Disappointing Experience for a "Fine Dining" Restaurant
We were really looking forward to treating ourselves to a fine dining experience, but unfortunately, this restaurant fell far short of expectations. We loved the 1920s theme of the restaurant, but the experience didn’t match the atmosphere. To start, my husband ordered a lemonade and received some kind of pink lemonade 20 minutes later. He politely switched to a Sprite, which never came. After waiting again and eventually going to ask for one himself, was given one in a styrofoam cup (not fine dinning) only for our waitress to bring one afterward, saying, "Well, I didn't charge you for it," as if that excused the delay and confusion.
Our food took over an hour to arrive. When finally got our food, my husbands steak was so overcooked it tasted like charcoal—he tried to eat it to avoid ruining the night. However when I noticed his agitation I tried a bite and actually had to spit it out. When we brought it to their attention, the response was, "Well, he ate some of it, so there's nothing we can do." Really? At a place that markets itself as fine dining?
When we mentioned the excessive wait time, the waitress said, "Well, it's fine dining." That might be acceptable if the food and service actually reflected that standard, but neither did.
To top it all off, the atmosphere was ruined by the thumping bass of live music coming from the patio. We were told we could not move to a quieter table. It wasn’t relaxing or refined—it was distracting and overwhelming.
We expected a high-end experience and were met with slow service, poor food quality, and a chaotic environment. Definitely not worth the price or the hype.
