The 15 Best West African Restaurants In London - London - The Infatuation

"Waakye Joint provides the perfect introduction to Ghanaian food. Your first port of call should be the eponymous waakye. The dish is almost a set menu in itself. A bed of soft rice and beans is accompanied by salad, noodles, a boiled egg, well-seasoned fried fish, and a dollop of shito. It’s perfect for lunch but the portions are so friendly, it may very well carry you through to dinner. You could stop to sit and eat but Waakye Joint, with its extensive glass cabinets of food, is more primed for takeaway as you’ll see from the waves of people coming in and out. Expect Saturdays to be busy as traffic is halted on the nearby Seven Sisters Road as revellers head to the local struggling football team, Tottenham Hotspur." - riaz phillips

Waakye Joint - Review - Tottenham - London - The Infatuation

"Waakye Joint provides the perfect, brisk introduction to Ghanaian food with a stout menu of favourites. Your first port of call should be the eponymous waakye. The dish is almost a set menu in itself. A bed of soft rice and beans is accompanied by salad, noodles, a boiled egg, well-seasoned fried fish, and a dollop of shito (a spicy fish paste). It’s perfect for lunch but the portions are so friendly, it may very well carry you through to dinner. I got ga kenkey + Turkey tail (chofi) and fufu + meat peanut soup - both were delicious and packed well. Yes things are cooked daily and displayed but that makes a quick service. Food is still delicious and good portions although pricey. Their shop is very clean and professional, has frozen stuff you can take home. Top tip: it’s cheaper to book via menu log than uber eats for pickup

I don’t know why you will order waakye and they will box all your proteins and stew in single bowl .. when other restaurants package food very neatly .. I won’t order from here again .. learn packaging

Fist time and I mush say I had a very horrible experience, the guy who served me was an Asian with good customer service. One of the ladies from the kitchen just disrespected and insulted me for no reason. These happened on Wednesday 5th November. From 15:30 to 16:00. You can view you cameras for evidence. I normally wouldn’t complain but who ever is the owner need to pay attention to how some of the ladies at Seven Sisters threat customers.

Nowhere to sit in at this branch but the food is EXCELLENT!! Their jollof is out of this world, the fish is fresh and the prawns are so juicy. I went to 2 branches in 2 days - the food was THAT good! 😅💕😋 not cheap but competitively priced. Would 8/10 recommend

I was referred to this shop by a friend two days ago. I kept it safe and ordered what I knew( beans and fish). It tasted superb. And today I said I must go back. The ladies serving were all smiles and even suggested I try something new (waakye). I’m currently eating it as I write this and my taste buds are going wild. Who ever knew I’ll love Ghanaian food like this, and this is coming from a Nigerian. I certainly have to commend the ladies on their service today as haven worked in customer service management in the past I value good customer care. Keep it up. I’ll certainly be back to try new dishes at this branch. #fibrosis

I ordered food and it taste like it’s been stored for five days like it was so so so bad. I think they should do better and safe customers freshly made food.

On my daily takeaways had been extremely good and above their super high standard of service is a case study and one of a kind. Delivery always comes on time.
