Hurricane Maria in Puerto Rico: Food Relief, Recovery, and Other Updates | Eater

"As the Coliseo kitchen was closed, World Central Kitchen opened a new production facility at Vivo Beach Club in Carolina (just east of San Juan); volunteers at the Vivo Beach Club replaced the Coliseo’s role by preparing meals for daily delivery via food truck to reach harder-hit and remote communities." - Eater Staff

December 8th, 2025 The beach club was super relaxing and we enjoyed several pools, as well as some private beach time. When you get there take your pick of spots around the pools or get a beach chair set out for you on the beach. All sand beach with no rocks and beautiful water. A waiter will attend to your needs including OceanLab beer, cocktails, and food. Food was reasonably priced, and decent quality. The staff was incredible and super nice. We arrived when they opened at 11 and basically had the place to ourselves for an hour. The club is across the street from the airport, so expect often, at some times loud plane traffic. As of this posting The main Oceanlab building is under construction and off limits, however there are several bars serving Oceanlab beer and cocktails that are accessible. $5 Parking, plenty of spaces available. $80 Per person day pass including as many towels as you need as well as access to the changing rooms and lockers. (Our nephew under 11mos free) At this time the website appears to be under construction, so there isn't a ton of information available. Looking at other reviews there are days of the week that appear to be "members only" but more research is necessary.

I stayed at a hotel In Isle Verde and they shuttle guest here for pool and beach access. I thoroughly enjoyed my time. The club opens at 10:00 and I was there at open all 4 days of my vacation. The club and beach access is clean and well kept. There was construction at 1 part of the club, but it did not interfere with my visit. The staff is very friendly. Beach chairs set up and plenty of seating around the pool. There is a restaurant, however I did not try the food. I am unsure of the daily pass cost, since it was free as part of my hotel stay. If in the area it is worth checking it out. The bathrooms were also clean.

The absolute best place. Monique took care of us all day and Jesse the manager made sure we felt so welcome. We are so grateful to be here. Thank you for letting us visit. Also thank you to Natalia for bringing us our drinks sometimes and being just a sweetheart. We are coming back just because of you guys. Thank you so much.

Patrick at Vivo Beach Club is the kindest man in Carolina, Puerto Rico. In a turn of events with our elopement location, my fiancé and I were introduced to Patrick at the Vivo Beach Club who welcomed us with open arms to have our ceremony there. To say we are grateful is a pure understatement. Without Patrick, our day wouldn’t have been as special, seamless, or memorable. Not only did he say that he only wanted us to be happy, but he made our moment absolutely unforgettable for a lifetime. What originated as a small elopement turned into being cheered on, celebrated, and loved from afar by members at the beach club. My husband, Triston, and I love the beach club and everyone there — a special place with special people. We recommend Vivo for so many things apart from celebrating our special day. Their beer, as Vivo is home to Ocean Lab brewery, is one of the best we’ve ever tasted. Their beach club is stunning and their martini makes you feel like James Bond (says Triston). Vivo and our new friend, Patrick — we thank you, always, and cannot wait to visit again!

Attended part of the bad bunny vip event and it was nice. They have a small photo backdrop. They sell food and drinks on site. The beach is stunning there. The pool could’ve been cleaner and DJ could’ve been better.

Google
I’m giving Vivo Beach Club two stars, mainly because my experience this year was very different from a positive visit I had here last year. Last year, I came through an agreement with a nearby hotel whose pool was temporarily closed, and the experience felt clean, well-managed, and worth the visit. Based on that, I decided to return this year while visiting again. This time around, the biggest issue was pricing transparency. Vivo’s website is currently down, and despite searching online and calling ahead, I kept seeing a $40 daily rate mentioned across multiple sources. When I arrived, the entrance fee was actually $80 per person, with staff explaining that the $40 rate was old. I understand prices change, but with the website down and the phone system not connecting me to anyone at the front desk, this felt confusing and avoidable. As someone who works in web design, even a temporary landing page with updated pricing would go a long way. The location itself is still a strong point. The beach is sandy, not rocky, and easy to enter without water shoes. That part was great. However, finding a chair as a solo guest was surprisingly difficult. Many chairs were “reserved” with towels, but as I stayed for several hours, it appeared there were far more towels than people. Staff didn’t seem to be actively clearing unused chairs, which made the space feel more crowded than it actually was. The chairs and loungers themselves were serviceable but noticeably worn, which stood out given the current $80 entrance fee. In the pool area, there are separate family and adult pools, which is appreciated. However, overall upkeep was lacking. I noticed empty glasses, trash, and wet paper towels left on the ground for long stretches of time. The swim-up bar was also unstaffed during my visit, which made that advertised amenity unusable. There is ongoing construction near the pool area, which added noise and took away from the atmosphere. While this may be temporary, it’s worth noting for anyone seeking a relaxing day. On the positive side, the showers had warm water, which I appreciated. However, there was no soap provided in the shower area, and lockers were available but required bringing your own lock. Bathrooms appeared to be in the same condition when I arrived and when I left, suggesting cleaning could be more frequent. Overall, this wasn’t a terrible experience, but for $80 with no food or drink included, it didn’t feel like good value compared to other beach clubs or resorts in the area. I appreciated the sense of security as a solo traveler versus a public beach, but given the current pricing and condition, I don’t plan to return. This place may still work for some people, but expectations should be adjusted based on the new pricing and current upkeep.

Excellent place to enjoy the afternoon and evening. Food, drinks and music will keep you coming back. A Raw bar, located on the first floor is a must visit. Many new bilingual employees have been hired. Returned in August. It has totally been upgraded. The second floor can rented out for Weddings and private events. Went two days, 1st day Monique, was my server. She is bilingual and went above and beyond to help me out! A true professional!. Amanda made awesome drinks! Second day, Joan was my server and bartender. She is bilingual and nice a job with the drinks

Bernie O.

Google
I do not recommend this place. The web says it costs $40 a person. When we arrived they said that was old information and charged us $80 per person. Once we got settled in with chairs (there were no umbrellas available when we arrived) we never had any wait staff come to see if we needed a cocktail or food. We had to go to the bar directly. The place is only acceptable from a cleanliness perspective. Chairs are low end with straps only. Towels are included but small so you need at least two each for the chairs. We had hoped for a fun day and it wasn’t bad but definitely not worth $80 per person.

Yelp
The hotel where I am staying at, The Verdanza, is offering a day pass to the Vivo Beach Club when staying at the hotel. They also provide the shuttle service to the club. The club is open on certain days when there isn't a Bad Bunny Conert. The hotel provides the wrist band and the towel. There is a check in at club. There is a huge screen TV. There is an adult pool and a child friendly pool. There is access to the beach and chaise lounge are provided. There is wait service but the beer flights are not on that menu. Right next to beach club is a merchandise store and a restaurant and bar that sell the beer from the brewery which is also on this property. You can definitely spend the whole day here. I have been here on a Monday and Tuesday and am curious to see how it will look on Saturday. We shall see.

Yelp
This is a very nice venue. A fully equipped entertainment complex located in Caroline, near San Juan, on the beach shores, close to the Luis Munoz Marín Airport. This place has it all, restaurants, pools, concert/event stages and open air parking lots. Multi floor and multi purpose rooms for meetings on the top level and shops and bar on the floor level. The beach club has all the amenities of of any nightlife spot except this is on the outside. The bartenders served solid drinks, the food was pretty good and there is an area to chill and have a cigar.

Charlette P.

Yelp
I recently attended VIVO Beach Club for a private pool party tied to the Bad Bunny concert. Security was solid with no long lines, restrooms were clean, music was on point, and drinks were reasonably priced and good. I just grabbed popcorn (didn't notice much actual food being served), but overall the atmosphere was a vibe. I had a wonderful time

Yelp
Vivo beach club is a great place to hang out while in Puerto Rico. We had complimentary access with our hotel. It also came with free shuttle. Hotel venganza I'll be posting a review for them as well. Vivo has music, food, two pools and the beach which is very pretty. On the weekend evenings I heard it gets pretty lively with a great crowd of people. We had a great time and met some amazing people. I would say go for it! It's not a waste of time.

Yelp
Here for the Bad Bunny Vibee pool party and it was so much fun. We did the upstairs part and had a ball.

Yelp
Had such amazing time in the pool and dancing on the floor. Good music, bartenders were amazing.

Yelp
I had a great time at Vivo Beach Club. We spent a few hours here as part of a cruise ship shore excursion. Upon arrival, we received a friendly welcome from the staff and a sample of beer. There was a large, clean pool with plenty of seating but I'm more of a beach lover, so my group headed out to relax on the beautiful beach. We found beach chairs available and the staff brought out some umbrellas and tables for us to use also. There was a brewery on site (Ocean Lab Brewery) so I tried a few of their beers - they tasted great! My favorite was the blonde ale.

Yelp
We came here with friends of my love who are members. It was a great experience in the pool and the drinks were fantastic but the service was really slow and completely forgot my food order. When I reminded the server of the food order, he did finally bring it, and comped us for it, but by that time we were almost ready to leave. Overall, great experience if you just want to drink and swim but I would totally pass on the food. The sushi I ordered was just like why you'd get at the grocery store and I was super disappointed they had absolutely zero Puerto Rican food. Just like sushi and pizza and ceviches. A member of our party even sent back his ceviche he found it so bad. Otherwise, restrooms, changing rooms, pool and drinks are great- just skip the food.

Yelp
So, I finally got around to writing this review - my apologies for the delay! I was at this place last month during my vacation, and I had a fantastic time. The pool was amazing - super clean and there were tons of loungers available, which was great. We skipped the beach that day because the waves were a bit too rough for us. But the real highlight? Your brewery! Seriously, the beer was incredible. I especially loved the mango wheat - so refreshing on a hot day! And the food? Oh my goodness, that Puerto Rican lunch was a dream. Perfectly seasoned chicken (cut into yummy pieces!), a crisp green salad, rice and beans, and those delicious yuca fries... everything was absolutely tasty. I'd definitely come back just for that! Now the downfall.... For one, they didn't have servers to take orders at the pool so you had to go to the bar which was a bit time consuming. They also have a small store next to one of the pools where you can get brewery souvenirs, accessories and had their beer in cans. I went to the register to purchase the beer, but they said unfortunately you can't drink it by the pool so I had to put it back. I was totally bummed. But I do recommend checking this beach club out if you're in PR.

Yelp
Stopped here during my vacation to Puerto Rico and had a great experience! I ordered the guava wings--absolutely delicious--and tried the Werewolf drink, which was really fun and flavorful. The view was amazing, and the service was fast and friendly. Will definitely be coming back!

Yelp
Perfect ambient to enjoy a very nice day with your loved ones, but, the service and infrastructure very bad. I will start by firing the Manager or General Manager that was sit with two others next to the pool bar when I asked for a Ron Zacapa bottle and there was no stock in the bar, server interrupted his conversation with two other and him just took the lead as nothing. WTF???? Not even stand up to move $@@@'. There after, we asked for Pizza for the little ones, and after asking for them for 2 and half hours they bring it. Place not even half full. Come one?? I need to request ICE bucket and limes to drink alone with my Zacapa Bottle service, they don't have the courtesy to at least ask what mix going with the bottle service. Great place with wrong management it's my understanding and because they have a brewery locally in place that attract many of us there. Puerto Rico right now, too expensive and no service whatsoever!!! Very sad!! FM

Yelp
Had so much fun here. There was live entertainment and it was packed. If I were to ever come back, I would revisit but maybe not during peak season.
google avatar

Charise F.

Yelp
The place is run down and the service was poor. Not at all what we expected for the price we paid
google avatar

Katie B.

Yelp
Terrible experience with security. The place was completely empty on a Tuesday - we were ready to be at the pool, drink, eat and enjoy until our flight that evening. Security was beyond rude and we chose to take our business elsewhere. It was a shame because we were looking forward to spending time here.
google avatar

Jen W.

Yelp
Came here on a cruise excursion--great beach area and pretty pool area to enjoy. Staff polite and beach chairs and umbrellas provided. Limited drink menu and other than an excursion that offered a Buffett I saw no food for sale. They had a small shop with t-shirts and a parrot in a glass enclosure by the restrooms. Two gorgeous hotel cats were on patrol to keep mice away (wearing collars but keeping to themselves.) overall a good time for beach. No annoying vendors and felt safe . Could not find the hot tub area!

Anderson C.

Yelp
Nice place and good service. I just don't think Vibee did a good job putting together the event. But Vivo beach club itself is a must. We loved the food! Some great ceviche. John our server was amazing and the ambience was ok. But again I think that's more of a failure on Vibee and not on Vivo. We hope to come back and visit them when Vibee is not involved.
google avatar

Gina F.

Yelp
Beautiful beach, well maintained pool area. Servers were attentive and friendly and kept the drinks flowing all day. The food is actually PHENOMENAL- I was blown away by how delicious the tuna tacos were and my husband had the chicken sliders and loved them as well. He even ordered more - haha. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because when we got there on a Monday, we paid our $80/pp fee to use the pool/beach and they had fully intended to spend the entire day pressure washing the pool area (soooo noisy). Only when a member who was there asked them to stop did they realize how rude it was to assume it was ok to do this during business hours. If this continued I doubt our experience would have been tolerable but since they stopped shortly after we arrived we ended up having a great time.
google avatar

Carolyn C.

Yelp
Unbeknownst to us, there is a hotel and "beach club and pool resort" semi attached to the Ocean Lab Brewery. We stopped in on a Monday at 3:00PM. We were told that we had to pay either $5 or $10 for parking--since we were eating they charged us $5. Already annoyed that one is forced to park at this location and on top of it has to pay for it, places like this annoy me due to getting as much money out of their patrons as possible. There are zero directions, maps or advertisements so of course nonspanish speakers will get lost. Which they want because they attempt to charge you $80.00 to enter. WHAT?! After using google translate to explain that we were solely here for the brewery, we walked up to the platform which is when we saw that there were pools, bars and beach access which they were charging walkins $80 to use, and convention, hotel and cruise ship attendees $40 to use. Ridiculous amount of money for the small pools, lack of seating and eating areas plus the beach was CLOSED. In fact, beach access here is closed on both Mondays and Tuesdays but they would not budge on entry pricing. Hilarious. We were so caught off guard by the price to get in that we investigated the bar options below us and their food menu--all SO expensive. If I was a cruiser and I signed up for this as an "excursion," I would be SO UPSET. There are SO many amazing options to do in San Juan--do those instead!

Z J.

Yelp
There was a lot of construction going on and with loud music it was not relaxing. The bartenders had an attitude towards us when we asked for menus. There wasn't a variety of options on the menu.
google avatar

Andres A.

Yelp
We did not visit the beach club to take advantage of the beach or pool services. We had an event at their place when over 100 guests took advantage of the open bar, appetizers and food service. We had use of their indoor and outdoor facilities and we were just blown away by the attention given to our guests. The appetizers and the food service was superb. If I could give this place 10 stars; then I would. Every member of their team was excellent! Our guests had a blast and I heard comments about how great everything was great. The food was so good, the paella, chicken, beef and fish was all top notch.

Paige B.

Yelp
We wanted to go to a beach club while here and Viva beach club seemed fine so we checked the hours, but the official website was down so we checked multiple different sites and were confused due to different times listed. We decided to call them and try to figure out the hours but no one picked up after calling twice so we decided to just Uber there and figure it out, but when we got there, the host up front told us that "only members" were allowed today. It's pretty frustrating because if the website was up or if someone was working the phones we might have found out, but because we didn't know that today was for members only we wasted an uber ride and had to walk an hour home. Disappointed.
google avatar

Neil B.

Yelp
Great food and service at the pool. Very welcoming. Nice clean beach area. Lots of seating available.

Doug W.

Yelp
We came here on an excursion feom our cruise. The beach was really nice. The pools were clean. The lunch was fresh and delicious. The staff was motivated and accommodating.

Rumesh V.

Yelp
Our flight was around 3pm so we were looking for a nice place where we could spend nice time at the beach, pool and have a nice shower area before we depart from Puerto Rico. We found Vivi beach club right across the airport about 3 mins drive to the airport. We called the club to ensure that they have guest passes. I was super excited when they said they have guest passes and it's just $40 that includes access to pool, towels, lockers and beach. Wow! I couldn't believe it. We were here around 10:30 am, check-in was very easy, locker room was very clean and can hold one bag. Shower area was nice. Pool is amazing and very clean. Love the views from the pool overlooking the Isla Verde beach. We walked on the beautiful Isla Verde beach for half an hour all the way to Marriott. It's a beautiful walk. We spent some time in the water. I wish tides were a little bit on the lower side but nevertheless the day was beautiful. Staff is very nice! They will bring drinks to you at the pool. That was good as we did not have to walk back and forth to the bar area. I definitely recommend this place if you are looking for nice place to spend a couple of hours.

Yelp
Anfernee served me today!! Great bartender ! im from Florida he was so nice service was great and fast , he told us about cool local spots definitely recommend this place. Such a beautiful place 10/10

Yelp
Hi writing this so no one else waste there time . The website has no info so I basically had to waste money on Uber to get here and find out . It's private beach club , so no day passes or access , especially on weekends . No exceptions lol But from what I saw the pool area looks like a Disney cruise so it's not like your missing out on a whole bunch . I'm not the only person I noticed that got turned away al
google avatar

Catrina B.

Yelp
I came here on a day excursion from a cruise. Plenty of areas around the pool to sit and enjoy. Beach chairs on the beach are harder to come by. But I like hanging at the pool do for me that's not a deal breaker. Drinks are good average price for a resort. There's a DJ which is not really necessary especially if you're trying to relax. The bathrooms are clean and stocked. Bring a towel if coming from a ship. It's an overall good way to spend a February day.. solid 4... food makes it a 4. I'd give food a 3 so for the amenities a 5 which gives this place an overall 4. Enjoy...
google avatar

Rachel S.

Yelp
What a cool spot! Not only do you get both beach and pool, it's a beautiful day club and they bring in huge names for concerts. I will definitely try to hit one of those next time. We were there mid afternoon had a couple of beers from their brewery and a few bites to eat that were delicious. I absolutely love that it's next to the airport and you can see the planes taking off at super close range. It was quiet when we went and we had great service.
google avatar

Gabrielle L.

Yelp
Very cool atmosphere. I'm sure there are times where it's really packed here. The pool bar was my favorite. Seems like a small venue for somewhere that could have concerts. The oysters and ceviche were the best that we had while we were in Puerto Rico. Not sure how much it was to get in. I think they may only be doing week passes currently (instead of 1 day). Can walk right onto the beach and has a great view of sunset. There is a brewery here too.
google avatar

Jasmine S.

Yelp
$40 entry and I don't know why. We arrived at 2:30 on a Saturday and the staff was cleaning up around us by 4:30, like folding chairs putting everything away. This $40 includes 1 towel and access to the club but there was no one there except for our party of 6 and a group of 5 middle school girls. We thought we'd be paying to party with a group, an amazing beach front bumping music and heated pools. The beach was fine but the chairs and cabanas were so worn, thin material. I mean just for the price of entry I had high expectations. The inside was nice, there were chairs in the pool, it could have been a hit. But mixed with no people, no (loud) music, and slow service I just didn't see the point, we were all disappointed Of course we paid for beer, wines, food while we were there for those 2 hours, I think a minimum purchase of $40 would suffice rather than a supplemental charge.

Carmen H.

Yelp
Great service, beautiful views of the beach. Love the craft beers. Nice pool area with chairs and towels available.
google avatar

Leslie M.

Yelp
I never got to come here because they don't pick up the phone and all I see is mixed reviews on Yelp. I wish they were more communicative because when on vacation you really don't want to risk going to a place that might not even be open so I decided to avoid it instead. It's a shame cause it looks beautiful.
google avatar

P. P.

Yelp
Touristy and pricey but good quality venue. I have been here several times for events and conferences. It is nice for beachfront access and convenient parking, but it costs $5 to park and $40 for a day pass. Food is extra on top of that. You can just go to the brewery next door if you want an air conditioned place to sit and eat. on crowded busy days on the beach this can be a good option to get a bit more privacy and comfort.
google avatar

Tori E.

Yelp
1. A day pass is $40 per person, which includes onsite parking. This is a big deal in Puerto Rico because parking is usually a nightmare! You also get access to all amenities from 9am-6pm. Food and drink is a separate expense. 2. They have a big stage for concerts and parties. Check their calendar for more information. They were hosting a big concert the night we were there, so they closed the pool down an hour early to get set up. It wasn't a big deal but it's something to be aware of. 3. It's dog friendly! Any place that welcomes our fur babes will always rank high on my list. 4. With the day pass, you get access to the beach and beach loungers, the pool and jacuzzis. I never actually saw the jacuzzis so I can't say what they looked like but based on my experience, I'm sure they're nice. 5. You don't need to make a reservation during the day. I did see a few private areas available for reservation, but I didn't inquire on price. 6. Craft beer lovers - get pumped up! Vivo Beach Club doubles as a craft brewery. The brand: Ocean Labs. This is exciting if you're into craft beers but kind of a bummer if you're not (like me) because they don't sell anything else. Just Ocean Labs beer. No Medalla. No Michelob. Just Ocean Labs. I must admit, I tried the blonde brew and it was good. Heavy, but good. 7. They serve brunch during the summer months. The lunch/snack menu is small but really good. We ordered the tuna poke bowl and the Vivo Beach salad with salmon. Both were delish. 8. They don't allow coolers. Obviously. 9. Towels are provided. No need to bring your own unless you want to! 10. Kids are allowed. There were quite a few little ones running around while we were there. 11. It's close to the airport. I'm guessing it would take 10 minutes to get to the airport and probably 15-20 minutes to get to the cruise ports, depending on traffic. 12. From my experience, this isn't a party daytime beach club like those you'll find in South Beach. It was quiet and fairly PG-13. I'm not sure what it's like at night though. I bet it gets pretty lit. (Isn't that what the kids say nowadays? "Lit".)

Debra A.

Yelp
Went here on a cruise shore excursion. When we got there, there wasn't even a beach chair available for my sister and I to sit! The chairs were so close together, you felt like you were practically sitting on someone else's lap! Went to the pool area to sit in the lounge chairs in pool and put my small beach bag on ground next to me and was rudely told by an employee that the area was reserved. Just not a good experience, shops were minimal, nothing exciting about the place at all. We stayed about 45 minutes before Ubering back to the ship. So I paid for the crappy excursion plus another $30 for the ride back! NEVER AGAIN! DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!!
google avatar

F D.

Yelp
Pricey but the beer and the view are outstanding. The food was above average for bar food. The menu is more sophisticated and flavorful than bar food. But it is setup like a bar, which is cool and casual. The only issue is tha tab and parking. But great place

Yonina G.

Yelp
Five stars! I came here for my birthday while visiting San Juan on holiday. Entry was straight forward, costs were reasonable, music was good, drinks were great, food was delicious and service was perfect! We loved it so much that we returned the following day! There were some kids there but not too many to kill the vibe. The crowd was mostly young and hip couples and groups of friends. I highly recommend this place if you are looking for beach views with beach club amenities. It's so nice to have a clean bathroom, chairs, towels and showers while laying out for sun all day.
google avatar

Dianne B.

Yelp
We came here on a cruise ship excursion. It was supposed to be a deluxe beach break. This place is sadly rundown. We had to pay for our drinks. The deluxe lunch was rice, salad, and macaroni salad. Really? Would not recommend.
google avatar

Devin M.

Yelp
It's a shame how poorly run this establishment is. My girlfriend and I paid 5$ to park and then walked in to take a look around. We walked around for about 10 minutes. We were headed to buy drinks when stopped by an extremely rude and hostile security guard. He yelled at us that it was members only. Which is okay but how about tell us a price or direct us to members services? We would have gladly paid an entry fee. The idiot security guard did not even want to let us purchase a drink. It's terrible employees like this that ruin businesses. I would recommend to NOT visit this establishment, San Juan has much better places to offer.

Gaby G.

Yelp
Was a little disappointed because I've been seeing this place online and was looking forward to checking it out on our recent visit to PR. Came on a Friday around 3, but apparently they only sell day passes for non-members on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesday's. The rest of the days are for members only. (Something they should probably mention on their website/social media) The place was not busy either, but they still said we could only eat at the restaurant and weren't allowed in the pool or beach area. So we had to leave and go ask the parking attendant for our $5 back for parking in the lot. So unless you can find someone to get you a pass, I would cross this place off your list of weekend plans. If you're looking for a place to hang out at the beach with drink/food service on the weekends, I recommend Numero Uno Beach Club. They're a more chill vibe, but they don't require you to be a member already or be staying at a certain hotel.

Yelp

Yelp
Vivo Beach Club is worth the splurge! We got access for the week because our Airbnb owner is a member. The pool area is so nice! It has a lot of space where you can sit & lounge in the pool, chairs in the pool & lots of chairs with umbrellas near the pool. The beach access is to die for. It's usually pretty isolated and has the most beautiful view of the beach. Very secluded. The food & drinks were great too. We had mojitos and they were way better than the ones we had the night before at the restaurant. We also had the nachos, wings & rib tacos. Everything was very tasty. I highly recommend Vivo!

Yelp
The information that we read about this resort was sadly not accurate in our experience. We were led to believe that we would have access to and from the beach, which is a public facility, if we patronized one of their businesses, namely the Ocean Lab Brewery. But we were advised by the manager that the facilities were only accessible through membership. No one-day passes or other temporary membership were available. At first we were told we also could not access the beach after patronizing the brewery, but after some discussion and rational persuasion we were allowed access to and from the beach as long as we patronized their businesses, which we did, including the brewery and their boutique where we obtained brewery-labeled merchandise. It was still an unpleasant process to go through when you are just looking for vacationing fun. A venue that is situated within a public beach should know better.

Yelp
We visited this place while on a cruise and would recommend it. It is nice and clean. The food was very good and the staff was nice. There is beach access with plenty of clean bathrooms, a coffee shop, a beer brewery and a nice shop. I tried the Baraka beer at the Ocean Lab Brewing Co and was delighted by the taste of cold espresso. If you like coffee, you have to try this one.

Yelp
Asethically it's cool for pictures and that's about it. I was charged $80 for a day pass which I don't even know is legit looking at the other reviews. Definitely not worth $80 if you ask me especially with nothing included with the price. Drinks were reasonably priced, food wasn't all that good but definitely edible. DJ was cool. 1 thing is I did feel extremely safe and secure, like leave my purse in my seat and go get a drink secure. If your a tourist keep your money if your pocket!!

Yelp

Yelp
WARNING: They are not giving out day passes currently due to COVID. This wasn't anywhere on their website and I was pretty disappointed when I couldn't get in after taking an uber out there. The place was beautiful, hoping to increase my rating once they return to allowing day passes!
