=== Food surprisingly good ===
My bullets, as usual. Sorry for the lack of prose!
+ I was leery of ordering savory, non-acai food -- a search for "chimichurri" yielded nothing and "steak" yielded only a one-star review. But was _craving_ savory and especially steak so I ordered the steak chimichurri bowl against my better judgement.
Just goes to show that sometimes it's worth taking a risk!!
Steak was decent - NOT overcooked, not livery, all things I worried about in a place that didn't specialize in meat.
Grains were DELICIOUS and hot. Loved this part of it. (Now I want to learn how to MAKE this.)
Dressing both on the salad and on the grains (seemed like it was two different dressings) were plentiful and flavorful without being ... inaccessible? Salad dressing was some sort of italian, and on the grains, it was hard to tell.
Salad greens were fresh, delicate, none of the nasty, hard, near-the-stem bits that you sometimes find in your CostCo salad mixes.
All in all, fantastic.
+ Honestly, the ancient grains with dressing was the best part of the bowl. I would easily order this without steak next time.
+ It was FILLING. I had planned on getting an acai bowl alongside it, or immediately afterwards, and I couldn't fathom it. That's SUPER rare for me.
* It's pricey -- with a $2 tip, it ended up being $19.99, but I'm ok paying for that if it's quality, hits the spot, AND ends up being so filling.
+ And it came in less than 5 minutes. There was an order ahead of me. Given some of the reviews here, I was prepared for a 20 minute wait. It was at 9:46 am on a Saturday morning.
+ I was sitting just outside and they brought the chimichurri bowl out to me instead of me having to go in and check repeatedly - that was thoughtful.
* Their outside space isn't particular enchanting. Because it abuts the street, a lot of cars are passing by. But there are three small serviceable tables, each sitting two people each.
* Did get a Superfood Bowl after an hour or two (needed to wait THAT long for stomach to be ready!) Recommendation from another patron. It was good -- lots of acai, toppings seemed fresh. But was not out-of-the-world surprising like the savory bowl was.
* THAT bowl did take a while. There were a few other patrons but the bowl ended up taking 25 minutes. I suspect it was out of the ordinary though because the server did need to ask halfway through the wait what I was waiting for and apologized for the wait which makes it seem it was unusual.
Enjoy your bowls, whether sweet or savory!
