"Wades Wines is a bottle shop in Westlake Village which, in addition to wine and liquor, has a massive bottle and draft selection. The selection changes daily, but it usually includes local spots like Beachwood Blendery, Institution Ales, and Kern River Brewing, in addition to great out-of-town stuff like Russian River, Great Divide, and Fifty Fifty. Call ahead to order at (818) 597-9463. We haven’t been here yet, but want you to know this spot exists." - Team Infatuation

Wade’s Wine has a solid selection, especially for rare bottles, though prices can be on the high side. Chris is knowledgeable and always willing to help. The real highlight is the bar, which finally reopened after a long hiatus. It offers well-priced pours of stuff you just don’t see elsewhere—especially for scotch. The hours are limited and they’re only open three days a week, but where else in LA can you get a Springbank single cask flight for $100? Not many places, if any.

Google
Great selection of bourbons and imported beers, Chris is awesome great working with him. It’s been a couple years since I’ve been here before today, will definitely be back soon

I come here weekly specifically for to talk to the bartenders, specifically Skylar, Sam, and Brandon! They are the best and will always make you feel welcomed and keep you entertained the whole evening! Come here with your friends and family to enjoy the food and employees!

Google
Are you serious!? Every hard to find beer and liquor you can think of, a beer and wine tasting room, (Thurs through Sunday afternoons) and they brew their own beer. They are 10% more expensive then most if you find somewhere that has the same thing, but it is worth every penny. The people who work there are great. Side note the tasting rooms library beers include the hard to find pliney the elder.

Google
Very unique spot to grab a drink. They offer flights for all kinds of spirits ranging from beer to wine to liquor. It is a quite spot and has a very cool ambiance. If you are looking to purchase a bottle of wine or liquor they have a very large selection and the staff is extremely knowledgeable. I have even gone in and asked for a recommendation for a bottle of wine based on what I will be having for dinner that night and they did not disappoint.

Google
A gem. Incredibly comprehensive offerings from wine to liquors to beer. Would never guess how big or interesting the store is from the outside. Knowledgeable and helpful staff too. You gotta check this place out!

Google
Many kinds of products! No other store in the Thousand Oaks area has such a wide variety of inventory. There are also many high-end and rare products that cost over $1,000. It's a little more expensive than Costco etc., but it's a reasonable price.

Google
I always have a great experience at this place!! Such an amazing HUGE selection of beer, wine, and liquor. They have a shop attached to them filled with unique bottles from different countries that you can purchase. The staff are fantastic and extremely helpful! Tommy has always stood out, he's so informative and can answer any question while being very personable and funny. (He's great) The decor there is a must see in my book.

Eric D.

Yelp
Why go anywhere else?!?! Whatever you're looking for, they probably have it (and much more). Tommy was so gracious with his time and spent so much time talking about beer with us. We had so much fun poking around the different sections looking at all the different styles and breweries they had in stock. We spent more time there than we thought we would, but it was such a great experience. We'll definitely be back next time we're in town!

Yelp
I am so BUMMED about this place. I have been loyal to them since they were a one room shop. Recently, I went in looking for something they did not have. Nicely, they sold me on four bottles of wine and a 12 pack of beer. All four bottles of wine were vinegary. ALL FOUR. I called on the $40+ bottle as the cork ruptured and it was nasty. No reply. Sent an email, no reply. Poured it down the sink and opened the next recommended wine. Macerated it with fruit to try and save it as a sangria because it was undrinkable as wine. Ultimately poured it down the sink, along with the next two bottles. Such a bummer. I was thinking of having an event here but I feel like maybe times are tough as they are jacking up prices and quality is plummeting.in fact the same day I bought a bottle at Gelsons they had and at Gelsons was over 10 dollars less - that in and of itself would not have deterred me too much ( I went ahead and bought items regardless as I wanted to support them) but the wine was undrinkable and there was no reply. It can't last with that kind of service, and it was once a complete gem. So sad.

Netta S.

Yelp
Great wines!! Huge amount of options Try the Cabernet Sauvignon from Israel, it's one of a kind! They have a very cool for wine tasting, looks fun! The service was great!

Audrey N.

Yelp
Amazing wine , tequila, scotch, you name it they have it! I'm going to have a tasting birthday party for my hubby and his few friends. AN

Kena C.

Yelp
Really liked this place for wine tasting. Wish they had food options. Great store/selection, though I didn't shop.

Bradley H.

Yelp
Italian tasting was fantastic Quick service and a great place to have a conversation. Next time I'll try the Old Fashion, heard it's fantastic! Definitely returning

Franklin M.

Yelp
Their help knowledge and advice make for a great experience. They have always steered me toward the best choices in every category I was shopping for.

Juliane D.

Yelp
Best selection of all unique and valuable wines in the area! Wades is a destination. Our party has come in search of special bottles of Bourbon, wine and champagne in the past. Tonight, we met for flight tastings. Our group tasted Bourbon. Wines from Spain, Italy and rare vintage and also beer. Wades wines employees are helpful and knowledgable. The cool vibe in the tasting room makes you feel like you're in an exclusive club. Wades Wines is a step above!

Natalie A.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I live across the street in the apartments and visited this place for the first time last night! We were in AWE! Amazing selections, amazing service, and amazing ambiance. We will be back(maybe to often!) and HIGHLY recommend!!

Josephine P.

Yelp
Way overpriced bourbons.. beware beware beware .. these guys are a total rip-off with their crazy prices. Crazy Crazy Crazy.. you gotta be crazy to shop here .. Bourbon was $25-$40 more than my usual go to establishments.. I just visited again yesterday 30 August 2023 and these guys are very foolish to be overcharging their clientele .. I will never be back..Sorry guys

Celine C.

Yelp
Great wine selection. Try the Israeli wines and the ones from Cali. There is parking around.

Jenna F.

Yelp
Love this charming store and tasting room!' The workers are so knowledgeable and friendly! They make you feel like family' great selection. Such a fun little local spot!

Sara V.

Yelp
Second time I tried this place: - twice in 10 years, and same as before, reason i haven't gone back, very uncomfortable feeling and very arrogant vibe. The tastings felt robotic and annoyed, I'll go to BevMo any day over this place. Chris literally asked if he could help while I was in the bourbon aisle and when i looked over to say yes, he turned and began talking to someone else, And didn't come back to me. Bon voyage wades wines.

Spencer K.

Yelp
The collection of wines and spirits combines with unparalleled institutional knowledge of alcohol makes Wades not only a must visit location in the Coñejo Valley, but a location well placed on any bucket list. Tommy and the crew behind the bar in the tasting rooms are some of the best guides in the business. Though some places may be less expensive on a bottle by bottle basis on some alcohols, Wades has never steered me wrong whether it was a whiskey, a tequila or some strange liquor I've never heard of. Now add to this the three tasting rooms with an encyclopedic curated collection of beverages and this place becomes a vacation destination.

U P.

Yelp
Called the business about wine I'd bought earlier in the day being discolored and tasting spoiled. Spoke to Wade, the owner, who was professional as usual and agreed with him I would return the bottles the next day. When I arrived the next day I was met with an obnoxious member of staff who informed me that he was not authorized to issue a refund and I would need to speak to the owner - after I had already informed him that I had already spoken to the owner. He felt the need to point out to me that it was Sunday (being a little woman, I obviously can't have known that!) He sat with his arms across his puffed up chest and responded to my polite questions in the most condescending tone and informed that I 'could ask him as many questions as I liked, he was still not going to tefund me'. He then ordered his colleague to help me choose alternatives. No apology at any point. I think some staff training is badly needed.

Jillian G.

Yelp
We had a great time at the tasting room. I got the white wine flight and the pours were a good size for the tasting. Tommy also stopped by and gave us free pours of the Scout's Honor wine, a Zin blend, which was excellent. It was not crowded at all for a Saturday night, but I'm told that's because they don't have TVs, and the UCLA-USC game was on. The store next door has an incredible amount of inventory, and we purchased a few of the wines we sampled. We also got one of the cheese spreads and crackers, which was plenty to share for the 5 of us.

Gerald S.

Yelp
Great spot to taste some of the hardest to find wine/beer/whiskey(s). They also have one of the best selections of alcohol in the Conejo/San Fernando valley. This is my go to for hard to find whiskeys and beers. The staff is very knowledge and friendly.

Gavin H.

Yelp
If you're looking for a nice winery in the area, this is definitely a good choice! Wades is a winery that is in a business area and features a winery in the back and a general store in front. The atmosphere is rustic and welcoming. You definitely quickly get comfortable with the area and people around you soon as you get in. The staff are friendly and fun. They definitely treat you well here as long as you are too. The wines were delicious! We got the white flight and they are full bodied, sweet, and flavorful. They also offer other whites and reds from around the world and also have spirits there to try too! There is something for everyone here and I would highly recommend it!

Christine P.

Yelp
What a great place! This is far more than just a wine shop. While they have a wonderfully large selection of quality wines, they also offer a gigantic selection of quality spirits and beers, along with tastings. But wait! If you're going to visit Wade's Wines, be sure to also check out their 3 different back room bars where you can buy flights of different beers and spirits while taking in the scenery of some pretty cool rustic western decor.

Corinne G.

Yelp
This place is incredible! It feels like such a hidden gem all tucked away in the back of an industrial park. The staff are so knowledgeable and personable. It's honestly just worth the trip to go and learn from the staff. The snacks are amazing and their collection of wine and spirits is otherworldly.

Daniel D.

Yelp
Finding this place is quite a challenge. But what a treat when you do find it. Amazing selection of.... everything. Wine, Whiskies, even cordials. Supremely knowledgeable and friendly staff. On site tastings. I love this place. My new favorite store!

Ellen N.

Yelp
excellent selection and customer service when my out of state friends visit they always-make a stop here to buy wine and go to the tasting room outstanding knowledge selection and customer service

Edward W.

Yelp
Not a cheap date, but some great wine knowledge and an amazing selection. This is the place to buy a special bottle (or more) for that special occasion. Ask for help when you walk in. You won't be disappointed in the service.

William R.

Yelp
Amazing selection of spirits, beers and wines. Their scotch selection is second to none, and they have an amazing tasting room with dozens of beers on tap. They also offer periodic tasting and other evens, such as Ardbeg whiskey tasting.

Scott B.

Yelp
Walked in here one day because I was in the area, what a find!! This place is ridiculous with their selections, if you are looking for a rare bottle this place will have it.

Criselda C.

Yelp
Crap! I broke down and bought a bottle of Re-Find Rye 128 proof. Oh well . . . I guess I'm obligated to enjoy it now. Shout out to Marty that got this bottle onto Wades shelf. Most interesting Rye I've ever had. So smooth and with a nice long finish. Like a true Rye it spreads warmth to in your chest as it goes down. Not at all grainy. DO NOT SHOOT THIS WHISKEY; that would be a sad waste of fine distilled art. I would suggest that your try it after dinner with a clean palette. It's a pleasant conversation in a glass. #ilovere-findrye #kisses

Ryan J.

Yelp
This spot is the jam, if you wan to drink wine, beer, or cocktails this is your spot .. OR if you want subject matter experts in wine, beer, or spirits, then this is your spot as well. Walking in you'll be greated and asked what you're looking for, from there they will hand you have to a SME to discuss what you're looking for both from a taste profile to price point. I cannot stress how versed these guys and gals are in their areas and will undoubtedly point you in the right direction. From there if you want to check out their two spots connected to the store you can grab a seat and select from over 10 wine tasting sets based on profile to country to region, or dabble with a ton of beer on tap. If you're looking for a stellar cocktail or want to try a specific spirit you can pretty much try any spirit they have there in bottle at their cocktail bar. You have to check this spot out, it's a must go, you will not be let down.

Mike M.

Yelp
If you have any need for recommendations for gifts or alcohol for yourself, this is your place. They have people with lots of experience in spirits as well as wine or beer. They also have bar supplies that most liquor stores or grocery stores don't carry. We love our trips to Wade's!!! Like a candy store for adults!!!

Kirsten B.

Yelp
Wades Wines has a nice selection of whiskey and spirits, but the staff's attitude has pretty much turned me off to the place. I came with my husband one evening about 20 minutes before closing, plenty of time for a quick nightcap. The bartender immediately gives us a look and says "we're about to close." He even hesitated to let us sit down and was very short with us when we were ordering. We finished our whiskey in about 10 minutes and left before almost everyone else (it was pretty packed, as a bar would be at 9pm on a Saturday). We recently went back and bought a nice bottle of wine. When we got around to drinking it, the cork totally disintegrated into the bottle. My husband went back in to complain, thinking maybe they would replace the bottle, or even just offer a discount on a different bottle. Instead they just completely brushed it off and told us to be more careful next time. Look, a bad attitude isn't a complete dealbreaker for a business like this, but I just feel like there are other options out there, so I probably won't be back.

Victoria M.

Yelp
I LOVE Wade's Wines! We stopped in to buy a couple of bottles to take to a birthday dinner and ran into an old friend inside. Being a wine connoisseur himself, and knowing the entire staff and owner, he recommended some of his favorites and suggested to the staff that we taste before buying. We were greeted by the bar with tastings of a few selections and were able to learn about each. Everyone there was so nice and welcoming, I'll definitely make a trip back for a longer visit. We purchased our wines, said goodbye and headed off to dinner. A++

Courtney B.

Yelp
This place is an absolute gem! Amazing vast selection of wines and spirits. Love the atmosphere of the tasting room. Great service with knowledgeable recommendations. Definitely recommend visiting if you live in the area or if you're passing through!

Aman G.

Yelp
Amazing spot my bro in law brought me. Very unexpected to find out that this place has some exclusive flights beers, wine and spirits.

Jess B.

Yelp
INCREDIBLY HAPPY that someone recommended wades wines to us. We just moved into town and were looking for places young professionals can enjoy without having to dress up to go to a tasting room. Started off with the bottle shop side and were already impressed by the vast variety of alcohol available. It is truly a one-stop-shop for all your needs. My SO who is a draft beer enthusiast was impressed by the selection they had here as well as the rest of the store. We were looking at the whiskey section as we are just getting into whiskey and we heard a little voice behind our shoulder, "you guys like whiskey?" and little did we know our lives would be changed by Marty (who likes to party). Marty has his own little space with specialty whiskey and is such an enthusiast, but also so friendly to those who are still learning. He taught us so much and was so generous with little tastings of his favorite brands. If our experience had ended there we would've been just as happy, but there is also a bar/tasting room! The tasting room is AWESOME. Any group of friends can pop in on a night and people with different palettes can enjoy their time there as they have wine, beer, tequila (oof), whiskey, vodka, etc flights that you can purchase. They have 100 beers on tap and even wine on tap. There's plenty of seating space with two rooms and an extra third room that has speakeasy vibes. Overall everyone was so friendly and we had a great experience. Will definitely be back! - J

Yelp
A friend of mine brought us down to this dude of town. As we approached these corporate buildings I was pleasantly surprised to see such a nice low key bar INSIDE of a wine market. The staff sat us down quickly and brought us menus. Have us awesome suggestions and had a great time and great drinks. They have wine on bar which I will have to come back and try with wifey. We came by for a "quick" drink but the staff and awesome booze "tricked" us into staying a bit longer. We would definitely make the trip down to the middle of corporate looking land. My friend also suggested trying the wine markets itself. He asked for a suggestion on a wine for his wedding night and got exactly what he asked for. I look forward to another visit!

Jon B.

Yelp
This place is all about the staff. I end up trying different spirits and talking with Marty and Jim every time I swing by. Both are knowledgeable and hilarious. What really sets this place apart is the tasting rooms, called the Sundowner (I believe). There are three separate areas. One is for wine, the other is beer, and the last is for spirits. The selection in each is awe inspiring. I live too far away to visit too frequently, but I really love the tasting rooms and staff here.

Kristy M.

Yelp
Hidden gem! Unsuspecting. Don't judge the book by it's cover! Come inside and enjoy! Knowledgeable staff! Excellent flights! Good company! Recommendations were spot on!

Brian M.

Yelp
The happiest place on earth is not Disneyland, it is Wades Wines. The place is split between a distributor-like store front with normal business hours and a tap/spirit room that is only open in the afternoon/evenings Thursday-Sunday. The store side has aisles of every kind of beer, wine, or spirit that you can't find at a standard grocery/liquor store. From a beer perspective, they don't even carry non-craft stuff. The tap room has a rotating tap list of 103 craft-only beers, cheese, Wildflour Bakery bread/pretzels. Within the last year they also added spirits to the menu (separated by type i.e. Scotch, American Whiskey, Rye Whiskey, Japanese Whiskey, Rum, etc.) with the ability to make flights out of basically anything. If you're looking to buy someone a gift or are looking to buy yourself something new but don't know exactly what you're looking for, their employees excel with recommendations based upon taste. Every employee here is worth mentioning but for recommendations, Tom stands out for beer and Marty is a whiskey legend. I hope this place never increases their advertising and it stays exactly the way it currently is forever.

Shayna G.

Yelp
This place is awesome. NOT the type of place you'd expect to find among the office spaces and storage units they neighbor! Once you walk in you realize it's half shop and half saloon. The shop part has rare alcohol along with the normal stuff. In the drinking area, It's super old timey and there is a lot of wood and it makes you feel like you traveled to the country 50 years ago. They have lots of rare whiskeys and spirits but for a place called Wades WINES, I expected them to have a larger selection of wine. I got a tasting flight and I was limited in which wine so could order so although they were good, I was disappointed. Then if you venture father back there's yet another room that's very dark and the whole wall is backlit with liquor. Pretty cool place. I wish they stayed open later (they close at like 9 pm and don't serve drinks during the week) and had more wine as the name is misleading. But I'd come back for sure!

Michael A.

Yelp
Went here for the first time this past Friday, after work, for a "coworkers happy hour". After driving up and down Agoura Road 2-3 times, I was finally able to locate the parking lot. I must say, never in a million years would I ever think to come to this area, let alone believe someone if they told me that a wine-beer bar was located where this place is. Once parked, I found myself wandering around looking for this supposed establishment, until bam! There is was, at least I thought so. Walking in, I was slightly confused, as it looked like a warehouse-like liquor store. A friendly host happily showed me the way to the bar (on the right hand side), and I quickly saw my coworkers seated at one of their many elevated tables. Once seated, I found myself immediately impressed by the atmosphere and ambiance. The decor was top notch, and there was truly a lot to take in. Each table is given bottomless FREE pretzels, which served as a nice appetizer and snack throughout our stay here. The menu was equally impressive, with over 100 beers on tap, and countless wines available to taste. I am mostly a beer drinker, so that's what I went for. The beer list is conveniently organized by style, and it was easy/intuitive to find what I was looking for. Reasonably priced pints ranging anywhere from $6-10+, left me happy. Tasters were available, which come as 4 4-oz pours, which is a cool option if you're looking to explore or try something new, but I found the pints to be the better deal. After a couple IPAs, I was ready to leave and get the night started. Service here was nothing but quick, friendly, and attentive. The only slip-up was that one of the servers switched my beer with someone else's, so I had to awkwardly trade it with my coworker after we had both already had a drink from each other's. I will give that a pass. Parking is free, easy, and abundant. Finding the place is a fun challenge if it's your first time. Take my tip if not down for a scavenger hunt: Once in the parking lot, drive all the way to the end, and turn left. Wades Wines faces the freeway, and you'll see it on your left.

Cor S.

Yelp
Marty, my spirits guru whose never steered me wrong yet with his recommendations to the detriment of my credit card, Jim with his warm infectious smile, the rest of the staff and the insane selection has kept me loyal to Wade's for years. There are 3 tasting rooms here, wine, beer and my favorite, the spirits room. With 45 pages of spirits and flights to choose from it was a fun night and a must visit for anyone who loves tastings. Don't expect mixed drinks, this is not a traditional bar. Especially love that Wades is off the beaten path, hidden in an industrial area and the tasting rooms are inside the biggest wine, beer liquor store around.

Vahe K.

Yelp
Drove by this place for years not really knowing what it was, I always assumed it was a wine distribution company. A friend brought me here and WOW was I stunned to see what was going on behind these closed doors! Many rooms to hang out in all with their own cool décor including the restrooms. We had many different things going on at our table of four. It was Everything from a Bourbon sampler, Scotch, Craft Beer Samplers and Individual Craft beer in a Bottle. I'm Honored to find out they used one of my Photos for their Featured Yelp Page and was Sorry to Find out that I never Finished my Review for their Page. So Here you go Guys/Gals 5 Well deserved Stars and Great review for this Amazing Business. I look forward to making it back if/when Life Becomes more the norm, until then Cheers!

Mariya R.

Yelp
This place is AMAZING!!! I visited the first time a few weeks ago. My boyfriend is an avid tequila collector and I brought him here to pick out a bottle for his Christmas gift. As soon as you walk in a very friendly man named Marty greeted us and showed us to the tequila section. 600+!!! Amazing!! So selection gets a 5! They had a bottle he had heard a lot about and Marty confirmed it was exceptional. Marty also suggested another tequila which we fell in love with. I have no problem paying for service but Wades is priced high. We found the bottle online for a $100.00 less. That's significant. Pricing gets a 3. My girlfriend and I came back today to do a wine tasting. It was so much fun and the tasting area is very cool. We had a lot to drink so we ordered the charcuterie plate. It was pre- packaged. Nothing wrong with it but just lacked presentation. We were told that the tasting room has become so popular that they are adding food and two more areas. We were shown the new spirit room that will open 1/18 and it's gorgeous!! Can't wait! So go for the tasting and wines but if your looking to just buy liquor.. check the prices first. We will be back many more times!

Eunice C.

Yelp
Great almost indescript spot in a commercial center with a vast selection of all things alcohol and a good sprinkle of a non selection, like mixers and such. We definitely have to go back and explore the spirits side, as we were in the mood for beers that day we visited.

Katy L.

Yelp
Amazing little liquor store and tasting room! Long story short.. I make a purchase in 2017 but never picked up my items until today.. 2020. The staff was able to find my items within a minute of time. AMAZING! Apart from this, the store has huge collections of all different kind of spirits, wine and beer. One of the staff encouraged us to check out the tasting room.. even when it's closed during COVID because it's really worth the peak. She didn't lie.. the tasting section and bar was super cute, the walls/decor were made from spirit and wine box scraps/corks. We will definitely come back to check it out when they open back up again!

david b.

Yelp
If I could design a liquor store with a bar attached, it would look just like Wades. The best liquor store I have ever witnessed. Wade is a wealth of knowledge and the selection of spirits here - especially Tequila is remarkably vast.

Arturo G.

Yelp
My first time at Wades Wines and the management went out the way to accommodate me. I am a bit disabled and can't climb onto the tall bar stools. No problem they said, management brought out lower table and a folding chair which I was able to sit on. Service was amazing and staff went well over the top to make my experience enjoyable. I will be back!

Jerry Y.

Yelp
Love this place, it has my favorite beer the owners and bar tenders are good people and it's just a great to chill

Bill I.

Yelp
Great place. Visited recently, friendly staff and helpful. Thanks for the help in the spirits section.

Jason C.

Yelp
This place is like Disneyland for adults. A massive selection of spirits to choose from and multiple tasting rooms. On the spirit tasting menu you go through 47 pages... just to look at Whiskey which is the first spirit type listed. We sat for a tasting and the young man serving us was great but felt that since I was a Scotch guy he'd get Wade himself to help me. Have the owner come over and design a Scotch tasting based on previous things you've liked is quite something. My girlfriend and daughter who are both far classier than I did wine tastings. We all shared a fresh warm pretzel that was amazing. I would be remiss if I did not mention Marty as well who, according to the sign above his little hidey hole "loves to party". Marty appears to be kind of the Yoda of Wade's and he uses his wisdom to temp your taste buds for some spirits. With the wisdom of a Jedi Marty had me sample a 21 year old Scotch "The Legend" by Lismore. WOW! I'll be sneaking back to grab a bottle as soon as I can. Marty seems to know the history, back story, and even where the bodies are buried for each distillery he punts for. People, I've sat on this review for two weeks because I don't want this place to get too much more popular than it already is, but I can no longer restrain myself from sharing the awesomeness of this place. From people through decor, to selection, everything exceeds my expectations for a liquor and wine warehouse.
