Best Korean fried chicken in the bay area, hands down!!! Everything was fried to order, super flavorful, and ridiculously delicious. Our waiter was so nice, and told us his personal favorites were the crispy chicken and honey butter fries. They ended up being our favorites as well. The honey butter fries came out first, and they were sooo hot, crispy, and fluffy. The sauce was exceedingly delightful, and we were all excited to taste it on the chicken later too. The spicy fried rice cakes were nice and crispy yet chewy, and the kimchi fried rice was solid. Right as we tasted all the appetizers, the chicken came out hot and steaming. The medium spicy crispy chicken was... AMAZING! Totally crunchy on the outside, yet moist and juicy on the inside. The soy garlic glaze was super yummy and bold. The honey butter chicken was great too, absolutely loaded with that honey butter and parmesan. Some Korean fried chicken places go light on the sauces, but not this place! We also got fried oreos for dessert, and as you can see we demolished them before any pictures were taken. We didn't fully know what to expect, but it was like a light and fluffy donut with a melty oreo in the middle. Very unique, super yummy. We can't wait to go back!!!

Really tasty chicken!! We ordered boneless sweet cheddar (1/2) and crispy spicy combo (1/2). The cook on the chicken was near perfect! The breading was just right. Flavor was fun on both the sweet cheddar and the spicy. We also tried the cheddar fries, as well as the honey butter fries. So fun! Fries were nice and crispy. The dusting of flavor was a nice, flavorful addition. Portion is huge, enough for 2+. Take out only for now still. There is also a bit of a wait (20-25 minutes) if you don’t order ahead. I’d suggest ordering ahead.

Me and my husband came to this place a few months ago, the food was alright. My husband order some boneless wings but they weren’t cooked all the way through, the food took a while to make, and I understand that. The taste wasn’t the best. What I really enjoy was the fries.

Had this place referred as one of the best chicken in the area so decided to give it a try. Unfortunately got disappointed with oversauced Vons Special oven type and inability to dine in, use restroom. Call the Crispy type was relatively good. Next time definitely something else.

The chickens are overcooked and very dry. 😞 This is my first time going to this branch although I’ve been to Vons in Dublin a couple of times and the chickens were great and juicy over there. I guess I would stick with Mr Lee which is a few blocks away from Vons. Their chickens are juicy and taste much better than Vons. 2 stars because they gave me an extra drumstick.

I've been to many Korean fried chicken restaurants and I must say Vons has been the BEST one so far. The fried chicken was super crispy, flavorful, and LARGE so I was able to enjoy more and more after each bite! The honey butter fries paired with the chicken very well and added a nice sweet note. We were served fried oreos at the end that was nice and soft in the inside yet crispy on the outside, delicious! The staff was very kind and we were served promptly and with a smile. Very cool! All in all an excellent experience for those who want tasty food, quality service, and a great environment. 감사합니다

Why was this so good? I am going to have to go back again because I was surprised. These are not words I speak often even trying nice and eclectic cuisine all over the place. Enough said. A little context... kids hungry walking to Brenden and saw place en route from parking garage. Gave it a try. While waiting for food, viewed Yelp reviews and thought we might be in for a treat. What a cute middle of the block place ! This place is nice inside , love love the signage ... the food is delicious , fresh and juicy ! The service was amazing ! Highly recommend a visit here. There's tons of parking considering there's a parking garage as well as open parking in front and across the street. This place is nice enough for groups or dine in alone.

We were visiting this area and wanted a quick bite before heading home. The KFC did not disappoint! The wings were fried to a wonderful crisp without the breading becoming too soggy. The sauce coated the wings nicely with just enough sweetness and heat. Staff were nice and friendly. Definitely recommend for a quick bite or takeout when you need a little KFC fix.

Vons Chicken in Concord does chicken right! My pic once again made the Yelp page lol, so you already know this spot is legit. Lunch prices? On point and reasonable. The chicken? So crispy it could probably survive a drop test lol, flavorful, juicy, and straight-up addicting. And don't even get me started on the fries whether you go for the honey butter or the sweet cheddar, both are hella good and borderline dangerous (you'll accidentally finish the whole order lol). The staff is friendly, the place is clean, and the vibes are solid. If you haven't been yet, stop playing and get yourself some of this crispy perfection. You won't be disappointed: )

My new favorite chicken spot in Concord! This is my new go to spot for all things chicken. I love the Oven Baked Chicken and their selection of sauces. I recently ordered the Oven Chicken Rice Bowl and it was a perfect lunch!

Full disclosure, I've never been inside the Vons. I only ever DoorDash (I know, I know). That being said, I absolutely ADORE the manager/owner and I've ordered enough times from them that they likely know my "usual" which is the 6 piece boneless lunch special, crispy hot, with rice. One time I had ordered and was delivered the wrong item. I called DoorDash and they refunded me, but I also called Vons to check and make sure I was ordering the correct item and that their menu didn't change. The gentleman who answered the phone was very apologetic, offered me a refund (I told him I was already issued one through DD), and when I ordered the next time, he remembered me, wrote me a note to apologize, and gifted me a can of soda. How THOUGHTFUL is that!?!? Remember, this is all through DoorDash and yes, I order from them A LOT. It's a great deal, the pieces are HUGE. It really is 2 meals for me. And the quality is always fresh. Seriously check them out!

First time at Vons chicken in Concord, they was soooo crunchy/hot and delicious. I feel like it's a bit on the expensive end but totally worth it. The inside was nice although I ordered and left. I purchased 10 wings for 20.00 then I noticed the menu which has an All Day Lunch for 11.95 so I'll get that next time.

It was okay. I mean don't get me wrong it was tasty but I think the last time I got it a few years ago was much more saucier (the soy flavored one). The lemon pepper was good but I felt like it was just heavy on the dry lemon seasoning which is fine. Just was expecting more sauce. I will say that even though we got their a bit late, the chicken was not soggy at all. Also, for the price I'm not sure if this place hits the spot for Korean fried chicken anymore. Perhaps I need to try other flavors but it was a bit too pricey for chicken and very small portions of side dishes like the daikon. Phone order was great. Did pickup so no comment on the ambiance. Maybe every so often but not regularly will I come.

Customer service was good. Good music. Food was yummy. Family loves it here. Always love the mandoo, seafood pancake, beef and seafood tofu soup and honey butter chicken.

I've been to the Von's in Hawaii and was pleasantly surprised there was one in my backyard. I ordered the crispy fried and crispy garlic chicken for a family gathering. The chicken was a hit! There were many other food options which is different from the Vons in Hawaii that primarily offers fried chicken. I can't wait to try other menu items. Service was great even though my order was not ready on time because it was quite busy. I asked for a diet coke while I was waiting for my order and it was on the house. I will definitely be back in the future.

Since they changed ownership this place has been great! The chicken is fantastic and portions are huge, much more bang for your buck than Mr. Lee. You won't be disappointed.

My mom and I are craving for K-drama food and this place is the best choice in Concord. Food, service and price are all there. Give it a try to know and taste what Korean chicken taste like. I've heard a lot of great things about this chain when I was living in San Jose. So I wanted to give it a try! I ordered the crispy hot, which has a light, flaky texture, brushed with soy garlic glaze. And a side of the honey butter fries. It was delicious! The inside was cooked to perfection. And it was actually spicy. It paired well with the sweet honey butter fries. The inside has a good amount of seating and a bar where they offer sake, beer on tap, and white claws (they offer non-alcoholic beverages as well). It's clean and spacious. The person taking my order was SO sweet and helpful. She offered me a deep fried Oreo and it was delicious!

Best Korean chicken! I'm Korean and I know what is good Korean chicken. Our family are regular here and the owner is so sweet. Highly recommend the soy spicy Garlic wings. It is the best!

One of the best Chicken Restaurants I have ever gone to. Almost ALL of their food choices are a must-try. Love the location-it is safe and tidy, parking is convenient-just right next to the resto. Service is pretty fast. Serving you freshly cooked food all the time. The ambience is cozy and conducive for eating. 5-star guaranteed!

This place is good. Here is how I rated each item I purchased. Crispy chicken- Good, could be crispier. I do not like the fact the order comes with small drums especially when I ordered wings only. Secondly you are charged $2 extra when it's not all wings. 3 stars Japche 3 Fries- love the batter the honey butter is fine 3 Shrimp tempura 4 Cole slaw 4 Service 4 Atmosphere 3 I might go back but I would rather go to Bon Chon. Wish we had one in Concord!

Whether you dine-in or have it delivered (from one of those services), the chicken is tasty. Just enough sweet and spicy (not hot) to keep me coming back. We took "grandma" here and ate in- she loved it- and that's saying a lot. Inside the restaurant is very clean and the service is friendly. Plenty of parking, too.

What happened to this place? The crunchy chicken was dangerous hard like eating captain crunch with no milk to soften up can seriously scratch your mouth. Too much corn starch ... it was beyond crunchy to just hard... Japchae was salty. This place used to be good.

The food here is really good, I recommend the honey butter chicken and the cheddar fries for sure! It can be a bit of a wait but it's worth it. Be prepared to pay a pretty penny, but that's just how korean fried chicken is you know. When I went in the girl on aux also was playing some good music and the vibes were good.

5/10 Dittos. I've given this Vons location multiple chances but I think I'm done coping and will settle on this being an OK korean fried chicken place. It's not terrible but i would say mid. The honey butter seasoning is extremely salty compared to other places I've tried and their chicken isn't that great. For how expensive it is I expect a little better quality and taste

I ordered the food through DoorDash and got classic crispy hot chicken with and fries. The chicken was absolutely delicious however the fries were not the best. Will definitely try this place again

10/10 honey butter chicken was SO SO good. I made a door dash order through them and everything came fast/fresh. Customer service was also 10/10 and would recommend this place to anyone looking for some BOMB ass fried chicken. Deep fried Oreos are a HIT too if you're looking for something sweet shout out to the manager Hosnia for the A1 service!!!

I'm in the East Bay again. I never been in this part of Concord. Fried chicken is soul food. I don't have fried chicken everyday. I don't get how some people out there can have fried chicken everyday. But fried chicken, is glorious. This looks like a fried chicken shack. When I arrived, the television here happen to be showing reruns of Breaking Bad. It was at the part about Jane Margolis. I already saw it, but it was good seeing it again. Anyways, it was unusually empty here when it should be packed. They say the American G.I. brought fried chicken to South Korea. A lot of people out there regard Korean fried chicken as the superior fried chicken. The best fried chicken are double fried. It makes it extra crunchy. A lot of people out there have all sorts of different versions of party wings. They were some big wings, for what it was. I went with the Yang-Nyum. It got Gochujang in the sauce. And I was thinking it was only going to be coated like a lot of other wings out there, but these absorbed a lot of the sauce. Some people out there say they don't like Sweet Potato unless it's boiled, roasted, or baked. I always liked Sweet Potato Fries. It was scrumptious. I also never had a Milkis from Lotte, this is my first time and I got it in a Peach. It actually tasted like Peaches.

Serious wow. During covid lockdown this has honestly been my best local restaurant find. A few things. 1) the location is very hard to find- even with GPS. Do not go onto Galindo! 2) you can order online and I highly recommend that since there isn't an outdoor waiting area. Now for the food. We tried the regular fried chicken wings, the spicy and the Von's special sAuce. Even after an hour, the chicken is still crispy. How do they create such magic ??? The flavors are great too. Spicy is truly spicy too - so if you are sensitive to spice don't go with anything spicy - it will be . Also ordered sweet potato fries. It was nothing special. The spicy noodle rolls in appetizers were spicy and so tasty. Only thing I'd say might upset people is cost. When you order you're getting wings and while you can pick your preference - you're going to pay more here then a kfc. But honestly this is way better than kfc so I'm ok with it. Cannot wait to return. I believe this location is open daily. Other locations are not so just be sure to check.

Vons' chicken is simply delicious! Every bite is bursting with flavor and cooked to perfection. The cook definitely deserves a raise for consistently delivering such mouthwatering dishes. Highly recommended!

Went to this chicken place because it was highly recommended by my coworker. Ordered the famous fried chicken wings and some potstickers and japchae for lunch. Chicken wings are pretty tasty with mild spicy. Its not as authentic Korean chicken as you will taste in the Korean restaurant but they are very crispy and the sauce is delicious. Potstickers are just ok. They are using the same sauce as the chicken wings which i think it's weird even though i like they sauce. I don't think it goes along with the potstickers. Just personal opinion. There are plenty parking in the parking structure next to the store and it's free. I like the service there and staffs are very friendly. They also offer wet towel to clean our hands after our meal which make it very convenience.

We are Vons chicken fans. We always get some fried chicken when we are in Sunnyvale. We were so thrilled when we found out there's one nearby in Concord. We visited the place today finally. The young lady who took our order was very friendly and nice. However the fried chicken was disastrous. They over fried it and seems we were eating jerky not fried chicken. We threw away more than half of the uneatable pieces. I don't think we'll give them another chance.

This is by far some of the best service and chicken! Multiple languages spoken, fast service, asked for extra spicy and I think they delivered! While I have a very high spicy tolerance and this wasn't escalated as high as my threshold I think this is as close as anyone has come when it comes to chicken. I'll be back again for sure! Love that anime, cooking show, waking YouTube, and music were all playing adding to the amazing ambiance.

I ordered almost $100 of the fried chicken on Friday night for my mom, because I want her to try my favorite fried chicken wings. However, the meat is dry and also on the second wing we had, we found the holes.(it was shown on the inside part because my son always peel the chicken skin and then we saw the holes!) we suddenly lost appetite for eating. It was such a bad experience for my whole family!

Had a great lunch here. The cheddar chicken wings and honey chicken wings are out of this world! They are big wings and crunchy. We had some Fries and two pitcher or beers and some wings for about $13 per person. This is one of our favorite places To come after a round of golf at diablo creek.

Food is general Korean fair. It's tasty, and follows usual recipe flavors you should expect. I always get the spicy Korean pork. Today I got the steamed pot stickers and they were delicious. They have a varied menu, and also serve Korean fish dishes, which you do not often find at other restaurants. Try the kimchi fried rice!

Looove their Honey Butter chicken wings and the sizes come with so much!! I ordered a half order and thought it would be about 6-8 wings but it came with much more than that. I grubhubed this order all the way from Antioch and when the food got to my place, the chicken was still fresh and crispy!

The padak wings are a mild version of Wasabi, and somehow they manage to capture the essence of it without the overpowering spiciness!! Pretty cool flavor. The crunchy wings and the honey butter wings were our favorites on this visit... SUPER crispy & delicious!! Definitely recommend

Never had any issues with Von's before but first time ordering from this branch. Can't believe how bad the quality is from this branch. Ordered a full order of crispy fried chicken, received a box of rock hard chicken jerky. Never ordering from this branch again.

Great chicken! However service could be better when ordering to go. They need to realize some families can't come in to dine in...so we prefer hot fresh food from our local "foodie" spots. This place will satisfy any food cravings. Especially the garlic parm wings & house made sauce.

I have been to this location many times when it was owned by the former owners before the Covid shutdown. I loved the food and service when the former owners owned the restaurant. My boyfriend and I went to this Vons after going to the movies at the Brendan Theater this weekend. I was disappointed in the food AND service and I rated both two stars. I ordered the Mild Crispy Soy Glazed Chicken Wings and they were fried hard, they weren't moist and juicy, and I could barely taste the soy glaze on the wings. The coleslaw I got only had the shredded cabbage with no dressing in it. When I told my server there was no dressing, she added it and it was good, but why was it served with no dressing initially? I rated the service 2 stars because our servers were mostly MiA. One server eventually Ti ok our order and brought our food and she went home. The other server brought our check and it took a long time to get it and we had to request it a couple of times before we eventually got it. Based on our experience at Vons Chicken, we probably won't go back anytime soon, especially since we have so many other dining options in Concord. I don't know if this was a off night, but it definitely was that for me and I won't be returning anytime soon.
