W The Palm, Dubai

"Why book? A dazzling Dubai property with a personality to match, W The Palm is as surprising as it is bold. Set the scene The Gen-Z of the hotel offerings on The Palm, this expansive property attracts plenty of young, beautiful people, whether they be locals looking for a staycay or international tourists with a pep in their step. Foodies are drawn to its culinary menu that includes Akira Back and Massimo Bottura’s Torno Subito, each of which consistently draws a crowd. The W is an instagrammers delight inside and out, the hotel exuding a lively, party vibe that draws a smile from all who set foot inside. The back story A relative newcomer to this iconic neighborhood, one of the city’s most iconic, this 350-room stunner is part of Marriott Group’s W family and it is as loud and proud as its global counterparts.  The rooms A party pad in every way, each of the rooms are decked out with a combination of shimmering tiles, colorful furnishings and architectural curves, not to mention the cocktail kit and the boombox for your favorite tunes. The Arabic calligraphy on the walls give each suite a sense of place and the views add to the appeal.  Food and drink Journey back to the Italian Riviera of the ‘60s at the hotel’s signature eatery Torno Subito where you can’t go past the cacio e pepe spaghetti - Bottura’s favorite dish. Japanese culinary king Akira Back’s debut Middle Eastern Asian fusion venue doesn’t disappoint with its tuna pizza and AB tacos, not to mention its polished sakes that come with an exclusive price tag. Pre-dinner head up to SoBe for a sunset-infused cocktail. The spa The iridescent signage at the entry of the AWAY spa is in-keeping with the hotel’s cheeky appeal and the welcome as glamorous as you’d expect with the circular reception area that also acts as a nail bar. The warmth and intimacy of the space emanates throughout. The 90-minute Arabian massage and Maroc Maroc products are divine.  The neighborhood/area West Crescent is part of the exclusive Palm Jumeirah neighborhood. Positioned between the Raffles and One&Only properties, the W is in good company, and there really is no reason to leave the resort.  The service Whatever, Whenever is the approach to service and it’s on-point here. More casual and friendly than reverential, guests are greeted with enthusiasm and a happy-to-help attitude whether it be at the concierge desk, over the phone or on the WET deck. For families Perhaps not as attractive to families as other properties in the neighborhood, the resort does provide for the little ones. There’s a children’s pool, babysitting services, an arcade/games room and cots/infant beds available by request.  Accessibility Those guests with disabilities are well catered for here, with grab rails, height adjustable shower heads and wheelchair accessibility throughout the property. Anything left to mention? The WET deck pool area rivals the most elaborate in the emirate, ideal for a weekend pool party or private dip and sip session. Prepare to be surrounded by beautiful people." - Melinda Healy

An Exceptional Family Getaway - Perfect for Our Little One! My wife, our 18-month-old son, and I have just returned from a wonderful stay at The Palm Dubai, from a Saturday to Thursday, and we are already missing the incredible hospitality. From the moment we arrived, the service was nothing short of exceptional. Every single staff member, from the friendly security team at the gate, to the warm and efficient reception, and the attentive waiters at the restaurants, went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. What truly stood out for us was how kind and engaging they were with our young son. They always had a smile for him, which made the environment so comfortable for our family. A special mention must be made for the room service team. We requested milk to be brought up to our room at various times, and no matter when we called, it was delivered promptly and with a smile. This small but crucial detail made our nights and nap times so much easier. The amenities were fantastic – the pools were beautiful, the grounds were immaculate, and we lacked for nothing. It’s a stunning property, but it's the people that make it truly 5-star. We cannot recommend The Palm Dubai highly enough for families with young children and will definitely be returning.

I had an exceptional experience at the W Hotel thanks to the outstanding support of the security team. I would like to express my sincere gratitude to Amar, Madam Luiza, and Mr. Owis, the head of security. They assisted me in resolving a serious situation with remarkable professionalism, competence, and care. The entire team acted quickly, calmly, and with full dedication, showing a level of excellence that truly sets the W Hotel apart. I am extremely grateful for all the support I received and highly recommend the hotel with complete confidence.

Our stay at the hotel was absolutely exceptional from start to finish! The room was spotless, beautifully designed, and incredibly comfortable, making it the perfect place to relax. Wissal on reception went above and beyond — she was warm, professional, and genuinely cared about making our stay special. When we asked if the hotel had a pregnancy pillow, she had one delivered to our room within just a few hours, which made a world of difference.

Hotel is superb. Superb. Staff are great, food was good (we only had B&B though)||The facilities, clean. Everything worked as it should. The rooms were an excellent quality. Only drawback was the construction work across from our bedroom balcony. But the doors pretty much blocked out the banging. ||HOWEVER, if you want to explore the city, this is not the greatest place to stay. Its quite far and the only real way to get to the city is via Taxi. You _can_ walk to the Atlantis and get the monorail to the metro line. BUT the monorail stops at 9pm so you'd be stuck. Taxis are not overly expensive, but if you are using them costly, it adds up. Our taxi from the hotel to Top Golf (for instance) was about £14. Taxi from the international airport, about £30 - which is not bad at all if you factor in how far it is.||So thats the ONLY downfall of the hotel, and its not the hotels fault, just something to bear in mind if you're an explorer.

Hotel facilities are generally excellent in terms of room & public furnishings; restaurant food is very good; staff are super friendly & helpful - we would have preferred a fridge rather than the cooler but the hotel readily provided a huge ice bucket when requested |Hotel provides excellent views across the water towards Dubai Marina& JBR, plus the two Atlantic Hotels |Very attractive pool area with beach at front |Only downside is adults pool, which is incredibly noisy with non stop heavy base music; signage says it is smoke free zone, but that is not the case and given the quality of the hotel very surprised there was no complimentary water at the pool, although 6 bottles per day were left in room|We have visited Dubai many times & whilst Palm has plenty of superior hotels guests are very reliant on cars/taxis as there is little or nothing you can walk too - that said Marina/JBR struggled enormously with excessive traffic

Very disappointing experience at W Dubai – The Palm (Pool & Beach Access) I honestly didn’t like the experience at all. First of all, the welcome was far from what you’d expect from a 5-star hotel — not warm or attentive at all. Then, the price is absolutely exorbitant for what it is. The area is very small and crowded, there isn’t enough space to relax comfortably. The menu is also really disappointing — not appropriate at all for a beach day. No lamb chops, no sushi, not even a proper club sandwich. The food options were really limited and far from exceptional. What shocked me the most is that there’s nowhere proper to shower or clean up. The few available cabins are used by everyone without any cleaning in between, and the toilets were not clean at all — no staff around to maintain them. For a 5-star hotel, this is completely unacceptable. I’m really disappointed and wouldn’t recommend the pool & beach access to anyone. I can’t comment on the rooms since I didn’t stay overnight, but in terms of day access, it’s definitely not worth it.

We stayed at the W Hotel for our 15th wedding anniversary and it was incredible from start to finish. From the special welcome, to the personalised gifts, cake, and card we received, to the incredible food and personalised care from every member of staff. It is truly a special place to come.||Food|The food is to an excellent and high standard in the Liv restaurant where we had breakfast lunch and occasionally dinner. We had our anniversary meal at Akira back. The food was delicious, the view incredible and the staff very accommodating. ||Our last meal was at Olivino where the team really excelled themselves especially our waitress, Safka. We had a delicious meal sat outside with a great view of Dubai. ||A huge thank you to the concierge team, especially Rita, Mavi and Prince.

Everything about my stay was wonderful, the room is spacious, the staff are friendly, and amenities are good too. My only 2 issues are that my dyson kept turning off while I’m in the middle of styling my hair (so getting my glam on was a bit challenging), the beach water in the palm are is a bit murky and smells a little like chemicals. Would I come again? Definitely!
