Vito's Pizza

Quality pizza, no doubt. I think it is a tad expensive, but so is everything these days. I like this place for the occasional slice and a beverage. Nice staff, big airy room, fresh slices. Yum.

Was super stoked to find I was staying just down the street from a legit 8.2 Dave Portnoy One Bite reviewed pizza joint! Not sure if the pizza maker was just feeling rushed or lazy today but our pizza was definitely not worthy of an 8 score. The pizza was slightly undercooked, not crispy or charred at all. Still really good don’t get me wrong but not something I’d travel any distance for at all. My local pizza joint is way more consistent and has way better undercarriage and crisp.

Eat here! What more can I say. The staff is super attentive, the Pizza is really good ( Vito takes his dough very seriously and makes it all himself ) and they have even have a good bourbon selection. Frequented by locals, Vito's is the real deal. Conveniently located in the mid-town section of Santa Monica, so much is within walking distance (including Saint John's medical center). Brian and Michael made my frequent visits very enjoyable. My favorite pies were Fresh Mozzarella Slice and Terra Firma.

Ordered a sausage subs to go. Tasted ok but portion size was small, would need two of these for one person. Guess it's the norm here but will not repeat, very disappointed. There are other places with better food and more reasonable prices.

Great ice cold draft beers! Pair it up with a slice of pizza(sold by the slice or whole pie!). I had the spaghetti and added meatballs and the sweet italian sausage and it was a marvelous meal! In Santa Monica, check them out!

Checked out this spot today around 5pm after enjoying a family day at the Santa Monica Pier. Parking was a close one since it’s meter parking but we got lucky and parked across the street. It was pretty empty when we arrived, it seemed like the dinner crowed walked in after us so our pizzas did not take very long. We got 1 large pepperoni which i thought was too greasy and a large cheese and meatball sandwich which was good. The sodas are refillable. My beer on tap was a little flat. The benches seem comfortable for the most part but I hardly fit at the end and my mom could not fit at all and we brought over a chair. The staff was great. Very chill spot for a family pizza night.

Folks, trust me when I tell you this photo does not do justice to the pizza sold here. The slice is huge, reasonably priced and above all delicious. I went not knowing what to expect, so I ordered one slice and it was so delicious, I ordered two more! I've had pizza everywhere, including New York City and Chicago, cities notorious for their pizza and I can honestly tell you Vito's Pizza is in my top 5 best pizza places. Service was also great! The two guys working that day were really nice and very friendly! I certainly will be back again and I highly recommend Vito's Pizza!

Not sure how this isn’t 5 stars. Pizza is one of the best I’ve found this side of New York, the staff are super nice, and they have a full bar. We showed up with a bunch of kids who were amped up and they were super kind to us. Will be back soon.
