Vogue Restaurant

"Iconic photographs from the archives of the illustrious Vogue magazine lend the bright interior a fashion-forward touch, but it is the views of Dolmabahçe Palace and the Bosphorus that really steal the show. The extensive menu includes everything from Turkish classics and pasta to sushi and sashimi. So, you can look forward to both a knife-cut tuna tartare with fresh spring vegetables and a beautifully risen chestnut souffle with caramel and tahini. And why not round off your evening with a refreshing cocktail and a dance?" - Michelin Inspector

Amazing restaurant with impeccable service and very tasteful food. We went here to celebrate a family event and had one of the best culinary experiences. Everything was fantastic !!

The food was incredible! We ordered two salmon dishes, and the sauce was delicious. The quality of the food was amazing as well. They did charge 10% for service and 200 TL for something that should have been complimentary since we didn’t order it, but we left happy because of the great food. Everything we ordered, including one tea, totaled 4300 TL (as shown in the photos).

We went on Sunday evening, and everything—from the food to the service—was excellent. I had previously thought it was a bit overrated, but you can really have a great time there. We tried various sushi and tempura dishes, all of which were very fresh and delicious. Also, a big thank you to Mr. Hayri, who took great care of us!

Let me regale you with our dining experience with Vogue Restaurant & Bar in Istanbul. As we stepped into the realm of culinary delights, we found ourselves in a whirlwind of mixed signals that left us craving more than just a dish to savour. Imagine this: the ambience was set, the air filled with promises of gastronomic adventures, yet the siren call of the phone seemed to outshine our arrival. A melodic ring echoed through the space, and alas, the hostess danced to its tune, leaving us feeling like mere bystanders in a bustling symphony of modern distractions. While the views promised captivating beauty, the service seemed to fail to match the grandeur of the setting. More style than substance, we yearned for a touch of warmth and care from the servers, a connection that goes beyond the surface and delves into the heart of hospitality. And oh, the balcony! A promise unfulfilled as we had to remind the establishment of its allure, a subtle reminder that sometimes the advertised dreams fall short of reality. We had to ask for a table to be dressed on the balcony, which wasn't too much to ask, considering they promote you can dine on the balcony. Amid it all, a warning whispered in the wind: Do yourself a favour and venture onwards to Turk Fatih Tutak or Glens Restaurant for a dining experience of true magnificence. Vogue may dazzle with its views and affiliation with Conde Naste, but don't be fooled. For those seeking the whole culinary experience, it may be best to bid farewell and seek solace elsewhere. So, if you seek to be treated like a respected customer, perhaps Vogue is not the destination for you. Every journey holds its lessons, and in this culinary saga, we learn that even amidst disappointments, brighter horizons are always waiting to be explored. Here's to dining adventures yet to come and to find the true gems in unexpected places!

1. The view is really amazing. 2. The service is very friendly. 3. Recently, the menu has changed, but I miss the old options.

Vogue is a fine dining establishment. It’s not cheap, but is absolutely worth the price. This is an excellent place to bring a date or entertain customers. The view is breathtaking. Service is “white glove.” They serve sushi, sashimi, surf-and-turf. I enjoyed shrimp dumplings as an appetizer, and tenderloin as the main course. Everything was good. It was a little unusual for me that they didn’t ask me how I want the meat done, and that everything was brought out at the same time. No big deal. I tried a desert with goat milk ice cream and pistachios, which was amazing.

It was very hard to find for our driver, limited parking. However, the food was easily a top 10 experiance for me. The view is breathtaking! You sadly will need to finance your home to enjoy a meal here. Seafood - just next level.

Yelp
The food was great. For an app, we had the seafood tempura, which was done well. Then we had sushi & the jumbo grilled shrimp (prawns), which were all done well & the sushi plate decorations were pretty awesome. Service was great. The scene of being on the 13th floor and the water view is the greatest aspect of this place. It was the perfect scene for an 8:00 reservation (made by email on their website) to view the sunset. Prices are high, but worth the splurge.

Yelp
We were in Istanbul for Valentine's Day and this rooftop restaurant with incredible views of the Bosphorus seemed the perfect place to celebrate. The atmosphere is very romantic, you do have to dress up some (no shorts, tank tops, flip flops etc). The service is on point, friendly and fast. They have a great cocktail list as well as wine list. We ordered the calamari and octopus appetizers, which were so tender and delicious. We tried one of their sushi rolls with eel and salmon and again, it did not disappoint . For main course, I chose the lamb three ways and it was one of the best cooked and tender lamb I've ever had. Hubby had the filet and also loved it. Don't ask me what the dessert was - there was a lot of flavors and textures in this little chocolate heart! It was delicious, though I really wanted to try one of their soufflés, but I guess next time!

Yelp
It's should be one of the best place of Istanbul. Many of my friends reccomended me that restaurant at it was a very special day for me. I decide to make a reservation and request a very nice table with direct view on the Bosphore. I guess they choice the table on your arrival. As I am not a very famous personn or look like I have a lot of money they bring us on the terrasse right side on the restaurant wich only one of us could have the view from faraway on the bosphorus. When I told the lady that I request a table direct to the bosphorus she say to me that other people have made reservation before me. my first question is why you confirm if you can not afford? I insist on my reservation 3 times. She call me on the same day to see if my reservation is still confirmed and again I ask her about this table and she that everythings was ok. On the top of that we have been seating next to 20 chinesse wich had a lot of fun but it was terrible noisy so when you want to have a nice diner by 2 it was really not was I was expecting so if we have been to the other terasse would not be happend. It's take long time to get the menu. We choice a cocktail as apéritif. The cocktail was good but nothing next to it ( nuts, olive or what ever....) for my opinion if you served a cocktail around 40- 50 TL the cocktail I believe they should serve something. We orde a bootle of wine...servis was ok at that moment. Our starter. Sushi it was very delicious and the variety was good, very nice presentation. Seafood plate, I would not call a seafood plate if you serve 1 vongole, 1 karides, peace of thuna, salmon, and calamar ( again nice presentation but very poor) I use to eat seafood plate all around the worlb but this is a joke. Main Course was the duck.....the duck was very dry....I could eat but it was really the worse duck I eat...I did not want to take a dessert so I ask for Irish Coffee. I became a mixture of Milk and coffee and on the top milkshaum....I say that I am sorry but that it was not a Irish coffee. I explain that should be sugar with Wisky '' Flambiert'' Coffee and freshcream on the top 3 colors. The waiter bring me a glas with milch, Coffee and freshcream and wisky. I explain that they should not be with milk. On the way to toilet I explaint to the head waiter my problem in mean time the bartender come to us and say to me that If want the Irish I drink like that or I should go somewhere else. The head waiter did not leasten to my complain and explain to me that he has 25 years experiences etc....Just for your information I have aslo 35 years expérience and did 6 years hotelschool, Study as chef and work all around the world. ( so I know about what I am talking about it.) He start to talk to my Turkish friend and he was very rude. No appologize or something else. This attitude is unacceptable.....They should learn what is about customercare. I was always polite with them but they can't accept critic.....Everyone can do a mistake but you should accept and even if I was wrong ( wich is not the case) they should respect the customer and find a solution to satisfied the customer. I say that I will complain and he's answer was write what ever you want...Have a nice everning

Yelp
During one of my work trips to Istanbul, my colleagues took me to Vogue for lunch which was quite close to the office. This place would be a little difficult to find on your own so swing into the BJK plaza and take the lift to the top floor from the building to the right. My colleagues recommended to order sushi as they are best know for it in Istanbul. I ordered the vogue roll to start which was very good but ordered the seabass for my main as I always have good memories of having seabass in Turkey. The seabass was cook really well - flakes off and lightly seasoned how I like it. Really unexpected but one of the highlights to this place was the view of the Bosphorus. Would be lovely to come for dinner in the evening.

Yelp
- one of Istanbul`s most select and cherished venues since its opening in 1997 - panoramic view of the Bosphorus; great atmosphere; recommendation: first take a drink or two on the terrace to enjoy the magnificent view!! - reservation online did not work (as almost always in Turkey :-)); so better give them a call - service was excellent (they even do have a wine expert appearing at your desk as soon as you touch the comprehensive wine list) - they present a select menu of tastes from the world cuisines, including the flavors of the Mediterranean as well as over 70 varieties of sushi (there its a special open-buffet brunch offered on Sundays; probably you will have to make a reservation months ago!) - at the bar they also offer Turkey`s first and only molecular cocktails - starter: Octopus Carpaccio: smoked, zucchini mucver, lime salsa was just great (54.00 TRY) - main: Grouper and Scorpion Fish (for 2): fregula sarda, artichokes and bottarga (145.00 TRY) - cocktails: crazy parsley (36.00 TRY), vogue lavander (36.00 TRY); wine (small bottle: 75.00 TRY) - Turkish coffee (12.00 TRY) Conclusion: Great restaurant for a special occasion, expensive but worth every Lira!

Yelp
Pricey, and you do pay for the view. Make sure you reserve otherwise no chance of table next to window. Sushi is OK, but cold rice. Sushico makes better sushi for much cheaper. Try the tuna tartare starter (45TL) and pumpkin soup (22TL). Both were excellent. Beware of the extra cover charge and service charges that will be added to the bill! Overall a pretty decent meal, good views, but very pricey.

Yelp
No doner or chicken kebab. Nice scenery. Sushi and Rositto are alright but not the best.

Yelp
Amazing! Try Salmon, Rib Eye Steak and sushi selections. The view is the best!!! Super classy. Music is a bit loud but jazz which makes it romantic. Desserts are good too! Try Turkish Desert Plate.

Yelp
Chosen as Istanbul's best restaurant in 2002 and the most chic restaurant in 2007 by Time out, Vogue simply doesn't need to be praised since it asserts itself. Considering the spectacular Bosphorus sea view and culinary sophistication, the prices are naturally high. Entertainment-wise, it is usually compared with Ulus 29. We think, Vogue is more pretentious and posh. Wear your most chic outfit if you want to fit in.

Yelp
Very nice view of the Bosphorus, make sure to go on the terrace. The food is very good, rather western style not typicsl Turkish. Menu in English are available, as well as the staff speaks English. Prices are rather medium-high.

Yelp
Visited Vogue for dinner on April 4th. First time visit with high expectations as being an international "foodie" and Vogue delivered. We had dishes of seafood, sushi and seabass. All great together with excellent international wine list.
