So I tried Voagies for the first time this past Friday, happened to be nearby and came in for a late healthy lunch. Decided on the Italian after debating chicken or seafood ones. But it turned out to be a pretty disappointing vegan sandwich- it was lackluster and too thin to be this expensive, didn't match! Also it was very odd & off putting that NOO prices of any the sandwiches were listed like why hide it!! Not cool to avoid pricing transparency & sketchy in terms of trust. Especially with the option for the 6 inch vs the 12 inches, which was about a $4 difference helps in decision. Then adding chips and drink brought the 12 inch to $20.... As they made my sandwich, I noticed that the meat layering appeared pretty thin only ONE slice!! When normally would expect at least like 4 or 5 slices of meat, so I watched to see how it would all turn out. Biting in to the voagie, flavor was good, but the thinness was so whack! And didn't give you a feel of an actual hero sandwich, which is an art as it's supposed to be THICK with meat (or substitute) in multiple layers! This veggie one was lacking in density and no substance. Really, this sandwich felt anorexic and definitely overpriced for this very thin $17 vegan sandwich and I'm flexatarian. So I may as well buy the real thing for half the price and get some actual substance and appreciate the art of a real hero sandwich/hoagie. Not this scarcity and sadness voagie was! I will not return as it's overpriced and thin presentation doesn't match the high cost. I got the wheat bread tasty and ate one half but next day bread was very soggy! But one good thing the mayo and sauce options were very flavorful and the two staff there were very nice & friendly. But since voagie was so thin, I actually, I ended up going to store to buy chicken slices to add to this pitiful vegan voagie sandwich. And to not waste cost & the bread calories to enhance my experience. Another drawback is it's so small, no inside seating only 2 tables outside! It started to rain so only got a few bites in while there sigh.
