VN Sandwich - Review - Smyrna - Atlanta - The Infatuation

"The focus at this Smyrna spot is on sandwiches—specifically bánh mì. But if sandwiches aren't your bag, there are other options like wings, phở, and bún. Smyrna tends to hide its best restaurants in nondescript shopping plazas (we're looking at you Tacos La Villa), so we're keen to get to VN Sandwiches and see if it continues that trend. We haven’t been here yet, but want you to know this spot exists." - Juli Horsford

We’ve been a few times and are very appreciative that they are making their own bread! My husband loves the chicken pho, the brother is light and rich at the same time. I really love the Bahn Pan, four proteins: sliced pork, meat balls, a fried egg, all over stewed beef in a tasty sauce. I loved my Banh mi too. We got the beef rice noodle dish, and while the flavors and vegetable roll were really good, the beef was a little tough but still tasty. Maybe it needed a little longer braising. The boba milk tea is quite tasty and they will adjust sweetness on some drinks for you. The staff are friendly a nice and it is always clean. We’re happy to have a nice Vietnamese option close by and will continue to be customers!!!

Came in on a cold and rainy day to warm up with some pho. I got the brisket and it was SO DELICIOUS!!!! Very generous portion of everything. Every possible condiment you’d want to add to your pho including homemade chili oil. Complimentary lemon water available when dining in. It was so filling I didn’t need dinner that night. I loved it and have been daydreaming about it since! I’ll definitely be back soon. (I’d love to take my young kids also, though I’m unsure what they might try. TBD on kid involvement.) Thank you!!

Outstanding Pho and Egg rolls in an impeccably clean restaurant. Excellent service with a smile. The care and love for the food and their standards shine through the flavors and presentation. Love their iced coffee and tea selections. They also provide generous portions. This establishment delivers on all fronts!

I have been driving by this restaurant for the past 3 weeks waiting for opening day and let me say they did not disappoint!! Everything was incredible. The staff were so kind and helpful. The restaurant is beautiful and comfortable. And the food was delicious and authentic!! I lived in Vietnam for several years and this was like taking a bite into my past. I can’t wait to come back and try EVERYTHING!

We got: 2x Pho Dat Biet (house pho), a coconut matcha, a viet ice coffee, and a smart water. We paid ~with tip $60. There was a bit of a wait, about 15 minutes and like 4 people ahead of us. The place was very clean. Once we ordered, it took about 10 minutes to get our food and drinks. The pho bowls were huge and were only one size, me and my wife could definitely share one. The pho came with plenty of herbs like culantro, basil, bean sprouts, lime and there was all the typical sauces, with a few that looked like they were made in house. The food actually came with a small cup of what I think was a very light green tea. It actually was extremely refreshing and nice to sip between bites. The pho broth itself was relatively clear. It was slightly sweeter than normal, and lots of aromatics. The noodles were good with a little bounce. We got a good portion of meat. Brisket, flank, tripe, and tendon. All good quality. Overall great. The coconut matcha was cool because the matcha was sat on top of the coconut water. We shook it before we got a picture lol. It was the perfect amount of sweet and so good. The Vietnamese coffee was thick and creamy, lots of ice though, but that’s to be expected. It was a good quality drink for sure! Overall I would definitely come back!

This place is truly run by real Vietnamese people who make the food themselves. The bread items beautifully showcase the harmony between the spirit of Asia and the elegance of French baking culture. The noodles fell a bit short of a true specialist’s touch, but the broth had an authentic local flavor.

UPDATE: Visited another time to try the Pho which was very delicious. We ordered the chicken pho and the pho with brisket and we enjoyed it. The lemon tea and the super fruit tea were also delicious. I highly recommend this place! *** I visited this place yesterday but was so full that the cashier told us that they were not taking more orders. We tried again today and it did not disappointed us. The place has a cute decor. The food was delicious and the boba tea was also good. We ordered 1 banh mi grilled pork, 1 banh mi grilled beef, a kiwi tea with green grass jelly, and a strawberry tea with crystal boba. We would have preferred the sugar boba but it was not available. However, it was nice experience. You can visit with family or friends. The place gets easily full but the food is worth the wait. I will definitely come back.

Yelp
I really love their sandwiches, especially the combination. Beef version was mid. Eggrolls were crunchy and crispy. Thai tea has a great mixture. The sugar cane thought has a taste of lime in it. Pho was great too! Great service and the place was clean and nice. I was able to dine in and relax. Hoping to eat more there!

Yelp
Food was delicious! We had a pork bahn mi and a special bahn mi - perfect bread stuffed tender meat and crispy veggies. Also had a side of spring rolls that were flaky and not greasy. We can't wait to go back and try the pho! Service was friendly and efficient. We're so happy to have this place in Smyrna!

Yelp
I have eaten here twice and both times it was great! Had the chicken, beef and pork sandwiches. Carried out. It is in a strip mall across from the Subway on Concord Road. You really have to look for it or you'll miss it! Highly recommend.
