"Voyagers is a splurge, a white tablecloth date night destination in the Perdido Beach Resort, and a chance to try unexpected dishes like ostrich carpaccio, tuna tiradito, and broiled Gulf oysters topped with foie gras and smoked bone marrow compound butter. The chicken-fried lobster, grouper, and tuna Wellington are among the creative seafood entree options, but there are plenty of non-seafood dishes here, like the Perdido-stuffed chicken, bolognese, and pork chop." - Clair Lorell

We arrived to a complimentary valet and entered to a nice piano bar. The restaurant is a little hidden but very tastefully decorated. The seating layout gives everyone a little feeling of privacy. Damien our server and all of the staff went all out to make our anniversary dinner special. We were first seated in a perfect location to watch the sunset. We were presented by Damien great drink options and matched our tastes to the perfect beverages. Our starter, fresh oysters were amazing. After hearing the featured specials and menu recommendation we chose the Tumeric Tuna and Scallops Special. Both meals were beautifully presented and delicious. The service was impeccable with timely delivery and attention to detail. We finished with the recommended 13 layer chocolate and a nice surprise for our occasion. This was our second visit. The first being our wedding night. Now this restaurant will be a regular tradition for our anniversary. Thanks for a wonderful meal, great memories, and perfect service.

10/10 1000% will recommend to EVERYONE! I got engaged here! The food is amazing, the service is impeccable, the view is also stunning! Federico(pictured) has been our waiter a couple of times and he has a way of making you feel like family! Absolutely exceptional! They put together the most beautiful plate for my fiancés proposal and also(before that) a beautiful desert plate for our anniversary! Just a wonderful place all around!:)

Can’t tell you how great the food and service is at this place! Do yourself a favor and go check them out. You won’t be disappointed. Federico was the best waiter!

Went a few years ago with some friends, and we could not have been treated any better. Wyatt was an amazing waiter, the food was to die for. Got the venison and purple potatoes. Ended up meeting one of the chefs there too. 10/10 will always recommend.

I think it's pretty cool how you walk through another restaurant to get to this restaurant makes it feel like it's a little hidden. Like you're going somewhere VIP. The ambience is great, Nice and cozy. The night we went a little loud as a table next to us had had quite a few drinks it seemed, but other than that the flying fish spring roll appetizer was great, and the entrees that we had were also good. She had the hanging tenderloin 10 oz was Just as described tender. And the Gulf grouper that I had was nice and flaky. The side however was kind of lackluster which was a cream spinach with blue crab. But the real star of the show was the desserts. I got the banana passion delight and it was the most amazing banana dessert I've had in a while. And she had the deconstructed lemon meringue pie. Overall good experience would probably give it another try.

This Restaurant was Amazing. First, Adam was incredible! Being it wasn't super busy; he was able to spend time with us and opened our eyes to some new amazing wines! We have been fortunate to travel the world and this place did not disappoint! The Broiled oysters were truly a special treat! main courses and dessert as well. We will eat here Every time we come den here without a doubt! to ALL the staff front and back Well Done!!!!!! Get Outlook for Android

Google
I cannot stress enough the need to eat here. The bar has been raised by the food here. The wait staff is extremely knowledgeable of the menu and just nice to talk to. We had seven people order 7 different steaks…..All of them were cooked to perfection. I must be inexperienced but I’ve never seen a kitchen that takes pride in plating food the way they do. If I’m ever within 30 miles of this place I will eat here. Just amazing!

Beautiful restaurant with fabulous view of the gulf. Excellent service & food. It’s located inside Perdido Beach Resort. It’s kind of hard to find you have to really know it’s there or you would never stumble across it. It’s also reservation only seating. It is well worth looking for & making a reservation. The food is exceptional! I had the chicken fried lobster. Not because I like fried food I just had never heard of such so I tried it. It was great. Jim had the scallops they were excellent. We had a mix of the baked oysters, all were delivered (the Frenchie was my favorite). Then we had the 13 layer chocolate desert. It was all great 5 star all the way around. I highly recommend this place & look forward to dining here in the future.

Yelp
We stopped by the hotel bar for a cocktail after dinner our first night there. The bartender Karissa highly recommended Voyagers. I am so glad she did! We called but since it was Memorial weekend they were fully booked. Understandably so! So waitlisted. We thought to check on our way out to dinner somewhere else, although valet had our car pulled up, when Sally was able to find a spot for us, we forgoed leaving the resort. Im so thankful because this is a meal I'll be talking about again and again! Thank you Sally! Jessica was our server. She was amazing. She was attentive enough that we felt taken care but gave us the space to enjoy our meal. It was my birthday. She brought out something special, which was so sweet! An assistant manager stopped by toward the end just to ensure our experience was great! Food wise : We started off with some dirty martinis. We ordered the fried green tomatoes. They were nice, fresh and light tasting. They weren't greasy like other places I've ordered them. Next ordered the garlic oysters. Some reason I imagined them being overwhelmingly garlic but they weren't. They were fantastic, nice little garlic, parmesan and horseradish - not overpowering, could have easily ate another dozen. Again Karissa recommended the chicken fried lobster, Jessica also highly recommended it when I asked about it. So I ordered it. I am obsessed. I will be forever dreaming about this dish! I love lobster. It was perfect, everything about the dish. It was rich but NOT overwhelmingly so, the grits were different than Ive had but in a good way, the champagne glaze beautiful! I am still talking about it!! We finished with espresso martinis and the chocolate layer cake Jessica recommended. It was the right amount of decadence. Thanks again for such a special night! Also a gorgeous place to watch the sunset.

Yelp
We were staying at the Perdido Beach Resort over Memorial Day weekend and the restaurant was booked. Sally worked her magic and was able to get us in for a late dinner as my husband was not returning from his scuba trip until 8:30. That was the first great impression. Once seated, Adam came over and said he saw notes stating I was a vegetarian and asked what kind of things I liked and the chef would make something for me based on that. We settled with a vegetarian pasta dish (minus onion and garlic as I don't like those ingredients) and let me tell you it was one of the best pasta dishes I have ever had. It was delicious! My husband had the strip and a baked potato (not the stuffed one as he doesn't like onion either). Both were really good. They start with fresh baked bread and it too was delicious. I had a bottle of wine I brought in (the corkage fee is $30) and hubby had some domestic beers. We ended with the pistachio cheesecake and it was divine. They also brought out some chocolate covered strawberries. A manager stopped by at the end to make sure we were happy and we expressed just how nice the entire experience was. The restaurant is very pretty and the food and service were top notch. We eat in many fine dining places at home and on our frequent travels, and this one rates at the top! They have steaks and seafood dishes but will happily accommodate a vegetarian request. If you find yourself going to the area, book this restaurant and you won't be sorry. It is dinner only.

Yelp
Food: Elegant, flavorful, prepared to perfection. Service: Expert, convivial without being intrusive Ambiance: Comfortable elegance overlooking the hotel pool and Gulf. Go early enough to catch the sunset out the towering windows. What's not to like?

Savannah M.

Yelp
My family of four had one of our favorite dining experiences to date! The service from Federico was astounding and it's impossible to even critique the food, my goodness, it was so good!!

Travis S.

Yelp
Nestled in the bottom of a hotel this place is touted as one of the best in the area. You certainly don't get what you pay for. Weak drinks, expensive food and a patio that overlooks the pool that is loud and unsettling is holding this place back. Food was solid but def overpriced. Service was great and very nice but way too overpriced for what you get.

Whitney B.

Yelp
Had a great dinner tonight. This has to be the nicest place in Orange Beach! Atmosphere was upscale. Service great and food was delicious

Grace C.

Yelp
Went here for my boyfriend's birthday dinner with a group of 7. 7/7 people in the group said this was one of, if not the best meals they had ever had in their life. Everything was incredible. The gnocchi and mac and cheese were stand outs. Steaks were great too. 100/10 and will be back every time.

Yelp
Voyagers was a great date night dining experience while in Orange Beach / Gulf Shores area. Reservations- while it didn't seem 100% full, I'd recommend making reservations if you can online. We were able to request a table by the window in the notes section which they were able to accommodate for us. Parking - if you are not at this resort, they have complementary parking (so just bring a few bucks if you want to tip the guys parking your car). Oysters - we got half a dozen as an appetizer, and you can mix and match if you want to try multiple flavors. We got the garlic, the Rockefeller, and the Frenchie. All were good, but we liked the garlic one the best. Wedge salad - we asked to share this and to our surprise, they pre split it. And it was plenty for both of us to have some salad. Delicious! Filet Mignon - we got it medium rare and it was cooked perfectly. It had a perfect amount of salt and if you dipped it in the melted butter it was even juicier. Gulf grouper - still very good, but overall this was probably our least favorite thing we got tonight (but that probably speaks more to the other things than it does this dish). It was a good option if you want something seafood. The corn that came with it was delicious. Blue Cheese Mac- we had plenty of food so probably didn't need to order this. It was good, but if you actually get a salad or oysters then you may not need a side with your steak. It was basically blue cheese version of Mac and cheese with spiral noodles. Drinks - I got the Pineapple Mescal Sour and my wife got the old fashioned. Both were great. Service - Craig did an awesome job. He was funny and helpful (clarifying things that customers tended to get confused about or that he thought was helpful). Also at the end of our meal they brought us 2 chocolate covered strawberries. Overall, I'd recommend Voyagers to anyone coming to orange beach / gulf shores area!

Yelp
Wow, Voyagers meets and exceeded my expectations for fine dining in OB. Fish, steak, lobster, all seasoned and cooked to perfection. From the time you are greeted by the hostess staff through the manager stopping to confirm our food and service was excellent. Voyagers was the perfect last dinner before leaving OB. We will definitely return!

Yelp
Celebrated our 31st anniversary here recently. Food was out of this world fantastic! Service was impeccable! Loved our entire night from start to finish. After rolling ourselves home, def added this restaurant to our faves list! Great spot for a regular date night and/or that very special occasion.

Mark H.

Yelp
Walking in we walked through another restaurant we tried this morning for a phenomenal breakfast. So coming through I felt good about it. Hannah greeted us upon arrival and made sure we were in great hands. Super clean and excellent vibe, this place and our server Jessica made us in the future repeat guest. I always start dessert first and end with cappuccino. For that we did pistachio ice cream to start, soft shell crab for appetizers and dinner scallops and tuna dishes-

Brian M.

Yelp
An elevated experience in a tourist town. The food was exceptional and the wait staff was very helpful especially with wine pairings and explaining some of the regular favorites on the menu. We usually split a salad and the team was more than happy to serve of two plates instead of delivering the entire salad and two empty plates. Nice touch. The view was very serene as our window side table provided a setting as we watched boats pass in and out of the inlet to Perdido Bay.

Yelp
Service was excellent. We were part of a large party and it was fantastic. Everyone enjoyed their food. I ordered the ribeye and it was prepared just right.

TC Hatice Atmali D.

Yelp
Walk ins are frowned at so, be sure to make a reservation! Place was not busy but 30 minutes is expected to stand at door if no reservation, no clue why?

Chaz P.

Yelp
Phenomenal! THE Place for a special occasion in Orange Beach. Best filet and hanger steak around, hands down. Great service, ambiance, just makes you feel special! Probably the most expensive restaurant around but worth it.

Deborah H.

Yelp
Just had the absolutely best meal at Voyagers. Their soup of the day was a Tomato Bisque made with a Lobster relish and Creme Fresh- totally delicious! Our entrees were also wonderful, my husband had the Stuffed Chicken which was tender and plentiful. My Filet Mignon was cooked to perfection. The sides to each of these dishes were absolute standouts. If you go, get the Field Peas, they have a particularly Smokey, buttery flavor that is very tasty. We return here every time we visit Orange Beach and are so happy we do, we highly recommend Voyagers to anyone.

Michael U.

Yelp
Service was good. Nice view. Classic try to cover up how mediocre the Ribeye is with loads of salt and butter. The baked potato was also full of salt, weird.

Jana N.

Yelp
Loved the whole experience. Our waitress was attentive and welcoming. Food was delicious: Pasta, stuffed chicken, and pork chop. All amazing. My husband ordered the steak as everyone said that is the go to. He said it was good but didn't have a lot of flavor. He he ever went back would get the pork chop. Dessert we had the peach bread pudding. If you are in the area, staying at the resort or want some good food, this is worth the stop.

Tiffany P.

Yelp
Really great views, and Damien provided excellent service. Presentation was very fancy, but personally I don't think my husband and I are suited to fancy dining. Wasn't blown away by the flavors, but we're not into nuance. Call it a misfire on our part, just not our scene.

Alicia W.

Yelp
Delicious food, wonderful atmosphere, fantastic service! My husband had the cowboy ribeye & I had the Kansas City strip loin. Both were flavorful and cooked to perfection! The espresso martini was divine and the seasonal bread pudding and 13 layers of chocolate rounded out a delicious experience!

Iseo Y.

Yelp
I was there this past Saturday night and we were on a 2 hour waiting list with no problems with us. The place is very nice, the ambiance is superb however, my friend and I have different dishes but kind of look similar in presentation. My dish has yellow pin tuna with lots of spices that so strong, so heavy on garlic that makes a little bitter. I can't even taste the real dish, my palate is so confused that I really don't like it. My friend is also had the same issues on her dish. Again service is good and everyone are so friendly.

Ashley P.

Yelp
At first I was a little skeptical because my fiancé and I were met with some judgmental looks by some guest. Perhaps it was that we looked too young compared to the usual crowd but if we took time to make reservations, and dress accordingly then why should that matter. Besides that, our waitress was very kind and welcoming. She described the specials very enticingly but I already decided what I wanted which was the scallops. We couldn't even finish our entrees because we were already full from the oysters and soup. The dessert was also great and what a better ending to the night other than a walk on the beach to walk off our full bellies. Definitely recommend !!!

L L.

Yelp
Delicious food with great service at the Perdido Beach Resort in Orange Beach, AL Prices are normal for an in-house resort restaurant of this type.

Ballard M.

Yelp
Best dinner in years! The ambience is quite different from everything else you get at the beach. This was a great dining experience for our anniversary trip, just me and my husband. Would not bring children, at least I wouldn't bring mine. Flavors are so different and we absolutely enjoyed everything. Our server Adam was great in explaining the different dishes and whe we asked about certain things, he gave us his personal option (that's ok, but not the best.... Thissss you won't find anywhere....) we tried things we've never had before left with no takeout box! Get the lobster!!!! Will be back again next year.

Jen M.

Yelp
We loved it! We tried ostrich carpaccio- loved it Dry aged Kansas strip with smoked bone marrow butter Filet with smoked bone marrow Some of the Best steaks we've had and we've had quite a few All the staff was helpful, friendly and made us feel welcome.

Brett P.

Yelp
Just Wow!!! This place is THE PLACE to go for a special occasion. The Best steak and service around. Tops Jesse's, Fischer Upstairs, and even Big Fish. There I said it. You will drop $300 on dinner for two with wine, hence Special Occasion.

Heidi A.

Yelp
Really great food and service, Damien made sure our night was on point. I had the hanger tenderloin, one of the best items on the menu. Next visit fish for certain, we had grouper on ice or their award winning chef would have steered our decision. Keep putting out excellence with consistency!

Brian C.

Yelp
Tuna was cold and overpriced. A little less talking from the waiters and a little more concerns on the food. I'm not here for a show just a good dinner. I've had much better food from a food truck. Too expensive.

Kristen M.

Yelp
My husband and I have been wanting to try the restaurant for years. I wish we hadn't waited so long! The food and the experience were amazing!

Terry B.

Yelp
Food, service and Ambiance...very good! Definitely planning on going back, and it doesn't have to be just for a special occasion.

Alicia N.

Yelp
We had a celebration dinner here and it was delicious! Service was spot on! I would recommend!

Brenda C.

Yelp
The food was delicious. We shared oyster Rockefeller to start, followed by a fillet and my husband ordered scallops. Our server was most efficient and pleasant. The view was the best, near a window looking out over the gulf. .

Kathy S.

Yelp
Wonderful service and food! Whitney was our waitress and truly a great young lady! Also met Jimmy the manager also very personable! Highly recommend this restaurant.

Coti H.

Yelp
Voyagers was my favorite treat while on this trip! The restaurant is inside of a hotel (there is valet!) and it looks unassuming until you walk through the door. Our service was impeccable (Jessica is fantastic). They have a fantastic wine list and even some great wine by the glass selection. I ordered a charcuterie board (perfect size before a big meal), the cowboy ribeye with bone marrow butter and crème brûlée. Everything was perfect and the steak was SO flavorful. I can't recommend this restaurant enough!

Marinda C.

Yelp
This place was really awesome and our waitress was amazing. I wasn't a fan of the bleu mac but they replaced it with the sweet potato gnocchi. We got the cold platter, the filet mignon, the baked potatoes, gnocchi, and pumpkin crème brûlée with an almond croissant. Overall really delicious and I would recommend it.

Fran S.

Yelp
One of the best dinners we have had in a long time in the Gulf Shores area! Can't wait to go again soon! Food was amazing & staff was excellent. A little pricey but well worth a fabulous meal & experience!

Kathryn S.

Yelp
Great food !great service.!Great view! What's not to like. Ordered the carpaccio and seafood ravioli. Excellent! Had a glass of Rose too!

Jennifer L.

Yelp
This was an anniversary treat for us. Atmosphere is very classy - a little odd that you had to enter through another restaurant, but once your inside definitely worth the view of the gulf. Our waiter was very attentive and catered to all our needs. Food was upscale and had prices to match, be prepared for a higher than average tab. Food was cooked perfectly and we left satisfied.

Cady P.

Yelp
Start with some oysters. All of them are fabulous but the bone marrow and foie gras oysters were treat! The fish of the day was a hit. The atmosphere is wonderful with beautiful beach views. Staff from bartenders to servers are attentive and helpful. Don't forget to enjoy dessert!

Glen Michael H.

Yelp
This is a tough review because the food here ranges from excellent to atrocious. As an appetizer, our table of three ordered oysters three ways: raw, Rockefeller and Bienville. The oysters were farm raised neat Fort Morgan, AL and were super fresh, albeit small. But great nonetheless. I ordered the whole flounder. Again, it was super fresh but over salted with excessive garlic. The salt and garlic overwhelmed the freshness of the fish. I asked the waitress to inform the chef and she said she apologized but who knows if he was sincere. My son ordered a dry aged prime rib steak medium rare. It was served rare but the flavor was exceptional. My spouse ordered a roasted beet salad with shrimp. The shrimp was served heads on and was cooked to perfection. We saw nothing that shined on the dessert menus but settled for a offering that was described as a stuffed croissant and crème brûlée. We asked if we could just order the crème brûlée. It was bad, bad, bad; dry with overwhelming pumpkin spice flavor. Sad. Fair wine selection but without origin which I always find annoying. I'm not saying to avoid this restaurant but ask questions and tell the wait staff to tell the chef to go light on the salt.

Brooke R.

Yelp
This is one of the best meals I've ever had. I highly recommend! Everything was good. We started with a nice bottle of wine and ostrich carpaccio. It was amazing! The Cesar salad was also to die for!

Philip T.

Yelp
Loved Voyagers. Great ambience and incredible food. Make your reservation well in advance, it books up quickly! I had the seafood platter appetizer as my entree.

Sharon M.

Yelp
Beautiful restaurant with amazing view of the ocean! Not to mention the food was fabulous! We both had steak with vegetables...did not disappoint. Thumbs up all the way. Service was on point as well. Great and extensive wine selection also. Will definitely return. Highly recommend.

Samuel C.

Yelp
We came here a couple years ago by accident. We were looking for a good steak. As we were entering back then, a guest who was leaving said "Oh you have to get the bone in fillet." So we tried it years ago and it was the best steak we have had in a long time. This time was about the same. We got the bone in fillet. It wasn't as spectacular as we remembered but it was still good. This go around we may have gotten more bone than fillet. We also ordered the stuffed chicken which was really good. You can taste all the different flavors. We had a bottle of the smith and hook wine along with dinner. If you are staying at the resort you have to go at least one night. If you are in town you should also have at least one night here. It is on the higher end of pricing but still worth it. We enjoyed it and hope you do as well.

Ryan W.

Yelp
If I could give this heavenly place 6 stars I would! If you want a great dining experience with exceptional service then this is the place. My review is long past due. I found old pictures I forgot about so decided it was time. The oysters were to die for. Each kind were excellent and I wish we got more, they came on a sweet platter as you can see. Very cool. The steak was dry aged to perfection. All the sides were so good I'd eat just them. Dessert was nice and small after the big meal. If you're in the area please go here, this place is fit for royalty.

Rhett B.

Yelp
Good food. Had the appetizers which are filling. The dancing floor draws us there with Lisa Zanghi performing. Without her, I'd have eaten elsewhere. Beat view of any restaurant I've visited. I cannot go a week without a visit.

Alice L.

Yelp
Our meal was terrific! Beet salad was exceptional. Hanging tenderloin, purple sweet potato gnocchi, and Perdido stuffed chicken were all delicious. The broiled oysters were disappointing. They were tiny (truly the size of a penny - no larger) and tasteless. Otherwise, it was a great meal!

Sharan M.

Yelp
One of our favorites on the Gulf Coast. The food is scrumptious, ambiance amazing, presentation and service is top notch. It's worth the price, especially on special occasions!

Olga P.

Yelp
It used to be a very good restaurant but our last experience was very unpleasant. Seats are too many and we were first seated in front of the station, then when we asked to change, they placed us at the entrance to the upper level right next to the other table so we literally dined with another couple with a banister separating our tables - looking into each other plates, shyly apologizing to each other inconvenience and listening each other conversations. Plus servers were carrying huge trays over my husband's head the entire time. Food was average, nothing extraordinary like it used to be - too rich and quite unflavored. Meat - underdone. Tea - lukewarm. Servers were the only good thing left there, but they can't make up for the other mishaps. And I ended up with the food poisoning afterwards (grouper, polenta, gnocchi or cream brûlée to blame). Unacceptable for a $300 dinner. We won't be back again, and it's a pity because we used to like it.
