The Restaurants Los Angeles Lost to the 2025 Eaton and Palisades Fires | Eater LA

"A go-to for old-school Italian food in the Palisades since 1984, this family-owned restaurant held memories of generations gathering to split plates like chicken piccata, crackly pizzas, and ravioli. Its story mirrors that of many long-time residents, with family ties and traditions passed down over decades. — Rebecca Roland, editor, Eater Southern California/Southwest" - Eater Staff

Just fantastic every time I’ve been here. John is always such a pleasure. The food is always delicious. Carbonara is perfect, prices are great, the sauce on the veal piccata was spectacular and the calamari is my favorite by far. Obviously we will be back. Don’t walk, run here!

This was my first time trying this restaurant via Uber Eats. I initially thought I received a different order and had to double-check the photo on the app. The portion size was good, but the pasta turned out really bland and dry, maybe it lacks sauce? and it didn’t quite look like the photo on the menu. On a positive note, they did include complimentary bread, which was a nice touch. Overall, I’m not sure if I’ll be ordering from this place again, but I appreciate the effort.

Great service. Excellent pizza - peach and prosciutto was very nice! Recommend making a reservation if going on a weekend. Arancini with pesto sauce was delicious for an appetizer. Free parking outside.

An owner that meets and greets you as well as seats and serves you shows dedication to his restaurant. Great personality, sense of humour and dedication to his food. This was our first time here and I will tell you the food and wine reminded us of when we were in Italy. The food was fresh and delicious, they paid close attention to requests which is not something you often find. The coffee used is local here from Erie St., great roast and flavour and the Tiramisu is excellent. We will be back to try the pizza as they also looked very good on the way out to other tables.

Love this place. It’s very quaint inside and you forget you’re in a shopping plaza. Service was perfect and I was greeted quickly. I went for the excellent reviews of the carbonara and was very pleased with my choice. It was creamy and cooked to perfection. I enjoyed the fresh bread with roasted red pepper butter as well. Chicken parmigiana was delicious Price point was right on and I look forward to returning. Highly recommend giving it a try.

We had a delightful first time at Vittorio's! Service was friendly, prompt, and very helpful with recommendations and descriptions. Food came out quickly and in a timely manner. Every dish we had was delicious! Spaghetti carbonara with added chicken was phenomenal. Chicken al Vittorio was a standout dish! Perfectly grilled moist chicken on a bed of creamy melt in your mouth gnocchi. Prices are great and portions are generous. The atmosphere is intimate and perfect for a nice date. We can't wait to come back and try even more dishes off the menu. Would totally recommend this place!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Vittoria's Trattoria Italian Cuisine and I must say, it was an exceptional experience. The food was absolutely delicious and the customer service provided by Ashley was top-notch. From the moment I walked in, Ashley warmly welcomed me and my friends and made us feel right at home. Her friendly demeanor and attentive nature truly enhanced my dining experience. She was knowledgeable about the menu and offered great recommendations, ensuring that we had a memorable meal. Now, let's talk about the food. Vittoria's Trattoria Italian Cuisine truly knows how to deliver authentic Italian flavors. Every dish I tried was bursting with rich and vibrant flavors. Especially the Ravioli with Alfredo Pasta. The Godfather pizza was a delight, with a thin and crispy crust topped with fresh ingredients chicken, sun dried tomato .The portion sizes were generous, leaving us feeling satisfied and content. One dish that stood out to me was the Ravioli and It was a true masterpiece, with rich Alfredo sauce, and a creamy cheese filling. Each bite was a heavenly combination of flavors that left me craving for more. The ambiance of the restaurant was cozy and inviting, with dim lighting and rustic decor. I would highly recommend Vittoria's Trattoria Italian Cuisine to anyone looking for an authentic Italian dining experience. The food is outstanding, and the customer service provided by Ashley was exceptional. Thank you, Ashley, for your warm welcome and attentive service. I will definitely be returning soon!

Google
Very good Italian restaurant. We asked for focaccia (it was okay) the arancini (spectacular) and some cocktails (nothing fancy though). Great service, the staff is friendly and attentive. The gnocchi were delicious, but the chicken by itself was flavorless. Also they give you the amount of fresh grated cheese that you want. Reservation is recommended because it gets very busy.

Yelp
We stopped in on a busy Saturday and luckily got a table. Reservations recommended. Service was fast, pleasant, and welcoming. Our food came out fast, hot, and perfect. Definitely a hidden gem!

Yelp
Vittorio's is as close as you get to a legit trattoria in Windsor. So many options that are entirely delicious. Highly recommend!

Yelp
We have been ordering from Francos for years but thought we would try someplace different so as you can see the bar is already set pretty low...ordered chicken & veal parm with penne and also an order of gnocchi. As you can see in the pic..the order size is pretty small..the veal and chicken were not fresh..not sure if it was frozen the reheated on a microwave but the veal was tough like leather as if it was over cooked in the microwave. The bottom side was very soggy which as not due to the sauce cause it wasn't in any! The chicken parm...same thing but very very dry. Both penne and gnocchi were saturated in marinara sauce, over cooked and extremely salty. The Gnocchi was so over cooked it was mushy. We most likely won't give them a second chance...if they don't serve fresh food..why bother. Never tried the pizza. But again..won't try it.

Yelp
Everytime we come here, the food is amazing and exactly what we want. Staff offer popular suggestions giving us a chance to try something new. Always a tasty and great time at Vittorios. Will always come back, popular spot to catch up with friends. You can tell it's family owned but never a bad thing because it offers authentic taste and a personal experience to each customer!

Yelp
Best Italian food in East Windsor!! Authentic home cooked and freshly prepared every order. It's worth the wait for the soup which is made fresh per order, yummy!! Pizza is always great and the service is exceptional. For a family run business you just can't go wrong. We come weekly. We have family that visits from Peru and the first place they wanted to come back to was Vittorio's.

Yelp
Seriously, this is the most authentic trattoria this side of Toronto's Little Italy. This guy, Vittorio, has been certified by Naples, Italy to produce pizza and bread in their name. We started with the bruschetta (often quite ordinary in most restaurants) which had the freshest tomatoes, basil, and garlic but we were blown away by the light, airy, perfectly grilled bread. The three of us each ordered a pizza which was too much food but we couldn't agree on toppings. We got my son the pepperoni, my wife got the porcini (mushrooms and sausage), and I got the truffle (delicate, unique flavour ...the best in my mind). It was a pleasure to see this family business run by the family: Vittorio chef, daughter server, son busboy. Did the food come out quickly? Absolutely not. This is handmade perfection (of the best ingredients) which takes time and passion to produce. If you're in a rush ( or a mangia cake) go to a fast food restaurant. I definitely recommend this restaurant and will be returning again shortly.

Yelp
Have been here many times and never disappointed. I don't even like pizza but I love this pizza. Fresh with such a great crust and the dessert pizza is absolutely wonderful. Don't hesitate to go here!

Yelp
Authentic pizza made right in front of you. Just found this place recently and I am glad that we did. The pizza cook has a flair and love for what he does.
