First time at this restaurant. Greatly enjoyed the food and service. Great outdoor seating. The Vivace Manhattan was excellent. Great flavor and cook on the pasta dishes. The menu offers up some tasty looking options. We will be back to try some other dishes.

One of the finest meals we've had in Tucson ... and that's saying something. From the simple but elegant tables and decorations, to the superb wait staff -- attentive but not bothersome, to the superb food (well, with one teensie weensie exception) ... and the views (both from the Southern 'lower dining room' to the Northern 'upper dining room and patio ... this is a simply wonderful place to eat, to dine, to enjoy each other's company. My wife adored the Veal Piccata. I thought that meatballs and marinera sauce were the VERY BEST in Tucson (although I think I would have preferred the linguine to the penne that I ordered). AND the "Birthday Creme Brulee" was superb. We liked the Birthday Creme Brulee so much we ordered a 'standard' Creme Brulee. Again, it was great (and for only $10.00!!!) but they had not flamed the maple sugar long enough, and so there was some graininess of the unmelted sugar on the bottom of the caramelized topping. This was one, every so slight, blemish, in what was an all-around magnificent dinner. (Sorry, Google will not allow me to upload photos taken with my iPhone.)

Love this place! It was our first time here ...Sat out on back patio, which was lovely. All the food and drinks were excellent! Try the super garlicky escargot! We also enjoyed the stuffed pork chop, seafood lasagna and grilled sea bass.

Google
Very nice restaurant. Friendly waitress. Bartender saw us standing behind a crowded bar and he personally walked up to my husband and I and took our order. His drinks were 100% well made and served! Dinner was delicious as well as dessert! We got the meatballs Alfredo, penne sausage for dinner. We tried all the desserts and they were all tasty. The wine selection was excellent and the waitress recommend a wonderful Italian red wine! Highly recommend when visiting Tucson

Google
From the outside, it really dors look like an Italian villa. When we walked in, it did as well. It was a quality experience for my cousin and I. We were celebrating my birthday. We are half Italian and appreciate good quality food. This restaurant delivered that and more. The food, the service, and the atmosphere made all the difference in the world. The entrée was delicious, the bread they served was as well, and the desserts were absolutely delicious. We had the crème brûlée and the lemon mousse dessert. If you want a quality experience with the atmosphere of Italy, please visit them.

First off let me start by saying the entire experience at Vivace was amazing. It started off a bit rocky because of a traffic issue, we were not going to make our 5:00pm reservation. We were coming from out of town and a train parked across the tracks required an additional 35 minute detour. Well a quick call to Vivace and our issue was resolved by a very pleasant young lady that pushed our reservation back to 5:30. After we arrived we were seated immediately, the restaurant was full, after all it was Saturday evening. Our server Elise was great she engaged with us in friendly banter that was much appreciated after a stressful nearly two hour drive. Our drinks and delicious warm bread was served as we looked over the menu. Our salads arrived soon after we ordered and they were delicious. Our meals arrive in a reasonable amount of time and everyone in our party was pleased with their choices. I had the stuffed pork chop, absolutely amazing. Elise made some dessert suggestions and she was spot on. This was our parties first visit to Vivace and it won't be our last.

Google
Attended a hosted event and the chosen menu was delicious. I ordered the chicken, daughter ordered that salmon and my nephew ordered the steak. All three were phenomenal. Coffee and tea were fresh and the creme brulee was the best I've ever had. I went during the day and saw beautiful mountain views. Would like to go at night to see the entire menu as well as the city views.

Google
We loved our experience at Vivace so much! The food was so delicious and fresh. The service was friendly and very attentive. The view overlooking Tucson was excellent. Both the main course and desserts, especially the bread pudding was the best I've had in a long time. We can't wait to go back to enjoy sitting outside. Theopolis and Martina Pace Green Valley, AZ

Yelp
5 star all the way!! Such a gem for Tucson!!!! Try the piccata or the soufflé! Can't recommend Vivace's higher it is truly the best!

Yelp
Wonderful food, beautiful atmosphere, great service! A special place to enjoy with friends!

Yelp
We still don't get the hype. We went for my birthday and were seated in a very full dining room with nice views and a nice enough server. She was busy so our service was slow. Dinner for both of us was just okay. Husband had the stuffed shrimp which that he qualified as unremarkable, with bland, uninteresting sauce - he wouldn't order it again. I had the penne with sausage, it wasn't bad, it just wasn't really good. In our view, a real 5-star restaurant should have both outstanding food and service. This had neither. Best part of the meal was the comped dessert but the meal and the experience were not memorable.

Yelp
I started writing this review a few weeks back and never finished! My husband and I went here at the end of January in a Friday night. I called before and was able get in a last minute reservation which I was happy about. That changed after being seated and having preeeetty slow service. The server was so great and I believe trying her best, but it really affected the experience to be sitting for such long periods. One thing I really appreciated though was how helpful she was. I asked for a mock tail and after asking me what I liked (sweet and fruity), she said she'd have the bartender whip up something. The drink she brought back had a grapefruit flavor. When she asked about it, I let her know and she brought back something to mix jn which helped a little. She was really adamant about me liking it and let me know that if I didn't, she would take it back for a new one. I told her it was fine. This kind of service really helps when experiencing other lows like mentioned above. Anyway, last time I ate here I really liked my meal and it was over a year ago so I thought I'd try it again. The chicken risotto for me and stuffed mushrooms appetizer. The stuffed mushrooms were okay and the risotto dish disappointed. There were crunchy bits. My husband got a pasta that he felt lacked flavor, however I liked it, a lot better than my dish. Overall a disappointing experience from a restaurant I previously held in high regard.

Yelp
First timer for friend's birthday luncheon. Ambiance and setting is bright, airy, large high ceilinged wood accented dining room with open courtyard, and bar right as you enter. There were several steps to enter if that's a hindrance for mobility, not sure if there is a walk around ramp. Large parking lot for easy parking. Service was great, 2 baskets (5 of us) of very fresh, crusty, warm and pillowy chewy white bread, like a French loaf actually, draped in white napkins with a well balanced basil garlic aoili without the garlic burn but plenty of its flavor, came out quickly. It was delightful and nourishing as we awaited our fifth guest. 5/5 Prices sting for Lunch so go big and have leftovers for 2nds ;) !! Waiter rec the Chicken Marsala $23.95 over the Seafood Mushrooms/salad $21.95 in part as more substantial and one of his faves. Although Marsala definitely present, I found the sauce with mushrooms to be a little light in depth and thought vegetable noodles meant the noodle was made of veggies. Instead slivers of snow peas and carrots laced the noodles like an Americanized stir fry oddly. Would much preferred a side of steamed veg vs the noodle sprinkling. My mind kept reading lo-mein haha. The noodles were delicate and likely house made which was a pleasant plus and I took a demi portion home with the leftover bread/ aoili :) Didn't check off my hankering for Chix Marsala so Rating 3/5* Tasted friend's Shrimp Crab Cakes $23.50 but not salad. Lovely crisp exterior, tad fishy but she loved them and also got creme bruleed on house for her birthday, nice touch with spoons all around. Vivace would be a special occasion spot that I may re-visit but with several others to try, Round 1 may not have been impressive enough to overcome the price point and jaunt from Vail.

Yelp
amazing italian food with a great view of tucson, perfect for any celebration! Haven't had anything here I don't like. The service is great and everything is delicious.

Yelp
Went to celebrate 2 birthdays, Everything was amazing! Great service from Kendra J. started with the Spinach and cheese souffle and escargot with artichoke, both were really good. entrees we had stuffed pork chop cooked to perfection, chicken and asparagus risotto was creamy, delicious with just the right amount of firmness in the rice. I had the Veal Picatta which was tender and seasoned perfect. Can't wait to go again and enjoy the great people, food and view.

Yelp
Great Italian food but much more traditional. The ambiance is so pretty here as the restaurant looks over the whole city. The Caesar salad was delicious, however the seafood soup seemed like it needed more spice or flavor. It is a large dish and great for sharing. The chocolate lava cake was great and definitely worth the wait. Make sure you plan ahead with reservation.

Yelp
Anniversary dinner. Always amazing! Great service and beautiful old French Bostro Ambiance. Great to be back. See pics for story...

Yelp
Located in the foothills, surrounded by beautiful mountain views, is Vivace. Totally recommend making reservations in advance as many people celebrate special events, including me and my husband (our anniversary). They were very busy on a Saturday night, so the server and service was slower. The food was good, they cooked my scallops well, but it didn't blow my mind. They did bring us out a crème brûlée to share for our anniversary, which was a nice touch. It's definitely a nicer restaurant to dine out for celebrations.

Yelp
Came in for our anniversary dinner. This restaurant is located directly across from La Encantada mall and sits high up. There are city views from the inside of the restaurant but if you want outdoor seating, there's garden and mountain views. The inside is nice and spacious with many windows. Best thing about our dinner here was definitely the service. Our waitress was so friendly and gave us wonderful service. Her name was Jameela and you could tell she cared about giving you the best dinner experience. We started with soup of the day which was shrimp bisque. It was very good! Next, we ordered an appetizer (a baked soufflé). It wasn't very tasty, as it just tasted like egg and cheese sauce. It was lacking something! Next, we shared a Caesar's salad and it was good. For entrees, we ordered the meatballs and beef tenderloin. Meatball dish was super cheesy and meatballs were practically tasteless. The beef tenderloin was tasty. For our anniversary, they brought us creme brulee & THAT was delicious! Overall, the food was average.

Michael M.

Yelp
It started with the hostess. There was no greeting, acknowledgment, nothing, just a blank stare. She must be the owners daughter, because with a personality like that anybody else would have been fired a long time ago. Then there was the food. The caesar salad was just awful. The branzino was an oily mess. The rice tasted like it came from a hospital food tray. This was the absolute worst meal I have ever been served. Our waitress and beverage servers were pleasant. On the way out, once again, there was no "thank you" "goodbye" or any type of acknowledgment. No more vivace for us.

Yelp
We came here for dinner last night (a Wednesday in September), and the food was hit or miss. I really enjoyed two of the appetizers we tried: the escargot with artichokes and the seafood-stuffed mushrooms. The burrata was just okay. However, there were only four pieces of escargot, and the rest of the dish was mostly artichokes. The crab-stuffed chicken was a bit plain but also felt too rich and heavy. The salmon was overly buttery, and while the spinach was bitter, the shrimp topping was delicious. I had two Passionate Saints during the meal. The first, made by the regular bartender at the beginning, was excellent--nicely balanced, not too sweet or spicy. The second, made later by a different bartender, tasted off and wasn't nearly as good. As for the other drinks, the Negroni wasn't as bitter as usual and leaned slightly sweet, which I didn't care for. The Purple Haze had a bitter taste that I didn't enjoy, and the Flirtini, unfortunately, reminded me of medicine.

Yelp
Vivace never disappoints. In fact we tried a month ago to get a reservation for Valentine's Day and they were already booked so we went the day before. We both ordered different dishes that were amazing. I'm beginning to wonder if the chefs there ever strike out? I know I haven't seen it. The service was as wonderful as usual. We were seated facing the city and the mountains. So beautiful. We have never been seated at that place and I think it's my favorite because of the views. With a lot of places lacking in service and big prices for food that is not good. We decided Vivace is the best and will continue to come here.

Yelp
We joined two friends on a Wednesday expecting a slow day. Were we surprised when the parking lots were totally full due to a large patio party. We got an excellent window table on the lower floor. Two of us enjoyed our spinach salad starter. For the main course the wife and I both ordered the Veal Picatta while the other couple ordered the King Salmon and the Pork Parmigiano. We all (mainly I) devoured the bread and pesto oil dip which was graciously refilled multiple times. I ordered a glass of the Spanish Tempranillo which was the only disappointment for the evening. The bottle must have been open for a day or so. We were pleased with the veal dish, both the portion size and the lemon caper sauce. The veal could have used a few seconds less time on the stove. The vegetable pasta was excellent. The other couple were satisfied with their choices, especially the salmon. We all had the white chocolate ice cream. I forgot to take several pictures. The service throughout our meal was excellent. Our waitress was perfect.

Yelp
Amazing service and good food. I wish we had been seated by the window overlooking the great view. It was our first time there, and I chose to have dinner there for my birthday. For a Wednesday night, the place was full. That's why a reservation is a must. They also have a dress code. It was a pleasant experience overall. I will definitely return.

Yelp
My wife and I went here for my birthday. They hooked us up with a great table with an excellent view over the valley. The server was friendly and professional and answered all questions easily. The food was great and had enough to take home for another meal. High;y recommended for a special night out but reasonable enough to eat anytime!

Yelp
Everyone is understaffed, so I always appreciate the service staff who are working. Remember they're busy because they're good. This restaurant still has that old time feel it's a definite classic type vibe. It's in the sense of good food and high quality. It has that atmosphere of any old school restaurant in any major city. You walk in and the restaurant has a very nice. You're a nice atmosphere. There are great views if you can get em. I was dining alone and early and I found that there is a seat at the bar. Vivace established in 1993 So they have been open for over 30 years. They serve Northern Italian Cuisine. I have been there several times probably four over the last few years and i'm always Is impressed by the staff the bartenders and the consistency and good quality of the food. They have great Cocktails and wonderful wine list. They have great appetizers and salads that can make for a wonderful lunch or light dinner Every main course is served with style and grace, from pasta, to Fish to steaks. It's a fine dining experience.

Yelp
Fantastic menu so many choices. I asked for pasta off the menu and they accommodated me. The portions are very big and I had such a good time. I forgot to photograph my food, but trust me all three of us enjoyed our meals and next time I'm in Tucson, I will go back. It's a beautiful restaurant and you can hear very well as the tables are spaced apart.

Yelp
Lunch at Vivace was outstanding on Friday! The shrimp and crabcakes are awesome. And the service was the best - extremely personal and friendly!

Yelp
Some of Tucson's finer dining, with a hilltop view, exemplary service, and an extensive wine list. If you call yourself a foodie and you live in Tucson, you have to give it a try! What I loved: The complimentary bread and pesto is outstanding and really sets the tone. Overall, there's no mistaking the high quality of the entrees, either. I had a pork chop, stuffed with fontina and spinach. Perfectly fried and sitting in a salty, rich demi-glace. Also tried my girlfriend's crab-stuffed chicken--the seafood is clearly a cut above the rest here. What I liked: A variety of memorable desserts, particularly their take on spumoni, with walnut gelato replacing what would usually be pistachio. The creme brulee was straight lavish--the taste was so brilliant I forgave them for not torching it long enough. The cocktails are really nifty too, they're pricey as your average high-end craft cocktail bar, but also come with a neat little bonus reservoir containing a second helping. Just one white negroni and I was buzzed. What needs work: Dishes are missing a bit of a kick. I should have taken the hint when servers offered freshly-cracked black pepper while presenting our dishes, and I still kick myself as I write this review for refusing! This place has the stuffiest of boomer clients and I heard one complain about the black pepper being too spicy, so I get it. Also? The cocktails portions are generous, but they are actually not that good--there was nothing in the white negroni to substitute for some campari so the whole thing tasted like peach schnapps. Overall, the heavy-hitting cast of entrees are so good they'll make you forget about the less important aspects of your experience. Come here for a date night, or when you just want to feel classy!

Yelp
Delicious food and great service. I was sat behind a column so I didn't have much of a view, would have loved to sit outside or by a window, as it's otherwise kind of dreary in the restaurant. Food was absolutely outstanding. I would 100% return again/recommend as one of the better Italian restaurants in Tucson. Would love some more options for non alcoholic beverages as well. They do have one mocktail on their menu and 3-4 soft drinks to choose from, none of which were drinks I would/did enjoy.
google avatar

Lila T.

Yelp
another great dinner at Vivace! The soup of the day was great, with red peppers and mushrooms. I love the consistency and the service at Vivace. A lot of restaurants can have inconsistent food or service but Vivace keeps the same quality of food and service. This is what makes us coming back! 3rd time here, and will be returning! The tiramisu is my favorite I have ever tried from an italian restaurant, it's also always a big piece! Such a beautiful place you can't go wrong here!
google avatar

Charlie T.

Yelp
Want to pay 5 times as much for a menu that looks like an over priced olive garden had a baby with a cheese cake factory then this is the place for you! Honestly, Ive been to nearly every nice resturant in town. I gotta say you can get better and more authentic Italian food elsewhere. They have the same menu as every other high end resturant in town its just more expensive probably to cover the owners property taxes. Nothing special or interesting. I was bored. The service was great though even though place looked was the cheesecake factories older cousin.
google avatar

Yelp
Always our favorite restaurant- service, food, outside patio . There is no better place in Tucson.

Yelp
It always delivers the best food, service and bubbly!!! The soufflé was the best! The bread and olive oil pesto sauce is fire!

Yelp
Trace, the server was excellent. The food was outstanding and my wife and I had their Seaba special and it was the most delicious dish I've had for a long long time. I highly recommend this place. The service is great and the patio is wonderful.

Yelp
Wonderful food and service!! Plates are big enough portions to share. Very fancy !!! Lovely interior and exterior

Jim H.

Yelp
We went there (as we do every year) for my wife's birthday. We usually go once every couple of months but always for my wife's birthday. The hostess was extremely helpful and asked if we wanted a window seat by the courtyard? As we usually sit facing the south windows we said yes and she sat us a perfect table against the large courtyard window. Service and food was excellent as always. One of our favorites in Tucson area.
google avatar

Steve R.

Yelp
My favorite restaurant is no longer a favorite. I've enjoyed many meals there and have always brought my visitors to enjoy this restaurant. Until today. My guest and I were seated next to a table of 10 very loud and boisterous individuals who were drinking. I asked to seated in a quiet area. There were many tables empty and available in the much quieter main dining area. The waiter went to check for me about seating, the hostess appeared and very bluntly said they were busy and it is going to be noisy and there were no other tables available. Basically - take it or leave it. At that point we had already placed our orders with the waiter and felt obligated to remain. And we did. But we couldn't hear each other over the noise from this large party that increased in proportion to the alcohol being consumed. We ate quickly, skipped dessert and departed an hour after we arrived, and left passing through the still half empty main dining room. An unnecessarily ruined lunch with a friend, and the loss of a longtime customer. It's not what we've come to expect from Vivace

Yelp
great food with a beautiful view. the parking lot is a bit crumbly, but inside is really nice
google avatar

Genevieve M.

Yelp
Every time I come get the food is impeccable in flavor and consistency. The kitchen staff have it down to an art! My favorite is the Crab filled Breaded Chicken Breast... there are no words that can describe this dish but if I have to... buttery and comfort would be on the list. The Fruit Napoleon was nothing like I've had before with crunch and sweet cream and fruit... But any dessert on their menu can transport you to sugar land. In addition to the excellent food, the panoramic views of the city and outdoor dining options with the mountains as backdrops is an extra plus. Reservations highly recommended as they book out weeks in advance for prime dinner times. Complimentary valet parking available.

Yelp
Had not been here since it was Anthony's! Visiting Tucson, invited sister in law and niece to join us for dinner. Gracious hostess seated us, and we were immediately offered drinks. Crusty bread served. Started with the antipasto for 2, which was plenty for 4. Nice assortment of tasty nibbles, with more grilled crusty bread! Wife had rib eye meatballs and fettuccine Alfredo. Tasted good, but didn't care for the soft texture. I had the pork parmigiana, and enjoyed it. Generous serving of the pork, and a mound of absolutely delicious vegetable pasta. Just the right amount of fresh tasting marinara sauce. I had a chilled glass of the house sweet Vivace red wine. With the rich antipasto and meat meal, it was refreshing and bright! The other 2 ladies highly enjoyed their meals. Rib eye meatballs, and a 4 cheese manicotti. Pacing by the great server was perfect, we never felt rushed or neglected. Decided to have dessert. Wife is a Spumoni addict, so had their version. Good, but not her favorite. Other to ladies devoured their creme brulee, so I guess it was delicious. I had the bread pudding, and really liked it, made with croissants, which were a nice touch. Overall we highly enjoyed our meal. Ambience was perfect for us, nice decor and layout. View of the city was really a special treat! All the staff were excellent!!! Highly recommend this restaurant, a great place to meet with friends or family.

Yelp
Update: I helped a friend sell his daughters RAV4 that was left behind when she left the USA. Craigslist posting , underpriced it by 1000. And a 1000 over the sight unseen offer from the Paid bluebook appraisal. Best 5.00 ever spent. Anyway this was the thank you dinner for the father, uncle and me for a all expense paid dinner. The dinner was a special for all of us and we didn't hold back. Ok, we skipped desert. Excellent, and and spot to come back to.

Dennis D.

Yelp
Wonderful place. I asked for an off menu dinner item and they were very eager to accommodate. The staff were simply unbelievable! Thank you Mr. Scordato.

Stephanie C.

Yelp
Ordered the vegan bolognese and it was totally worth it. So thankful for this delicious meal and the vegan Parmesan to top it off.

Casey M.

Yelp
Went here because they have a vegan bolognese on the menu for my spouse! I had the four cheese manicotti and it was fantastic. Service was a bit slow (compared to others around us in particular), but they were quite busy. Ambiance is classy, but I didn't feel out of place.

Yelp
Surprisingly, first time here. Beautiful Italian restaurant located North side of Tucson. Staff were friendly! The manager was welcoming and kindly brought me to my dinner table to enjoy my night with my girls. This restaurant is perfect for date nights, girls night, and family dinner. Great selection of food- from appetizers to salads and to the main course. Stuffed mushrooms were delicious! A must if you like mushrooms. I enjoyed my Veal (Osso Buco). Veal shanks in vegetable tomato sauce with polenta. To finish off, of course tiramisu and crème brûlée had to be ordered. Delicious desserts! Tiramisu is exceptional here. The balance of espresso and sweetness from the custard was well prepared.

Margaret J.

Yelp
Great food and service. They use butter with everything. We had snails, salad, and three entrees. Everything was perfect.

Camila G.

Yelp
This place is amazing. Food was so delicious. Service was incredible. The view and the ambiance was excellent. I ordered 4 cheese manacottu it was great.

Ana Celia H.

Yelp
A Tucson classic, every single dish we have tried is created with high quality ingredients and simply delicious. Waiters are amazing, and attentive all the time. Depending on the time you can hear people enjoying their meals as a background noise without being too much. Definitely a must try when in Tucson.

Yelp
What a wonderful establishment. I have dined here twice and plan to come back. I took my sister here for a Birthday brunch on Valentine's day . She loved it. Service is exceptional with delightful food for sure. It's worth to $$ point for its views and pleasant atmosphere and great food. One of Tucsons best Italian fare. Give it a try. Reservations are a must and plan ahead.

Yelp
This defines fine dining in Tucson! Greeted by the owner, and seated at a table with a magnificent view of the sunset, and then the lights of Tucson at night. Wait staff was attentive and professional- did not interrupt conversation. Appropriately quiet; just a beautiful and elegant environment. The starters, mains, and desserts exceeded expectations- the scallops were in a delicate cream sauce that was perfectly balanced. And they were clearly fresh and cooked perfectly- not overcooked like so many places do. Dessert portions were more than generous. The espresso gelato was clearly house-made. Overall I was impressed. I will d de definitely return. Multo Bene!!

Yelp
We recently dined at Vivace for a birthday celebration, and I highly recommend it for special-occasion dining! The food is excellent, the ambience and views are lovely, and the service is stellar. Before we even ordered, I was all in on the bread with pesto -- it's delicious! Do try to restrain yourself on it, though, because the menu is wonderful. We began with a Caesar salad, which is good but fairly generic, and the Escargot and Artichokes, which is fantastic! Vivace's escargot come drenched in garlic butter, paired with artichokes, gorgonzola cheese, and bread. This is a VERY rich appetizer, and one of the best escargot presentations I've eaten! Honestly, I was ready to order a second plate of this and call it a night! For our entrees, we got the Grilled Beef Tenderloin, which is served with Marsala wine sauce, grilled asparagus, and garlic mashed potatoes, and the Osso Buco, which came in a vegetable-tomato sauce with polenta. Both dishes were very good, very rich, and very large. We were happily stuffed! ...buuut we still made room for dessert: Spumoni and the Sorbetto of the Day! The lighter desserts were a sweet ending to a very decadent meal. I very much plan to keep Vivace on my list for the next time we're celebrating or treating ourselves!

Nunya B.

Yelp
The food at Vivace is not good. They do have a nice view, and the girls who work there have a lot of plastic surgery. We were appalled that his potatoes were instant, my mushrooms were reconstituted, and my pasta was cooked in bouillon, then tossed in butter. Gross. The escargot was not fresh, and the grilled chicken is just a boneless skinless breast that seemed to have been prepared on a George Foreman grill. Does Vivace not know better than to grill a boneless skinless chicken breast? If you want to grill a chicken, you need to leave the bones and skin on it. Furthermore, we made the reservation a few days in advance, but couldn't get anything after four or before eight. That's why we were annoyed when we arrived at 7:30 to find that they had several open tables. Could they not have given us a reservation for an earlier time so that we could have sat at one of the many open tables? When we arrived, they attempted to sit us at a cramped little table in the middle of the room, where one of the chairs was situated as such that it surely would've been bumped many times by the waitresses and patrons walking by. The hostess gave me a bit of a dirty look when I told her that we would like a different table, and then walked us over to another table that was just as bad. Cramped and in the middle of the room, surrounded by other better tables which were clearly available. I had to specifically ask her if we could sit at one of the other open tables that was not tiny and in the middle of the room. I wonder why they wanted us to sit at the bad tables and not the good tables, when they had several open and it was 7:30 PM on a Thursday night. I also found it impossible to speak to the hostess because she kept cutting me off and talking right over me, acting as if I didn't exist. My husband was the only person who was able to successfully speak to her. My husband told them when he made the reservation that it was my birthday, but they didn't do anything for us. The hype about this place is ridiculous.

Yelp
Sat at bar. Bartenders were super helpful and knowledgeable. Had filet, mussels, and stuffed mushrooms. Bread was really good. Loved the sauce on the filet. Cooked perfectly. Mussels were really tasty. Made great carajillos. Loved the ambience of the place. It is large and energetic but can be romantic.

Yelp
My family came together for a meal to celebrate the season. This is the first time I can say that absolutely everything was wonderful! From the pre dinner drinks in the bar, to dessert, we were treated with amazing hospitality. The drinks were perfect. Do try the Vivace Vesper; it will delight. We shared an escargot appetizer, along with the Grilled Asparagus and Parma Prosciutto and Fresh Burrata Served Two Ways. Delicious. I had the Eggplant Lasagna (Pasta Free) right from the menu (not a special order) for my main course. So scrumptious. Never imagined a gluten sensitive person (such as myself) could have dined so wonderfully at an Italian restaurant. On top of everything else, we had a beautiful view of city lights. Thank you Vivace for a truly special experience. A truer rating would be 10 out of five.

Yelp
Outstanding food, beautiful location and great service. We decided to go with the "fish of the day" that happened to be a Red Snapper with creamy risotto and and the Pork Parmigiano. The snapper was perfectly cooked and the pork wad drenched in a delicious tomato sauce. For dessert we ordered the chocolate molten cake, the Napolitana and the tiramisu, this last one was a little too sweet too creamy for my taste.
