The Best Rooftop Bars and Restaurants in New Orleans | Eater New Orleans

"Located on the penthouse level of the Marriott’s SpringHill and TownePlace Suites downtown, Vue is one of the newer rooftops open to the public in New Orleans, with sweeping views of the French Quarter and Mississippi River. Beyond its full bar and cocktail menu, there is also food to order: think small plates, flatbreads, sliders, and desserts. The aesthetic is sleek and modern, with white, red, and blue touches. Be prepared for regular private event closures." - Clair Lorell

Honestly, not impressed. As soon as you arrive, there’s no menu to see the full list of cocktails, which is already a bit annoying. The drinks are served in plastic cups, and honestly, they don’t taste great. Overall, it just wasn’t that good. Wouldn’t really recommend.

Gorgeous view of New Orleans. Great technology they use to learn about the city. It is so cool. Check out there website. The walls are inner active .and the 34rd floor, is a cafe and indoors. Also take a walk out side and see a 360 degree all around New Orleans.

This place has a lot of potential! It isnt located in tge most desirable high traffic area, so one has to come closet towards highway I-10. Drinks are ok, nothing to impressive, but the view and atmosphere is what makes up for it all. They could really use more friendly, welcoming staff, that are actually happy they showed up to do what they do at such uniqie vanue. Outdoor furniture is nicely designed and well placed for when the place gets busy, so people can freely move about. Restrooms were clean and nicely done. Would definitely come back here when I'm in town next, to see what has changed.

What a perfect view of Canal Street! The hotel is a bit untidy on the bottom floor. But once you reach the "vue" it speaks for itself. I truly enjoyed my experience! If you are on Canal definitely stop by for one of the best sights in the city!

Great small plates menu, amazing vibe, and a truly unparalleled view. Definitely check it out if you're in town.

What a cool spot that lives up to it's name! The view from the rooftop bar is 14 floors up and overlooks the city, so beautiful! It got a little windy so I recommend bringing a jacket for comfort. Shawn and Mike were super personable and enjoyed chatting with them! I'll definitely be back next trip to NOLA!

Such an amazing experience. I couldn't have enjoyed Vue Orleans more! This is an interactive history exhibit/observatory where you can learn about the great history of New Orleans while enjoying the best views in the city! The staff and management have done a great job. Very friendly and accommodating to make it the best experience possible for each customer. You can move through the exhibit in 30 minutes or really soak it in for 90 minutes! If you're in New Orleans and looking for a fun experience, I recommend you pay Vue Orleans a visit!!

Yelp
Vue is a new, immersive experience that is next to @fshotelneworleans on Canal. The exhibits go over 300+ years of New Orleans history. From the iconic music to the well-known FOODS! I took my kids and they usually fight. I didn't have to break up one fight they were so into the tour. The Vue is open daily from 9:00am-5:00pm. Make sure you check them out! Perfect for Date Nights.

Yelp
I was looking for a rooftop bar / lounge to go to with the fellas and this place has some breathtaking views of the city. We were able to get in here without being a guest at the Marriott that it sits on top of which was cool. However as far as the bar is concerned - their stock is very limited and the bartender seemed a little overwhelmed just from making a couple drinks. They are also kind of pricey but I guess that was to be expected. If you're in the area and looking for a quite place to chill with a nice view - this is the place - just expect to pay a premium at the bar and expect there to be no service out on the balcony because well - there is no wait staff.

Yelp
This place is a hidden gem. The gorgeous views, the chic decor, friendly staff and good food earns this place five stars. Great drink specials and personalities only NOLA can provide make this place an experience. When you get there, make sure you get to know Tisha, Gary and Lindsay. They will treat you right! These guys define easy in the Big Easy!

Yelp
Stopped by on a Friday night and was surprised to find there was a DJ who played tunes from the 2000s-present. I had heard that Vue was a quieter place to grab drinks, but it turned out to be pretty poppin'! Great views and friendly/attentive staff who walk around to ensure you have a drink in your hand if you need it. The seats were all super wet when I went, even though I didn't think it rained earlier on in the day? But it's a very cute setting with a beautiful view of Canal St. I had the NOLA, NOLA cocktail ($12), which was just alright and came in a small plastic cup.

Yelp
Our first time to really hop the rooftop bar/lounges. Of the four we went to last night, The Vue was the most charming and the view...wow. A nice selection of local and ipa beers and a good choice of interesting cocktails. The music was great for the atmosphere and volume was perfect for us to still carry on a conversation. Courtney and her krewe were fantastic. We WILL be back!

Yelp
Coolest, new rooftop bar (open to the public) in NOLA with views of Downtown, FQ, Mississippi River and Algiers Point. Excellent craft cocktails and stellar food. Very comfortable outdoor seating makes it easy to enjoy a few drinks with great company.

Yelp
After checking around, I heard this was the best rooftop in New Orleans. So I gave it a try. Definitely a great experience and very cheap happy hour drink specials. Decently spacious lounge vibe, live DJ, and even small bits.

Yelp
Their craft cocktails are so good and unique compare to other casual bars around. Customer service is 5 stars as well.

Yelp
Rooftop wasn't open tonight which is weird because their website says they do thirsty thursdays and today is Thursday... terrible communication.

Yelp
Love this place! Excellent service and vibe. Gorgeous views. Can't wait to go back and enjoy a red wine and a cool breeze

Yelp
Visited this rooftop bar for a private party. Parking is terrible, but everyone knows that going anywhere around downtown NOLA. I also had no idea one needed a room key to go to this floor. Thank goodness the front door guy asked if we needed assistance since we looked confused. Could have more of a selection of alcoholic beverages, but... it's still new. It's also a bit off the beaten path, but the view is really nice. Comfortable seating areas with trendy furnishings. If you have a hot date or a good group to have fun with, it's a very cool place. I'm sure this will be a new hot spot. Who doesn't like a snazzy little rooftop bar? I'll definitely be back to have another great night.
