"More a dog park with a bar than a dog-friendly bar,  this converted house in Greenwood is surrounded by a huge, wood-chipped lot equipped with toys, dog pools, and covered seating so patrons can enjoy the carefully cultivated beer and cider list rain or shine while their pals romp in the yard. Voff also shows sports and movies on a massive TV screen. Entry to the park with hound is $10, but the cover is waived for dog-less customers who just want to watch the action." - Meg van Huygen

Google
Ryan has done a really phenomenal job of turning this place into a great spot to come enjoy a drink and play with the dogs. The setup is wonderful, there's plenty of room for social distancing, the water towers are well placed, and the turf is great for the dogs. Having a side for active dogs & a separate side for chill dogs is great too! (lazy dogs & crazy dogs 😃🐶) We come out almost every weekend and love the community and great beer/cider selections!

Evelyn Burnett

Google
Awesome place. The owner is a chill guy and comes out to play with the dogs himself, who of course love him because he's basically a dog whisperer. Good beers and ciders as well as frozen drinks including Frose, and the park itself is a good size, clean, and plenty of other fun dogs to play with.

Blake Leithiser

Google
Great owner, great dog park, lots of toys, pools, beer and great place to chill with your pup and watch the game or just drink beer and play! Plenty of outdoor space for the dogs and since there is a covered area, a great alternative to sulking in a dog park if it's raining. Only complaint is water can get dirty with so many puppers so if you're worried about your clean water I'd recommend bringing a separate water bottle.

Google
Friendly, affordable, chill, responsible, I LOVE this place. Large outdoor: space, shade, seating. Many hand sanitizer stations, no mask deniers. Also, it's a community. People take responsibility for their dogs and their dogs' behavior. If a dog gets overstimulated they take a time out. If owners are asked to correct behavior and they prove unresponsive, they're asked to leave for the sake of everybody else who is doing it right. Great variety of quality craft beers, wines, seltzers, and non-alcoholic beverages. Also prepackaged foods from chips to trail mix, to meat and cheese snack packs, to pita chips and hummus. Also the beer is served in compostable cups, so, no broken glass, and less environmental impact than plastic.

Google
Awesome spot to bring your energetic and playful pup! There’s a community vibe with lots of friendly owners and dogs. Beers on tap are top notch. Covered seating. Only down side is the mud on those rainy seattle days. Will definitely come again.

Google
This was my first time at Voff and I had no idea what to expect, but it was great! I picked a bad time to go because there weren't many people there and it started to rain shortly after I arrived, but I'll definitely be going back. I enjoyed a cider while petting some friendly floofs and my big boy Monty had a great time romping, sniffing, and meeting new doggo and human friends.

Google
This place was fantastic. Large selection of beer and ciders, very friendly and inviting atmosphere. The owner was around and you could tell he had such passion about all the dogs, which was great to see. The other owners were very friendly as well, we all took turns throwing balls and laughing about our dogs. The pools were a bonus, as my dog loves the water. Definitly will be going again!

Google
Great to have your dog run around while you can taste from a variety of beers on tap! Love this place

Yelp
Food, Service, and Ambiance were a 10/10! Took my dog and my gf dog and they had the time of their lives!!!!! Everyone was friendly and respectful. If your a true dog person go here. Relax and let the dingos be dingos. Just no drama. Keep it chill. Don't be a Karen or a Karl and if you do just leave because this place is truly awesome. We need more places like this. For both 2 legged and 4 legged friends .

Yelp
This place is great. They are upfront and honest about their policies and it's a great place for "dogs to be dogs". They offer single entry and also membership. It's a great community of dogs and owners that are made up of a variety of locals. I've been reading recent reviews and find some issues with them. 1. My dog got kicked out because it was barking statement- read their website and get a debrief on this when you walk in. Barking isn't fun for anyone. It really makes the dogs go insane so while it's generally accepted by you, it's not cool. 2. No vaccinations required - the dog park doesn't require that either. You chose to bring your dog in! You accepted that risk. 3. Ryan is playful and does a great job at speaking to customers about dog language. Play is encouraged but is also broken up when it becomes too much. If you have a really shy, timid, or fearful dog, they may be uncomfortable until they get used to their environment (just like a dog park) but the team works to watch that behavior and help your dog (and yourself) out. 4. There is definitely some roughhousing that can happen between dogs but it's responsibility of everyone to make sure their dogs are on point. Everyone has the same interests to keep their pooches safe. You'll learn a lot about how all dogs play and communicate very differently. 5. I brought my puppy here to socialize. Puppies in general are in a phase of exploration and learning and not every dog will want to play with them. Your jovial young pup that's batting an old dog in the face may get a growl and a show of teeth. It's a warning. Perfectly normal in dog land and not the fault of an owner of an establishment. Overall, really, it's a wonderful place. I won't say that there aren't small things every now and then but everyone is walking away safe and happy and it's a community of wonderful people.

Yelp
We've been here twice and both have been such positive experiences for human and dog. The staff is so welcoming and warm. Excellent beer and cider selection. Thank goodness for the standing heaters on the colder Seattle days. The dogs and other humans are also friendly and welcoming. Great hours of operation too. We spent hours here, I can't wait to go back!

Yelp
14/10 woofs would recommend! I love this place! My dog and I always have a great time at voff, lots of room to throw a frisbee or kick a ball on either the big dog or small dog side. The Astro turf is great for my "low rider" dog, I don't have to worry about her getting dirty. The kiddie pools on warm days are great, she loves them! There's also a massive beer selection, I've had some of the best ciders here as well and there's also a variation of non alcoholic drinks.

Josie N.

Yelp
I bring my Husky mix here when I can. We see Ryan and his pack in the neighborhood a lot and my dog loves his dogs. We always have a great time. It's a fantastic place if you have large, energetic dogs. There are some simple rules to follow and it seems like most negative reviews don't like that.

Yelp
This was a nice place to take my dog Charlie. I'm a animal lover and care so much about people and animals. I got a bad feeling the first time I met Ryan he was not a people person. The very first time I didn't know what to order. First of all his drinks are overpriced but I guess that's the least of my concerns. He gave me the attitude "like hurry up". Lame drinks. Anyhow my boyfriend brought milk bone treats for other dogs. Most all customers were ecstatic owners loved it. Only one complained because he was an. Alpha male just being petty. Saying don't give treats to my dog. Well, my boyfriend always always asks. Anyhow today my boyfriend said sorry the other dog took it from the other dog when he saw his dog eating a milk bone. My boyfriend kept saying sorry. He didn't mean to. The owner Ryan yelled at him threw his drink and scared me. Ryan yelled at me and I said nothing to him. Told me to get out, he was pissed my boyfriend was giving other dogs treats. . My boyfriend said I always ask permission which he does. Anyhow I love people and animals and I was talked down to horribly although I did nothing wrong. Please people this man is mean with zero emotional intelligence and mad at his own world. This is not fair to us customers or animals. I cried after reading some of these yelps how he hurt other animals. That alone made my heart very sad. But although he's mad at my boyfriend although my boyfriend said he's sorry and loved dogs and just loved to make other dogs happy. the other dog took it for another he didn't listen. I said listen Charlie ( my dog). Let's go somewhere with nicer owners. He had no right to yell at me as I did nothing but love the other animals. He made a scene saying "get out to me specifically , when he threw my boyfriends drink out on the yard. Not to mention my boyfriend got bit but he let it go and did not say anything to the owner. Ryan just said to me people are glad you are going. Actually it was one man who just didn't like my boyfriend for giving treats to other dogs. He understood that my boyfriend always asked the owners. Ryan's dog took the treat and the other guy just came unglued. It was more of a male control issue for this guy instead. Ryan is not a good owner. We taked with Ryan and my boyfriend my boyfriend would always ask to give treats. This is exactly what my boyfriend did, and he was saying sorry too when he didn't need to. I was yelled at when I did nothing wrong. I've tried to be kind to Ryan as I love again people and animals. It's sad I had to take his abuse. I was crying when I left. I've never been treated so poorly after paying for our services for my sweetest dog.

Yelp
Upon reading some of the negative reviews, I feel compelled to offer my experience. Voff is an amazing place to be if you either 1) have a well-behaved dog, or 2) you might not have the perfect dog but you as an owner are constantly watching to correct bad behavior before it gets out of hand. If you are neither then this place might not be a good fit for you, and you're better off going to a public dog park where it's a free-for-all in terms of behavior. I brought my dog here because she's gotten bit by an aggressive dog at another place (I won't say where because that's not the point of this review, but you can scroll through my Yelp reviews if you feel so compelled to find out) and there were no repercussions for it; the owner of the dog was not asked to leave. Voff is a different place. The owner Ryan takes the time to know all of his patrons and their dogs, and he's not shy about enforcing the rules here. The rules are in place to maintain safe, high standards of good dog play. Patrons are made up of a lot of local regulars and it's so easy to strike up a conversation with others. It's such a welcoming atmosphere and most of the people here keep a pretty close eye not only on their dogs, but even other peoples' dogs too, which I REALLY appreciate! I've seen people pry a humping dog off of my dog even though they had no affiliation with either dogs, and I think that's just awesome that there's a culture of people looking out for everyone's best interests.

Yelp
I can't believe I waited so long to introduce my bull-headed girl to the social scene. I love everything about Voff. With policies in place it felt like a safe place. Then I met the owner, Ryan, who is almost always there and definitely speaks dog. Then I started meeting the great community of people and dogs... Immediately I saw the crazy value in the membership and realized the venue is set up to be a year-round destination. I started my girl off slow/ at non-busy hours. She got into a scuffle the first two times and Ryan didn't hesitate to throw himself in-between two serious jaws because he happened to be on the field and generally scouring the scene for vibes. Everyone has their own style when it comes to training, discipline, etc., and I'm grateful to add Ryan's experience on all things related to dogs. My only complaint is that after just a couple weeks, we had to stop coming because of a (the very last!) heat cycle. My girl is so bored (see pic) that she has resumed an absurd habit... Looking forward to seeing everyone soon!

Yelp
I just realized I haven't reviewed my favorite place, Voff! Though I lived all the way across town (Columbia City), I drove up to Voff as often as I could. I've since moved to Arizona and miss Voff! Voff is an older home converted to a dog park. As you enter, you purchase either a one time, punch card, or membership for entry. By purchasing entrance you are agreeing that your dog is up to date with all current vaccinations along with other rules you can find posted by the register or on the website. Once you pass through the half door, you can have your dog off leash. Inside is a few tables, then a larger room with big screens for sports (you can also host events here), and then there is a large outside area. My Great Dane loved Voff, and had plenty of room inside and out. The patio has a lot of cover, so even if it was misting I mostly stayed outside. This is a dog park, and dogs are dogs, so you should be watching your dog to ensure play stays nice. I just noticed a review below that was frustrated dogs aren't supposed to bark or pee inside. To each their own, but I appreciate these rules. No one gets thrown out for their dog barking - but you are supposed to stop it. Does it sound fun to hang out and chat and enjoy delicious cider while a gang of dogs bark? No not really. And barking is a behavior that can escalate dog play into aggression. As for the no peeing inside -- do I really have to say why I appreciate that? I have not met one other person who has an issue with that. I actually didn't know that was an explicit rule because that's just manners and cleanliness. The owner Ryan is there quite often and puts a lot into the beer and cider selection. There are usually 5-6 really good craft ciders. The selection changes up a lot too. You can also get mimosas, canned alcholic seltzer, etc. Voff is the best! Oh parking is tight, so be prepared for that. You may have to park down the street and walk a little, but it's worth it.

Jazz K.

Yelp
My pup had a blast here! We both made lots of friends. The beer selection is great and everyone and their dogs were having a good time. Will be back soon.

Andrea L.

Yelp
We have been coming to Voff since the day we adopted our big guy. We live down the street and dont have a yard of our own, so this place has become his backyard. Everyone seems to know who he is when he comes in (how could you miss him) and he couldn't be happier to be here!! We've met some great dogs and owners so there is always a playmate coming or going for Jack. I always have to be weary since other dogs can be scared of Jack just by his size, so I do my best to make sure other owners are comfortable or to pull Jack into time out until he can calm down. I've noticed so many improvements over the year and a half and think Ryan does a great job managing expectations. I understand everyone's concerns about safety, but several people have already said it - you never check paperwork at a dog park or brewery, so what's the difference? Don't be a stranger when you come, it's a great place to drink beers and meet other dog owners - just dont be offended when people can remember your dog's name better than your own! Lastly - pick up after your dogs poo - it's still a dog park!

Christie C.

Yelp
I've been here a few times with my dog, but my previous visit will definitely be my last. Two days ago, I left a voicemail and emailed Voff during their business hours to let them know that I (AND another person) had been bitten by a dog there and that I needed to get in touch with the owner ASAP, since the dog had broken skin in multiple places. The owner left before I could get the owner's contact information, though I had the dog's name and knew they had been there before. I made it clear that my focus was to confirm that the dog has been vaccinated. At this point, the fact that I got bit doesn't even matter to me as much as the complete silence I've gotten from Voff. Fortunately, a friend was eventually able to identify the owner of the dog, and the owner was forthcoming and even gracious when I reached out (and the dog was vaccinated). I didn't (and don't) consider Voff to be responsible for what happened, but I expected them to at least acknowledge my email or voicemail. I used to like the convenience of not having to carry around my dog's vaccination record, but after looking up where I might get a rabies shot, I am no longer willing to take that risk.

David G.

Yelp
I overheard the owner Ryan lose his cool with several customers for no reason. His behavior was the talk of the park, especially as he tried justifying his uncivil behavior-- he clearly knew he was wrong. Going through the reviews here, it seems I'm not alone in identifying his issues with anger. I walked out the door after not wanting to hear this man be disrespectful and mock paying customers. Such a disappointment, he should feel shame, embarrassment, and hope others didn't overhear his childish behavior.

Violeta H.

Yelp
We loved our first visit at Voff. It was less crowded and more laid back than Dog Yard yet the beverage selection is much more impressive. 35 great beers on tap!! Amazing selection of mimosa flavors. The doggie park is of a good size with plenty of sitting room on long benches. Big thanks to Nancy for providing beverages and to her four-legged assistants for providing entertainment.

Morgan N.

Yelp
Great experience! Our pup had so much fun! He is a young (7mo) sharpei, Lloyd, who hasn't had as much socialization as we would have liked (darn covid and us being committed to staying safe), but we couldn't have felt more comfortable here. Safe environment where we could keep an eye on him and still enjoy a beverage. He had a blast playing with a ton of other pups. Other pup owners were all attentive and I loved that the owner was there and monitoring as well. He was very kind and chatted with me about signs to look for in pup behavior which I really appreciated. It was clear that he took pride in the space he created and was committed to keeping it safe for all. Ooooh it was wonderfully clean too! We will definitely be back and it's a matter of time before we become members! ...and I think I need to get a tee next time we bring Lloyd because they looked so soft and a clean good looking logo. I love supporting local and spreading the word about good places in the community.

Karen H.

Yelp
We took our 1 year old puppy Winston here for the first time on his birthday!!! The atmosphere was awesome!! Winston had so much fun!! The beer and music for the owners was perfect!! I highly recommend this place for you and your pups!!!

Jahna F.

Yelp
Love this local bar! It opened right before St. Paddy's day and we have been frequent customers ever since. Good choices of beer on tap for a good price and lots of friendly faces. My dog loves going to enjoy the space with me. Excited for this summer!

Cj Y.

Yelp
We need more places like this!! I dont know why people complain about their pups getting beaten or not checking vaccines at this place. Owners are trying to do good here, making more dog-friendly places for dog owners where we can drink as well! If you knew they didnt check vaccines, go other places who checks them. If your puppy got beaten, sorry but kids scratch each other all the time. Anything can happen, unfortunately. We've taken our dog to Dogwood before. We only visited once and done. We enjoyed time there but it has cemented floor and not many places to sit. We bring our rescue dog to Voff on occasional weekends. Our dog has abusive past so doesnt have much socialization and always scared of something. But she's getting a lot better as we bring her to familiar places repeatedly. Now she hangs out with other dogs and explore places. If other dogs hump on her, always dog owners apologize and drag them away. They are so good with that! Everyone we met there are very friendly and nice to our dog. Owners dogs are so so cute too! I go there to see them lol Lots of choices on beer. I like ciders or mimosa there. We bring our friends here now and they love it too. Highly recommend for relaxing and chill dog friendly place.

Sara Y.

Yelp
This was my first visit to a dog park bar with my new puppy....which turned out to be the youngest and smallest dog in the bar. I found the owner to be neither friendly or welcoming. He was told I was a little nervous by the person I came with...and instead of offering me reassurance he told me to watch out for one of the dogs in there which instantly put me on edge. I found all the people and their pets to be super friendly and attentive to their dogs and the place seemed very clean. Another couple with a smaller /younger dog offered to go in the small dog area with me where it was a little bit less hectic as no other dogs were over there. I was excited for this until the owner insisted that his very old wolf /dog was allowed to be in there as well. Not sure why he even has a small dog area.

Yelp
Giving Voff Dog Park two stars because: 1. It's definitely a great place for certain dogs (larger dogs that play rougher) 2. It is a great concept and I really wanted to like it and the grounds seemed to be well kept I was really excited to try this place out after my pup had been to Dog Yard and had a lot of fun. It was a strange experience from the minute we walked in. I'm not giving it five stars because: 1. We were barely greeted when we walked in, they just took our money and walked off. We weren't asked for vaccination cards (which they said they do on their website) which is a big red flag to me. 2. Dogs did play rougher. I do have a puppy who is learning how to play, but she's never had issues at other indoor dog parks. Within a few minutes of being there a dog went after her and left with a mouth full of her fur. She wasn't bit, but that was a little too close for my comfort. 3. After that happened we went to the other side where there were no dogs so she could at least run around. The people who work there bring their dogs and just let them wander around, even though the website says that you're supposed to be watching your dog. The dogs kept on coming into the side yard (unattended) since the doors don't actually shut. Right when they came in, they growled and came towards my dog so we ended up just leaving because it wasn't worth it. That being said, it was far from a pleasant experience for us but it looks like there are a lot of people who really like it there! It's worth checking out, but I would not go in with too high of expectations (and definitely don't go if the no vaccine checking is a concern to you).

Kristin C.

Yelp
When we showed up we were very sternly lectured that there was absolutely no barking. Like, have you met dogs before? Also they were adamant about "no marking" inside. So we spent the entire time inside watching our dog to make sure he didn't mark and then rushing him outside to go to the bathroom and then inside as quickly as possible to avoid barking at the other dogs playing outside. The space is also very small and is full of tables/chairs that makes it VERY hard to move around. I couldn't imagine coming here with a dog more than like 50 lbs, there's no space for them. I get it, it's a nuisance, but it's also supposed to be a "dog park", dogs bark, especially when they are overstimulated in a new space with lots of new dogs. Being stressed about keeping our dog quiet also didn't help calm him. All these places are the same, so I'm not saying another similar business is better, I just think the business model has problems. Dogs bark, this isn't just a bar, it's a place advertised as a place specifically for your dog, and in that vein there are lots of dogs there, and sometimes dogs get excited or stressed when surrounded by lots of new dogs in a new place. The advertised "parking lot" fits about 5 cars, so be prepared to park on the street. Also, they don't ask for vaccination records if the owners are there. You should ask for vaccination records all the time for every single dog that comes in there, period.

Malia C.

Yelp
We are frequent visitors to Voff and have brought our dog here ever since he was old enough to visit. This is our dogs favorite place and he always leaves exhausted and happy. Voff has been a fun and safe place for our young dog to play and learn social skills while we enjoy some cold beers while getting to know other dog owners. As a dog owner we take full responsibility for his vaccinations and that he plays nice with other dogs while at Voff. It's a shame other owners don't take the same accountability and rate a business poorly because it. Ryan the owner and the young guy behind the bar offer great customer service and are prompt when responding to conflict, which is rare. We love this place and will continue to be loyal customers!

Anna W.

Yelp
I'm 1.5 weeks into a 3.5-week dog-sitting gig and have LOVED visiting Voff with the pup (we've been 3 times already and plan to return later this week). Outdoor seating is available in and out of the shade, various toys are scattered about for the dogs to play with, and sometimes management fills up a kiddie pool. For your convenience, water bowls are located all over the place and there are poop-scoop tools available if you forget to bring bags along. The bathrooms are clean and the beer selection is great. In response to folks complaining about how documentation is not required - traditional dog parks don't require documentation... dog-friendly bars don't require documentation... so take your dog to one of those places instead.

Kate G.

Yelp
This place is great. There is a core community of frequent patrons and they take responsibility for their dogs' behavior and keeping their dogs under control. Great selection of craft beers and ciders with rotating taps. There's lots of space and it's much roomier since reopening. This is a great place for owners of non-aggressive dogs. Aggressive dogs get banned fairly quickly - an advantage over public dog parks. Having been here frequently, it appears obvious that the dogs that get banned have owners who don't pay attention and/or who don't understand dog behavior enough to know the difference between dog fun and dog aggression. I've seen whingeing about the no barking. It's not zero barking it's no constant and/or aggressive barking. If you think that's uncontrollable behavior, you (and your dog) need to go back to school.

Yelp
We came here on opening day and continue to come back OFTEN with our 2 Boston Terriers! We tell everyone about how fun and wonderful it is, and the dogs are so happy that its contagious! My oldest, Bosco, absolutely ADORES Voff and is grinning from ear to ear every time we visit! He had his 4th birthday party here this year, and they let us decorate, bring puppy cupcakes for all the dogs and extra toys, bubbles and party hats! We have come here for trivia nights, parties with vendors and just on an average weekend...its always fun for the humans and the dogs have a blast!

Marcela V.

Yelp
I've been to Voff several times and can say it's a great place for doggies to run around and play. They have great staff there who seem to remember clients pretty well. I've only been there a handful of times but they already recognize me when I walk in. I've been to a few doggy birthday parties hosted here and they let you bring in doggy treats and outside food. They serve beer, wine, and sodas at the bar. There's even a room in the back that you can reserve for private parties. They offer memberships for people who visit often. I believe it's $13 entrance fee and I think the membership is something like $50 a month. I believe they have a punch card option you can buy in advance also. I might be wrong about the rates Bc I'm going off memory. The yard is very spacious for pups to play, plenty of seating for humans to sip on some beverages and fun balls and dog toys available. They have pools for the dogs to cool off in and plenty of covered space for rainy days. I'm so glad Voff is just a few blocks away.

Collene M.

Yelp
I brought my dog here last weekend and we had a great time! A good beer selection and a really clean facility. Staff was very nice and knowledgeable and there's enough room to spread out and remain COVID-safe.

Yahui W.

Yelp
My 4 month old puppy got bitten at Voff. *****This place doesn't require vaccine record! ** For anyone who care about who your dog plays with shouldn't take your dog here! !!! ** I was trying to show my dog's vaccine record to the owner, he doesn't care at all. And he told people are more concerned about kennel cough, vaccine doesn't work. ******i can't believe this place doesn't require proof of rabies shot. ******The guy at front desk is anti-vaccine. He says vaccine is harmful to dogs. The outside part is very dirty, flies everywhere. When I told the front desk guy, other dog bite my puppy, he asked where? I told him my puppy cried more than once. He said, well he's a puppy. Puppy should be bite by other dogs??? Waste of money, don't go there. My dog is very well socialized. He plays really well at dogwood Park. He made lots of friends. I highly recommend dogwood. They have staff watch dog play. And they do care about proof of vaccine! You know your dog is safe to play there!

I really liked this place the first time I went, the indoor/outdoor layout is awesome, they have great beers and cider. But, the second time we went there, my dog was handled roughly by the owner or someone who works there , and is now terrified of males. I'm bummed because it's right down the street and my dog seemed to really like it there. More bummed that my dog is now terrified of males. I don't think I will be coming back to this place. I hope that other people keep an eye out on any rough behavior. I know it's a new business , and probably has some kinks to work out, hopefully this is one of them. I don't normally yelp, but I hate to see my pup this way and I don't want someone else/someone else's pup to have to experience this. There has to be a better way to handle barky or triggered pups.

Yelp
Dogwood used to be the only place in Seattle where you can drink beer at a dogpark (legally). While they're still a good option, I've started opting for Voff for a couple reasons 1- It's 1/2 the price for you to get in 2- No requirements for dogs other than they need to have tags on with owner info 3- They have on-tap beer versus canned beer 4- The owner is always SUPER friendly and took the time to introduce himself to my dog (who just kept barking at him because my dog is weird about baseball caps) 5- Also it's way closer to my house since I've moved 6- They have events there and they have a TV screen for watching sports or whatever else might be on

Yelp
This was my first visit to Voff and I will absolutely be back! The owner and his dogs are wonderful, and the other patrons were so welcoming. I could tell immediately that this place is a community staple, and the neighborhood is clearly happy they have reopened. This is a dog focused oasis that also happens to be very human friendly. I'm already looking forward to bringing more dogs here soon!

Yelp
They need to change their hours to reflect when they're actually open to business as they don't accept customers after... I'm guessing 9:30...? My fiance and I were really looking forward to checking this place out and potentially establishing a regular spot for ourselves, our dog and our friends... We walked up at 9:45 and the guy working here tonight refused us entry while sitting on a table and chatting with a group of friends. He wasn't polite about it either...."We close in 18 minutes so I'm not serving and I'm not allowing dog entry so there's no point in coming in." As 2 former food service employees, we're pretty appalled by the way he treated us. Clearly they doesn't need/want the money or reoccurring clientele. ‍

Yelp
Ryan- the owner, has started a really cool concept here. I frequent Dogwood and love that place. While this place is not the same feel of Dogwood, it has more of a neighborhood hangout spot vibe to it. There are tables and chairs, and a whole room with sofas for the pups. The outdoor area has an enclosed heated patio and plenty of room for the pups to play. This place will be even more awesome in the summer as the owner has a lot of cool plans up his sleeve. My only qualms about my visit- my beer I ordered from the tap was flat, and I would feel much more comfortable bringing my pup here if proof of vaccination was required on entry. It would give me a lot better piece of mind for the safety of my dog. I get more of a dive bar feel here, and will probably keep going to dogwood.

Yelp
I have a tripawd dog who loves to play, but does not appreciate being constantly knocked over by a dog that weighs probably 10/15 lbs more than her. She is strong but still only has 3 legs to balance on. The said dog was, to my understanding the owners dog. This dog did not have a collar on, and was out unsupervised consistently in the yard area. He continually ran my dog over when she was just trying to play with her pup friend. Other patrons there tried to help us get this dog away from her, and would call his name to try and distract him, but he would not stop. Another patreon tried grabbing this dog by the neck to lead him out but his weight and strength made it impossible. I guess my girl is almost identical to one of his friends and maybe he was having a dumb moment but it was ridiculous. My girl likes to play rough at times but cannot take the full weight of a dog bigger than her constantly pushing her to the ground and stepping on her with her 3 legs. When my boyfriend tried to stop this dog from trampling my dog yet again, he was yelled at by the staff. All my boyfriend did was step into this dogs path so he would run into his leg instead of my dog. Absolutely no reason for the staff to make my boyfriend feel unwelcome as a paying customer. Will never go back. Don't waste your money here. Go to Dog Yard where they actually have trainers monitoring the dogs interactions and do not let the staffs dogs run freely and unsupervised if you want to enjoy a dog park/bar.

Yelp
Great place to spend the afternoon with your dog and friends! It's really nice to have a place like this in the neighborhood. West Seattle needs one!

Yelp
Came here with my dog, and my dog was ganged up on by the pack of dogs who were there. One of the dogs attacked him. There were no other people at the bar except two people who were working there (one was the owner, Ryan, who was INCREDIBLY rude and condescending to me), so I assume these were their dogs or dogs they were watching. It was a horrible experience and we won't be back.

Yelp
I frequently visit Voff. Once a week with family and friends. But today will be my last. My puppy had an accident which I happily cleaned up when asked. Bartender physically grabbed my dog by the collar and dragged her outside. Weird but okay, whatever. He asked me to keep her outside, which I obeyed. When she was outside playing with other dogs, she started barking playfully. She is a Bernese, they are not an agressive breed. The bartender proceeded to come up and grab my puppies face by the fur aggressively and pull up. She yelped from the action. I understand that you have to uphold your rules and regulations but that does not give you the right to assault my animal.

Yelp
Been here before with the dog had a good time, every one was chill and beer good. When back today and and beer tasted like crap, not sure if they have cleaned their lines since. Oh yeah my dog got called out for "barking". ... didn't know this was a library for dogs...

Yelp
This is a great place to take your dog, especially in the Seattle winter since there are patio heaters and the place is 50% covered. The beer selection is good, and the membership option is a great deal if you want to bring your dog often.

Yelp
Awesome dog dive bar with a great owner who has two VERY GOOD BOYS of his own (Magnus and Echo) and an awesome chill vibe. Plus it's walking distance from where we live and entry is super cheap - $6 per day versus $12 at another dog park in Lake City. Interior feels like a big dog friendly cabin and the outdoor area is big and well set up for active dogs. We hope to become regulars.

Yelp
Only go here if you are willing to 'take what you get.' The owner Ryan was both rude and defensive in response to expressed concerns about the environment. Entrance is not controlled and no documentation re: shots or vaccines is required in order to bring your dog here and little to nothing is done about 'problem' dogs: 'dogs will be dogs'. I'd highly recommend checking out Dogwood Play Park instead - it's far more professional and safer for both you and your dog.

Yelp
We have already been 2x in the last week alone! Think fancy dog park with icy cold beers! With the freezing temps recently this was the perfect solution- you can go stand on the heated outdoor patio getting to know your neighbors while your dog gets out the zoomies, then grab your beer and dog to go relax inside and watch the Olympics on the big screens! Then back outside to play king of the mountain dog style. The owner is awesome! This is definitely going to be our second home as the weather gets warmer!!

Yelp
This place is super awesome! Great atmosphere, nice place, great cider selection and friendly owners and staff. I am going to try to get all my friends to come and hang here w their doggos - def will be a regular

Yelp
Love this place! The owner did so much work in 2020 and made some serious upgrades! My dogs have had a great time every visit and there are great beers to sip on while hanging with friends and watching the dogs have a blast!

Yelp
This place was way more fun than I was expecting. My husband is a craft beer fiend and was impressed by the beer selection available. I was impressed by all the pups that showed up--it was a real fun dog party and we are definitely going back. Other reviews seem concerned about checking paperwork at the door--i simply see this as a great alternative to and hybrid of a dog park+brewery, both places that don't check vaccination records anyway. There should definitely be more establishments like this and we can't wait to go back!

Yelp
I have been taking my dog to Voff for the last 5 months - this place absolutely ROCKS!! The environment is fun, the drinks are great and my dog loves coming here. Contrary to some of the negative reviews below, I've never seen any real issues with dogs or staff. The owner Ryan is super friendly and great with dogs. You can tell he genuinely loves dogs. I've seen multiple staff members come out when they hear dogs who are consistently barking or sound aggressive to make sure nothing is going on. I've seen them ask someone with a dog who won't stop barking to leave or separate from the other dogs. For the most part it is, watch your own dog and keep them in line, but the staff by no means ignores what's going on. We've had great conversations with staff and other folks who are there with their dogs. It is a wonderful atmosphere and we'll continue to go and tell all our friends about it!

Yelp
We love Voff - and our Australian Shepherd loves it even more! The inside is clean and doesn't smell at all. And the outside area has plenty of room for dogs to run around. We've been on pretty rainy days and it isn't too muddy outside, and the inside stays clean and enjoyable. Dogs are friendly, and so is the staff!

Yelp
I love this place! Super good brews/cider and it's a good time even if you don't have a dog! Come hang!

Yelp
We have frequented Voff many times over the last few months. We love the concept of this place and had a blast a number of times. Throughout enjoying our visits (myself and many of our neighbors) started noticing things that could potentially cause safety concerns. About 2 mo ago a few of us had mentioned to Ryan about the metal plates that are exposed on the light poles in the yard. They happened to be sharp metal (dog height) where 2 dogs had been hurt by them. He never covered those sharp corners. Finally, 3 days ago it happened to MY dog. My dog plays fetch and other dogs chase him, then WHAM, he smacked right into the pole and has a huge gash across his next. I brought this to Ryan, showed pictures, texted him etc and he never replied nor did he cover the poles. His lack of concern, safety, and urgency in tending to issue has caused for us and all of our neighbors to stop going there. It is very sad an unfortunate, but when Ryan completely ignored the issue, we no longer feel he deserves our business (sadly, as we would take our dogs about 3 times a week). We plan on enjoying the summer elsewhere and letting others know of the safety concerns of their dogs upon going there until the matter is addressed and fixed.

Yelp
I have been going to a different Dog Bar with my dog for over a year and didn't even realize this was just a few minutes from my neighborhood which is way closer for me! I went in and the place is a little bit smaller but the lady at the front counter was extremely helpful and polite and my dog had an absolute blast running around! I will definitely be back soon!
