Hurricane Maria in Puerto Rico: Food Relief, Recovery, and Other Updates | Eater

"As the Coliseo kitchen was closed, World Central Kitchen opened a new production facility at Vivo Beach Club in Carolina (just east of San Juan); volunteers at the Vivo Beach Club replaced the Coliseo’s role by preparing meals for daily delivery via food truck to reach harder-hit and remote communities." - Eater Staff

Attended part of the bad bunny vip event and it was nice. They have a small photo backdrop. They sell food and drinks on site. The beach is stunning there. The pool could’ve been cleaner and DJ could’ve been better.

As a destination wedding photographer in Puerto Rico, I had never experienced Vivo Beach Club as a wedding vendor, only as a civilian. Recently I covered the documentation of the wedding decorator and was absolutely blown away by the amenities and facilities. It was absolutely stunning everywhere you looked and would wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone looking to get married in Puerto Rico.

Excellent place to enjoy the afternoon and evening. Food, drinks and music will keep you coming back. A Raw bar, located on the first floor is a must visit. Many new bilingual employees have been hired. Returned in August. It has totally been upgraded. The second floor can rented out for Weddings and private events. Went two days, 1st day Monique, was my server. She is bilingual and went above and beyond to help me out! A true professional!. Amanda made awesome drinks! Second day, Joan was my server and bartender. She is bilingual and nice a job with the drinks

Here for the Bad Bunny Vibee pool party and it was so much fun. We did the upstairs part and had a ball.

This place treats a public beach like it’s their private empire, enforcing made-up rules that shift depending on who you smile at. You can’t rent a chair or umbrella unless you buy an overpriced “pass” - which includes nothing. But smile the right way, and suddenly $20 in cash gets you a setup — no receipt, no record. An hour later, someone else comes over saying you’re not allowed to be there after all. No refund. No explanation. Just, “get up.” I paid for the chair and the cocktail - and now I’m not allowed to sit or sip? When I politely asked what was going on, a huge guy came over, rude and borderline threatening, talking down to us like we were trying to steal something. Congratulations, dude - your day was a success. You saved two beach chairs and an umbrella from two women. Must feel good. This place is shady, poorly run, and absolutely not worth your time. If you don’t want people using your facilities, say so. Don’t play these petty, manipulative games. The owner should seriously consider changing the management.

Love this place! Fun in the sun. Food, swimming pools, music, a concert stage, and the beach is right there.

Saw this place online through their website. Cost for a day pass was noted as $40 per person. We planned a visit on our cruise stop. Went to check in after the taxi dropped us off. Was informed the cost was $80 per person. Host apologized and said website was old. Talked to a “manager” and he said there was nothing he could do. His explanation for the website said it was old and was offline (which it is now - probably because of people coming here thinking it was $40). He kept blaming Google AI and was stood fast on nothing he could do even though we were only going to be here for 3 hours (needed to get back to boat). So best call and don’t believe the website.
