A quick breakfast place, food is cooked fresh and served with warmly atmosphere. The staff is very nice. The waffle, hash browns and omelette are very nice. Definitely worth the price and effort.

Wow! This is the BEST Waffle House in PA by far. Went the other year for Pinfest & everyone in my party was massively impressed with food quality & cooking skills. It wasn’t any different tonight, thanks to Calan & the chef. 🤘 I was so thrilled last time, that I decided to be bold & try a steak from a chain breakfast spot for the first time. 😮 Glad I did! Not saying it’s $100 a plate steak house quality but sure they know what rare is & it’s not a bad size @ all for the price. Seasoning & cooking was stellar too; so don’t be shy. 🙈 Calan was a wonderful server, very polite & friendly, she got my dinner order rite as well as the large to go for the family @ home in NJ. Definitely management material 💯. If she’s not the boss next time I visit, then someone from Denny’s or iHop better show up & give her a management job! 🤠 i’ll be back 😎

Who doesn’t appreciate all day breakfast? I enjoy an early evening breakfast here whenever I come into town for an event at the local casino. This trip has been on par with other times I have dined here. Food, coffee, and service was very good. It is always much better than the local diners where I live. I always get the all star breakfast, because it includes a little bit of everything. This Waffle House location must have good management, because it is a step above other Waffle House locations I have dined at. Everything was clean too, including the bathrooms.

Really enjoyed our time here! Friendly staff, very quick service (I feel like we waited ~8-10 min for our food), and a tasty and filling meal. We got lucky and came early enough to not have to wait for a table. Food is at a reasonable price and cooked well. The hash brown here is very interesting (perhaps a little strange) and unlike any hash brown I’ve had before, but overall everything was pleasant and efficient! The meal was $24 before tip

We had a great breakfast here before our trip! We like everything here. The service is so good. The food is fresh and nice.

We went early on a Saturday for breakfast but plenty of people were there even earlier. We seated ourselves, ordered and received our drinks and food very quickly. The hash browns were the best followed by their waffles. The prices were cheap but not the cheapest.

Food was not great. The Texas patty melt was just a burger with 2 slices of cheese that was not melted. The bread was thick wonder bread. The blueberry waffle over cooked. The bacon was burnt. The sweet tea not so sweet. The hash brown was the only good food. Service was very slow even though it wasn't crowded. Ambiance- place was clean, the staff weren't friendly. A but disappointed because we drove 1 1/2 hrs thinking we would get the same experience as the waffle houses down south. We may come back for another try at it maybe we just came on a bad day.

We arrived and were welcomed right away. Tables and bathrooms were clean. Food was ordered and delivered super quickly and accurately. Overall great experience.

Whenever On I80, I'm stopping @ The Waffle House. Although I must admit, Waffle Houses are a bit random at times, when it comes to location. This Waffle House In Particular was awesome, staff was great, homely and very attentive. The food was good as it always is, and just off the highway when one is in need of a morning start. Blueberry Pancakes are my go to, at the Waffle House.

The closest branch from NY. Food is amazing and cooked when you order..Pork chops and everything in the menu must be awesome. Definitely fast service and the place is cozy. Breakfast/brunch at its best. Great location as well. Highly recommended!

Stopped in with my family. The wait wasn't long at all, maybe 8min before we were seating and ordering food. The food was tasty, delivered relatively quickly. The prices are always good. Staff was very pleasant. The only con was it could have been cleaner. I saw tops of tables that looked mostly clean but dirty napkins and forks and food on the floor underneath. Utensils needed a good wiping as well before using them. I didn't go into the bathroom. Preferred to wait until I got home based on what I saw.

Honestly the best Waffle House I've been to. The service was absolutely incredible and the third shift rocked the house. We got free hats and incredible waffles. Highly recommend anyone stopping by!

I rarely review chain restaurants in general but wanted to do so here. Walking in this morning, the place was packed but the long wasn't terribly long at all. We were seated at the counter and I ordered 2 eggs with hash brown and toast for $6. Nothing fancy about this other than it hit the spot without overeating. Their hash browns are made fresh on the spot and very light. My son ordered the ham and cheese hash brown bowl and my wife ordered the bacon and cheese version of it. They both enjoyed their meal. The place is very clean and all staffs were amazing and attentive. I would recommend this place.

They really do good food fast. I go to the restaurant for the entertainment. Fun personalaties. Consistant quality.

I have been having a taste for the Cheeseburger bowl with grilled onions, mushrooms, chopped tomatoes. Like a song you can't get out of your head. Simple and not pretending to be classy. Quick response to needs. A food served almost instantly.

It was late breakfast time so stopped in after seeing the sign . Seating was booths few were open. I knew the items I wanted so usual scrambled eggs toast hash browns Juice. Service was fast and courteous. Food came as ordered see photo. Usual standard Waffle House design unit. Separate restrooms. Enough parking for patrons. Walking back to my car I saw this VW car pulled & parked next to my car. I had to take picture of that .

Stopped here on the way back from a gig since we haven't had Waffle House in ages and we had someone with us who had never eaten there. This place at noon on a Sunday was BUSY. The wait was about 20 minutes, no big deal- well except for this one rude man- The young hostess was doing her best to please everyone and seat everyone quickly. Between her bussing the tables, wiping them down, seating people and keeping parties in order she had a lot to do, and was working very hard. One rude man actually came down on her for not clearing a table fast enough- He actually pulled her manager over and complained that she wasn't clearing tables fast enough. Seriously? This girl has been running around like crazy doing her absolute best with a full packed restaurant and about 20 additional people waiting to be seated and you have the absolute GALL to complain to her manager that she wasn't clearing tables (and not even a table you were to be seated at) fast enough for you? The girl looked defeated. Props to her manager who put the guy in his place in a very professional manner- and didn't reprimand the hostess. Moving on, our server was absolutely wonderful - our food was as expected, very good and we enjoyed our meal.

First time going to a Waffle House. I broke my cherry. Queen will tell you what to order because she's the Queen. Guess what, order the waffle?!

Unclean. Flies buzzing around and sitting on the counter where we sat, refrigerator next to the counters and food. Coffee tasted burnt. The side of Refrigerator was dirty where the flys were attracted to .

Always happy to be at a Waffle House. Same delicious food, and same service with a smile, no matter what state I'm in.

Really really really cannot recommend this place enough. We were on a long drive back from a wedding in Allentown and decided to stop here and get breakfast on our way back to NYC. This place did not disappoint at all! Charming old skool diner layout with the booths situated right next to where the griddle bar is. The coffee was good, the food tasted superb and authentically like it was homemade. What topped it off is the staff were probably the most friendliest and attentive folks I've ever had the pleasure of being served by at a chain restaurant. Keep it up Waffle House!

There food is great and open 24/7 you can't beat that. Such great customer service. Food came out quickly. Server was funny and friendly. Which made for a great time to eat when your hungry.

Listed as open 24/7 Nothing on their website or phone about closing early. Showed up and it was closed. Sign on the door said they close early. Would have been great to see that elsewhere. The phone number just rings to the store and no one was there to answer.

Great experience! I live in New Jersey and we don't have a waffle House here. I had went to Atlanta and was unable to eat there because of how crowded it was. I was so excited when my boyfriend surprised me on our way back from PA and took me here. The food was delish and the service was great. I had the big meal and loved the waffle. It is made to order. It was warm and yummy. I will definitely be returning.

There aren't many Waffle Houses in this area and because of this expect a wait. Seating is pretty limited (especially with COVID restrictions still in place. The staff at this location is super friendly and always on top of things. Food is just as you'd expect and prices are excellent.

Whew ... so as a family of frequent travelers my sister had an urge for Waffle House . We did a quick Google search and seen this place was only an 1 1/2 ride away so we decided to go . When we arrived I noticed that there was NO PPE or protective measures for the guest , everything was super close together but after driving for a hour and some I was not leaving lol . The waitress we had was a little rude and rushed us I ordered a pecan waffle .. from the outside everything was good but as soon as I cut it open a big disgusting piece of hair popped out to say hello i told the waitress and she changed the waffle out. I definitely wouldn't return.

We drove four hours just to come here for nostalgia. For some reason, this waffle house is not as good as any of the other waffle houses we have ever had. The waffles were undercooked, even though we requested them to be slightly more cooked. There are a lot of good things missing off of the menu, and the service is very very slow. Not to mention the server forgot a dish that we ordered and by the time we received our order we had already waited so long we didn't bother requesting For the missing dish. Also, the bathroom at this location is filthy. Overall the food quality and the service quality really failed expectations in comparison to many other waffle houses. If you're considering traveling to this location because you miss waffle house and you don't have one in your area highly recommend - don't bother.

Went here this afternoon for lunch and sat for 20 minutes not even asked if we wanted something to drink. As I looked around I saw other people looking aggravated by the slow service. After another minute or so three groups including us got up and left. I over heard one of the women commenting that it seemed like they were only serving Puerto Ricans.

I love Waffle House! I've eaten at them all over this country. 5 star dining it is not! But if you are looking for a place that's friendly and you know the food you'll be getting, Waffle House is the place! If you come to this particular location in Hellertown, Dom is the best server ever! She is a sweetheart and great at her job!

The only one is 20 minutes from my house. Took a ride, should have made my own at home. Nothing great about it at all. The waffles were just ok, not great.

Having have Waffle House for a while. It was always my go to place when I used to be on the road, too bad PA is the closest one in East Coast. The food are always great. The pork chop is a must have. I always order the pork chop and egg, with raisin bread. Yum yum. I like their grits too although didn't order this time. They made grits with butter. It taste really good if you eat with a little salt and black pepper (that's how I like it). The coffee is regular, taste ok; not strong enough for my taste. My family & I were having fun, eating and chatting until the big bad Kobe news rush into all the social media feed. Yea it was that day. Unforgettable.

I didn't even know we had a Waffle House in Pennsylvania until today, but now I'm sad there's not one closer to me! Limited breakfast menu but it's always available! Hash browns can be served so many different ways which is fun and a nice twist. The waffles were thin, airy, tasty and moist. My breakfast bowl was a perfect combination of creamy, savory, and satisfying. The place is on the smaller side but they move people fast and we were quickly seated. Now if I could only get the "4 am at the Waffle House" song out of my head all will be good!

Stopped by here on a Saturday night on the way to the Sands Casino. I hadn't been here in years and since this is the closest Waffle House to Jersey I had to take this opportunity to get my pecan waffle fix... lol I had their all star breakfast (Not my typical Saturday night dinner but it was great!) 2 eggs over easy with toast, hash browns, bacon, and a pecan waffle. That waffle was delicious just like I remembered it. My man had a bacon cheese burger he said it was good. I told him no complaints here dinner for 2 on a Saturday night for 20.00 bucks... he couldn't beat that. You spend more then that on a hand of blackjack. Service was great, I enjoyed my food then we were off to the casino...

It's made right in front of you. It's hot, fresh and delicious. It's usually served within 4-5 minutes. Can you ask for anything else? The price? 3 of us had big breakfasts (all stars) and one to go breakfast bowl for $45. Don't ever hesitate! Waffle House food is life!!! Just look at the pics, they say it all!

Before coming here, I had never been to a Waffle House before. They do not have them in my area. I always wanted to try Waffle House food because of the pop culture references, and I am glad that I tried it. I won't likely be back because I don't often enjoy food this greasy and unhealthy, but this was a good treat. I had the pecan waffle with chocolate chips and the breakfast hash brown bowl with bacon, eggs, and cheese. It was exactly as expected for the money, frankly. The food was pretty cheap and decently good. The waffle was cooked almost perfectly, the pecans added a great crunch, and the chocolate chips added just the right sweetness. Topped with some buttery spread and syrup, I really enjoyed it! The breakfast hash brown bowl was also pretty good. The bacon was crispy, although it was a little overdone for my tastes. My boyfriend got the all-star special breakfast and asked his eggs to be over easy. They really did a good job and making the eggs over easy, which is something that some places don't get right. He also really enjoyed the biscuit and gravy, although I did not get to try it.

Yummy. Fast, friendly, clean and tasty. I had the all star that includes a waffle, two eggs, toast, sausage and hash browns (don't judge me for eating that much). It was perfect. Their coffee is really good because it is not bitter at all. If you're a snob and can't see yourself eating at a place like this, it's your loss. If you want a really great breakfast for a great price, this Waffle House is the place to come.

Since we don't have any Waffle House's in Jersey, I always make it my business to stop at this Waffle House when I'm in the area, but today's service will probably change that. They were super slow. I watched a waitress burn waffles and still serve them. My waitress offers me free grits because I had to wait and then completely forgets to make my waffles. I was served burnt bacon. Then maybe minutes later I got eggs that I didn't like so I gave them to my kid. Then 15 minutes later she brings my kid a waffle. She comes to my table with the check but never gave me the waffle I ordered. She did offer to make me one to go but I had over an hour ride to make it back home and at that point I was over the service there and just wanted to leave.

This Waffle House is on my way home from visiting Sands Casino so I decided to stop in around 1AM on a Saturday. I mean, this place is okay for "after drinking food" but I wouldn't come out of my way to visit here...ever. My party of three all decided on burgers and they were good but nothing amazing. I was really disappointed to find out they don't serve fries here (crazy right?!). The biggest turnoff was the waitress mentioning a tip not once but TWICE. I always tip at least 20% but I don't like to feel pressured into tipping. When we got change she made sure to give us all big bills, which I found to be rude with knowing she had already been pushing on the tip. Very tacky Waffle House. Tisk, tisk.

Never been here, but have dreamed about it for awhile I recommend reading the HOUSE RULES before coming. Cause we didn't, and were kind of awkward coming in. I bet the staff could tell we weren't familiar with the way things operate here. Accidentally cut someone who was waiting for a seat, but luckily it didn't end up in any type of argument. Not a person who gets meat with their breakfast, never have been. So we got WAFFLES and HASHBROWNS. Both my boyfriend and I got the double waffle which was super filling and delicious. I'm going to go out on a limb here and say these were the best waffles I've ever had. (The hashbrowns might also be the best, but everywhere makes hash browns kind of different so it's hard to really compare.) For hashbrowns, you can get them several ways and Waffle House has their own "vernacular" with the different ways of having hashbrowns. I mean there is literally like scrambled, stirred... I can't even think of the names. We decided to go with the onions in our hashbrowns, and I think will be back just to try the different ways they offer them. In the end, if you aren't from PA or basically anywhere in the south and you have been dreaming of Waffle house like myself, you won't be disappointed. This is a MUST HAVE at least once!

Had an absolutely delightful meal there yesterday. Food was so good I had them refire my order. Restaurant was clean and inviting. Staff was a delight. Wish I could give every Waffle House on earth every star in the known universe. My love and devotion to this beacon of light in an otherwise barren wasteland knows no bounds. God bless Waffle House.

Sat for 15-20min before even being acknowledged, and don't get me wrong we could see they were busy. We didn't care too much at first, but when we finally got an order in we ended up sitting there for an hour straight with no drinks at all & felt completely ignored. We even saw our waitress refill other tables drinks while we were still waiting for our first drinks. We were very disappointed as we were actually excited to try this place due to the high rating...

Keeping what the Waffle House is in perspective, this is a solid 4 star location. The restaurant was clean, staff attentive and the food was spot on. I ordered the Pecan Waffle. Many breakfast places offer blueberry or banana pancakes and waffles only to disappoint by throwing them on top. It was a pleasant surprise to see the pecans cooked into the waffle. This Waffle House is more than just a highway pitstop, it's a nice place to refuel with a good meal.

YUP! I just gave WH 4 stars! Why? Because the food is SO good and the prices are economical!! Judge me if ya want! This is your typical WH- same set up as the others. The employees were super friendly and even gave my dad a 15% off discount because he's a veteran. Anyway- I ordered the All-star breakfast- 2 scrambled eggs w/ cheese (cooked any style), bacon (or sausage or ham), grits (or hash browns), raisin toast (or wheat/white), and a waffle and it only cost me $7.65! WH is one of the few places that can get away with being a hot greasy mess & still be one of the most amazing spots for a good breakfast! Why am I seeing reviews about this place being greasy? Judge yourself for not knowing that this is their standard! So, say your grace and EAT UP! I have yet to hear of anyone dying from eating here!

This past Saturday me and my buddy Joe made the pilgrimage from our small corner of southeastern PA, to the nearest Waffle House to honor a mutual hero of ours. Friday June 8th 2018, Anthony Bourdain, despite breathing light into the lives of so many people, and being inspiration to folk like us, lost the battle against depression, and parted ways with this world. Waffle House, is something i hadn't known existed until Anthony brought the name into my life, similar to his visit to Donkeys Place, his fans were able to see his first experience with the franchise in 2015 when he himself was brought to experience the brands warm embrace. That episode was one of my favorites, if not my favorite episode of Places Unknown. It encapsulated everything good about him, an appreciation for all food, cultures, and people. No pretension, just respect and honest input and enjoyment of food from everywhere. When he tried waffle-house, he had made some BOLD claims, but clearly enjoyed the experience. I myself also found a great enjoyment in the simplicity of the waffle-house experience. Everything here is a back-to-the-basics reminder, that food doesn't need to be fancy to taste fantastic. Pricing is a bit higher than id like, but the food is still worth every penny, and every ingredient that goes onto a plate at waffle house is designed to feed off of one another flavor. Admittedly, i'm not a fan of the shredded hash browns normally, i was skeptical of them being served alongside a patty melt. I ordered mine smothered and covered- and between the absolute fresh potatoes, minimalist amounts of oil, and simple flavor profile it made for an almost religious experience. The patty melt here was ever so lightly toasted, far buttery than i could have expected, the onion was also extremely fresh, and the odd almost sauce like cheese tried everything together. Each part by itself would have been average, but some how the sandwich equaled more than the sum total of its parts, the weakest entry here were the burger pattys themselves which were fairly service grade, and could do for some better seasoning. That being said in honesty this patty melt managed to have more flavor then some of the better burgers (meat wise) ive had due how everything ties in together. This extends to the home fries- going back and forth between the two as one would with a more traditional side like french fries, the texture and flavors of the potatoes, cheese, and onion fit so well together with the patty melt that i was taken a-back. The same applies to biscuits and gravy here, the sausage gravy at waffle house is very peppery, so if your sensitive to some mild heat you may want to pass, but if that's your thing you'll fall in love. Admittedly the sausage gravy completely overshadowed any flavor from the biscuits but the textures melded wonderfully. I thoroughly enjoyed my experience here, and i look forward to my inevitable return when i'll be eating breakfast instead of lunch / dinner and my buddy swaps to the dinner menu. Such a great breakfast spot! I go here almost every time I go into Pennsylvania (mostly on my trips to Cabela's because it is a halfway mark for me). For $9 I got the All Star Special: eggs of your choice, choice of bread (I choose biscuits), hash browns or grits, bacon or sausage and of course a waffle. it really does fill you up quickly. Our waitress Dom was the best server I've ever had there. She is sweet, always checks up on you to see if you liked everything and if you don't, she'd switch it out for you. Has a 1950's feel with booths and a jukebox inside as well. I wish there was a Waffle House closer to home but it is definitely worth the travel!

Stopped in for a celebratory breakfast of sorts. I woke up at the crack of dawn, drove out to see a rare bird across the Susquehana from Harrisburg and was on my way back to Jersey. I like the Waffle House. Their hash browns are delicious. Great service. Proficient short order cooks slaving away on the line. Excellent coffee. Problem keeping this review parked at three stars is filth. The floors were gross. Trash, grease/slime. Flies were an annoyance. It bothered me. It should bother you. Still, a tasty breakfast for a reasonable price.

First time at Waffle House. Saw them driving south but never stopped. Very surprised. Friendly staff, great prices, fresh food. Place was very clean too! My waitress Crystal was very nice and informative about the menu. Never knew they were in the north. Will definitely strip by again!

Been to a few Waffle Houses in my travels and many are kinda dumpy and the food a greasy mess. This location was waaaaay better than all of them. Place was super clean while super busy. Food was actually damn good. When in the area, this will be our b'fast spot.
