Loved this spot and frequently dined here. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. However stopped by for lunch today and sadly found out they closed

I never leave bad reviews since I work in the service industry myself but this was the most disappointing meal. We had sushi rolls not even packaged right and ended up a bag of mush. The lack of flavor and actual descriptions of the meals were awful. We had ordered stir fry undo noodles which means we expected a normal undo noodle sauce and veggies, as well as ordered chicken fried rice which had nothing but a little bit of soy and chucks of inedible chicken in it. The orange chicken was super disappointing as well. Even my kids wouldn’t eat the food we got. When I called they said they changed the menu and don’t put veggies in their dishes that say veggie on the menu and to contact DoorDash. Almost $200 for this ?

Always good food and good service. Ate most of our meal before deciding to take pics for the review. A lot of value for the price. Tried the Ruby Ocean for the first time and my wife had the Dallas roll. Both were delicious. The chili sauce under the Ruby Ocean is spicy but worth the burn. The way they flower cut the calamari is a welcome change from traditional rings or strips. We also had monkey brains, but I don’t think they are really from monkeys. 😉 We were greeted with a friendly hello and our server Robin was very pleasant and attentive. A little hidden gem.

Let me start by saying the food creativity here is amazing. Everything we had was delicious and the sushi was freshly rolled. I've been looking for another "fusion" sushi place since I moved to Ft. Worth and I have finally found it. This place has excellent fried sushi, specialty rolls, traditional rolls, and even an ahi tower. The Heart Attack appetizer is a must get!!! On our first visit, we got the Heart Attack, Super Volcano roll, Las Vegas roll, and Ft Worth roll. All were very good and I'd order them again. The service on the other hand was extremely slow. We ordered drinks and an appetizer when we got there and it took quite a while for the food to show up. It's probably because everything is made to order so that the food is hot and fresh when it gets to your table. I'd highly recommend this place and will probably make this our regular sushi spot in ft worth.

Google
Fish was fresh even later at night. Good prices. Great presentation. Service was friendly. They no longer serve alcohol of any kind, which is okay. Great experience, quick, simple menu, totally recommend. Had the heart attack app which is a meal in and of itself and the peppered tuna roll+cucumber. Fantastic. Stopped in a second time, had the sashimi roll+jalapeño. God, so good.

Google

Google
Just recently found this place, and we will be back!!! Nice little spot that was quite and cozy!! The sushi was very good and tasted fresh!! Service was good and she kept our drinks filled!!

Google
Excellent place to go once a month, not to frequently as it is pricey. However, the price tag is low in comparison to what your getting. Great service, creatively plated food which is always made fresh and with great care by the amazing chef JC. I highly recommend this to be a good place to check out!

Yelp
This weekend we went to Wabi Sabi Sushi When we arrived there was a sign that said they were doing takeout only I'm not a huge fan of takeout so right off the bat I wasn't impressed. They had bento boxes on their menu, so you could order sushi and it came with miso soup, a salad, and choice of appetizer. My daughter got a classic bento with shrimp tempura roll and I got a supreme bento with a crunchy roll. My son got orange chicken with fried rice and miso soup My husband got orange chicken with steamed rice, along with a monster roll and the heart attack appetizer. I am not a sushi person at all, but it was okay (Kroger is still better though ). The orange chicken and rice was NOT good. Overall, it was just okay, wouldn't go back

Yelp
This place was near my hotel and had good Yelp reviews. I went there for dinner around 6 and no patrons were there. The waitress was really nice and gave some good suggestions . She was attentive asking me if everything was good but then again there was no one else there. I got the citron tea which was good. I got the monkey brain which was fried avocado stuffed with crab meat which was original...I've been to a lot of sushi restaurants and never had this before. It was very tasty! I also got the tuna sabi roll which was also good although the tuna wasn't as fresh as it could be. Prices were pretty inexpensive for a sushi place so that was great! I'll definitely be back when I'm in the area

Yelp
I was starving and went to this sushi place just because it was closer and boy I was disappointed. Although our server was sweet and gave us some recommendations, but not very well versed with the menu items. However, the real issue was the food. It was the worst sushi I've ever had. Started with crab rangoon and shrimp tempura, which were decent and well-presented, giving some initial hope. But things went downhill from there. The bento box was a disaster. It looked unappetizing, and the meat (pork or chicken, couldn't even tell) was old and hard, as if it had been sitting around for days. The dumpling, resembling a crab rangoon, was crispier but still just okay. The rice was stale and inedible, and the miso soup was the worst I've ever tried--it didn't even taste like miso soup. The accompanying sauces were mediocre, and the salad was mostly lettuce with few carrot slices, very disappointing. Hoping the sushi would redeem the meal. But the sushi was even terrible: too much rice, bad-smelling cream cheese, and fish that did not taste fresh. I was starving but couldn't finish it. I am just glad I ordered only 2 "speciality" sushi, thinking I might order more if it was good! Overall, I would not recommend this place. The food quality was extremely poor, and I won't be returning.

Nina T.

Yelp
How does this place have a 4.5 star rating? The food was bad. The service was ok but slow. The miso soup tasted like water and dumplings were questionable. The sushi rolls were all bland and tasteless. Not to mention there were flies inside.

Kerri B.

Yelp
Edamame were perfect. I had a Specialty Bento Box with a Monster Roll-EXCELLENT! Crab Rangoon tasted odd. The Gyoza were far better fried than steamed. Overall the food was outstanding and server and service was very good. The only spot where they don't get five stars is the atmosphere and decor. Great for takeout leaves a little bit to be desired for dining in.

Courtney D.

Yelp
We always order to go, so I can't review how dine in service is but the sushi is always super yummy and fresh. This is our favorite sushi spot and we've tried almost all of them in our local areas. I love all the ginger they include. You must try the Geisha roll!!

George W.

Yelp
I walked in and found immediately that they are byob which means no sake. Usually when I am on the road I have sushi and sit at the sushi bar but their sushi bar was closed. They make it in the back which makes me nervous. I got the rainbow roll tuna nigiri. It wasn't good. Hope I don't get sick

Yelp
Visited Wabi Sabi Sabi with my mother in law for lunch yesterday. We were the first in for the lunch service and promptly seated wherever we wanted. Based on the sign walking in, it would appear they're short staffed which was evident when other patrons started coming in and I never saw more than our waitress tending to the other tables. But on that note she seemed to manage and keep up with things well. She was prompt when needed to refill our glasses, ask how our meal was, and delivering the check when asked. Now on to the menu - this is a more expensive sushi place and that includes higher prices on even basic rolls. Based on the prices I had a certain level of expectation for the quality of the sushi to be served. They did have a very good selection and variety of rolls and sushi options to choose from. Since we were sharing our rolls, our sushi came out all on one plate. Our waitress even remembered my ponzu sauce (something that I typically have to remind servers for when the food is brought to the table - so that was a nice change of pace)! The Yellowtail Roll was fresh! I consider myself a connoisseur for this roll because I order it wherever I go and I prefer it served with scallions which it is not done here but the quality of the fish was great. My mother in law ordered the Spider Roll and she enjoyed it. We shared the 911 Roll and it was great! For being a deep fried roll the batter was thin so it wasn't overly crunchy which I do prefer. The spicy tuna inside was good as well! Overall we had a good lunchtime experience and spent $30 including tip for the three rolls which was average for lunch for two people not ordering any speciality rolls. We might make it back out for a repeat visit in the future!

Neill N.

Yelp
We ordered a lot of food, and not a lot of it was good. I feel like I just didn't have a taste for sushi.

Mike J.

Yelp
Stopped in since it's close. Had to go to the restroom and it smelled as if they cut the fish in the bathroom sink. Total fish smell. The urinal was full of yellow urine and wouldn't flush. The menus were sticky and nobody was there during lunch. We politely got up and showed ourselves to the door. Very disappointed because I wanted to love this place because of its location.

Sophia C.

Yelp
Sushi was amazing. Service was very great. The host was so sweet - her name was Isabella! She toon our takeout order no problem and even brought it out to our car! Really glad I discovered this place, will be coming here whenever I have sushi cravings!

Samantha G.

Yelp
Totally worth it! So yummy and reasonably priced. Great selection as well. We got quite a variety of nigiri and a couple rolls which were delicious! We also purchased the Monkey Brainds, which was fried avocado + toppings. I loveee avocado and this hit the spot!

Kristina H.

Yelp
My husband is so happy that Wabi is back to serving the chicken karrage! When we visited over a month ago they weren't. So today we ordered ours for pickup, which it send me you to a third-party site to place the order called Zing. They charge a small fee, not bad at all. We are always so pleased with the quality of food they serve here! And the employees are always smiling. I do hope to dine in with them again very soon. Anyway, another yummy meal! Thanks y'all!

Nicole D.

Yelp
Food is delicious! Service is wonderful. Great find our family went twice in one week.

Jessie C.

Yelp
Best sushi place in Fort Worth! They also have plenty of veggie sushi and cooked sushi options. Hidden gem!!!

Joe B.

Yelp
Stayed in nearby hotel and wanted sushi. Wabi Sabi was great and 3 min drive. Exceptional service, ordered one draft beer and since they were out, waitress suggested another Japanese draft beer and comped the pint sample. I enjoyed it and ordered more, unbelievable happy hour specials on weekends! .Monkey brains were different, tasty and filling. We'd order again. Fort Worth roll was worth a try, though wasabi sauce was a bit spicy for me. Stir fry Udon was first time try for wife and she enjoyed it. Hot plate order of chicken teriyaki was super good and daughter is often picky. I recommend eatery with great food.

Melissa O.

Yelp
Vegetable tempura was two giant onion rings, two giant pieces of sweet potato, and two pieces of asapragus. That's pretty lame to double only three vegetables. Was there nothing else in the kitchen? Broccoli, carrot, peppers, something? Eel roll was mostly the California roll with a looot of sauce and very little unagi. Spicy salmon roll had big pieces of fish, but tasted "off." And I do not claim to have a good palate, I will eat grocery store stuff if I am hungry, so if I think sushi fish tastes off, that is really saying something. Plus... they didn't have any yellowtail. A sushi place had. No. Yellowtail. Let that sink in. Service was okay. She was nice enough, but she was also on her own, so everything was a bit slow. And they were only about 20-25% full for the entirety of the lunch rush. Bad sign right there. Paid $70 for two people for lunch. Not even a little bit remotely worth it. All in all, incredibly disappointing. Maybe this place used to be better pre-pandemic. Maybe this bad visit was a fluke. Not going back to find out.

Rick K.

Yelp
I ordered take out on a Sunday, it was ready on time with everything I ordered. Sushi and Tempura Prawns...they were GREAT!!!

meg l.

Yelp
This is no longer the same restaurant. Came here tonight and it's under construction (like major construction, why they're open and trying to serve food in that environment baffles me. Someone was literally sweeping up drywall debris as we walked in with drywall dust floating everywhere), they've completely changed their menus and they no longer serve beer/alcohol.

Justine W.

Yelp
What happened to this place? I ordered from here all the time, it was my absolute favorite! I ordered their spicy tuna all the time. Then I noticed that the delivery time was getting longer and longer after 45min they were still preparing my order this happened 3 times. When I finally got my food it was like they just didn't care about their food anymore. So sad to say I will not be ordering from here.

Vicky M.

Yelp
This weekend, my family and I, we tried Wabi Sabi for the first time. I had read on a FB group about this place. They rave on how delish it was and WOW! We were impressed. They open at 4pm, Saturday's and showed up at 4pm. Our waitress, Savanna, was very nice, helpful and patient. Our favorites: Ebi Ebi. Fort Worth. We will most definitely come back soon. BEST sushi we've had since we moved to Fort Worth.

Bryan P.

Yelp
Great local business that is always awesome! My wife and I love the atmosphere of the restaurant which is very relaxed. The food is great and the new bento boxes on the menu are perfect. The service is always perfect with the staff being very personable. It is our favorite date night dinner spot.

VerCora H.

Yelp
I love this place!! Fresh and good sushi. Great customer service and I love the atmosphere there.

Kelly Y.

Yelp
We were visiting Ft. Worth and found this sushi place. The food was really good and we had an amazing server. Savanna was super sweet and attentive and made us feel very comfortable. Really enjoyed the food and restaurant. Would come back again!

Lisa L.

Yelp
Such a solid place if you're looking to get rolls! They had a big variety of cooked, raw, and fried ones to choose from at reasonable prices. Their basic rolls, such as an eel roll and salmon skin roll were also inexpensive. Forewarning though, those two latter rolls have imitation crab in them which I didn't expect. It made the pieces a big bite full, which I didn't mind. Their happy house menu looks good, and I'll definitely be trying that when I return!

Linda M.

Yelp
Food and service was quite good. The restaurant itself is quite plain. Looks like it needs a make over.

Karen E.

Yelp
Simple and delicious sushi. Excellent prices. Love the Bento box option for dinner. Clean environment and friendly service.

Janeisha A.

Yelp
Hands down Wabi Sabi is one of THE BEST sushi restaurants I've ever visited. When we walked in it was nice and quiet and maybe one one or two other sets of diners there. The staff at WS was super nice and patient for the most part. It took my hubbs and I a lil while to figure out what we wanted and the young lady who was serving us was very patient. Well, when we first ordered our rolls we fully expected to have lil rolls as most sushi restaurants tend to have. We were so surprised to see each one of our rolls and app (spicy edamame, baked salmon, Oshi, and I forgot the 2 I ordered), they were really beefed up. I had never seen rolls so big. The flavor of the rolls were really good as well. I believe three of our rolls were raw and 1 cooked honestly the flavors and the sauces on the rolls were delic! if you're on the fence and want to try a new sushi joint, definitely try WS. You wont regret it!

Alyssa G.

Yelp
We got four rolls and the crab rangoons. The food came out quick and was so good. Our server was great, was quick to refill drinks without even asking. This is such a good place with good prices for a sushi place and will definitely be coming back!

Ryan C.

Yelp
This place is the best you will go to! Definitely easy 5 stars. Great service and phenomenal food.

Elizabeth T.

Yelp
Yum! Just had this spot again togo. It's so good. We ordered the Fort Worth roll, spider roll, ahi tuna tower, and crab rangoon. Everything was perfect and delicious.

Hannah N.

Yelp
I usually try to visit an establishment at least a couple of times before I leave a review but there are some places that just leaves such a great impression on me. This is definitely one of them! I've had it bookmarked since I drove by one day and saw the new sign. I checked out their pics (thanks fellow Yelpers) and made it a point to stop by since it's so close to home. We were greeted warmly upon walking in and was given the choice on where we wanted to sit. Raymond came over and introduced himself as our waiter. Super cool guy. He was informative and asked us what we liked and gave useful suggestions. He brought us water in a little pitcher along with a slices of cucumber and lime on the side. It was a nice touch. They have great happy hour specials on drinks and appetizers. I had the mandarin martini and it was sweet and fruity. Very tasty. My friend had the Tokyo mule and I had a little taste. It was more bold and had a nice ginger flavor. We ordered the monkey brain appetizer to start and I will come back just for that! It is a tempura fried avocado stuffed with a crabmeat mixture then drizzled with spicy mayo and eel sauce. So good! So many textures and flavors combined into every bite. We also ordered the sunset roll and baked salmon roll. I asked Raymond if they had a sushi roll with baked salmon on top as I don't always see it on menus elsewhere. He quickly replied with a smile, "Yes, the baked salmon roll." LOL. I missed it on the menu and we had a good laugh about it. It was what I expected and my taste buds were happy! The sunset roll was fresh and I enjoyed the crisp asparagus along with the tuna and salmon on top with spicy mayo and sriracha. Both rolls were a generous size. Everything from the food to the service and ambiance were all flawless and enjoyable. And oh the presentation of each dish was gorgeous and pleasing to the eye. Definitely recommending this awesome place to friends and family. Can't wait to come back!

Steve S.

Yelp
Had an excellent meal here! The ambience is super cool and cozy/chic. Not too fancy and not too casual. The serving staff was knowledgeable and the place appeared clean... bathrooms included. We started with the "monkey brains" Don't let the name scare you... Deep fried avocado crab meat DELICIOUS!! Then we ordered 4 different sushi rolls... wayyy too much haha Each roll was fresh and delicious. The Hapy Hour prices added value and the sale was a nice added touch. Overall a wonderful experience and I'm sure to return.

Stacy V.

Yelp
Sushi was just ok. Convenient location. I would have to say the best thing from there was the stirfry udon. Great flavor on that.

Jerry L.

Yelp
Came here to celebrate my 20 year old daughter's birthday because it was her choice and let me tell you The experience did not disappoint. Since it was our first visit our server Savanna was very informative and helpful in every way. Quick tip: It is happy hour all day Sunday. Savanna suggested the SAKE served cold with SoHo Lychee for flavor. It was good, however I prefer it served warm and no added flavoring. The Large SAKE is only $5.00 during happy hour. Drafts are $2.00 off during happy hour. The SAPPORO on draft is delicious! Appetizer suggestion: Order the monkey brain...trust me on this one you will not be disappointed. Main Course:. My wife doesn't like sushi so she got the combo bowl. The kids bento box was good value for the price. The birthday girl and I decided to get the small boat with AHI TOWER. Be prepared to spend some money depending on which classic roll and specialty roll you select to go with your Sashimi. Sashimi is a Japanese delicacy consisting of fresh raw fish or meat sliced into thin pieces. Our Small Boat was $75.00 and it was very good too! They recently stopped serving dessert. We ended up leaving there very full anyway. We will most definitely be back, that is for sure! I left some descriptions with the photos. Hope it helps! Seriously fellow YELPERS go check them out!!!

Robert P.

Yelp
The only reason I'm giving this place 2 stars is because of the food. Very disappointed with staff service. Ask for the check 3 different times. Out of stock of all the asian beers, WOW! Not sure, I will come back.

Khylin M.

Yelp
Tried this place today for the first time and it's amazing! Place - it's clean and has a trendy yet casual vibe to it. They have an open floor concept with lots of space. You can see the chef making the sushi fresh too! Staff - very friends and attentive to your needs. Food - we ordered shishito peppers, sashimi and nigiri sampler, Fort Worth sushi and Wabi Sabi sushi. All were so good! The food presentation is great too. Price - decent prices for delicious food. I highly recommend this place. We'll be returning soon!

Alex W.

Yelp
Let me start by saying the food creativity here is amazing. Everything we had was delicious and the sushi was freshly rolled. I've been looking for another "fusion" sushi place since I moved to Ft. Yelp
This is the best sushi we have found close to us and the service wether we dine in or order is always so great! W Their fried rice is AMAZING! We also normally get the heart attack and a bunch of various specialty rolls a d they NEVER disappoint. We frequent here often and have had no complaints . Excellent service and food!

Trevor L.

Yelp
I eat here 1-2 times a month and have previously left a 5 star review. That being said, I am not sure what changed, but my food tonight was the worst it's ever been. The Miso was overly salty, the cucumber salad was more like a soup, and the rolls looked very messy. The biggest disappointment is the go to order, the salmon skin hand roll. I knew something had changed when it didn't come in the typical cone shape, but more like an uncut inside out maki roll. Then I immediately noticed the salmon was unbaked! Gross! After calling to complain, I was told that they are moving to a more "modern" look and that is how the "other" places make it. It was also smoked salmon! They agreed to credit me for the roll on my next order, but I'm unsure if I will return. What has changed? Are they are in between chefs? Maybe just a bad night. I plan on removing this review once I have a better experience here.

Teliah W.

Yelp
The food is great and the service is always friendly. The ambiance is nice especially if you're looking for relaxed dining. I would definitely recommend!

juju M.

Yelp
Delicious food ‍Friendly staff Great background music Monkey Brains Yellowtail Heaven Roll

James N.

Yelp
This is peak neighborhood sushi joint. If you're looking for that clean, authentic Japanese styled sushi, this isn't for you, but if you're looking for the more westernized rolls, Wabi Sabi executes flawlessly. Service was prompt and friendly, food was on point, and the music selection was all over the place in a good way. Everything we tried was delicious and they have a great happy hour for drinks. Will definitely come back!

Austinn L.

Yelp
Service was absolutely great, staff was amazing problem that I have come across is a bad case of food poisoning sushi should be at the highest of standards very disappointing, that this place has one of the highest rating unfortunately carful on the sushi list to choose from.

Tina B.

Yelp
After months of searching around for a good sushi place near by, I finally found the one. I'm always skeptical when it comes to eating at a different sushi restaurant because the sashimi/sushi rolls might not be fresh. Wabi Sabi hit the spot. We were greeted and seated right away when we came in on a Friday night. It wasn't so busy which was nice. Since it was our first time eating here, our waitress helped us with ordering the food. Our waitress was extremely nice and attentive. We had the the salmon sashimi (the cut was a bit thick for my preference but it was still good), Fort Worth rolls, geisha and yummy yummy rolls. It was all so great and fresh tasting. I really like the food and service here so I definitely will be coming back here for my sushi fix.

Vy P.

Yelp
I went with a girlfriend for lunch and first of all, their lunch deal really gets you your money's worth. We came in for a *really* late lunch and were really surprised to see half the restaurant still full. After the food came, we then realized why. They did not skimp on the seafood. Oftentimes, sushi places overwhelm the seafood with too much rice or too much seasoning in the rice, but the seafood was definitely front and center. The rolls were huge! It came out so fast and were well made. Our server was wonderful, even though she had all the other tables to worry about, she never made us feel like we had to flag her down when we needed something. I'll definitely be back for another girls day or even date night!

Lindsay B.

Yelp
Amazing sushi and amazing service!! Will definitely be back. The nigiri is so freshhh

Carrie B.

Yelp
I'm honestly very sad to write this review, we used to enjoy coming here, but after the pandemic, this place has gone downhill, the food is still very decent, however, the service and the cleanliness of the place is terrible. We were there to eat this weekend, the tables, the floors and the plates our food was served were SO DIRTY! I hope the owners read this, because after this last time we are not going back. We were so disappointed of how dirty it was and the terrible service we received.

Kathy V.

Yelp
Food presentation was beautiful. It can be a bit pricey if you don't watch what you're ordering lol, but it is all worth it. The food taste fresh, the environment is nice, and the staff there is really friendly and they pay attention to you. Definitely one for my books to a great sushi place. I would definitely recommend others to try..
