Waffle Champion

I first tried Waffle Champion at an OKC Dining Club event and had to bring my husband back with me a week later to get it again. We both had the chicken and waffles and I can’t get over how good it is. The waffle is on the thinner/lighter side and wraps so well around the chicken, with a wonderful light sweetness to it. And THE CHICKEN. Dawg. The chicken is so good. It is so well-cooked, NOT DRY, and somehow also not greasy? It’s succulent and seasoned BEAUTIFULLY. And let me tell you, the portions are STACKED with chicken. Plus the fried leeks on top for that extra crunch is an absolutely unreal touch. Drizzle it with the hot honey or syrup and it’s just an unbelievable meal that also somehow doesn’t leave you wanting to die afterward from sheer overload like most chicken and waffle meals do. This is hands-down one of my favorite things I’ve tried in OKC. Run, don’t walk, etc.

Chicken and Waffle was great - flavors, crispy yet not dry. Can’t go wrong with it. Seems to be the staple menu choice. It’s in a waffle that is folded, making it easy to eat. Other great choices too! Drink and coffee menu is very good. And prices are very affordable! This place rocks.

First-time customer, and it was a pleasure to eat here. Nice combination of waffles and chicken. I will recommend come and check out the menu.

Just passing through from Texas and decided to stop here for breakfast. The staff were super friendly, and the food was delicious. I ordered the bacon, egg, and cheese waffle sandwich, and it was huge! I couldn’t even finish it! My little one loved her plain waffle too; it was perfectly sweet without being over the top. The caramel coffee was great as well, the perfect finishing touch to a tasty breakfast. I would love to have one of these back home in SA, TX.

Waffle Champion has a nice ambiance, feels clean, and the colors and design give it a welcoming vibe. When we walked in, the cashier greeted us and explained the menu since it was our first time, but he spoke so quickly that it was hard to catch everything. It wasn’t busy—just a couple of tables and no line—so service was fast. The waffles were good. The chicken was juicy, and the sweet-and-salty combo worked really well. Another waffle sandwich with eggs and bacon had solid flavor, and the syrup tied everything together. Where it falls short is value. For the price, the waffle sandwiches weren’t very filling, and we left still wanting more. If you want to feel satisfied, expect to spend closer to $25 per person for lunch or breakfast. Worth it? That’s debatable.

We ordered the grilled cheese waffle, waffle fries with truffle Mayo and banana pudding waffles. It was all sooo good!! I was impressed. I also like that they don't have conventional sodas, they offered blueberry soda, Mexican cola, etc. They also had different dips most places don't serve. We will definitely be eating here again!

I loved it here! The food was awesome and the staff were so attentive and sweet. I recommend the blueberry soda and the pumpkin ice coffee.

I was looking for waffles and Waffle Champion jumped across my Uber Eats screen. I ordered the chicken and waffles. Presentation 100% Taste 100% So this dish came with crunchy leeks and a Tabasco infused syrup/honey. The leeks added a nice crunchy oniony taste. They were very generous with the chicken that was seasoned beautifully. The waffle was excellent. They presented it as a burrito of sorts. There was so much you will need a fork and knife to get through it, if you are concerned about spilling it all over yourself. This place is worth at least one visit but I suspect I'll be a regular.

We randomly stopped in here to grab breakfast, and oh boy what a great find! I got the Waffle bites with 3 sauces and the hubs got Waffle sandwich with chicken. Wow, definitely a different way to eat waffles!

I ate here ten years ago and came back when in town again. The menu has expanded and it was still delicious. I love that they have gf waffles as an option. We didn't wait too long in line. One tip- this place has just-in-time seating. Which means you should not hold tables until you have placed your order. The limited seating doesn't allow for people to hold tables. It was a pretty cold day- but people sat outside under heaters.

This place is so great not only because it serves various waffle sandwiches or waffle dishes but also because it has a wide assortment of interesting beverages, like smoothies (their green one is excellent) including many unique gourmet/artisan sodas flavored in blueberry, vanilla and sugar cane from this company called Maine Root. Service is very prompt, you order at a cashier, get a buzzer and go up to a window to collect your food when the buzzer buzzes. Their chicken and waffles also very good and their corn chowder with tortilla strips is delicious. Interior dining environs very stylish, multiple floors and also many tables. Highly, highly recommended if you are in Midtown and on Walker!

Came with my sister for lunch. She got the chicken and waffles and I got the waffle with eggs, bacon and cheese. It was really good and filling. I would say a little on the pricier side but it's consistent with the area.

This restaurant is located near the Oklahoma City Memorial. You will find a little private lot behind the restaurant. There is free and metered street parking available within a reasonable walking distance. As you could have probably guessed by the name, the restaurants menu is based on waffle dishes. They have breakfast waffle sandwiches, sweet waffle sandwiches and chicken and waffle sandwiches. They restaurant has a decent sized dining area with a television and music laying throughout. The place was very clean and they had a staff member that just took care of the area. They do not have table service, so you have to place your order at the front counter and then they will give you a buzzer that goes off when your meal is ready. I ordered the hot chicken waffle sandwich with a side of waffle fries. It took about 15 minutes for my meal to be prepared. The sandwich was good. It was flavorful, filling, and had a little kick to it. The fries were ok. They were a bit overcooked and a little to hard in my opinion. The staff there was friendly, but my interaction with them was limited. As others reviewers have mentioned, the waffles are a bit pricey. I paid over $20 for my meal. Anyway, I would definitely eat here again and recommend others to check it out.

I always enjoy the food here but I went a few weeks ago for their $10 lunch in midtown. I ordered the chicken and waffle sandwich, which I hadn't ordered before. It was so, so good! Had the waffle sandwich plus a beverage for the $10. Very large portion. What a great deal. The service was quick.

Waffle champion is a cute spot in Midtown that you should go to if you're looking for a quick, casual brunch or lunch. I ordered the French toast waffle which is like a combination of my two favorite brunch foods. I was a bit disappointed that I got just one small waffle for the price without any sides. It didn't feel like a complete meal to me. For that reason, if I was to come back, I'd probably order something else.

The ambiance in here is very comfortable and cute filled with plants! The menu has a wide array of choices from sweet waffles to healthy eating like avocado toast. I had the apple pie waffles, which were perfect for the start of fall! And my fiancé had the chicken and waffles, which were presented almost like a pita wrap where the waffle was the pita. Overall, everyone is very nice and helpful here, and the food is amazing for a great breakfast or brunch spot!

When I'm looking for something nice to start my weekend mornings, I go to this place. Nice coffee and delicious food--great for breakfast or brunch. The combination of chicken and waffles with syrup and a bit of scallions is always tasty. This time, I ordered the grilled chicken Caesar salad. It was a bit smaller than before. They usually serve it on a plate, but this time I got a paper box, like a to-go box, even though I said I was eating inside. Still, I like the atmosphere and the quality of the food. I would go again.

First off, the food is delicious, but it has quite the price tag. There's really not much to this place as far as atmosphere goes. Pretty much a do it yourself space, so not a lot of interaction with staff, they were friendly enough when I did speak with them. No wait necessary and ample street parking.

Been here several times, and I've always enjoyed my meals, and thanks to the inspiration of the friend I was meeting, I ended up trying the chicken and waffle debris. Instead of the chicken and lakes being wrapped in the waffle, they are scattered over waffle fries and drizzled with honey, making it the perfect sweet and savory meal. Our food took a lot longer than expected to arrive, especially when people who ordered after us got their meals first and to go orders were coming out pretty regularly. After waiting a solid 25 minutes (the restaurant was not busy), we went up and asked for food, which was brought to us a few minutes later. I will try them out again to gauge if service improves and that the long wait is not a regular occurrence.

I had been hearing great things about waffle champion breakfast and $1 mimosas and finally tried it today. Did not disappoint! Savory and sweet options. Quick service, good location. Cute and casual atmosphere.

Stopped here in OKC when passing through town on our way home to Texas from Kansas. It's set up like a fast food place. Walk in the door, order at the counter, given a remote, pick up at the window when your remote vibrates. The menu is very "newbie" friendly and easy to read and understand. I ordered the Gluten Free Waffle Wrap Florentine style, added sausage. It came out as an open face, but that's ok, because I don't think all of my toppings would have successfully fit inside the wrap. it was DELICIOUS!! At first, I didn't know what I had gotten myself into. Who puts savory toppings on a waffle, yet here I was. The eggs were perfect, slightly wet, not dry as the Sahara dessert and LOADED with spinach, fresh mushroom, tomatoes and goat cheese. There was something in it or on it, maybe the same drizzle that was slightly tangy/lemony. It wasn't off putting, just different and yes, I ate EVERY.SINGLE.BITE! The husband got the open faced not gluten free waffle with Bacon, egg and cheese. His eggs were done to his satisfaction and he said it tasted as if they were scrambled in the bacon grease, YUM! He also ate every single bite. We accompanied our brunch waffles with a Brunch Punch (me) it was not my favorite as I'm not a Maraschino Cherry fan, and there was a LOT of syrup in it. I still drank it, and as it watered down it was more tolerable; don't get me wrong, it's a great drink if you are a MC fan, I am not. Disclaimer - if you don't like Maraschino Cherry stay away from this drink. Otherwise, go for it, and it's pretty in the glass!! :) Husband had a Classic Orange Mimosa which was a perfect mixture. Overall, I wish there was one of these in Texas. We will definitely go again the next time we are in OKC.

I've had Waffle Champion twice, and it's always a good choice for brunch because it's counter service. No need to get on a waitlist for hours on a Saturday morning. My party of 6 walked right in. My mimosa was huge. The monte cristo was a little cold. But tasty.

Food and service was nice. Only draw back was the parking. The vibe was quaint and busy but not overwhelming. I got the banana bread coffee which was amazing even for my non coffee lover friend.

If breakfast is your favorite meal of the day, you need to come to Waffle Champion. Don't let the line out the door scare you off because it moves at a steady pace. Also, if you've ever been to a Shake Shack, the line and the menu setup are eerily similar. I only say this as someone whose day job is design, so I notice these things. The restaurant was busy but still clean and easy to find a table. On to the food... I'm usually a savory breakfast person, so I went with the bacon, egg, and cheddar sandwich on a classic waffle with an iced vanilla latte. It's a good amount of food, so expect to be satiated for a while. I appreciate that they have a "clean livin'" section of the menu in case you come with friends who aren't feeling like a heavier breakfast.  There's so much on the menu that sounds tasty. Next time I come to town, I intend to try the chicken and waffle sandwich liege style.

Once again waffle champion has not disappointed!!!!!! The service was awesome and the food was delicious!!!!! The early morning downtown breakfast vibe was perfect!!! Ty guys we will be back.

Incredible food. Menu is diverse if you add in some of their sauces on the side. The employees were all extremely fun and kind. That's refreshing in these crazy times. The atmosphere was a calm chaos which is oddly soothing. People were happy and eating delicious food. We ordered and there was a small wait and seating inside is a massive issue but that's almost the charm in it. There is outdoor seating and pretty powerful heaters so winter dining is an option. We ordered the Migas and added fried chicken strips to it for more protein. The server was so awesome at helping us mix it up. Also got 'okie ranch' and the mustard they have as a side sauce. You'll need like six ranches. They're absolutely delicious in every tangy creamy way. The traditional chicken and waffles is freaking life altering with the crispy leeks and hot honey. The Tabasco is just the right amount of heat with the honey to tame it. I also paired it with the ranch dressing. Next time we will be trying waffle bites because the people next to us had them and they looked phenomenal!

The meal was phenomenal! My wife and I got the chicken and waffles and the Peaches & Cream Waffle. For a first timer...I would always recommend the Chicken and Waffles as they are just a wonderful combo especially with a little hot sauce with each bite. The crispy leeks are a wonderful add to the already amazing combo. Peaches and Cream Waffle had a brown butter mascarpone which was delicious. I would've liked a riper peach but overall the blend was good. Service was pretty good. Ordering was pretty quick and easy as for the ambiance it was busy when we went on a Sunday Morning. However, we sat outside which was less chatty and closed in. It was an amazing meal and my in laws from Texas said they DEFINITELY need to come back again.

This is a casual restaurant where you order at the counter and then take your food to your table when it's ready. The line wasn't too long for a Sunday morning, even though it was key breakfast time and the restaurant was nearly full. I had the florentine sandwich waffle and it was fantastic. It's more like a waffle wrap/burrito in terms of shape. The ingredients were delicious and fresh. I would love to go back and try one of their sweet waffles!

Brunch last Saturday with family at the Waffle Champion. At the time we arrived, the line was just out the door. We were in line almost 20 minutes before we placed our order, and the wait was almost that long before receiving our order. I ordered the chopped salad, and it was outstanding! It may have been the best salad that I have had. Very happy with my choice. Jan ordered the grilled cheese and tomato bisque. She shared a bite of the sandwich, and I thought it was OK. But to be fair, I'm not a waffle guy. Hence, I ordered the salad. I never tasted the waffle fries. The dining experience is definitely casual. It has a cool vibe and is a fun place for breakfast or brunch, although the ordering and seating process can be hetic.

AMAZING flavor, EXCELLENT service, and a WONDERFUL atmosphere! I also appreciated the quality of the food because that is so rare nowadays. We had a large part that ordered and they accommodated us so kindly and efficiently, and that is much apprevaWe will definitely be returning again and again!

Waffle Champion is fantastic for customizing orders. We had deconstructed chicken and waffles, and it was seamless. We also tried a plain Liege waffle, which was easy to order, as well as waffle fries with three dipping sauces, all at no extra charge. The seasonal blueberry compote was delicious, and the strawberry matcha smoothie was enjoyable, though the matcha flavor was subtle. Customer service is excellent, and we always feel well treated.

So good!! I am obsessed with their waffles and want to come back for their signature wrap!

Always a joy to eat at waffle champion. Normally I like to venture out and eat crazy food, but their bacon and egg waffle is just the best. I fall for every time and never regret it. It's filling and flavorful. Lots of good seating options. It was amazing weather so we decided to sit outside at their tall tables. It was an incredible vibe. Definitely worth checkin out!!

Got the blueberry sunrise. The waffles were suspiciously similar to Eggo waffles. By that I mean they were very thin and very soft like the toaster setting was real low. If I'm paying between 9 to $12 for a waffle and have to wait 20 minutes for it, I would like something thicker along the lines of a Belgian waffle and a little crispier on the outside. The blueberry compote and lemon curd sauce was good. The takeaway is, get yourself some Eggo waffles, put whatever you want on it and save yourself a lot of time and money!

Food is delicious. It tastes fresh. It was just right. Portions were great. Perfect size. Chicken perfect size for bites. I got cheese sauce to go with my chicken and waffles with an egg on top. I thought it was going to be an easy over egg because it said add an egg not scrambled. But it was still delicious. Hot honey was great for the waffle and chicken. It was a treat!

One reason to move to OKC would be to be able to dine here more often We visited in a 100 degree summer day and found the space, menu and staff to be a refreshing and relaxing oasis. Knowing this might be our only chance to explore the menu, we asked for advice and were guided to the liege waffle style, and ordered the chicken version. The result was quite pleasing. I especially appreciated the fried green onions atop the pile of food - just a lil' bit of extra love. I strongly support ordering the liege waffle as your base, this is a yeasted waffle with a slightly different flavor than what we usually encounter in the US. A word about the oasis feel - this is a planty space, and the plants are both happy and healthy.

Ordered through DoorDash for me and my bros. Came in a decent amount of time, food was still warm and drinks were still cold. Everything was FANTASTIC. My personal favorite was the cinnamon roll waffles and the chicken and waffle! My bros got the apple pie waffle and the French toast waffle and they said their food was fire too! Amazing food!

We are from out of town so we were driving around and drove in . It's a nice comfy setting. The staff was nice and friendly. We order a migas waffle and an egg and sausage waffle with fries. The fires were average, they tasted good but most of them were overcooked and too crunchy. The egg and sausage was excellent. The migas waffle was above average. The waffle was good but my definition of migas is different. In my universe, migas are eggs scrambled with fried chips kissed in with cheese or sauce. At this location, it's essentially scrambled eggs with chorizo, pit some sauce on top and then put some frito size chips on top and wrap in a waffle. Again, it's not that it tasted bad but different vision.....all in all, excellent experience and we will back when we return to OKC.

Nice quick breakfast. Tried the feature which Asian inspired. It was really good. Wife had the other lemon feature that she really enjoyed

Is it better than OKC's top brunch spots? -- No. Is there any other fast casual breakfast place better than waffle champ? --not that I can think of

Was in town for softball tournament with my daughter. Past couple of days had really bad experiences with local food. found these guys on yelp and decided to check them out. Food was excellent. The customer service was great. Taylor was really nice and informative of all foods. Really friendly and attentive. Also met Todd the owner and gave him all the great feedback and told him he had a great restaurant. Definitely recommend and will come back.

I ordered chicken and waffles to go. When I get home, this waffle is so hard that I could have broken a glass window with it. I can't brine e anyone could think this is ok to serve. Even after putting butter and syrup on it and let it sit, the waffle was still like eating cardboard.

Tried the chicken & waffle years ago and it is delicious. Tried the Migas at the new Edmond location and was not expecting a wrap. I incorrectly assumed they'd put the Migas on the side with waffle separately. Do not make the same mistake. Green tomatillo salsa and waffle DOES NOT MIX. Service is a little slow but could be the fact that they just opened. Will definitely give them another try. Ambiance was nice but very smelly/smoky and LOUD! It was lunch time Sunday after church. They could use better ventilation or leave doors cracked a little for fresh air to push out the stinky. We definitely had to change our clothes when we got home.

I do love me some waffles. No better way to start the day with some waffles. I grabbed the Chicken and Waffle with a side of Leek and Potato soup. This felt like a quick turn around restaurant for a quick order. There's a few seating for you to just chill and eat whatever you grabbed and the food was kinda prepped for on the go.

Amazing food, very cool vibes in the restaurant. I've been coming to waffle champion since it opened and they've maintained their quality without significantly increasing their prices. Even when the restaurant is busy, the staff is friendly and efficient. Every time I'm in OKC, I try to stop by.

Good food (and that's most important) but damn pricey. A very hipster gentrified experience with no service. For example, it's not just a regular coffee, it's "drip" coffee to sound extra special. The whole menu is written that way. This place just doesn't have an atmosphere I can get into. Felt like I was in the pacific northwest, instead of the midwest. Hipster Millennial Do-It-All-Yourself Breakfast Bar.

Walked in and ordered and was able to sit down immediately which I hear is very lucky because this place is usually crazy busy. It's small but cozy. I ordered the cinnamon pecan waffles with a side of bacon and my brunch date ordered the crawfish poboy. The food was fantastic. Will definitely eat here again.

Been here several times and the food never disappoints especially the waffles fries Do yourself a favor and order your own side because I promise you will not want to share them and leftover waffle fries from waffle champion reheat perfectly. My go to is always the Chicken & Waffles especially if you're hungry, it's ALOT of food and they're generous on the chicken tenders, I recommend extra Tabasco honey because it's sooo tasty. If I'm feeling something sweet the French Toast waffle (liege) is DELICIOUS and will satisfy your sweet tooth! Took a star off for their lack of seating, it's always super busy which is great but sometimes by the time you're finished waiting in line and then order there's not always places to sit. also the mimosas are pretty basic and over priced in my opinion.

I love everything about Waffle Champion! I always make an effort to eat here when I'm in town. The food is always delicious, and so are the iced coffees. The waiters are helpful and on their game, and I love the aesthetic.

Waffle Champion holds a special place in our hearts. Back in 2018 my now husband and I were planning out our first date. I was unsure of my husband's first date expectations, but he had asked me if I'd rather be fancy or get breakfast. Of course I chose breakfast! He picked me up & we drove down to Waffle Champion from Stillwater on a warm September evening. We ordered the chicken & waffles and the French toast waffle. Connor was actually quite jealous of the plate I received and fell in love with those candied pecans. We still talk about them today! And that homemade whipped cream butter is heavenly. Connor also really enjoyed his flavorful chicken & waffles, and he's a picky eater. We just talked & enjoyed each other's company that night in Waffle Champion's eatery. When we left I fell in love with the mural outside! "All you need is love & waffles." What a sweet mantra. Of course we took pictures. And of course that was the picture I used to post online to tell the world we were dating. We have absolutely been back a few times since then and each time we order the same thing to relive the memory. The locked down dates we had were sweet with to-go Waffle Champion, as the flavors were nostalgic to us and brought us comfort. We are life long Waffle Champion stans! I hope you enjoyed our little life experience. Can't want to be back there again!

The restaurant had a weird odor inside. We ate outside. Everyone seemed to like their order. I had oatmeal that was very good. I would order again. My son had chicken on a waffle. Large portion and he said it was very good

First timers! But definitely will not be the last! We arrived mid- morning so there was no line. Thankfully we had time to review the menu and make our choices. Easy for me I got the monthly feature my better half needed more guidance. Very impressed with the flavors & options! I chose the monthly special Peaches & Crème. Not gonna lie that combo was delicious. On my next visit I'll go more traditional or savory. My wife got the Chicken & Waffles but deconstructed - aka chicken on the side. Our order taker Michael, gave us some grest suggestions & ideas so props go out to him. The sauces are made in-house and my wife chose the ranch & barbecue. Now I'll be honest I'm not a ranch dressing fan at all but I tasted - this maybe the only place I'll order ranch! Very tasty! As was the barbecue. All in all I'll definitely go back - prices may seem kinda high but in my opinion you get what you pay for and in the case quality of the food impressed me the most. If I'm dining out I want the best experience possible and this met my expectations!

Food tasted off, I think it was the syrup they use. It was not the normal flavor profile of a waffle.
