Definitely one of the best places to eat in Florence! Not the usual tourist trap but a really fresh seafood and delicious meal. Be sure to reserve in advance as they are always full. 5 stars for everything!

One of the best restaurants I've been to in my life and I've been to a couple world renowned places. Amazing seafood, incredible prices (I can't stress how good the prices are for what you get) and a lovely staff. The oysters were the best I've had. If this restaurant was in my city I'd be there at the very least once a month.

After a wonderful day exploring the wonderful city of Florence, we wandered into Vivo. Having not booked we were thankful that there was a table outside because the restaurant was full. It is large and modern and not at all olde worlde. It is hard core seafood though and I think that is why it is so popular. A small daily menu with fair pricing and only the freshest ingredients is what we were greeted by. We had a bottle of Italian Rosé, two pasta dishes, fried seafood and sea bass finished dinner for with sorbetta. Every dish was simple but well made and delicious. Great value and friendly team. No English menu but helpful wait staff very patient with us, talking is through every item on the menu. Change from €70 so we thought it was good value.

Nice place for local seafood. A little busy but a good sized room, shouldn’t be too difficult to get a table. They did not have all of the items on the raw bar menu. We enjoyed our main courses of risotto and squid gnocchi.

Thoroughly enjoyed our evening here! Food was delicious, service was amazing. Our server was attentive, and clearly passionate about food, drink and his job. He made great recommendations as well as explained the whole of the menu to us, including how they source their seafood. Top that off with sitting outside watching the sunset in the square and we could not have been more pleased.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Fish Restaurant Vivo, and I can only say positive things. The quality of the food was outstanding; the fresh seafood and fish were perfectly prepared and tasted delicious. I was particularly impressed by the friendly service. The staff was attentive and helpful without being intrusive, making me feel welcome and well taken care of. Overall, it was a wonderful experience that I would recommend to any seafood lover! I’m already looking forward to my next visit.

Loved it!! Nice staff, good quality food, reasonable price. Nice to have seafood after toscana’s meaty food for a couple of days.
