12 Best Restaurants For Highly Spicy Food in San Gabriel valley SGV | Eater LA

"The award for the biggest pivot during the pandemic goes to Sesame Grill. The fine-dining, French-fusion restaurant was on the brink of closing due to COVID-19 but has since become a successful gourmet spicy chicken tenders takeout. The restaurant purchases fresh batches of chicken daily for its jumbo-sized tenders and marinates them with its own mix of flour and cornstarch. There is a mild option, but the spicy tenders are the most popular. The spice level ranges from mild, medium, hot, very spicy, and Carolina Reaper. The spicy seasoning Sesame Grill uses ranges from $68 to $110 per pound. The restaurant’s frying oil is changed twice daily and the coating for the chicken is made fresh to order. The Carolina Reaper spice level is sure to set your mouth and stomach on fire. The jumbo tenders come with fries, coleslaw, and a housemade dinner roll. Its makeshift new menu is based on customer feedback. It currently includes fried chicken sandwiches, jumbo shrimp, homemade chicken noodle soup, Thai Tea, and even fresh fruit smoothies." - Kristie Hang

I ordered a chicken bowl and vegetables on the side and this is how they make there customers happy? With a skimpy bowl, for the workers... is it coming out of your own money?, cuz thank God it wasn't or else you would make it even more skimpier, what a shame we pay 10 dollars and more for some rice and chicken and they can't even fill the bowl correctly, dip ***** if I wanted a skimpy bowl I would have had the vegetables inside with the rice, won't come here anymore! Beware not to order vegetables on the side because there going to give you less then what it even would be with the vegetables in the bowl!

I really like ordering the mini chicken bowl, it comes with white or brown rice and you can get veggies also. I don't eat much so it is perfect amount for me.

Excellent customer service by a young lady on a recent Friday night. Very good prices for the quality and amount of food. Fast but fairly healthy and yummy.

Wow, more healthy than I thought it would be. Cheap and tasty too, I like.

I went here for the convenience and I’ve been here before. It’s close to home and options are limited. Generally I would drive the extra mile to get Panda or something else when I want some fast food, All that being said, WaBa puts out a consistent product and it’s pretty good... I had the WaBa plate on this visit and enjoyed it.

End of lunch time rush and the was nobody at the front to take an order for like 5 mins until someone else noticed and went back to alert them. Also, the paper towel dispenser was almost empty despite being on order 160 for the day. Seemed on the verge of not being clean and clearly didn't have employees who took pride in their work so not sure I'd go back to this location. Otherwise the food was ok.

I feel that this place is comparable to Flame Broiler, though a tad bit more expensive. I personally purchased the chicken, rice, and veggie bowl for $7.68, and my thoughts are as follows: the chicken was well cooked though it had a slight fish aftertaste, the veggies a bit overcooked and somewhat lacking in overall quality, and the rice perfectly cooked. I would definitely say this is a healthy meal compared to most other lunch alternatives, although the veggies leave room for improvement. I may likely eat here again in the future.

Great food as always. We (2 adults and 7 + 10 years old) always order waba chicken teriyaki. We tried to order with brown rice but sometimes the brown rice are on the harder side (not consistent) so we always order with white rice. One of the best chicken teriyaki from chains restaurant just make sure put green onions and extra waba teriyaki to add the yumminess
