I walked in last night at 11:20 PM. The woman working was extremely rude and told me they were closing in five minutes despite the large "24 Hours" sign outside. I double-checked Google, and it clearly said they were open for another 40 minutes. I ended up walking out. With service like that, this place won’t be in business much longer.

Do yourself a favor and go to Roberto's or Rubacalba's or Riva's... The portions this place gives you is pathetic, you pay the same price for less than half the meat/cheese/lettuce they put in your order and they burn your tortillas. Never coming back myself and I've been going here for 20 years. Test out my theory and you'll know exactly what I mean. Wish I took a picture of the laughable taco I received the other day... Jack In The Box has better tacos than this place and they're like $1.20 lmao PS they're not 24/7 despite the giant sign on the building

Very strange experience. First time in, I was very polite, staff didn't realize I spoke Spanish. Because I'm white they played a "joke" on me. Didn't know what it was until i got home but i wasn't going to eat it either way obviously. Best way to deal with this kind of hostility is just never return as a paying customer and to spread the word. Something else might have been going on if you know what i mean but the only thing I can say is that the burrito consisted of about 2% tortilla, 45% chicken, and 53% water. No other ingredients. By the time i walked across the street to home water was pooling in the wrapping. I squeezed all the water out into a measuring cup and got to the 1 and 1/2 line. Chicken total was 1 cup. Most disgusting experience to I've had in quite some time.

Today 10/15/2025 8:00PM I ordered a veggie burrito the price was $12.50? The burritos with the meat was pretty much the same price. I go home cut the veggie burrito in half and there is only lettuce and rice in the burrito! NO BEANS, ONIONS, TOMATO, AVOCADO, CILANTRO NOTHING!!!!!!. And on top of that the RICE Was NOT SEASONED AT ALL! IF I WOULD HAVE TAKEN A BITE OF MY BURRITO WITH MY EYES CLOSED, I WOULD HAVE THOUGHT ITS ONLY TORTILLA AND LETTUCE IN HERE. THATS HOW BLAND THE RICE WAS. I WISH I WOULD HAVE PAID WITH CARD SO I CAN DISPUTE THIS AND I HAVE NEVERRRRRRRRR DISPUTED A FOOD ORDER. TO ANYBODY THAT WANTS A VEGGIE BURRITO THIS IS NOT THE SPOT. MAKE IT AT HOME AND USE THE $12.50 TO BUY THE INGREDIENTS. NOT WORTH THE VISIT I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND 😡🥵👎🙅⛔

I've been coming here since it opened. Today's got to be the worst service and food I ever got from the place. I called in in order and the lady on the phone was kind of rude and didn't tell him my total or anything and just hung up on me. The burrito wasn't like it normally is and the fish taco look like it was just thrown together. This place used to be a lot better in service and food quality.

If I can give zero stars I would! Not only is the business advertised as 24 hours, when you pull up it says the are open but really not. I was really looking forward to a late night snack and they turned me away. Change the business hours so we don't waste time!!!!!

Ok, what a fantastic small local find. I stopped in on a Saturday morning at 9am. I was seeking a meatless breakfast option and traditional Mexican sounded wonderful. The place is small, clean and the woman that greeted me was extremely outgoing and friendly. This restaurant went out of its way to cater Timmy dietary requests. I don't eat fried food so they subbed out the potatoes for extra rice and eggs. She was clearly doing all she could to accommodate me. It took about five minutes for them to make my food and it was hot and amazing. I have one more day in Vegas before heading back to Denver and I will have breakfast here again tomorrow morning. It's that good. If you are a local, you're lucky.

My go to place for Mexican food cause it's near OUR house and love eating there cause foods are great & customer service is friendly & courteous.

On Wednesday's only they have chicken tacos for $1.25 . The service is quick and food is consistently good. I normally order menudo on the weekends , crunchy tacos all day and the burritos are pretty big as well. Also open 24 hours.

This place is standard Mexican food. 24/7 convenience. It's not too different from the other 24/7 Mexican spite around town. They do have specials. So it's a good idea to capitalize on them. Today was chicken taco Wednesday. I decided to order the carne asada fries no carne. When I asked to add shrimp it was a $3 up charge.when I asked to not add carne-I did not receive a $3 credit. ANYWHO-this place is solid in comparison to the other Mexican spots.

We stopped by on the way to the lake. We ordered the carne asada meal and a side of two tacos. Sour cream is extra but there is limes,verde, etc on a little buffet style stand. Made to order so expect a slight wait. Everything was just decent.

Every time I'm in Vegas. I just gotta stop here and get me some carne asada. With so many things to choose from. You won't have to worry. Cause. The food is always good. There is a tiny salsa bar at the front counter that has limes, lemons, and different flavors of salsa. I love all the options. There are bottled and fountain drinks as well as horchata. And the best part is. They are open 24 hours. So far the only thing I didn't care for was the loud music being played in the kitchen and the even louder man singing to it. But. If you want dinner and a show. You get it all here. lol. That won't stop me from coming back because the food and prices are what keeps me going

Great service! Food was fresh and delicious. My fiancé is picky with eating out and his plate is cleaned off and he's full and happy so that's a plus. Restaurant was clean and food was ready fast!

This restaurant is horrible for customer service, the food will not be prepared to your diabetic restrictions , upon returning to have your food fixed correctly the older woman will argue with you concerning the way you originally ordered the food. This place is the worst when it comes to your order bring prepared correctly.. it's a sad shame when you have to go through so much grief just to have your burrito made without Beans

I will not be eating here again. The customer service was some of the worst I've ever had to deal with. It's almost as if they don't want you to eat there. From them taking the order wrong to ignoring me asking them to open the restroom several times. I'd say don't waste your time.

Update! This is my second visit here. I don't know if it was a coincidence that on my first visit here I ordered when I was alone. Second visit, my husband (who is half black, by the way) came with me. Anyway, we ordered the same as last time, Chilaquiles with no egg. I don't know if they think it's ridiculous to order chilaquiles with no egg or the fact that my husband, who is black, is with me, who is fair toned. *I've eaten at places that seem to single out people who come in by OBVIOUS STARING AND JUDGING just for being there. I think it's just happened to us AGAIN, in a different way. And last time it was at Tacos El Gordo by the way. Racist! Anyway, so as we waited patiently for our order, some 15 people ordered AFTER us & BEFORE we got our order. After about 10 Carne Asada Fries that came out after our order, we asked the lady at the register where our food was? She said it wasn't ready yet. Which to me, is obviously not true. I know this because I work with food and I know what takes longer to put together. It takes much more effort to build 10 Carne Asada Fries than it is to make 2 orders of Chilaquiles WITH NO EGG! Where in the world would it ever take a total of 45 minutes for a simple breakfast dish? Nowhere! If this happens to you, you're getting played! I just played! Let me just say this, she did not have a single care that we just waited half an hour while others were getting served before us. So, we decided to wait by the counter until our food was ready. As it should've been already anyway. After another 10 minutes, she slides us our order and didn't even say a word as she greets the next person in line. If I wouldn't have asked if it was ours, I wouldn't have even known. So rude! No thank you. No sorry. Not even an excuse for the wait. No nothing. We asked again why it took so long for us to get our food when we ordered before all those people? She said, "well next time you should call your order in!" That was just the most ridiculous thing I ever heard and honestly it was so unprofessional of her. Also, she did not apologize or compensate us for our wait in any way, like any other decent food establishment would have done. And I really hope the management here reads this and does some changes with the lack of care for those that work with customers on their customer service and total lack of compassion. And not for me particularly, but for the sake of others because I will not come back here again. So much better than robertos! I've been coming here since I was a little kid, the food is fresh and piping hot. The cheese melts beautifully on their food. I love eating here and smothering my food with their delectable green sauce. The horchata that they serve is sweet and smooth. The Jamaica is my favorite, I always grab a cup when I go. It's a favorite of mine and whenever I get an itch for some crunchy rolled tacos I make my way to this place. :)

I've been coming here for years and I loved be it. I always get the carne asada fries, nachos, or the plate. I always have special directions (sour cream in the side, no pico de gayo, etc) and they always get it right. Every once in a while they don't put as much meat, or it doesn't taste as good. But I have never gotten sick or had any real problems. I love that it's open 24/7. Overall I love this place and will continue to go there.

Pretty basic Mexican food, nothing special. If you have a special request, don't expect them to get it right. Plenty of other options nearby where you can get the same mediocre food.

I would've given no stars. Placed an order and they left off some items didn't realize until I get home went back up there to get the items that they left off and since I had ordered nachos I asked if they replace the nachos as well because they were too soggy now. They spoke perfect English when I told them they left an item off but when it came to replacing the nacho all the sudden they didn't understand English. Then laughed at me as they only knew the word what. They are very racist to anyone that doesn't speak Spanish. Would not go back

This taco shop is right around the corner from our house. We always go there to grab food when we want something quick and affordable. I do not eat meat so I always get their shrimp burrito and it is really delicious.

The restaurant is dirty. The food that I brought home was spoiled and smelled bad. Even though I wasted my money, I threw it in the trash and will NEVER go back.

First and last time I'll ever eat here. The carne asada was sooooo hard it hurt my teeth!! On both things we bought! We got a taco salad and burrito and both of us couldn't even eat it all! It was also very bland and I asked for extra pico and I think she even charged me for it but I didn't get extra! I barely got any! Sucks that I now have to go buy lunch again somewhere else

Called in 2 burritos with carne asada, sour cream, guacamole and cheese to go. No problemo right! Downside, the only heard one burrito, and had one burrito, so we just paid for the one and left. Burrito and ingredients were very good. The burrito was on the small side, but it was only $5.40, so not too bad. Will I be back, yes, will I make sure I triplicate my order, yes. The red sauce (on the side) too hot.

Called to make a pickup order and was told about 10-15 mins. I go inside to pick it up and the order is incorrect. I ask to re-order my original order and I was told no multiple times because "this was my order." Even though they got the order wrong.

So I got off work super hungry and I came by Viva el taco to grab some carne asada fries. When I ordered it the lady said $8.43 but instead I got charged 9.43. When I asked her why did I get charged another dollar she said oh you got a drink. And I had to tell her I never asked for a soda?! She didn't even say sorry she just kept going with the order so I decided to say fuck it I'll just get the soda and wait for my food. Usually when I order carne asada fries it'll take about maybe 10 mins? But they got my food done within 5 mins and I was wondering why they were quick but just pushed that thought aside. So I come home about to eat my food and the fries were super soggy. It looked like it sat out for awhile and they tried to heat up the fries again. I was pretty disappointed and disgusted to the point I couldn't eat it again because it didn't taste good.

Why wont anyone make a decent burrito anymore? Got a burrito to go, supposed to have guacamole in it but all it had was meat and pico. People were nice and hot sauce was ok. Probably won't go again.

Food here is OK. It's like a Robertos. I don't usually buy dinner here 99% of the time all I buy is breakfast burritos and those are good so I give 4 stars. Staff is friendly but then again I've been here so many times they know me already. If you want some breakfast burritos I recommend it.

Me and my bf would come here all the time, he would get the super nachos and me the carne asada fries. One night when we ate our food I noticed the meat tasted a little off so I was reluctant to eat anymore. My boyfriend finishes his and then next day we both woke up with what seems to be TERRIBLE FOOD POISONING. We were both vomiting all day going through HELL and we both experienced the same exact thing and it was terrible. We were not sick at all before coming here and both the nachos and fries share the carne asada. Sad, but will NEVER be returning again.

They got new tables, so the sticky issue is gone. Still not California Mexican food, but it's 24 hours and right next to my apartment. The weekday specials are a steal. Coke products, small salsa bar with cucumbers and limes.

Carne asada had fat chewy pieces in every bite ! And to top it off i found a hair in my food. Do not recommend. And definitely not better than robertos

Ill say its Delicious. Ordered a Carne Asada Burrito. Its a little pricier than other locations. It came out fast and fresh. The Carne Asada was fresh and moist. I got it loaded with Guac and Pico De Gallo. The Staff was friendly and speak good english so no worries with a language barrier. The Menu is expansive with Breakfast,And Lunch/Dinner items. Nice Seating area. And The restuarant is spotless which is always a good indication of how the food will taste.

They missed my drinks, forks and tortillas. We asked for guacamole on the side and got a heaping amount just thrown on top. Employees weren't using gloves and just man handling all the food with their dirty hands. My torta was good tho

My wife and I have eaten here several times before, and each time previous the food was fast, cheap, and delicious. Sure, it's named differently but anyone who is anyone in Vegas knows it's the exact same food and menu as a Roberto's. That's not my issue, however. My problem is the last two times we went, it was late at night since my wife works a late swing shift. I'm not sure how the training works for these franchises, but aside from the questionable customer service, I can assume proper food handling and safety is not a part of the training and I will explain why based on what I saw with my own eyes. We go in to order, and the cook, who was also working the register, was busy taking care of a big order before us. He pauses to take our order, without ringing us up and continues to finish the order before us. After 10-15 minutes since we entered, he finished the first order and continues to work on ours. Shortly after, he finishes our food and comes to cash us out. We went to pay with card but he told us he didn't know how to work the register or the card machine. He suggested us returning the next day to pay, which was a bit off to us both. Now I mentioned questionable customer service, and it honestly can be overlooked if it wasn't for the fact that while he was working on our food, he was not wearing gloves, and he had open cuts on his hand which were bleeding as he was making our food and touching the register(and believe me when I say these cuts were deep enough to visibly see the blood) . It completely made us both sick to our stomachs and we had to leave. We don't want to go back there knowing someone is bleeding all over our food, it's just unfortunate since the times we ate there previously everything was good, which is why Im giving a fair 2 stars out of 5.

Called in my order at 1:07, arrived around 1:30 and they hadn't even started my order. What's the point of calling ahead if i still have to wait 15 minutes for my food. Food was very bland. Don't waste your time or money. You're better of going to taco bell

My review is for their carne asada fries. This is the only reason why I come here. They serve it in large portions with heaping amount of carne asada and it's so GOOD. The staff is usually nice. I think they probably look confused because their english is limited. I've also tried their fish tacos, carne asada burrito and tacos. The fish taco was not good at all. No flavor. The carne asada burrito was a 6/10. I've had better and same goes for the tacos.

The food is always alright. However the service after hours are the worst. The gentleman who works grave shift is very rude. In some cases I work a later shift and just want some quick food. Sometimes I call ahead to order and the guy is always hanging up on me. I'd rather drive the extra 10 minutes to the Lamb location for better service.

I would recommend this place great service and great food. We came here with our service dog and had no problem. Sometimes spanish places are not aware of the service dog laws and give us a hard time with our dog. The cashier was super friendly and very knowledgeable.

I've lived many places that have great mexican food and this place is worse than a taco truck. The lady that helped me didn't speak English so it was very difficult to order and then get my order. I ordered 2 rolled taco specials and told them I didn't want the drinks that came with the combos I wanted to pay for 2 large horchatas. When it came time to pick up she said there was no more horchata, and I pointed at the machine and said there it is right there. She gave me 1 horchata and gave me a small cup and a dollar. WTF? I live 2 min walking distance fr this hole. Never going back.

I've been going to this place for ten years, that's why it's unbelievable that I'm STILL DISCRIMINATED against everytime I visit this place. I'm over charged served horrible food and portions, refused service and several other times the owner has threatened to contact the police. If this is the 'way' on the Eastside Vegas then there is a huge news story about how people are treated with consistently threatening them with police authority it's FRIVOLOUS, ILLEGAL AND WITHOUT REASON not to mention a waste of tax payer money to pay for our own torment! This is crazy !!!!

I love there carne asada fries with soda. what a steal and it taste authentic than other place. if looking for a cheap fast food Mexican (haha) viva el taco is the way to go!!!

I absolutely love this place. Their carne asada plate, carnitas, and shrimp diabla are all delicious! My mother usually gets the diabla or mojo shrimp. I personally love the quesadillas here. I know that may sound weird but I love me a good cheesy and crispy quesadilla when I see one. Especially when you want something quick or late night because they're open 24 hours. Best little Mexican joint on Lake Mead. I live in Cali and go to this restaurant every time I'm in Vegas.

We ate here on a Saturday afternoon, the restaurant was not packed. Waiters were pretty busy they took our drink orders very promptly but we had to ask for chips and salsa because it seemed like they were trying to keep up with all of the customers. The food was pretty good. Everyone was very friendly and helpful.
