More of the classic, metal-building production brewery layout than other high-profile breweries making the Boston area's best beer. But, more down-to-earth, too. Impressive range, focusing on IPAs. Lots of seating and free parking. Worth the drive down.

Google
Very cool brewery. On the weekend they have a 21+ section which is super nice. Regular food trucks. Beer is very good and the atmosphere is welcoming. Probably my favorite brewery in MA.

Nice taproom with a large outdoor area that is dog friendly. The servers are very nice and the beer is excellent.

Google
The building is nice and spacious, both indoor and outdoor. They have 14 beers on tap, mainly IPA styles, a hard seltzer, a stout, a larger and light larger. They have snacks and other non alcoholic beverages to buy. They usually have food trucks and the night I went it was B.Y.O.F. ( Bring Your Own Food). They have a large selection of merchandise. Hats, shirts, drinking glasses and more. My only recommendation is parking when they are busy the parking lot is small and tight and hard to get cars in and out.

Great beer! Love this spot and their outdoor area.

Google
Great beer, beautiful taproom. We were so excited to finally visit from Boston. We go to a lot of breweries around the country and I’ve never felt so uncomfortable with my typically well behaved 1 and 3 year old at a brewery. There were signs on every table and every door about keeping kids sitting or within arms distance. I was so anxious the whole time. Amazing beer but we won’t come back to the taproom.

Great place!! Beer, food, and atmosphere all amazing! We will definitely come back when we are near Plymouth!

[UPDATED]: A great, local establishment with friendly staff and creative craft beers. My first beer here, during opening weekend, was the Orange Cream Dream - a tasty and interesting take on a not-too-often-seen style. Since then, they've also offered a Cherry version of the same beer which was just as good. The Elusive IPA, awesome artwork aside (a very cool homage to "The White Whale"), is a standout. Additionally, the Lost Harbor ESB was a very strong representation of another great style that you don't see too often. It's nice to see a place that has fun experimenting with their offerings - there are always an assortment of sours available and other inventive beers such as the Two Tickets To Pellet Ice (tiki inspired collaboration with Equilibrium Brewery) DIPA, brewed with blue spirulina which gave it a cool blue color. Lastly, any brewery that hosts Zane Lamprey on tour, and brews a beer in collaboration of said tour (Zane's Big Adv3nture IPA) deserves 5 stars for that alone.

Yelp
This spot is quickly becoming one of my favorites in the neighborhood! After moving out of Boston, I was looking for some local breweries to replace my favorites in the city, and am happy to say Vitamin Sea is helping fill the void. The brewery itself is spacious with lots of indoor and outdoor seating and your typical funky, industrial tap room feel. There's often really good food trucks, pop-up coffee stands, live music, trivia nights--you name it. You can also grab cans to-go, peruse their merch selection, and bring your pup along (at least if you're sitting outside, not sure about the tap room). Barrel House Z is also right nextdoor, so if you want to brewery hop a bit, that's an option too. The beers themself also don't disappoint. My husband and I are definitely hazy IPA people, and have found something we love each time we visit. If you're not into that though, your options are definitely more limited. They do always have at least one seltzer and mocktail on the menu if either of those are more your speed. Both the staff and patrons here are so nice, it definitely has a community feel to it. I'm quickly on my way to becoming a regular, and wouldn't have it any other way!

Yelp
Well, now I can say that I've had a seltzer the color of "zelyonka"! To my non-slavic friends and followers, let's say this: When I got my sample of Baja Splash Seltzer, my initial reaction was "it's green!" (or was it "blue"?). No matter, I can say for sure it was great! This one was refreshing, summery, citrusy, and while sweet, not overwhelmingly so. Something I would 10/10 get again, and need to get my tail end over here before it rotates out! I also have a light fascination with blue food - it seems like it shouldn't exist, but I digress. As for their other offerings, I feel that they have an okay selection. Some seltzers, stouts, sours, and non-alcoholic options were all available. However, the menu was also IPA heavy, and while I appreciate that I may be in the minority, I am not an IPA fan. Though, perhaps that may change in the future with Vitamin Sea's help. The staff have been nothing but kind and welcoming. While typical of places like this, the ability to try samples doesn't go unnoticed. Finally, the vibe is open, hip, and communal. There are lots of picnic style tables, and card/board game available to borrow. Thus, a terrific brewery to spend a weekend afternoon or evening at. The place is open to families and friend groups, and food trucks are here often. Lots to try and enjoy; especially for IPA lovers. Brewery fans will also appreciate another favorite: Barrel House Z throwing distance away.

Yelp
Great beer and a beautiful spot. Dino converted a warehouse space into a brewery with a very well-done tap room. Food trucks rotate outside. Dogs welcome, too, but inside only during weekdays otherwise outside seating.

Brian G.

Yelp
Been going to VSB since 2019 when it used to be crazy busy and hard to get a seat. Now it's usually much more laid back and the beer is still just as good. The vibe is mellow; complete with surfing videos on the big screen and the sounds of the Elovaters filling the air. They really stay true to their south shore surfing style. The taproom is spacious and looks like a converted auto shop with large garage doors that open on the nicer days. There's a bunch of picnic style tables and a few rails with seats along the side wall. They have a singular shuffleboard table as well. There's some adirondack chairs outside in front and some outdoor tables along the side of the building. There's always food trucks and they keep their site up to date on the schedule which is super helpful when planning a trip. And for the most important part, the beer!! They have great hazies and fruited sours (sour pipe project). I hear the seltzers are pretty good too but I don't drink them. The stouts are decent but limited in quantity and not something to go out of your way to get. You can find some of their brews at finer stores but getting them straight from the source is the best way to get it IMO. With a new brewery popping up on every corner, VSB is still one I try and make it to whenever I'm up in the south shore area.

Yelp
Beer: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Food trucks. Indoor / outdoor seating. Relaxed Vibe. Stop reading and just go.

Ana H.

Yelp
The beers were absolutely delicious (as always), and the chill vibes in the taproom were contagious. Wanted to try everything on the menu but had a long drive ahead service was very nice and friendly

Ti W.

Yelp
Great beer, great ambiance! I love it that they offer small pour so I can try everything before deciding which ones I like the most. So far Elusive is my favorite. There are a lot of families with kids and dogs at this brewery, which makes it very vibrant and lively. The staff is very friendly and helpful when helping me select which products to try. Highly recommend for a weekend hangout!

John A.

Yelp
Beer here is wonderful. I'm a big fan of IPAs in the area, and their varieties are among the best I've had. There are only two servers at a time, so expect to wait a bit during peak hours. They find a way to keep the line moving, though, even while patiently letting you sample different kinds. The nondescript front in the middle of an industrial park opens to a cool atmosphere with long wood tables and outdoor seating. It's a family-friendly brewery. People often bring their babies and young kids. If you are so inclined and want to talk, they opened a section further in the back that is adults-only. Good variety of food trucks, but they can be hit or miss, so check the website to make sure you are comfortable heading there hungry.

Yelp
Another funday Sunday -- great servers, delicious drinks and delicious food. Can't go wrong.

Yelp
From the friendly service to the amazing well balanced beers you can't find a better local brewery. These guys have it on point. Always a wide range of beers to try, there's something for everyone. Lots of great food trucks, clean restrooms, enough room even when busy so it doesn't feel crowded. Just awesome.

Ifeoma I.

Yelp
I stopped by at Vitamin Sea while in the area to visit some friends, and I was not just impressed by the selection of beers, but also the innovation! There were ample selections of different kinds of beers (IPA vs Stout) as well as seltzer options. I was pleasantly surprised by the slushy beers that were also available, and came in fruity flavors or an açaí bowl flavor. I also had a chance to stop at the food truck that's part of the brewery, and the sirloin steak sliders were awesome! Both the food and drinks were also decently prized so you won't need to spend a lot for a great time! There was both indoor and outdoor seating, and some patrons brought their dogs along for the experience. There was also an option to buy beers directly at the brewery and some people within my party took advantage of that. Definitely stop by if you're in the area and thinking of doing something like this!

Yelp
Beer to travel for Good people and vibe Weymouth! It's a clever and fitting name here, with the nautical theme gamely portrayed by Keever, and rich, juicy, Vitamin C-stocked silk flowing from their taps. Well done, copywriters. The environment is industrial on the outside, warmed up by friendly and comfortable fittings within and alongside. The main room is high-ceilings and boisterous, with picnic tables, merch, shuffleboard, a commodious tap bar with 4-pk cans table at its side, and facilities behind. Chill but lively music burbles in without overwhelming conversation. The patio outside is similar action with a dose of sunshine on the right days, and more room for your doggo should your friend join the day. No flights right now, FYI, so be ready for full pours and safe rides home. 12-8 on Saturdays only is a somewhat narrow bullseye to hit in a full clean-drinkin' week...but taking aim is highly worth it. The place is inviting, and the wares are SO SO DEF. Highest rec.

Matt S.

Yelp
Really awesome brewery! Great staff, unique assortment of brews, plenty of parking, cool merch!

Ali C.

Yelp
It's a brewery and a preschool? I'm confused. More kids than adults who are able to purchase the products. Wouldn't recommend. Chuck E Cheese same beers same child ratio.

Damien S.

Yelp
Scrumptious brews (haziest, juiciest NEIPAs this side of, well, New England), kill-chill vibe in the taproom, and when a pandemic strikes, reasonable parking out front. I mean, back when it was biz as usual and VSea only had Saturday hours, it was a madhouse with lines for the sake of lines, and a Giacomo's type situation where they'd sell out early every week. Now, there's inventory and a streamlined cash and carry process for end times. 4 tall boys for $16-18, worth every penny. Can't wait for the tap room to re-open so I can hang like a post-collegiate toga.

Yelp
I was in town for The Elovators NYE show, all the way from Arizona! When I heard there was a release of a mimosa seltzer by the band I had to have some. So, I hopped into an Uber, and I was on my way. From the moment I walked in I was greeted by friendly faces. Everyone was so helpful in beer selection, as I had a couple of the Secret Vacation brews while I was there. When I ordered my seltzers to go, I was informed the House of Blues would have the seltzers at the show for that evening. All of the employees were very informative and helpful!! I always love a good brewery!! My understanding is that they even let you bring in food if you want to eat while there. Also, there are filtered water stations, which I have not come across offer in breweries out west!! I loved the atmosphere, the vibe, the drinks and the staff!! I would highly recommend this place if you are looking for something out of the tourist side of Boston!!!

Yelp
Happened upon this spot trying to find barrel z. What a happy find. The beer is delicious. The space is huge and they need it for sure. Soooo many people. The first time we went it was nutso. Lines lines lines. The bf waited in line for 25 minutes. I said never again. The beer was that good that we went a second time. This time they added a pouring station outside and the line moved much faster. There is a ton of community seating outside and inside. There are food trucks so no worry of getting loaded It's a very family Friendly place so lots of kids around. If you have them they have plenty of company there. As of now they are only open on saturdays ; but it's definitely worth the drive to check it out. And barrel z is next door so Your not driving there just for one place. Cheers. !

Yelp
Vitamin C POP-UP beer garden in Hull. 5 Water St., Hull. It appears on Google maps (link below). No phone. Call the main brewery. Hours: Irregular, depends on weather and crowds. With luck, 12-dusk. Only open in July. (this may vary in 2023.) [Yelp: please feel more than free to put this back as a separate location IN HULL, so it can be found in Hull.] This popup beer garden is not the main brewery. I entered the information for it as a separate business and Yelp merged it with this brewery. This review is another attempt to get this beer garden the clarity it deserves because it really is a separate place and is not located at the brewery. The beer garden hours are irregularly irregular, which makes them hard to visit. But, the view is astounding every time. The staff are pretty nice. Eventually, in later July, food trucks like migrating birds show up, which are quite variable in quality. The beer is good, though, and so is the view. You can bring snacks. You should go, and hope that they get better hours and better food options. I sincerely hope to go back. https://www.google.com/maps/place/Vitamin+Sea+Brewing+Hull+Beer+Garden/@42.275047,-70.8650628,17z/data=!4m5!3m4!1s0x89e367377ef21de5:0xa31773650ffa79ee!8m2!3d42.2764147!4d-70.8632614 ps. thanks for the invitation to visit the brewery, but my experience was at the Hull location, which is pretty Hull-specific. I would prefer my review to be in Hull. You all can go to Hull if you want to, when this is open, for a nice experience, but only if you can find it while searching Hull. sigh.

Yelp
Finally got here on a weekday afternoon and regret that we waited so long. The selection on tap was great and we had 5 oz pours of 6 different brews, every one was delicious. They even had one of the beers as a slushy. We got a full pour of that after. Food truck rotation provides some tasty options so you aren't just drinking and the open door seating faces the afternoon sun. We'll be back often.

Tom F.

Yelp
I left a bad review but the owner respectfully reached out to speak to me personally. I respect that more then if I had a bad time. Give them a try if in the area!

Ron C.

Yelp
I came by here last week as a recommendation from an employee from Naukabout Brewery. I picked up a few 4 packs of different IPA's. The lady who waited on me was very nice. The selection of IPA's here is good. I tried the Due North yesterday and was impressed. Delicious beer. I'm looking forward to trying the other 3 I purchased.

Patrick N.

Yelp
This brewery makes absolutely unreal craft beer. It is some of the best in the country hands down. Awesome brewery and awesome people!

Mark L.

Yelp
Vitamin Sea has been on my list for awhile. I finally made it over yesterday. It's practically next door to Barrel Z and Article 15 is only a couple of minutes away which made it easy to go to all 3! Arrived at Vitamin Sea around 6 and they were already out of a few beers but still had a great sour guava marshmallow. Unique pairing that actually left a soft feel on your tongue. You could really taste the marshmallow. One of the best sours I've ever had. Also had 2 NE IPA's. A Triple Summer at 10.2 $8 for 12 oz, very smooth I could barely taste the alcohol and the Elusive IPA at 6.8 and $7 for a pint. The Elusive is very tasty but there are a lot of tasty NE IPA's so it's hard to say where this ranks but it is quite delicious. I think this brewery has great potential. It'll be great if they're able to produce enough beer to open a few other days rather than just Saturday. The taproom is pretty good sized with beer hall picnic table style seating. They installed a wood panel look on the walls and a wood beam frame up top to make it feel more cozy and it works. I mean you know your in warehouse but it just seems nicer than that. The massive logo behind the serving station really stands out and when you walk in you gravitate toward it. They have tons of outdoor seating maybe equal to whats inside and an outdoor serving station. Thankfully it was not inclement and we sat for a time both inside and outside. Not sure what winter brings hopefully they can tent it with heaters or the inside is going to be very crowded.

Derek S.

Yelp
Had to ask the owner if we could put on a Revolution game that was on at the time. Told us that only surfing was allowed to be on. Cool bro

Taryn A.

Yelp
They make some really good beer. They are new and still working out some of the kinks, and parking is awful so I can't call it a 5 star experience, but that should improve with time. Hopefully they can eventually ramp up production and be open more than once per week!

Kendra M.

Yelp
Pros: -Delicious beer that is a lot better than most of the Boston-Area breweries. It can easily compete with Trillium and Treehouse. -Indoor and outdoor seating. Outdoor seating is dog friendly. -Food trucks. -Friendly staff and the lines move quickly. Cons: -Parking is limited and chaotic. -It's only open on Saturdays and the beer tends to run out if you don't get there early. -I imagine it'll be a nightmare in the winter when all the outdoor seating isn't available anymore. Outdoor seating is like 50+% of the seating.

Jordan G.

Yelp
Love stopping here after work on fridays. Awesome local brews and a huge outdoor/indoor seating area to soak up the vitamin D while drinking vitamin SEA!

Caitlin W.

Yelp
Stopped in for the first time during their 1st Anniversary. Great brews. Wish I could have experienced the outdoor seating, but it was January and 10 below. The space is nice, they had a food truck but inside. Not sure if that is all the time or just for the anniversary party. Next time I come up to the area, they are a must stop brewery!

Paul L.

Yelp
A great craft brewery with a awesome product. I am personally a fan of the double IPAs. I have never had a bad one from there.

Todd H.

Yelp
The beers are amazingly high quality and there is always a good assortment of brews to choose from. Some of the best beer I have ever had. The staff in knowledgeable, passionate about their craft and super friendly. Amazing experience all around.

Tasia L.

Yelp
The stouts are out of this world!!! The owners have the best story on how they got started.

Carlos M.

Yelp
Great space. Ample parking. Like moved fast and let you sample beer without a charge! Great outside patio/deck! Dog friendly which is a plus! Outside pouring station!

Sarah N.

Yelp
The brews were good but could have been colder on the day we got there. To be fair it was a record hot summer day. It's a cool space with helpful staff and well designed merch. My main issue is that this place has no plumbing. How are you going to have a taproom without an adequate bathroom facility??? They rely on outdoor porta potty's. I just think that brings the whole experience down a bit. Makes me want to trek in over to Barrel House Z and use their bathrooms. Kind of hope these guys get it together. I'll give it a few months then check it out again.

Harry L.

Yelp
Excellent NEIPA's, unfiltered and perfect. Long line but worth the wait. Will definitely be back

Daniel P.

Yelp
Amazing beer. I tried about 4 different ones, and each one seemed to be better than the last. The staff was super friendly, and kept up a good pace considering it was very busy. They are only opened on Saturdays, and its wise to get there right when they open at noon.

Person O.

Yelp
Heard so many great things about this brewery and they did not disappoint. My favorite was beachfire stories. Great atmosphere, lots of friendly people, kids, and dogs outside. I hope to come here a lot during the summer!
