This place is such a mystery. Sometimes much stuff happens here both good and extremely messed up. Many girls get roofed here and taken advantage of. Is so crazy how many stories people have about a friend who got abused, molested, touched without consent. This place is high risk for girls who come alone. Do not!! I repeat Do NOt come here alone if you’re a girl. Guys do not respect and will definitely try to force you. Don’t accept drinks from anyone without you going to get it yourself. There is lots of drug activity going on and be prepared to use the bathroom with both men and women in the same bathroom.

One of the best after-hours clubs in Philly, closing around 3:30 AM, excellent for those nights you don't want to go home. It always has a nice environment; the staff is very friendly.

This place has changed over the years. Was here recently. And it's overpriced. The music is not that great and the crowd was a bit blah. I wanted it to be a good time. But the crowd skewed towards early 20s with small pockets of other demographics. Which is fine because I like diversity but it seemed that everyone was in their own world. There was a lack of collective energy and attitude of "let's dance and have a good time". The $30 cover is too much for the lackluster party vibe. Save your money and skip this place.

Definitely some sort of credit card theft or skimming operation happening here. Would highly recommend paying in cash and based on all the other prior reviews (that I wish I read before going) would encourage people to keep a firm grip on their belongings

Vouyer is where the girls, gays, theys (and everybody in between) come to serve, slay, and stay out ‘til the sun comes up. It’s giving sexy, it’s giving chaotic fun, and most importantly — it’s giving safe space energy. The crowd is a beautiful mix lbold fashion everywhere you look, and flirtation in the air heavy like smoke. The DJs know the audience — think Beyoncé drops, Nicki deep cuts, ballroom beats, and the occasional techno switch-up just to keep you guessing. Drinks? Boozy and bougie. The bartenders are fine and friendly — they’ll gas you up while they pour you something that tastes way too good to be that strong. It’s not just a club — it’s a celebration. Of queerness. Of freedom. Of being hot and unbothered. 10/10. Bring your best fit and your best attitude — Vouyer will eat you up if you’re not ready.

If you like getting ur phone stolen and extremely crowded places where you are constantly getting bumped into the this is ur place. I was there for not even an hour and my friend and I both got our phones stolen. I talked to the bartender upstairs and asked if anybody had turned one in and all he did was flick me off and shake his head. Nobody would help and none of the workers cared. Paid 35 dollars for a gross club and a stolen phone. Don’t go here and if u do keep ur stuff locked up tight.

Definitely the best place to have one of the best nights, if you like being in the LGBTQ environment❤️ Philadelphia is home ❤️‍🩹

For weeks, I have been contemplating how to rate Voyeur, and what information would be useful to share with the public here on Yelp. I'll start by saying this is the only "club" in Philadelphia that I enjoy visiting. Voyeur Nightclub is a gay club that features three different floors, each with it's own unique vibe. To get in, you'll pay an expensive cover that increases each hour. The most I've had to pay is $30. Once you're inside, drinks are also expensive. Some bartenders will laugh in your face if you ask for a cup of water, others will hand you a bottle and not charge you. The music is consistently on point, the lights are so much fun, and the confetti that falls later in the evening is a great touch. The overall experience is worth the cover charge and expensive drinks, but I write this as someone that stops by on a once or twice per month basis. If I were to come to Voyeur every weekend, I'd be broke and exhausted. The bouncers can be rude, they might also hit on you. Each stop along the way at this club is a hit or miss customer service experience. Just know that once you're inside, you will be provided with everything you need to have the time of your life.

The staff at this establishment are extremely unprofessional. My phone was stolen and I asked one of the security guards for assistance... of course received none and then one of the security guards beat the shit out of me and stole my bag and wallet. Police were called, i hope this place gets shut down. Wish i could give 0 stars.

Pickpockets stole my phone, id, debit card, as well as 3 other friends who had their wallets, phones, cards, and passport stolen. forced to sign waiver before entering and refuse to tell you what it's for. bouncers were extremely rude and told our friend to go f**k herself for asking for help after realizing we got pickpocketed, all they do is scan id and stand there, fight happened and they didn't even attempt to stop it. music was fire tho

After ordering a drink I was handing the wrong drink. I told the bartender the drink was a vodka soda not a tequila water and that he somehow messed up a two ingredient drink. I was bombarded with insult and told to just drink it and buy another drink. I do not recommend

I've been coming to this place for 5-6 years, but it's different now. Last night was awful. First, when we came in, we had to sign a waiver. I read it, and it basically said that if something happened to us inside, we couldn't press charges against the club. One of the bouncers told me that a lot of people were getting robbed inside and to be careful. The place was empty, but the music was still amazing. When I came out of the bathroom, someone pulled my bag, took my phone, threw my bag and ran upstairs. I told the bouncer what happened and that the guy was upstairs wearing a green shirt. He laughed in my face and said that "it wasn't his business." While we were having this conversation, two other girls came up, saying their phones had been stolen too. I left and talked with a different bouncer, who also didn't care. Then another girl and boy came up, saying their phones were stolen as well. I decided to leave but stopped to ask a police officer about what to do in this situation. While we were chatting, a different guy came to report ANOTHER stolen phone. I won't be coming back to this place. If you do, just be extra careful with your belongings, and good luck with the bouncers

FULL OF PICKPOCKETS!!!!!!! DO NOT GO HERE UNLESS YOU WANT TO HAVE YOUR CARDS STOLEN!!!! Last night TWO of my friends were pickpocketed. Their cards were stolen straight out of their wallets/purses are were charged for $800 & $125 in Delaware, but the pickpockets only took the cards & left everything else. Not worth the risk. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME HERE

Voyeur can be so much fun , once you get in... the cover is insanely overpriced for what it is though and they really over charge. People are typically nice there except when some creepy people are let in. Drinks are expensive. Really one of the only clubs in Philly though so every once in a while it can be fun. If you want to get your phone stolen, this is definitely the place for you! Mine was taken right out of my bag by some loser (no idea who they were but saw my phone on the Jersey turnpike by Newark at 4:30 am before they turned it off and than turned it back on Monday showing it in Long Island). No idea why someone on Long Island is coming all the way to Philly to go here when they can go steal phones in New York City which is much closer! Staff is completely unhelpful when it comes to stolen phones so thanks guys!

I went here with a group and literally everyone said the service was terrible, music sucked and most importantly the people who go here are just generally weird. A girlfriend of mine said a dude came up to her and asked to buy her a drink while her arm was on another girl... like

I was there Halloween night it said "free entry before 1 am" on the clubs Instagram, we got there at 12:15 and they said it was 20 dollars per person entry that management told them to charge everyone that came after 12. Very messed up cuz it said it was gonna be free on IG

I got my wallet stolen here a few months ago. There are thieves lurking in this neighborhood. Be careful and on guard, especially at this club.

Be careful! Sadly this place is no longer safe, the theft is outrageous. The last night I was here around 8 phones were stolen, and 2 were tracked to the same place. After looking at the other reviews posted, the staff must be in on it!

Best club in philadelphia!! Dancing, music is insane and lots of people- great crowd!! Drinks are reasonably priced, and place is clean and in a very safe area I Philadelphia! You should try this place out if you're looking for a fun night out to dance and meet new people!

This place is downright awful. The food was terrible and had hair in it. The club is a hangout spot for scammers and thieves. I literally had my phone stolen and the security guards did nothing about it. The servers were awful to me and my friend. The dj kept playing the same song over again. I you want to have a nice night in Philly, Don't come here. Trust me, DON'T

Last night My niece lives in Philadephia and her boyfriend came to visit and she wanted to show him how much fun she had at her establishment, it's a shame that the experience was a disaster thanks to her security staff who gave her instructions for him to move from the door from the bathroom where he was waiting for my niece, he followed instructions and once at the exit door they pushed him and caused unnecessary damage... how do you go from one environment to have a good time and they abuse the clients who bring others "so well it's over" it was a nightmare and if they are there to provide security because they didn't take out those who were having sex in the bathrooms, or people who didn't follow instructions and for doing so they gave him and even tore his shirt, lip and nose completely unnecessary

I love Voyeur! It's such a fun, eclectic club. Welcoming and inclusive of all crowds. A really good time. Great place to go out dancing. Music selection is good. Everyone is friendly.

My sister went to this nightclub with her friends, and two of them had their phones stolen. She left the club to search for her phone and the bouncers wouldn't allow her back in to reunite with her friends. She was laughed at and mocked by the bouncers, and left outside alone, in Philly, at 3 AM, without her phone to contact her friends despite having the bracelet showing she was previously allowed in. This is the part that I'm more angry about. That is NOT how you treat a vulnerable person. They didn't even offer to call the police for her. Judging by the other reviews complaining of stolen items, I wouldn't be surprised if this club is in on that operation. Stay far away from this place.

DECLARING A THEFT EPIDEMIC. had my phone and credit cards stolen, staff was absolutely useless, rude, and completely unhelpful. it has been baffling to see millions of other people share their similar experiences while Voyeur remains silent. mind you these broke people aren't even getting anything from these phones. they end up in landfills and for why, because they needed to make that cover back? and if ur paying $35 FOR A COVER U SHOULD AT LEAST FEEL SAFE AND NOT WORRY ABOUT EVERYTHING BEING STOLEN FROM YOU

Fun atmosphere but way over priced for $35 cover when they are only open a few hours and close early. Also had my credit card and $100 stolen out of my wallet somehow even though I always keep my wallet on me or right in front of me. Predatory and aggressive vibes from both the people working and not working. Not sure I would ever go back.

This establishment denied us entry for drinking ~water~. Then we were called "confrontational" because we asked why we could not be allowed in??? I'm very confused. I felt uncomfortable for the first time by this establishment. Seemed extremely homophobic because we genuinely did nothing wrong. Shocked.

Watch out for the ATM at this club! It has a damn skimmer. I took money out of the machine, and sure enough 3 days later. I received a fraud alert from my bank because some scammer tried to purchase food at Circle K, Coke and things at TJ Maxx using my card number. Rip off, artists! Karma will manifest, and good things will never come to fruition when you do bad things to others. So not cool! I'm glad I caught this.

I used to be such a fan of this club. Last night I was pickpocketed and my friend had her phone stolen. This is ridiculously out of hand. The head of security claimed that they are discussing ways to minimize pickpocketing however I do not fully buy that given the simple fact that it has clearly been an issue here for quite some time. Also, the bouncers tried to tell me that I couldn't wait outside of the club after close for my friend who's phone was stolen. They claimed that they "own the sidewalk" I couldn't help but laugh because that's an absurd claim. The city of Philadelphia owns the sidewalk, I can stand where I please. Also, generally security has been so nice to me here prior to last night. After I told them what had happened they were rude and unhelpful. I understand there is only so much they can control but if someone is paying $30 for cover they shouldn't have to worry about having all of their things stolen.

This club was pretty decent. I drove in from NYC and decided to come here after finding out this was the only place that stay open late. I did learn a few things in the process though. First of all don't come here until midnight ... it's slow and the downstairs isn't open yet. Do not smoke a cigarette on the side where the bouncers are standing or you will be screamed at. If you are gay and are looking for a gay Only scene then this is NOT it. By 1 am the straight couples had over run the entire downstairs area. The music was great and the service was good lol my drink was strong so I was happy :) Also want to mention not to judge the place by its exterior. On the outside it looks like a warehouse but inside is beautiful so make sure you pregame at Woodys then head over to this after your spot!

Over priced lame club. Not only is there a cover charge to get in but it was $110 for 4 drinks. The staff was nasty and the bouncers were so rude. Visiting from nyc and i would never return to such a horrible club. The music is circa2008

Been coming here for 4 years now - best spot to let loose and have a great time with your friends. Fantastic dance floor vibes. Cover is steep but stays open late and each floor is a different vibe - something for everyone! After COVID I appreciate places like this even more than before.

This is a FANTASTIC club! Every time I've been here the drinks are great..the atmosphere is fun...really a gem in Philadelphia!

was super looking forward to going in here and had a great first ten minutes! some girl dropped her Jean jacket on the floor and next thing you know some guy is punching me in the face for trying to be nice and trying to pick it up for her. disgusting and no bouncers even tried to kick him out.

The bartenders here are absolutely rude and repulsive. The one refused to serve me drinks without explanation. I was having a good time til a black gay bartender denied me service for no reason and I asked him if he was closing and he did not respond either. I was having a goodnight until that [redacted] ruined my night. Thank goodness for the other bartender, Puk, who served us politely. And the bathrooms in this place are filthy.

This is the only place to be on the weekends! Best after hours spot in the city. Great staff and music. The drinks are good priced and pack a real punch. I come here every weekend to see my fave bartender Regan. Check him out on the top floor hip hop bar. Tell him James T sent you!

We went on Saturday 08.11.2018. It was about 2AM-3AM (ish). And it was packed! To the point you couldn't move without elbowing someone. I would say it was more "straight" than "gay". A lot of straight couples and the occasional gay group. They claimed it was gay, but it wasn't really. The straight guys seem to have an attitude like "I'm straight, get away from me" type deal. I wouldn't go back. Kinda sucked.

Usually have an amazing time every time I come to voyeur! Some of the best endings to my night have been here but BEWARE of the bar on top floor in the hip hop room as they will overcharge you for drinks that you Don't even order. The bartender Regan overcharges you. Bring cash only and do not give your credit card.

Pure is a large venue in Philadelphia's gay neighborhood. It's multi-level and has a dark downstairs bar. The ambiance is pleasant. They have awesome music - techno and house when I was there. The crowd had a lot of energy and my friends enjoyed Pure since there was lots of room to dance. Cover is steep for the area but on their site you can purchase a membership which gives you discounts, like free admission: - Mondays-Wednesday, anytime - Thursday, Friday, Sunday, before 1 AM - Saturday, before midnight

Boyfriend and I were pushed by some str8 dudes. Boyfriend bloody lip, me with a bump on my head. Talked to security they let them stay!

I've been going here off and on for years and every damn time I have the best damn time !! The staff there is always so nice and the drinks are strong multi levels for multi amazeballs time; you can always catch a vibe on one of the floors! Can't wait til Next time !!!

I loved this place! Probably the most fun I've had in Philadelphia thus far, especially for a Thursday night. One of the few places that stays open till 4am. The music was amazing, good mix of top hits and hip hop. The crowd was good. The people were friendly. I had such a good time. I'll definitely go back!

This place is kind of a staple go-to after hours bar in Philly. I honestly love the set up of this place. It's a real club atmosphere versus that of a typical bar. It's located right in the gayborhood, and if you pay admission for woody's, you're granted free access before 2 AM (I believe anyways.) The only cons to this place, in my opinion. Admission can be pretty costly and drinks are outrageously priced. Still would recommend going though!

The club is great, but is no longer for LGBTQ people. It is too many straight people. Really sad that queer people don't feel comfortable here anymore. But that's life. If you're straight and like to crash queer people's fun, this is the place for you :)

One of the best nightclub with great music. Not sure why they charge $15 for entry, overprice! Best part of my visit was the bartender Ashley! I stopped by Wednesday night and she was handling the bar all to herself. 15-20 customers and she didn't even panic. That's a a true professional at work. Thank you for your service Ash!

way too expensive. $35 cover is so extreme. i paid for the cover and it closed 40 mins later, should of had been cheaper. unfair and unreasonable

This place is awesome. My friend and I (he's gay and I'm straight) had an AWESOME time. It's categorized as a "gay" club but I assure you it gets a fun mix of people after 11. Drinks are reasonable. And being from NY, I wasn't used to the $15 cover at the door. But honestly, it's worth it. We were in philly for an overnight and were so glad we came. It's honestly a modern day Philly version of NYC's Webster Hall. They have multiple floors - different music/DJs per floor and TONS of photo ops. Not to mention, a RUNWAY! This place is cute AF and SO FUN. can't wait to have another excuse to come to philly to hangout here.

This Bouncer picks and chooses who he is letting in the club. Sounds illegal and he discriminates against young pretty girls. Maybe because he can't get one ? Not sure. He quizzed my 22 yr old sister on her ID info... She got it all right because ITS HER ID and he refused to let her in. He was arrogant, prejudice and refused to give us his name. I also paid $40 for cover that I want back because I had to leave with the rest of my group. Its sad to see someone have little man syndrome and take it out on random patrons.

The cost to get in depends on how attractive you are. I'm not even kidding or exaggerating.. before you go inside, one of the bouncers gives you a little card with the price you'll have to pay at the registers once you go inside (what I previously thought was based on whatever guest list you were on, etc). Tonight, I was given a $15 card. My friend was given a $10 card. I immediately asked the bouncer why I couldn't have a $10 card, since my friend was given a $10 card and I didn't know why I was going to be expected to pay $5 more than him. His response: "The reason you're paying that.... is because.. that's just the way it is." Needless to say I turned right around and walked away. I've been here a bunch of times before and had no problem paying a cover (the same price as everyone around me), but after tonight's situation, I'm never giving this place my business again. I guess I'm just fugly enough that this business needed $5 extra from me so that I could be SO privileged as to merely grace it with my presence. F*ck this place.

So I'm giving this place 3 stars because while it's so much fun, the service is really lacking. I've been twice now and both times were so much fun, until the last one wasn't. First off, the cover is high and fluctuates $15? $20? depends on the night. I get it, this is one of the only legit after hours spots, but it's still Philly. The drinks are also kind of high in price. I love that there are 3 floors with different music- depending on your mood you can choose a room and still have fun. Now the trouble. The last time I was there, it was Friday and not crazy busy, but a decent sized crowd. I had a bit to drink, but I wasn't very drunk. I could still walk, function and all just fine. My friends and I went down to the bottom floor to use the bathroom and while going down, one of the bouncers took my arm and escorted me out. I didn't understand what was going on until we got outside and he said I had to leave. What?! He said I was stumbling on the stairs and too drunk to stay. Like dude, I have on 4 inch heels, your stairs are uneven, it's dark and I'm not 100% sober, of course I'm going to teeter. But, he didn't care. I told him my friends and my stuff were still inside and he told me to call them and tell them to meet me outside. Their signal in there isn't the greatest and my calls kept going to voicemail and my messages were waiting to send. It's winter, the middle of the night, and while there are people around- including a few bouncers- I'm still a young woman alone. I'm crying when my friends come out and a manager walks up asking what happened. I told him and he kindly apologized for the situation and told us we could go back in if we wanted. This is after I stood outside for about 20 minutes. Ugh. This was a real turn off. I had a lot of fun the first time and the second before this whole ordeal, but I don't know if I'll be back.

Bartender Jeff on Tuesday nights is extremely rude and impatient. Making wrong drinks and get mad when u have them remake your incorrect drink. Get a new profession team. This person isn't worthy

Was fun until my phone was stolen. For context, I'm generally very careful about these things-my purse was in front of me but both pockets had been unzipped and searched. While looking for my phone I learned that the same thing had happened to two other girls (that I know of). Bouncers and staff were so incredibly useless and unhelpful. I called the police station to file a report and the guy who took the report said that the same thing had happened to a few people when he was working near the area a few weeks prior. Seems like a regular issue so just keep an eye out on your belongings.
