Celebrate International Chardonnay Day at These Boston-Area Spots | Eater

"First, you spot the wall of old black-and-white photos and sense the welcoming family vibe. Then you realize everyone working here looks related, from the bartender to the guy in the back rolling out fresh pasta. Indeed, Lisa LaMonica runs this Winthrop Italian spot with her four sons. Since opening a couple of years ago, they’ve been sharing family recipes with the community with much aplomb. Linguine with clams really does hit differently when made with fresh pasta. Alongside some Harken Chardonnay? Chef’s kiss." - Molly McDonough

From the very first bite to the last sip of wine, this Italian restaurant completely exceeded every expectation. The entire experience felt like a warm, elegant embrace of authentic Italian hospitality, from the service to the flavors that danced across each plate. We started with the lobster arancini, and they were pure perfection — golden brown on the outside, with a delicate crunch that gave way to creamy risotto filled with tender chunks of lobster. The flavor was rich yet balanced, enhanced by a light drizzle of lemon aioli that brought everything together beautifully. It’s one of those appetizers you instantly know you’ll order again on your next visit. For the main course, the chicken parmigiana was absolutely outstanding. The chicken was tender and juicy, coated in crisp breadcrumbs and topped with a velvety tomato sauce and melted mozzarella. It had just the right amount of seasoning and was perfectly portioned. Each bite was comforting, flavorful, and full of that classic Italian soul that makes you smile with every forkful. Then came the cioppino, which was nothing short of extraordinary. The broth was deep, aromatic, and packed with fresh seafood — mussels, shrimp, scallops, and tender fish — all cooked to perfection. It was a dish that showcased both the kitchen’s skill and its heart, with layers of flavor that reminded me of coastal Italy. Beyond the food, the ambiance made the experience even more special. The staff were genuinely warm and attentive, always ready with a smile or a recommendation. The cozy lighting, soft music, and overall welcoming atmosphere made the meal feel both relaxed and refined.

We came to Boston hoping to find a truly authentic Italian restaurant. Well, when Momma greets you and seats you, one son makes and brings the drinks, another son prepares the food and another brings it to you table, you’ve found the right spot. The passion and creativity in the cocktails and all the dishes were SO evident. We started with the meatballs appetizer (put them to the test right away). Truly the best we’ve ever had, it was dueling forks as we fought for the last couple of scraps. She got the Chicken Parmesan and I opted for the Veal Picatta. The dishes were perfect, pasta cooked just right and the savory sauces and protein made for a delicious version of these traditional dishes. And as it should be, fresh shredded Parmesan added to order tableside. The cocktails were incredibly creative. Check the one pictured, where the drink tastes exactly like the cookie on top. Wow. Their average rating on here being “only” a 4.8 is criminal, this is one of the best dining experiences I’ve ever had. 6*

I recently had the pleasure of dining at this delightful Italian restaurant, and it was truly one of best culinary experiences I’ve ever had! For our entrées, my friend enjoyed the lobster pasta, his wife savored the scallops over cauliflower mashed potatoes, my wife had the perfectly cooked salmon, and I relished the veal pasta. We started with a watermelon salad, chicken-wrapped prosciutto, and a tomato and goat cheese flatbread—all bursting with authentic so Italian flavors and the freshest ingredients. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, making us feel right at home. The owners, especially Lisa and her sons who manage the kitchen and bar, were incredibly hospitable, polite, and professional. The drinks were also fantastic—we sampled a margarita, an old-fashioned, some wine, and a cocktail, all of which were exceptional. Overall, this restaurant deserves a Michelin star for its outstanding food, reasonable prices, and impeccable service. I can’t recommend it enough and can’t wait to come back! Ps: I meant to take pictures of the dessert but unfortunately it looks so good. I devoured it before I had a chance to take pictures.

If I could give a zero for service I would. We went in with a family of 4 on a Saturday early evening. Only about half the restaurant was seated. The host sat us behind the kitchen door, right on top of another party’s table. I literally had to touch the person behind me to squeeze in the space. The floor by the table was sticky and it smelled like vomit. My husband got up and politely asked if we could be moved another table as many were open with ample space around them. They declined to move us and instead came over and grabbed the back my teenage son’s chair and yanked it backwards dragging his 2 feet, jerking my son forward and then pulled the table out a couple of inches. When we attempted to address the behavior, as it was aggressive and embarrassing for my son, we were essentially kicked out. It’s unfortunate, as we had heard great things, but will not compromise for being treated with respect over a small ask. Disappointed! Update: Thanks for the response. This is not the back door. You can choose to defend yourself or learn from the situation. For clarity, we did call in advance and I don’t feel the need to further defend myself against the lack of hospitality. What I do know is a male employee did approach our table and yank/aggressively pull my son’s chair. When we asked if he was okay, he said no! He felt threatened and confused as to why someone working at the restaurant would treat him that way - and he matters most! That’s why the review was shared.

Not sure why we waited so long to try Vuolo but I'm glad we finally did! What a great experience all-around. Fantastic service from Nik and the food was really, really delicious. We had two starters, two mains, a dessert with two cappuccinos and the bill was very reasonable. We didn't have any alcoholic drinks so I can't speak to the prices on those. My steak was perfectly cooked and well portioned, same for the pasta. We will definitely be back to try the rest of the menu.

Google
Once again five star all the way. I want to thank Lisa, Joe and the entire family staff for wonderful experience on our last visit. Came in a bit early which is a good thing with my two young grandchildren 7/10 and my daughter and loved it. Thank you very much Lisa our server she’s amazing. If you love lasagna like I do, it’s a must along with the entire menu. My daughter is gluten-free and the pasta was perfect. Thanks again guys. We loved it.

Google
Excellent food, generous portions and great atmosphere. Recommend the Pistachio martini. Marked down only because the AC was fierce (had to put our jackets over our shoulders) and wine I thought I ordered turned out to be a different one twice the price! The waitress obviously didn’t understand my British accent. I should have checked the label before it was opened- lesson learnt, I was too busy enjoying the meal. Despite that I highly recommend this restaurant, the birthday boy, my husband really enjoyed it.

Google
We have been here only a few times because we live far away. But the food was really outstanding every time, so is the service, so is the atmosphere!! We really need to drive over here more often! Thank you Vuolo's!!

Yelp
Was in town for a work event and stopped by the bar at Vuolo's for an early dinner. Even at 5pm the bar was already packed and it was a very lively environment. There is ample street parking out front and the space itself is tucked into the corner of a building. The staff were welcoming and served me almost immediately once I sat down. The menu has a number of options and some specials too. I went with the eggplant parm which was cooked perfectly and the sauce was vibrant and delicious. It also came with a side of pasta which is made in-house. Next time I definitely plan to order one of their pasta dishes. Added bonus that they have a few mocktail options if you're not drinking. Definitely a spot to check out if you're in the area.

Yelp
Service was excellent. They made sure we were comfortable and our drinks stayed full. Very polite and welcoming. The restaurant is surprisingly large inside but it's cozy and comfortable. It can be a bit noisy so maybe not the best place for a romantic date. I had the Cosmo Blanco from their drink menu and it was delicious. The second one was just as good as the first so the bartender is consistent and skilled. Mimi's Meatballs were Meh. As an appetizer it wasn't what we were hoping for. 3 medium sized meatballs. The meat had little to no actual flavor and relied on the sauce to carry the dish. The sauce was okay but I really was let down in my hopes for some good Italian meatballs. The shrimp fra diavolo was decent. The noodles were great, and I know to look for dishes with their homemade noodles. The sauce was quite spicy and had a great flavor to it. Now for the shrimp...I do wish they had taken the shell off the tails. I'm never a fan of eating ny shells and it's tough getting the shell off of a breaded and fried food especially when it's already in the sauce. I feel like that's a simple thing that would have saved this one for me. Overall I would not order the same food again but I will be back because I feel like there's a lot to offer here.

Yelp
One word: wow! Dining at Vuolo's was an amazing experience. Prior to entering, my dad and I were concerned that we would be one of the only people inside. I've never been so glad to be wrong! Vuolo's was the definition of lively! Ambient lighting, comfortable seating, and extremely attentive service. Having Cam as a waiter was amazing, he was very friendly and made sure we were enjoying ourselves. Not to mention, the food was excellent. Dishes came out hot and smelling delicious. Amazing option if you're looking for a fun, cozy dinner!

Yelp
We visited Vuolo's for my birthday during our stay in Winthrop. Immediately it felt like you were part of the family. The servers were all very attentive and got to know you personally. Our server Nick was the son of the family and shared with us some history of the restaurant. The ambiance was moody, but warm. The food was amazing! We started with the Lobster Arancini - wow! We had our entrees listed in the pic, both absolutely delicious. And we ended with the bread pudding for dessert and they brought it out with a candle on top. If you're in the area I highly recommend! Everything, and I mean everything, is made from scratch.

Yelp
Last night in Boston and staying near the airport. Found this gem of a restaurant. Food was GREAT, service was fantastic, and restaurant was really nice/modern. I highly recommend Vuolo's

Yelp
My second visit while in the area on business. Wonderful people including the owners, bartenders - a very welcoming place! A really nice neighborhood place - everyone knew everyone. Yet were friendly and engaged in lively conservations at the bar - Joseph the bartender had us all sing happy birthday to MJ - a guest seated at the bar!! On both of my visits the food was excellent and I'll go back again!! You won't be disappointed!!

Yelp
Delicious dinner and cocktails here last night with friends. They were wonderful in accommodating my request for gluten free. I was offered 3-4 options and decided on the Chicken Parmesan. Gluten free pasta and breading on the chicken. And they brought out warmed gluten free rolls. Delicious! I'll be back.

Liane S.

Yelp
Highly recommend. Serves some of the best Italian food in Boston and to top it off they have delicious Gluten free options, which I greatly appreciated!!

John T.

Yelp
What a find! Great Italian food in a charming atmosphere. Their homemade pastas are fabulous. Their lasagna, only on Mondays and Tuesdays, is probably the best I have ever had, Flavorful, creamy and an amazing portion. Their pastas all were excellent. Even their house salad was excellent, well balanced. The service is outstanding, friendly and helpful in an attractive setting. If you're staying by Logan Airport, it is worth the short Uber ride away....i promise you will not be disappointed!

Yelp
This was an absolutely wonderful restaurant. We came here for dinner during a bachelorette party weekend. Our server (Ryan) was super fun to talk with, learning about the restaurant was really cool! The restaurant does get a lil loud but it doesn't take away from the experience. The food was so DELICIOUS as well. The cacio o Pepe, prosciutto wrapped chicken, gnocchetti, and the steak with polenta fries were all AMAZING. Thank you for such a great experience.

Mike T.

Yelp
We have been looking to try this place for a while looks may be deceiving because the building looks small, but they have a pretty substantial dining room and bar area. It was fairly loud to be honest. As soon as we sat they filled our waters and brought out table bread and dipping oil which was always a great start. Our server got our drink orders (I got a drink off their summer menu called the Rock n roll star. It was really good) which gave us plenty of time to decide our meals. We got the Mimi's meatballs for an appetizer which came with a red sauce, but I was disappointed that there wasn't much flavor in the meatballs or the sauce. For dinner I got the gnocchetti. First off the portion was massive!!! The flavor was honestly amazing. I wish I had room for desserts but after that pasta dish there was no way. All and all we would definitely come back and try out other items for sure.

Yelp
Great food, service and atmosphere. We were a party of 9 on a Saturday night and we had a great time here. Very good seafood dishes and of course the chicken parm was a hit.

Yelp
Service and quality is amazing! This is the second time I've had dinner at the bar. The first time Chris waited on me and my sister, and besides being incredibly handsome and sweet, the food was perfect. She is a vegetarian and they were very accommodating! The second time my boyfriend, and my good friend and I were served by Nicholas, one of the owners. He was so engaging and again the food spot on. The specialty cocktail menu was extensive. My BF ordered two of his cocktail and so did I. (French 75)I can't wait for the next opportunity to bring someone. Perfect experience all the way around.

Yelp
Would give 5 stars except for our waitress who evidently was unable to multi task. She disappeared often & rarely checked on us -even though she would walk by our table. The food however was really good. We had mussels, Pappardelle Ragu, Gnocchetti & a marscapone lemon cake. All excellent. We also had 2 specialty martinis: the peartini & pistachio martini. Enjoyed them both. Nice atmosphere. Was only in Boston for a day but if we return, would go again & hope for a better waitress/waiter experience.

Teresa B.

Yelp
Excellent all the way around! Food, owner and waitress were excellent. We were on vacation and it was a great first night dinner.
google avatar

Priya K.

Yelp
Great Italian food and amazing service. All pasta is house made. Mushroom ravioli was absolutely delicious. We also tried their chicken Marsala, potato crusted cod and gnochetti pasta. Everything tasted great. For dessert we had pistachio cake which was so unique.

Yelp
New favorite place! I cant say enough things about this place. From the delicious bread to the mouthwatering meals , everything was phenomenal. Service excellent. Hadnt finished my meal when I was already mentally planning my return. I had the Chicken Francese with added shrimp and Im still thinking about it. The calamari was lightly breaded and flavorful, top best. My husband had the steak and he raved about the drinks. So happy Ive discovered this gem.

Yelp
We had a great time at Vuolo's! The specials were so good, we ordered the poached peach burrata and could not have been happier - it was so tasty! We also got the eggplant tower which comes covered with sauce and melted cheese in between layers, so well done! The pastas were fresh and very tasty as well. Portions were generous without sacrificing taste, that's hard to come by! The service was great! We are excited to go back soon!

Yelp
I was really excited to try this restaurant for the first time with my family because it had really good reviews and a good variety of food. To start off our food took more than an hour to get to our table. When we asked the waitress she did not express any concern and instead just smirked and replied "yea it usually takes time". What kind of response is this? When the food finally arrived it was far from good. Nothing had flavor. We all had to put salt to our plates because they were completely bland. I don't mind paying high prices for food but this place definitely did not deserve my money. I ordered the pesto pasta with scallops and all they did was throw a bunch of sauce in there that had a ton of heavy cream to make it somewhat taste ok. I felt nauseous after eating it because you could tell it had a ton of cream. It was a very disappointing experience. I felt like I threw the money in the trash. I love Italian food but this restaurant is definitely not on my list.
google avatar

Kimberlee C.

Yelp
Food was delicious and the service was perfect and prompt. Water and drinks right away. Great timing on orders and meal. The atmosphere is very cool, but the ceilings are high, so expect it to be a bit noisy, but in a fun way. The bar seating looked comfortable and we will try that the next time we are traveling. Definitely going to go back!
google avatar

Yelp
We enjoyed the delicious seafood and the service is excellent! The ambiance is very comforting and family oriented.

Yelp
Great little neighborhood Italian restaurant. I went around 6:30pm on a Thursday night. Not busy when I arrived but quite busy when I left at 8:15pm. The food was great. We barata over skillet cooks tomatoes House bread with garlic oil. Gnocchi with sausage and lobster ravioli. Amazing. Had a nice Sicilian wine too. I'll def return. Go enjoy.

Lue B.

Yelp
A little loud but the food was excellent . The portion were good and staff was great. First time and I enjoyed it. We can't wait to go back.

Yelp
The Lamonica family has done an incredible job with this restaurant. From beginning to end, the experience is great. Beginning with BRUSCHETTA, Crisp and light. Enough to wet the pallet. My wife wanted LOBSTER ARANCINI again. Mains, I had PAPPARDELLE AL RAGÙ great flavor, enough to have for lunch the next day(which I did). My wife had CHICKEN MARSALA. At the end of my meal we switched plates and the plate was very clean when I was done. We ordered one of Lisa's scratch made desserts tres leches chocolate cake. The desserts are always being invented by Lisa, with staples that are offered.

Yelp
Quickly becoming one of my favorite places in the greater Boston area. Food is amazing with creative creations. The evolving cocktail menu offers unheard of combinations that make you go WOW!!!. Service is friendly and knowledgeable. Ambiance is cozy. Overall space is clean and inviting. Whether for dinner or drinks, I continue to go back again & again. Always a great experience.

Yelp
I was looked up and down by the owner when I entered. 5 of us sat and I very apologetically asked if the music could be turned down. 3/5 of our group has sensory challenges - didn't play that card cuz I expected my request would be honored. Waitress responded doubtfully. Ok. Drinks - waitress can't hear cuz it's very loud tho only 5 or so tables had guests and brings wrong wine and is annoyed and blames my husband for the order, probably not used to the accent?. Proper wine comes and it tastes corked. Food comes, Delmonico steak is last to arrive and is rare not medium well. So we returned it. We had to shout for the server due to her inattentiveness and the noise/music to refill drinks. The rest of us finished our meals while one waited for the steak to arrive cooked to order. I suggested the waitress bring some extra bread while he waits? She had nothing but annoyance when we sent the steak back. Next steak arrives slightly more cooked but clearly they sous vide the $40 steak, bring it to temperature through steaming and then throw it on the grill for sear marks. So it tastes boiled. Unseasoned also. This time both the owner and waitress chimed in that we were wrong about the state of the steak, but took it off the bill. What they didn't know is that my autistic teen had dreamt of this family dinner and we were giving him an experience. An apology or attempt to smooth things would've gone a long way. In retrospect , after being ogled as we entered the restaurant, maybe we were not the 'type' of customers the owner likes - noting the homogeneous nature of the diners. No graciousness at all regarding our failed $200 dinner. Nothing there should cost what it does but if you want the look of fine food without the taste - go for it. My kids are more gracious at meals than any of the staff here was. Sorry if we were a bother wanting to eat food prepared as described. Editing to say that it's no one's business about my family's disabilities which is why I shouldn't have to have mentioned it. but more to say it's always a good idea to be accommodating.

Yelp
Had an amazing meal here tonight. On our way back from the airport and stopped in based on Yelp reviews. Everything was excellent and would totally recommend. Hope to be back again when in the area!

Yelp
What a fantastic hidden gem in Winthrop. The sauce is phenomenal, extremely comforting Italian cuisine. The service is 10/10 they make you feel like family. The environment is open and homey. A balanced selection of food and beverages. Amazing.

Andrea M.

Yelp
For starters go for eggplant rollitini Also I recommend tiramisu it was so creamy and definitely homemade.

Yelp
Vuolo's popped up out of nowhere and is truly an experience you'll want to indulge in. The chicken parm with house-made pasta was incredible, possibly the best I've ever had. I tried the Up All Night cocktail which was amazing, and after I had the Slice of Pumpkin Pie martini. I wanted to try something seasonal even though I'm not much of a pumpkin drink fan (pumpkin coffee, etc) but I was pleasantly surprised by how delicious it was, unlike anything I've ever had. The bartenders were so attentive and truly cared about our experience. I can't wait to go back!

Yelp
Wow!! Terrific place, very friendly, family owned and operated. Food was excellent. Great atmosphere. Drinks are very creative and delicious, True Mixology going on here. Food was presented so beautifully we dug right in and forgot to take pictures. We shall certainly return.

Nick R.

Yelp
This place is incredible. I've gone for dinner about a dozen times or so and I am continually blown away by the service and food. For Italian food, it honestly beats out a majority of the north end spots.
google avatar

Kadir E.

Yelp
We love this place... my spouse and best friend (Luis) love it. I believe is the Mona Lisa of Italian foods. Everything is made with love and that transfers to a magical experience in your mouth. Is a family owned business and I can say they are tight. Perfect place to go for any occasion, hands down. Enjoy!

Jason S.

Yelp
Very nice local, upscale restaurant, offering delicious homemade Italian cuisine. Great food, great services and a great evening.

Yelp
WHAT A FIND! Visiting town for a night, and we saw the good reviews on Yelp and decided to try it. There were two Lisa's, our waitress and the owner, and they were both gracious and welcoming. Wonderful meal, great ambience, and I would heartily recommend it to anyone. Go enjoy a meal there!

Yelp
I had the chance to dine at Vuolo's this past weekend and haven't stopped thinking about it since! From the minute we arrived we were impressed by the gorgeous flower boxes outside and the newly designed modern interior. However, the real showstopper was the incredible food! We started with the antipasto board, burrata with jammy tomatoes and Mimi's meatballs. For entrees we had the sous vide pork chop which was fall off the bone moist and flavorful as well as the scallops and chicken marsala. The house-made pasta was a delicious touch and each dish was better than the next. I can't wait to come back!

Leah T.

Yelp
This spot is truly a hidden gem. We were going to a holiday party in Winthrop and wanted to grab a drink on the way. Full disclosure: we didn't have a full meal here, but the experience was flawless nonetheless. We sat at the bar and enjoyed chatting with the sarcastic, charming lead bartender. His cocktails were well balanced and he made all of his mixers from scratch. His drinks were inventive with ingredients like burrata foam, hazelnut foam and homemade eggnog. I wanted to order every single cocktail on the menu and plan to return to do so. We couldn't resist ordering a food item and went with the burrata/tomato/jam appetizer. It was excellent. I love a warm tomato. You guys, you have to try this restaurant. It's the real deal.

Claudia P.

Yelp
Amazing food, great service. Awesome neighborhood restaurant! Nice addition to Winthrop.

Kristoffer B.

Yelp
I went with a couple buddies after work and we sat at the bar. The place is gorgeous, dotted with pictures of vintage Winthrop and photos of the family that is running the spot going back generations. Not too bright, not too dark, good classic music playing. The bartender clearly cared about his craft - I got an old fashioned with my dinner and a creamy espresso martini that he garnished with some lemon zest. Never had one like that before, I loved it. We decided we were going to split some appetizers, so after the bartender brought over some bread and oil (with a little kick to it) we got the lobster arancini, polenta fries (the garlic aioli was unbelievable), buratta, and some Caesar salads. I meant to take a few more photos but everything looked so good we tore into it before I could remember. For dinner, I had the braised brisket ragu. Any time I see something slow cooked on a menu I have to try it. The bartender came by to shred some cheese on top before I dug in. It did not disappoint, and the ziti was homemade to top it off! I wish I had saved room for a cannoli, but an espresso martini did the trick for me. I can't wait to bring my wife there!

Carolyn H.

Yelp
Terrific experience from start to finish. Delicious food, great service and charming atmosphere. So so good! Salads, pasta, chicken parm, yummy broccoli rabe, bruschetta...everything was fantastic.

Yelp
One word: FANTASTICO. I took my father here tonight for his 92nd and from the moment we arrived until we left the staff could not have been any nicer or accommodating. Lisa, our waitress, was very engaging and made sure we were well taken care of. The ambiance of the place was cozy and inviting and IMMACULATE. The food was amazing. The portions were huge; they did not skimp. From the fried calamari, to the meatballs, to the lobster ravioli, to the salmon and cioppino everything was delicious. My mother had the Calabrian wings and the owner was concerned because they were spicy....not a problem, she was licking her fingers. For dessert we had the cannoli and were not disappointed. The icing on the cake was when they came and sang happy birthday to my dad with a piece of heavenly limoncello cake. Thank you for making my father's birthday special. We will be back Dan

Leesa M.

Yelp
Was highly disappointed! Food is always superb! However we ordered a 2 called glass of house cab. We were charge $15.00 per glass!!?? That's a tad bit extreme on a house wine. We didn't order Caymus! Not so sure we will be back. You can't have Italian food without wine...

John P.

Yelp
Fantastic experience! Food, service and people were great. Local neighborhood experience. Bartender was entertaining. We will be back soon!

Karen C.

Yelp
Great food! I had the pasta with brisket and my husband had the veal parm. Wait person was excellent and friendly and she was very busy! We will be back! Pistachio martini was excellent!

Diasporos D.

Yelp
A ridiculously overpriced, overrated sham of a restaurant whose idea of red sauce consists of tasteless candied tomato pitifully sautéed with some garlic and slathered over everything. No variation. Their Fra Diavolo with fried seafood was unpleasantly greasy and lacked depth. The pizza was a hardboard mess. The steak was cooked limp and boiled without salt or a hint of flavor despite swimming in butter, and undercooked other than "correct internal temperature " and tepid burn marks. Do they even know how to use a grill!!???. Then, the level of clueless service and inappropriate answering back by the main waitress just took me aback and amused me. The Waitress had no table manner whatsoever, no knowledge of the menu or wines, she immediately messed up the wine order, proceeded to blame me instead of apologizing. Then she forgot we existed for a while. No check in whether we needed fresh drinks. No check in whether said drinks arrived, twice in a row. No keeping track of my glass of wine levels. So we suffered thirst repeatedly. I felt neglected as she yammered and yapped with the other tables. Then, to add insult to insult, the clearly incompetent kitchen undercooked my flavor lacking steak twice, chef came out and defended it as being a good steak like I'm a peasant who's never cooked steak before. In the end every dish was mediocre: tepid oily and salty fra diavolo, a charc board for $19 dollars that consisted of two slices of mozz two pieces of cheap provolone, a slice of salami, a piece of prosciutto, some jam, 8 olives, a dollop of canned red pepper. Terrible pasta dish. Frozen pizza. Sugary sauce. Just no. Lol. I could have had a better charcuterie board raiding the fridge at the local 7-11 and better service at Burger King. . I have no clue how this place gets good reviews unless all the locals are in on it. *edit: here comes the owner et al in defense. He is right. Clearly this isn't the restaurant for me. I don't lie and was rude only after the food and service situation became untenable. Good luck. I'm proud to not have left a tip for that amateur, and that my assertiveness got the crappy food returned. Anyone who enjoys this poser food go ahead eat to your hearts delight. What do I know.

Yelp
Went last night with a couple of friends. Where do I begin? The service was top notch, the drinks were delicious, and the food was phenomenal. I got the cioppino. It was filled to the brim with all my favorites. Little necks, mussels, shrimp, calamari, scallops, and white fish. The broth was so good I could have made a meal with just that and bread. The other meals at the table were veal francese and chicken marsala. Both got rave reviews. We had bruschetta, arugula salad and JoJo's croquettes for appetizers. To end the meal we had a warm chocolate chip cookie topped with vanilla Gelato. We had a thoroughly enjoyable meal and will definitely be returning.
