LA’s Best Hot Dogs, From Chili Dogs to Bacon-Wrapped Hot Dogs | Eater LA

"This Colombian street food trailer by Viviana “Vivi” Henriquez is one of the few places in Los Angeles to get fresh arepas, loaded hamburgers, and sauced-up hot dogs. The maximalist street treat piles on onions, lettuce, tomato, crispy bacon, and broken ripio de papa (stick fries), and then receives a righteous smattering of five different sauces. It’s wonderfully messy, so grab napkins." - Eater Staff

The Valley’s Colombian Street Food Star Does Fresh Arepas and Saucy Hot Dogs - Eater LA

"The main attraction at the Colombian truck, Vivi’s Gourmet Cuisine, is the arepa rellena, a stuffed arepa. Originally from Cali, Colombia, Viviana “Vivi” Henriquez opened Vivi’s Gourmet Cuisine five years ago at the Northridge Farmers Market. In the months leading up to the pandemic, she moved into a trailer, initially gathering a loyal following of Venezuelans and Colombians. Having earned the trust of hesitant diners, Henriquez and her husband found a trailer to make their operation more mobile, dedicating it to the arepa rellena filled with traditional recipes from Cali. The trailer operates in Van Nuys, Reseda, Canoga Park, and down in Long Beach on different days with a concise menu of arepa rellenas, Colombian hot dogs, hamburgers, empanadas, chorizo, and finally dedo de queso (cheese sticks)." - Bill Esparza

Vivi catered our wedding party and did a phenomenal job. She suggested the chicken and mushrooms so we went with that and the salmon. Both were delicious as well as the salad, rice and salsa. All of our guests kept telling us that they loved the food. The setup was nice as well. She printed out a beautiful, personalized menu with both me and my husband’s name. She was also kind enough to box up any leftovers. Would definitely have her cater another one of my events and I’m sure many of my guests will be doing so in the future.

COLOMBIAN CUISINE IN THE SAN FERNANDO VALLEY!!!! Need I share more? Comfort food you must try- always prepared fresh and served hot. To avoid crowds- call in your order because it definitely is a popular spot. I recommend absolutely everything on the menu but top favorite are the burgers and “Bull dogs” aka hot dogs.

One of the best food trucks in the valley! Everything is reasonably priced and taste even more amazing, they always wear gloves when preparing meals and is very clean and neat.I would 100% recommend this food truck if you are near!

Google
It was very unpleasant my first and only time there is a food truck dirty! The burger with nothing 14 dollars, the stuffed arepa has almost nothing and the hot dogs are so small and just as expensive and greasy also the person in the cashier does not have good hygiene took the money and also cooked without gloves...my children are sick from eating there...I will report this dirty place!

Google
The best Colombian fast food in The Valley. Been coming here for years and Vivís never fails! Always delicious and not to mention great and CLEAN service, COVID compliant!

I always stop by whenever I’m staying at the Hampton Inn down the street. Their Arepas Con Queso are the closest resemblance of what I used to get from street vendors in Bogota. I highly recommend giving them a try when in the area

Yelp
I love South American food. Peruvian... delicious. Argentinean... delicious. I've even been to Bolivia and loved the food we had there. So it's with a sad heart that I write this mediocre review. My Mom and I each got their Arepa Rellena and found them to be kinda.... blah. Not bad, just bland. Each was served with a side of salsa that looked a lot like pico de gallo and another that was guacamole. The salsas were amazing!! Both had a spicey punch and the guacamole was good enough that I would have drunk it straight if I'd had a cup or two. So it was a little frustrating to look at this spectacular salsa and realize that without it the arepa was more task than joy. Why not serve the arepa with the salsa already mixed in? Or marinate the meat in the salsa? And each arepa was over $10. It was packed generously and I was more full than I expected once I was done, but I couldn't help thinking that for that price I could have had 6 al pastor street tacos and been far more full and FAR more satisfied. Maybe their Bulldogs, Columbian hotdogs, would have blown my mind but after a first impression like this, it's going to be a long time before I ever find out.

Yelp
Not 5 stars because of the service. The 2 people there were cold and dry, they almost seemed bothered by my ordering food. Such a shame because the empanadas are really good. I would have bought like 20 to take home, but by the time I got my order they gave it to me in a bag and didn't even want to give me a box, they guy just gave me another bag. I want to go back, but I hope whenever I go the service is better; like there was no reason to be like that, especially with another Colombian since we are so scarce in California lol it's a small colombian world out here.

Yelp
I have so many mixed feelings about this food truck. Their empanadas are pretty good, they definitely need to be a little more generous with the chicken or beef but overall they taste good. The arepas are definitely bland, it seems there's not even salt in the filling but once you put the salsas it gets better. I do love their frozen arepas, they are really good but unfortunately their customer service is just the worst, there was a time when I placed an order through whatsapp and they kept telling me "we don't have that" even thought they listed those items, finally placed my order and when I got home I realized they forgot my frozen arepas, I called them and they were so upset, they kept saying they packed the... I just had a baby, why would I get into the trouble of calling them and trying to go all the way back to get $10 or $15 dollars of arepas free and waste about and additional 30 minutes? Finally they said well come back and we will give you the arepas. After this, I have gone a few additional times and luckily they now have an ipad for you to place your order so you don't actually have to interact with their lack of customer service but that definitely shadows the overall experience. Completely agree with the review that says theat they were cold and dry. A basic customer service course would come in very handy.
