The doughnut carousel is INCREDIBLE! It gave me a chance to see all of the choices quickly, and it's a super creative way to display product. Nicely decorated and clean store.The employees were friendly.

I came here because I was having a sweet tooth. I rarely eat sweets. There was ONLY 1 employee in the store. She was doing the best she could with a lot of people in the store. Voodoo Doughnut, please fix this issue. There was also donuts being ran out, since she was the only worker in the store. There should never be 1 employee in the store! I will not be coming back here.

These doughnuts are legit they are more savory than sweet which I love in the box are two Homer Simpson one chocolate ring with sprinkles one dirt doughnut and the favorite the Portland cream

Just moved to tx from Pennsylvania I was so excited to try you guys and definitely was not disappointed. The gentleman that was working was awesome he new everything and he was very friendly.he definitely deserves a raise he new his shit and by far the best customer service thanks for making my first experience with voodoo donuts the best ever!!! I was there on the 25 of June around 9 am..

The staff were very helpful and so nice. I was finally able to take my daughter and she loved it. The donuts were delicious 😋

Very good VEGAN doughnuts! I ordered the Dirt, Raised Glaze & Chocolate Ring 🍩. Freshly baked and dipped 😋. I also liked the aesthetic of the doughnut shop. Will definitely be back to try out other vegan options!

Normally I have great service here, but this last visit was awful. I ordered two Dashing Pumpkin donuts online, showed up 10 min after the pickup time, and my ticket hadn’t been looked at yet. The brunette woman who came to help me bagged up my donuts after pulling the ticket, but the donut frosting was not what I’ve had before - it was melting/dripping all over when she picked it up. I asked if that was the cream cheese frosting because it looking like wet donut icing, and she snottily told me it was cream cheese frosting in this weird condescending way. Pictures included butttttttt they either changed their recipe or this location can’t make cream cheese frosting to save their lives. Weird miss from this location.

It was first time trying vodoo donuts and I would love to come back firstly, the person serving the donuts was really kind and secondly we ordered: 1. Chuckles : this was peanuts, caramel, sea salt and chocolate taste and I like it. 3.8/5 2. Mango tango - my husband really liked this flavor. It was refreshing but too sweet for me. 3.5/5 Overall, there donuts are fresh and soft. Good quality. 4/5

Perfectly delicious! I just love their seasonal and holiday donuts. I ordered this for a Christmas get together. The pick up was easy and the donuts were so cute and such a hit. Just can't go wrong as a party tray.

Disclaimer: This review is not directly about Voodoo or their products but about their third party service. I had heard about Voodoo Doughnuts reputation and was excited to try them. However, I am apprehensive about trying again due to recent events, but I will most likely do so. I was frustrated with a recent order, but the fault is with Yelp. I ordered a few donuts with a possible delivery between 645 a.m. and 705 a.m. The situation started rocky with Yelp about my order when it was not confirmed by message until 637a with the same delivery timeframe. I called GrubHub at 704a and was notified of a new ETA of 720 by them, not Yelp or the driver. I have used GrubHub directly before and without issue. I informed them that I would have to cancel my order due to a lack of communication and professionalism. Surprisingly, the representative told me that it could not be canceled, which was an inconvenience because I was in the process of leaving my destination for an event. I reiterated that I was at a loss for breakfast and tip for a company driver that did not abide by their timeframe and did not communicate any delay. The situation was unprofessional and could have turned out differently with a courteous phone call. At 718a, the driver called after I left to inform me of his arrival. I turned the situation into a positive for someone else and told the person to leave it at the front desk. I then called the front desk and surprised them with donuts. I hope it made their day. I look forward to writing a review about Voodoo Doughnuts once I can try them.

Great staff, great energy in the shop, and pleasent dealings with plenty of the employees, their donuts are great two, bought two bakers dozen for a class of friends.

Super friendly service, nice music and aesthetic. Each voodoo donut is decorated by hand and a bit unique. Rotating carousel shows all of the different options, takes a while to see all the flavors but fun to look at. The voodoo donut is chocolate on top with raspberry filling. Not a donut connoisseur, but I bc my opinion it was not bad but not mind blowing. Think I would go for one of the more unique flavors they have if I were to come back again.

My family recently got really into the Go Nuts Donuts game, so naturally after a few rounds of the game, we NEEDED some donuts. Voodoo donuts was the perfect spot as it was open 24 hours and we needed donuts after dinner. We came here on a Saturday evening. Not too busy. There was another family dining in on their donuts, and a few people came in to order. I really enjoyed looking at their donut tower and the various donut selections they had. It was great to see the actual donuts on display (versus just reading a description) as that definitely makes all the difference, so good job Voodoo! The only minor improvement I'd like to see is that the donuts only had names written below but no descriptions, so I had to keep asking the worker what was inside each donut. A simple parenthesis (no filling) or (custard filled) would've been extremely helpful! My husband got the cannolo donut and I chose the maple blazer blunt, which is a cinnamon sugar raised donut with a bit of maple glaze and red sprinkles. We're both not fans of glazed donuts since we find them unbearably sweet. I liked that I was able to easily flake off the maple glaze and just eat a little bit of it with the rest of my donut. I enjoyed both donuts, but probably would choose the cannolo over the maple blazer blunt because the maple blazer blunt had no filling and the bread was a bit dry. The custard cream inside the cannolo donut helped offset some of the dryness, hence why I would pick it again. Overall it was a good experienced, but nothing to rave about either. I think our donuts were probably sitting there for a while and I'm sure they would've been much tastier had they been fresh out the fryer. I would come back if I was in the area and the donut hankering a strike!

Donuts! I have a sweet tooth so it's hard to disappoint me when anything sugar is involved. I have seen this Voodoo donuts a million times (I have a rental property in the neighborhood) and I finally decided to go inside. I love the decor of the place it was all pink and has framed art work, even if you go to the back where the bathroom is the space is full of art. The place is open 24/7 which is another big plus in my book, cashier was friendly and very patient they have a ton of options to chose from so I took quite a while looking through their menu. The variety is insane here there were so many different donuts to choose from I know for a fact I will come back and try more. Very creative concepts and the donuts are tasty, but now that I think about it, I don't think I ever had a bad donut lol

I've been contemplating on visiting this place for years! The first time I reviewed the menu, I thought there was just too much going on. Who would want a maple glazed with slices of bacon? Me, it's me! Oh my goodness, why didn't I try sooner? Simply amazing! Friendly customer service, clean atmosphere with so many varieties of Voodoo Doughnuts to select from. Please stop by and give it a try. I don't think you'll be disappointed and if you are, something went wrong on the day you decided to try.

Get in my belly!! What can I say that hasn't already been said. Food? Great, service? Great. I tried this place after passing it 800 million times. I don't know why I didn't try it earlier. The selection of doughnuts is insane. The doughnuts are the size of little pies, so we'll be worth the price. I really can't do this place justice, so I strongly suggest you try it for yourself.

I bought a couple of my favorite donuts here late Saturday night being one Chocolate Old-Fashioned and one Homer. Both very different from each other n both really delicious. The chocolate one was a great buttermilk cake donut with a great, rich chocolate frosting containing a crispy and starchy texture. The Homer was a great strawberry iced donut holding a soft, bouncy texture and fruity vibe. The sprinkles were very small, not too sweet, nor too crispy thankfully. You could really taste the icing n donut components. Great, friendly service on this visit. I also really like the Vicious Hibiscus, Voodoo Doll and Diablos Rex donuts here a lot too and they still sell them unlike some great seasonal donuts that come n go.

The service is friendly and prompt. The inside is designer classic albeit with graphics and merchandise. The quality is top notch with several vegan option. Easy parking surprising for Montrose.

I just did a quick drop in t grab some donuts before my flight. I'm a classic donut girl, so I cannot report on how their flavor combinations come together. GLOWS: -The cute pink boxes!!! -They have a variety of unique flavors. They also have your classic delights. -The donuts weren't warm, but they were thick and fluffy. -Everyone was helpful in the store. -The murals in the store were very cute! I had a mini photo shoot inside!

This place is so fun! I really love the carousels of donuts so you can see them all to decide what you want. Originally, we were going to get one of each but wanted to try them all so got a dozen instead! I loved the overall feel of the whole place. Quick to get in and out but also not terrible to sit and eat either. The service was outstanding, the kind that makes you wish the person helping you was your friend. Girl, if you read this, keep being amazing and kind! She helped us pick what we wanted and was extra kind and patient with my kids (who are straight-up wild). The donuts were really good! As always with donuts, they could have been filled more evenly but I don't think anybody can react control that. We tried the voodoo doll, the Boston crème filled one (don't remember what it was called, raised and glazed, dirt, and sprinkled cake donuts. Those are the ones we tried there and loved them all. The rest are for bringing home to enjoy over the next few days. We'll be back when we're in Houston for sure. Definitely worth grabbing some donuts here!

I must be honest it sounded a little chaotic over the intercom while ordering that we were going to pull off. We asked for tea, they didn't have it, we asked for two donuts didn't have it, then said they did.. almost as if they found two stale ones in the back. I'm so glad we didn't leave. The butterfinger donut was the best donut I've ever had. 10/10. It was a smooth chocolate donut with white frosting, PB, and butterfinger on top. Wow. My cousin had the strawberry donut that she gave 9/10. I personally gave hers a 3, too sweet for me. The only gripe I have is that they put all the donuts in ONE bag so all the flavors get mixed together. I made the suggestion to the cashier they should do separate bags and he said the owner would never do that. Well he should. Give it a taste.

Love the atmosphere, the vibe and the hours. Decent service. Everything was displayed with lots of options. Even a donut carousel. Got there around 9pm and all options still available. I chose mixed dozen and paid about $32. Unfortunately, they were not fresh. They weren't horrible and weren't great. May have been better if they weren't a little stale. I was disappointed, but I would try one more time earlier I. The day.

Voodoo Doughnuts had a pretty good variety of doughnuts to choose from. After standing at that glass making life decisions, I finally narrowed it down to two. I started with the classic glazed doughnut. It was not overly sweet. The dough was nice and soft but not gooey. I also tried the seasonal Apple cider doughnut which was amazing. I ate it the next day and it was still super fresh. They come in pink boxes which probably make them taste better. The service was great. They were really patient with me as I took forever to pick my doughnuts. The art on the walls were the icing on the cake. Nothing better then taking pictures and eating delicious doughnuts. 10/10

Super cute place, open 24/7, AMAZING variety of yeast and cakey style donuts. Service, excellent. I got the old-fashioned buttermilk with maple icing, blueberry, and of course a standard sprinkle donut!!! I know this may seem unimportant, but I had been wanting just a simple cakey sprinkle donut for years now, Dunkin D used to make them regularly, but to no avail at their Pasadena location. Anyhow, I was beyond happy to see it here FINALLY at Voodoo Donuts!!!

Always get a maple bar when i come across a voodoo doughnut location. I think i've had chocolate too, but tend to stick with my usual. Can't attest to the other flavors, but this one never disappoints! Service is always fast and friendly.

So on my list of got to's someday, I had Voodoo donut... thank goodness I got to come. I was craving sweets, and this place has the most fun combinations of donuts I've ever seen! I got the voodoo doll, and it is every bit satisfying to bite into and watch the raspberry jelly flow out...it's not too overbearing, sweet kinda has a tartness to it. The service was great. The young lady at the counter was patient with me and answered all my questions. And it's a fun spot to go and find sweets at.

Who doesn't love Voodoo Doughnut? If you have not heard of it yet, this location is based on the original bakery in Portland. What I really enjoy is that this location is open 24 hours and also has such a wide variety of donuts. Whether you want flour doughnuts, cake doughnuts, or vegan doughnuts, there is a style and flavor for everyone. At this location in particular, I had a specialty caramel macchiato doughnut that I actually still think about to this day.

If you haven't had a Voodoo donut, then now's the time to change that! The freshness and quality of ingredients is truly what makes this donut special. The donut may be sad, but you'll be happy enjoying the raspberry filling and chocolate glaze. :)

Fun flavors! Definitely a good place to go if you want something super unique. Hey asap offer vegan donuts with a wide range of flavors offered as well! I got the maple cream one and it's really good, however the cream with the maple makes for an extra sweet treat. I do wish they had a vanilla glazed raised classic but they only offer those with fillings.

Ok so one of the docs brought a couple dozen for an occassion. They were stacked on one another, and the box had a smell of old grease. The donuts are large for sure. I picked the raspberry filled. The filling was delightful and donut seemed almost fresh. The outside tasted of the old grease. Dang. Now i know why i drive the distance to my favorite donut place where theres no frill, only the freshest donuts, filled w jelly on request, fried in good grease, stacked neatly, served w a smile.

Doughnuts on steroids is the best way to describe these doughnuts! And that's a good thing! Voodoo Doughnuts has such fun, creative, and deliciously sweet doughnuts. Stopped by late last night to get a quick sugar fix and they had all the doughnuts we wanted. My personal favorite is the one of their classics: the Voodoo Doll. A chocolate covered doughnut filled with yummy raspberry jelly. The fun part is the voodoo doll always looks a bit different. The doughnuts are definitely on the pricey side with a dozen being around $30, but their unique flavors and quality ingredients help justify the price. I'd recommend just grabbing a few to try anyways since they are pretty big doughnuts. The shop is decorated with pink walls and other fun decor, is always really clean and has a great atmosphere.

I've had voodoo doughnut in Oregon both locations and also at Universal in LA. I was pleasantly surprised to see they had a couple in Houston. I would say my only complaint is that I wish that the vegan menu had more options. Voodoo has always been great donuts, so I have no complaints about the donuts. My favorite, especially since I don't do sugar that often is the vegan Apple fritter. The service was great, she was very friendly and was quickly able to make us donut that wasn't on the shelf. The inside is nice I always grab and go, but there are spot places to sit. This is definitely a guilty pleasure that was worth the splurge.

I've only had one donut both times I've been here and it has been the dick shaped donut. Absolutely incredible & more than worth the price. The workers are a hit and miss, the first time I went the girl just made the whole exchange feel really unwelcoming and awkward but the second time I went this sweet angel of a girl was very upbeat & helpful with personal opinion on selections, she even ended up buying the donut for me ( a revenge donut) after going through a bad situation with a lame dude & she even wrote in icing on it "hope u choke on this" Overall the service & taste made this place a very exciting experience. The bathroom is cute as hell & the music they usually be playing is kick ass.

I love that this donut shop is open past breakfast hours. The service is always great and they are super welcoming. I can't lie I'm basic when it comes to donuts. I really like their glazed donuts and on special occasion the dirty cookie.

Very apt for the Montrose art vibe. While not cheap the donuts at $4 each, they are larger than most places. So that makes up for it. I think it's cheaper by the dozen if buying more than a certain quantity so figure that into your decision. Donuts with filling have a decent amount of filling. The raspberry jam in the voodoo doll donut looked like blood. Which was kinda cool. The Portland donut was good, but nothing to special to write about. Freshness wasn't an issue when we went. I mean, it's 24 hour donuts. So keep that in mind. it wasn't fresh like when Krispy Kreme is baking them "hot now". But it wasn't stale either. Dirty bastard was devoured by my kid. Didn't even save me a bite so it must've been good. Staff were super nice. I'd return just for that.

Awesome staff and unbelievable selection of goods. Warning: Probably not a great place for anyone on a serious weight-loss diet. If there's such a thing as a donut that can make you go blind...they probably sell them at Voodoo! They're that good!!!

I was in from out-of-town and was excited to stop in at Voodoo at 9:30 am for a vegan glazed since I hadn't had breakfast and vegan donuts are hard to come by on the road. Bought a half-dozen and sat down to eat a couple and drink a cup of coffee before driving the two hours home, and....they aren't fresh. They seem previously refrigerated. I asked if these were the freshest they had and was told they were "at this time." If it had been 3:00 pm, ok. It's more disappointing because of my expectations. That means this was the first time I've been disappointed...and I have stopped by before in the afternoon. So...order 1, try it, and then place a larger order. Hey. Coffee was fresh and hot!

Ok y'all, another one of my late night shenanigans with donuts. I've been seeing this place pop up on my UberEATS app for a while, so I decided to try the three most interesting ones (to me) out of a menu of unique donuts: bacon maple bar (topped with maple ice cream and bacon), the dirt (topped with vanilla ice cream and cookies and cream pieces), and raised glazed (glazed donut). The prices are quite affordable especially for the size of the donuts! They were so huge that I took pieces of the three I ordered, about 1/3 of the whole donut, and froze the rest (Yes! You can freeze donuts). With the pieces I did not freeze, I only managed to eat one (the glazed) as it was very sweet and try a bite from the others. So, if you've cut back on sugar recently, be advised. I really liked the dirt, not sure how I feel about the maple syrup (I've never really liked maple), and the glazed was as to be expected. Voodoo also boasts a number of vegan options, just in case you follow that lifestyle. I can see myself returning for the dirt or trying out one of their other ones (there's one that's Halloween-esque - I'm looking at you Diablos Rex). All in all, these were pretty tasty. I recommend.

Not impressed. Maple and bacon, churro donut, chocolate cream filled and bubblegum all tasted Fried in old grease. Not what you would expect from an upscale donut shop. Not worth my 45 minute drive! Location is cute and they have a big variety of donuts.

Been having this place bookmark for some time, so I Decided to give this place a try this Saturday morning with the kiddos. It's a beautiful funky establishment. There's a lot of different cool donuts to try. Overall the donuts were average. There a little pricey for the overall taste.

Great customer service. These are delicious donuts. I tried vegan ones. The flavors were dirt, Apple, and caramel cream, I believe. I couldn't finish them all. My friend and I had a donut and tea tasting on our last day in Houston with these donuts. They did not disappoint, and I highly recommend this spot. I wish I could get some shipped to me in NC.

This location has more parking space, but is smaller than the other location near Washington avenue. The donuts for some reason did seem larger here and there was a line at 9pm on a Saturday! Donuts were delicious as expected at Voodoo there were only two high top round tables in the entire place. Probably not a place to enjoy your donuts, but more of a to go spot. My husband and kid always get a homer donut (strawberry glazed with sprinkles) and a chocolate dip donut each. Both are solid choices. I tried the old dirty bastard which is covered with Oreos and has peanut butter drizzled on top. It was not too sweet and twice the size of a normal donut. I also ordered the voodoo doll donut which I will try tomorrow. Looking forward to this raspberry filled donut with chocolate on the outside. What I like about voodoo is that their donuts are not too sweet and are fluffy and not dry. I'm excited that one is opening in Cypress soon!

Vegans, welcome!! There are SO many options to choose from! You thought your Bavarian cream days were over? THINK AGAIN. Voodoo donuts makes it happen! Voodoo Donuts offers a ton of options to choose from. They switch out and add flavors (ie: Strawberry Go-Tart, Mango Ginger Kiss) and keep the menu interesting. If you are looking for something more traditional, they offer the glazed, old fashioned, and blueberry cake donut as well. I had to try it all--vegan, traditional, and new. My favorites: - Vegan & New: Maple Cream - Traditional: Blueberry Cake Though these donuts may look hefty, these donuts do not fill you up! Expect this to serve as a sweet treat, not breakfast! Also, do yourself a favor and only order what you'll eat. I ordered a dozen and was over it by day 2.

My friends were raving about how good Voodoo Doughnuts was during our entire trip. The fact that it is open late was the first plus in my book. What better way to feed your hangover than with a few doughnuts, right? After trying the maple bacon doughnut, I became an instant fan. The center of the doughnut was super moist, the bacon was cooked just right and the frosted was sweet but not too sweet. All other doughnut shops have definitely been put on notice, Voodoo has the best doughnuts by a long shot!

We stumbled by this location while driving back from the Menil Museum. Of course it's pink façade was the dead giveaway that inside would be the most decadent and sweet donuts that we've eaten. Did not expect to find here (last eaten in Portland) so we were happy to indulge. Practically every flavor was available in the rotating cases so that made it difficult to pick something different. Whole Lotta Horchata was a sugar coated stuffed donut with horchata cream. It was big and full of sweet creamy filling. The butterfingering was a chocolate cake donut with vanilla frosting dipped in crushed butterfinger bars. That was a great donut combo! Chocolate and coconut rounded out the box. All donuts were fresh and hit the spot. Friendly service to boot!

We love love love.... Voodoo doughnuts so much!!! I wish we had one closer. Yet every time we are in Houston or Austin- we visit Voodoo!! My fav is the hibiscus one!!!

So disappointed! I always visit this place in Austin and I love it but this time was so disappointed! Donut was old and stale. And fell apart just tearing it in half. Cashier was super friendly but that was the only positive thing about this visit. Would not recommend spending your money here.

The Oreo cookie on the donuts where a little soggy. And not much topping on the butter finger cake donut. Over all very creative and flavorful donuts
