Yelp
Yes yes yes a million times yes. This is one of my favorite Vietnamese places in MPLS (okay, they're ALL my favorite Vietnamese places).
First, the decor. It's kitschy, it's fun, it's like nothing you've seen before. The place is a spectacle. Green exterior with neon signs, you walk in and feel like you're on a Vietnamese beach or jungle. The poles are humorously decorated as palm trees, and the ceiling is lined with grass skirting and colored lights. There are little pieces of Vietnam everywhere, giving it a truly authentic feel. The best part of the design: the BOOTHS! Get your own booth when you come here. Each has a different light, and it makes you feel like you're in your own intimate little cubby. Very cozy and private.
Next, the service. This is a tightly run operation. Who I assume to be the owner runs the front of the house--greeting guests, running food from kitchen to table, and checking to-go orders out at the front. Who appears to be his mom and dad run the kitchen. There is a younger man who out of the 4+ times I've been here, has been the only waiter. He's super efficient, polite, and very kind. Sometimes we do wait a bit for food because it's such a tight ship, but never an abnormal wait time.
Next, the food. Their Pho is my comfort food--like chicken noodle soup for the soul. Pho is a little lean on the chicken, but very good broth. I've also had a few of their main dishes, like the chicken stir fry and the Vietnamese Lo Mein. Both are very good and just the right portion. Both come with rice. I really really need to try their Bun (vietnamese noodle salad) sometime, as it's one of my favorite Vietnamese dishes, but haven't been able to say no to Pho.
For appetizers: their barbequed chicken is super moist and flavorful--get it! I also really like their spring rolls, and the peanut sauce that accompanies it is delish.
Check this place out! You won't be disappointed.
