a very comfortable ambiance that just allowed me and my friends to sit and chat for hors.

Henry R.

Yelp
Food was ok. Beer was good but not great. Service was good. Ambiance was real nice. We asked them to turn down the music, it was pretty loud at first.

Yelp
Beautiful welcoming space! Great for coffee and lunch with Wi-Fi or dinner and drinks with buddies. Smooth service for their 'soft open' days. The staff were kind and helpful. Colette and Lindsey are great! Huge amazing chicken sandwich I will be coming back for.

Collette C.

Yelp
I had a wonderful experience! The beer is great, the atmosphere is very welcoming and homey, and Jazmine was lovely to talk to! I will be coming back!

Yelp
The unintended effect of transplants coming to San Antonio cannot be discounted. Areas a generation that seemed overlooked are coming alive. Thus the same warehouse in the Westside that houses "Shotgun Coffee Roasters" becomes an intermediary. A coffeehouse, a brewery in the Westside? Say it isn't so but at least for now our city is experiencing a renaissance of sorts . As a result more unique businesses are hedging their bets, opening up in our city. Which brings me to the Vista Brewing Company. I could go on, using flowery verbage to describe my experience here but why. So I will give you the rundown. Parking is very problematic. You can park in residential areas but be careful. Vehicles come down the street and like Sammy Hagar "They can't drive 55!" It's housed in the same building as "Shotgun Coffee Roasters" an excellent coffeehouse by the way. It is really small with some indoor seating with more outdoors. So basically you go to the counter and order your pour. The taplist while a bit limited has something for everyone. I settled on their "Middle Trinity" a Belgian Tripel. I would remiss if I didn't comment on the tapmasters as they are friendly. My understanding is that this is their third location the other two being: Beecave and Driftwood. While they don't serve food in the foreseeable future they will have rotating foodtrucks. I must admit the beer I had was not too bad. It was much more sweeter, boozier than I anticpated. So sitting here I did have a critique. Since this area is close by an open ravine there appeared to be an insect issue. I was bit a few times and shooed off mosquitoes whilst drinking my beer. I hope they consider bringing in a pest controller periodically. Still I recommend coming here. It is a unique addition to this area. A brewery in the Westside? I never thought I would imagine seeing one here in my lifetime. The Vista Brewing Company is a charming place with good beers and service to match. Will patrons that never frequent this area venture outside their comfort zone to come here? I don't know. Time will tell. Next time I come I'm drinking inside.

Yelp
We went on a bike ride from Elmemdorf Lake down Apache Creek and decided to hit a couple of bars in this area during our ride. This was on my list to try, so we stopped at this old building that houses numerous businesses along the Alazan creek with a view of SA skyline. This area is changing in front of our eyes, so get over there before it completely gets a makeover. Though I am excited to see Alazan creek walk/bike trail that will lead you to Woodlawn Lake in the near future! There was a good quiet crowd outside enjoying a nice Sunday winter day. Went inside to look around and chat with the bartender about how they picked this place out of everywhere in SA. It started with a caramel maker... The whole building smelled like Chai tea as they were mixing it upstairs, so go on a Sunday if you want the sweet smell of Chai as you sip on your beer. I decided to go for Copperhead ;) which was a Pale Ale that was full of malty notes. This was a solid beer as I sipped at the tables outside and admired the SA skyline in the distance.

Yelp
Stumbled upon this adorable brewery and cafe while on vacation in SA. I had a flight and a few apps and the soft pretzel was probably the best I've ever had and I've had a LOT HAHA. lots of seating for small and large groups and adorable decor. Staff was excellent and super friendly.

Yelp
Fantastic west coast IPA with a chill interior and a tasty chicken sammy. Felt like I was in a west Texas trendy locale.

Paulo D.

Yelp
Cool hidden spot to get some good beers and enjoy the weather. They have the coffee roasters next door so this is a good place to work/study or just relax. Beer is also great.

G G.

Yelp
Million of flies, no AC and horrible service. Staff very rude and selective on who they engage with, definitely biased. Would explain why the place was dead. Been to the original hill country location and loved it, great experience! I was expecting the same atmosphere at the tasting room location, but unfortunately not encountered. Would give zero stars if I could. Owners should look to replace staff, it would change the vibe and maybe folks would stay and come back.

Emily L.

Yelp
Hidden little gem within an old warehouse. We've been twice now and plan on returning! Good beer selection, very pleasant staff, and a nice outdoor patio with plenty of seating. On weekends they often feature local food trucks and/or musicians. A nice casual spot to grab a few beers on the west side!

Joseph A.

Yelp
Visited on a Saturday afternoon and this place was super chill. Bartender was very friendly and had good suggestions. Great spot, - the converted warehouse it's in is very cool and outdoor area was nice. Beers were light and crisp. I had the American Pale Ale and the weizen and would recommend both (nice day-drinking beers ). I do not typically like wheat beers because I find them too heavy, but theirs was light but full of flavor. Looking forward to visiting again soon.

Daniel G.

Yelp
Good beer, friendly staff, nice chill spot on the West side. The building they are in is beautiful.

Joe V.

Yelp
In a very cool spot next to shotgun roasters. Some really good beer, I recommend the lambic style Grato or the juicy IPA. We stayed inside and had a great time. I'm excited to try their next offerings.
