I came here for my birthday and was honestly really disappointed.
They usually have entertainment, but there wasn't any this time, which made the atmosphere feel flat. We had to wait at the bar because they wouldn't seat us until half the party arrived, even though I had already paid a $200 deposit for a large group. The Strawberry Paradise drink at the bar was the highlight (super good, kind of like a strawberry white linen).
When I told them it was my birthday, they asked if I wanted to do a "carousel" experience and explain what it was but didn't openly share what it cost. They just asked me yes or no. When I asked how much it was, it was over $90. That just felt strange and felt like they were trying to upsell.
The food took a really long time to come out. The staff did check on us once to mention the kitchen was backed up, but it was still frustrating waiting so long. When it finally came, it wasn't as good as before. A few of us ordered the scallops, and unfortunately we all felt nauseous afterward, which ruined the rest of my birthday evening.
My friends also wanted to do something small for me, but the restaurant charged $15 for a tiny dessert with a candle, which is usually something restaurants comp for birthdays. Even after appetizers and drinks, we left still hungry and ended up going somewhere else.
The atmosphere is nice overall, but you can tell the place isn't being taken care of like it used to be and I don't think it's been open for even a year yet. Bathrooms were clean, but there was a weird leak with a towel wrapped around it.
Overall, this place just isn't what it used to be. I don't see it being open much longer if this is how they treat their customers. Between the long wait, mediocre food, extra charges, and everyone feeling sick after, it made for a really disappointing birthday experience. I do not plan to ever go back unless there is new management or new owners.
