My meal was prepared with fresh ingredients. Hot and delicious. The best grits and bacon I've had in a long time. My coffee was fresh, hot and no bitter aftertaste. My waitress Buhda was friendly and attentive. I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for some good breakfast food.

By far the best Waffle house I ever been. The restaurant was spotless, you can really tell the team takes pride in keeping the place clean and welcoming. The staff was incredibly friendly and the food was Absolutely delicious fresh, hot, and exactly what Waffle House should taste like. You can feel great leadership behind it all. The manager was super professional he clearly cares about his team, his store, and every guest that walks through the door. I’ll definitely be back!

Let me tell you. This was the BEST Waffle House I have ever eaten. The food tastes the same regardless of which one you eat at, but if you want it FRESH AND HOT, eat at this one. I had the biscuit and gravy and it was the first time EVER that I had hot gravy, and my waffle was moist, fluffy, and HOT.

Waffle House has consistently provided me with a satisfying dining experience. My go-to order is the all-star special with a light brown waffle, grits, eggs, and double sausage—a delicious and filling meal that keeps me coming back for more. The employees always do their job efficiently and ensure customers are served in a timely manner. However, I do have concerns about the 20% to-go order fees, particularly because it seems that these dedicated employees may not be receiving fair compensation. As much as I enjoy the food, it's hard to fully support a business that might not be treating its employees appropriately. I strongly encourage the Waffle House management to revisit their policies and ensure that their hardworking staff members are being paid what they deserve. To the employees, I hope you find the strength to advocate for fair treatment and fight for what's right. In conclusion, while Waffle House offers a great menu and a tasty all-star breakfast, it's crucial that they prioritize the well-being of their employees to maintain customer loyalty and satisfaction. Fun atmosphere. The food was good and the wait staff was excellent and talented. There is one special comedian there that needs to get paid for her comedy within the next 9 months she needs to be on a stage!;cheesecake waffle was good. The manager is nice looking and kind. The customers were entertained as well. I was able to sit and read my scriptures quietly afterwards! Coffee was good too! Thank you.

I was trying to be optimistic even though I read the reviews. I came in at 1030am and sat at the bar top. Talked to the waitress, got my OJ, and then later got my food. That's it. No up selling, no asking if I wanted anything else. Check dropped off and I stared at my plates. I was there til about 1145-1150. They were more joking with their friends than for service. I get it's waffle house. They were on their phones more as well.

They ran out of to-go syrup and then charged us to put it in a cup as if syrup doesn’t come with the waffle. Further more, the amount of syrup they charged us for and put in this cup is less than the amount that would have even came in the original to go syrup. Ridiculous.

To go option only; outside at window. Fast, efficient. They were quick, friendly and well organized. There was a wait due to the amount of orders they were filling and it was faster than I expected. Friendly staff that never let us see them look frazzled or off their games.

Quick and easy seating. Came in to a clean table and had a really nice server. Our food came up quickly for our group of 3 and the food was perfectly delicious. I've not had a bad experience at this Waffle House! They do online ordering here too.

We waited at least 15 minutes before server said she'd be with us soon. Several minutes later we asked and she said she was that she had already told she was doing something. No one offered us water or coffee. The hallway into the bathroom was slippery. The floor in the ladies room was slippery from urine. We eat at our Waffle house in Augusta Ga fairly often and have never had this experience. We're at another Waffle house now and it's great. I would rate 0 stars.

Went today and the employee Tazz was the cashier, server, trying to cook, etc. It looks like they had at least 7 workers in there but they were all in the back talking while everybody waited for their food. It's very unorganized. I'm not sure if Tazz was frustrated because she wasn't getting help but she was getting an attitude with all of the customers. To the point where people started to leave and didn't want to place an order because of the wait/attitude. Luckily I ordered my food online, so my wait wasn't as long but I still caught the attitude. She told me she didn't have to-go cups of syrup for my waffle. So I asked her if she could put the syrup in a to-go cup, she rolled her eyes and went to get it. I'm not sure if she expected me to eat the waffle plain? At the end of the day it's Waffle House so I NEVER expect perfect service. But don't get an attitude with the customers because your co workers aren't helping.

The vibe of Waffle House is usually kinda grubby, so I know better than to expect top tier customer service, if any at all. I've been to this exact same Waffle House when it was more busy & received much better service as far as food quality & customer service goes. Particularly, the young lady with blonde tipped locs is dismissive as a waitress (unless you're white or a male! And on more than one occasion) & as I stated before, I don't generally judge the customer service too hard @ ANY Waffle House, but to witness other people be smiled at & attended to *properly* & to have her place plastic utensils in front of me as a dine-in customer, while the other people around me were given proper silver utensils was disheartening to say the least. I've had great waitresses at this location but this one in particular seems to have some weird, one-off expectations of me as a customer and I didn't go there for all of that. When you start off with low expectations, it's really hard to be disappointed further, but the service I received today was bare minimum. Extremely subpar. I generally tip regardless of service, but not today. The food & service was barely worth what I'd already paid for it. When you ask for well done or well toasted food you don't expect to receive barely cooked through bacon and hardened barely toasted bread smothered with spread with a waffle that looks like.... this. I was so disappointed, I left before finishing anything and took it to go to finish cooking it at home. If you want to treat yourself, go to any other Waffle House but this one. This one is best for strictly 'to-go' service, nothing more/less.

Never had Waffle House before and I was trying to stay close to the Hilton Garden hotel... big mistake! This spot tastes like hotel continental breakfast.. literally identical! I enjoyed the waitresses and I over tipped for that reason but baybeee the food. Ugh!

Breakfast this morning was pretty good. Marie took great care of us. For me, the fiesta omelet was good and I appreciated that Marie offered "Hash browns, grits or sliced tomatoes?" I don't recall being offered that before at a Waffle House and since I'm not eating carbs, that was terrific. My wife had a waffle and said it was just as good as any she's had at a Waffle House. So why not five stars? Tables were not being cleaned quickly. Some of the seats were "closed" but not for pandemic. They were closed because the staff was using them for setup or such. At 10am on a Saturday with a full crew, every single table should be ready to go. So that's my disappointment. [Review 15386 overall, 888 of 2021, number 2936 in North Carolina.]

I was looking forward to coming to get my Pecan Waffle and was disappointed. The wait for inside dining wasn't too bad and they were cleaning in between customers but there was no sanitizer. Our waitress was nice but very forgetful as she even admitted. No Bueno! I ordered the All Star breakfast which of course includes a waffle....and she forgets the waffle. Then I'm already 3/4way through my food before she comes back with a burnt waffle asking if I wanted to take it home and it will "soften" . No Thank You! She didn't bring all of my moms food, and the staff here are very unprofessional. I'll drive elsewhere next time or make my own waffle qt home next time.

Customer service is still lacking. Arrived here with no one in the building and drama still popped off. Believe it or not, my order still was jacked up. No time for details; just keep your dukes ready unprofessionalism. Pandemic should not excuse that type of service.

This is one of the best waffle houses that I've been to. We arrived around 11am. The to go/seating area was pretty clean. It was a bit busy so there was a line to wait for seating. We waited less than 15 minutes and sat at the lower bar area. The servers were great at announcing when a table was ready for the next customer in line. They navigated getting everyone seated smoothly. Our server Boobie even took our order while we were still standing so we wouldn't have to wait long to receive it by the time we sat down. Food of course was as expected (good). Customer population was diverse so I appreciated that. Our server was very kind and took care of everything we needed. I really appreciate her. The other servers were also helpful with grabbing condiments for us. So excited that they had the Waffle House sauce in stock! I'm not sure how service is later on in the day but, we'll definitely be returning to this location.

I almost always get the scrambled eggs with grits and raisin toast and I am never disappointed. The server Bryan was courteous and professional. The floor where the food was being cooked was a hot mess. They need to get a cleaning team at this location.

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! So I just came in from a out of town (9 hour drive) and all I could think of when I got back into town was how great it would be to have breakfast at the Waffle House. Since I wanted my breakfast to be hot when I got home, I ended up skipping serval waffle houses just so I could go to the one closest to my house - which ended up being the one in the University area. I walk in - I'm the FIRST PERSON IN LINE-(Sunday morning around 8am). No one says "good morning", "how are you"- NOTHING. Fine - maybe it was a busy morning. As I'm standing in line - I'm waiting for ONE person to take my order - ANYBODY AT THIS POINT; everyone is busy doing something else! Afterwards, a gentleman walks in after me and another person is standing behind me. The lady at the cash register says she's gonna ring up the person first (3rd person in line) and then she will take my order- ok fine. When she's ringing this man up, a lady walks in (she's in the back of the line), the lady at the cash register tells her to come to the front so she can ring her up! Then while she's looking for something the lady needed, another waitress tells a man who just got up from his table that she can ring him up!!!! All the while, I was the FIRST PERSON IN LINE AND 10 MINUTES LATER I STILL HAVEN'T PLACED MY ORDER??????? At that point, Waffle House (this location) wasn't worth my time or my money and I just left. Case in point- I will NEVER come here again. FYI- if there was a such thing as a "0" the staff at this location definitely earned it smh.

To the manager(s) of this Waffle House ... I love WF. I can always count on a hot meal, well prepared at an excellent price. I know things can get hectic and little messy during peak times. However, this experience took all that to a new level. The floor was trashy with liquids on the floor behind the counter, accumulated trash at the drain, trash cans overrunning, equipment that looked like it had not been cleaned in a long time and to top it off way too much behind the counter loud banter while the lobby was full of customers. The waitress was new but nice and the food well prepared as usual. While you may be making money hand-over-fist (yes, the lobby was packed ... and with some frustrated customers), this does nothing to help the WF image ... no to mention adding unnecessary liability exposure for your business.

I know it's Sunday early morning after a Saturday night out but with 5 Staff you would think they would get an order right. Not only did I repeat the simple and on the menu order 2x I also said do we have everything in here and of course they said yes but we didn't. We had a car issue and had to run back to the vehicle to meet the tow truck and we came to realize after leaving that they not only forgot my sausage and to butter the bread but on a to go order they provided 0 utensils, napkins, grape jelly for the toast. They gave us nothing and our food ended up cold and we had to throw it out because of this. I don't understand how they can forget any of these things especially expensive sausage that is 1/3rd of the cost of my two egg breakfast.

I can Waffle on about Waffle House for hours and hours, but I won't. I'll just tell you - it's good. I've eaten at several different Waffle Houses in Charlotte because well what can I say. I like the hashbrowns all the way - with Chili all over them - even though they make me run to the bathroom - and sometimes at 3 a.m. after a good concert there is nothing else worth eating. The problem is, as I say, they usually makes me run to the straight to the bathroom. Then I have to Washle House my hands.

Advertises Dine-in, Take-out, Open 24 hrs - we arrived with our grandkids at 6am, observing three or four employees inside (one of whom was eating in a booth). Upon entering, we were informed they are doing take out only?? Kind of over staffed if all they're doing is takeout and clearly their advertised service options are either wrong, or the employees have decided to limit service at their own whim.

I want this place to be good, I do, but it's not. Service is terrible, food is terrible, it's always really dirty and sticky... just yuck. Carry out is a lot better, but not by much. When WH is good it's great, when it's bad it's terrible. Please you guys, wipe down the tables. Don't hand me a sticky menu. And please don't mess up my order and try to feed it to me. Please. Like you guys KNEW this batter was messed up, we asked for a new one and you sent out the same thing? Come on. Just say hey some fool didn't make the batter right the pancakes are coming out like crepes, is there something else I can get you ?? Don't serve this to people and charge them for it. (We did not eat it) I just want decent food, in a clean restaurant you guys. Please?

This was the second time I have called in an order to be rushed off the phone only to have my order wrong when I arrive to pick it up. The to go associate was more concerned with what time it was and messing with her phone than bagging my order when it was ready. The quick fix to my wrong order that had been sitting there was cooking the vegetables and putting them in the omelet that was already sitting there to be bagged. Fiesta Omelette

I never walked in an establishment- where the entire staff had so much energy! But not one was working! My husband and I walked into Waffle House to grab some late breakfast- and we stood in that store for 20 minutes and not a soul said anything! The staff never asked; if we're here to pick up an order, place an order, or dine in? It's was very interesting to watch! But poor judgement to even waste our time there! Knowing folks have no interest or understanding to way they have a job! So BEWARE! Because if they don't care about you- they will NOT CARE ABOUT THE FOOD PREPARED FOR YOU!

Typical Waffle House setup, but this one was fairly clean. Maybe because it was early in the morning. It was fully staffed, very welcoming and our waitress was overly attentive, lol. She checked on us so much at one point we like dang she going to let us eat or naw, haha! I can't knock it, I appreciate her service. My husband and I got our typical all star breakfast and Texas bacon cheesesteak melt meals. It wasn't busy when we arrived but by the time we were going to head out around 830am on a Sunday...folks was rolling in heavy!

My poor server I wish I had tipped her more but my god. The cook. She was the worst. She washed a pan with the same gloves she was cooking with stuck those same dirty gloved hands in the food storage container pulled out cheese to go on hash browns. My hash browns were also undercooked. I threw up in my mouth. My plate had a whole chip in it as well.

When we try to go to the morning, the 3rd shift people didn't let us in because they were gonna switch out to the first shift and they didn't want to deal with us and all they wanted is to go home and we were really hungry so we went to McDonald's instead. But I didn't give up on this place so I tried again later the day and honestly, it's really bad. From a person who loves Waffle House, I don't think I want to come back to this place. There's flies everywhere, it's really nasty and they don't clean the cups well. Hash brown bowl was a disappointment too.

I am so tired I'm coming to the store, pulling on the door handle, only to be disappointed that the door is locked. I am tired of trying to get a meal early in the morning or late at night after a busy day at work when no other restaurant is open and either the employees will not let you in or all the employees have walked out and left. I remember showing up one night I am looked inside the restaurant and it was completely trashed, nobody cleaned anything and there were no employees to be found. The door was locked of course. I just tried to pull the door open this morning at 5:30 AM after spending a whole long shift at work, and the two employees were sitting at a table eating breakfast, and had the door locked. They did not even try to get up or even care that I wanted service. I looked all over the door in building to see if the hours have changed or something. This store doesn't deserve the generous tips that I always leave. I am officially done visiting the store. I'd rather drive an extra 8 miles and go to the stores in Concord, they are perfect and always friendly and clean.

This place is horrible. We came here after a concert and they had 3-4 people working. We waited in line 30-45 minutes (no exaggeration) and then when we were next in line to order they told us "we arent taking any orders for the next 30-45 minutes, im gonna have to ask you all to wait outside". If I would have known that I wouldnt have waited in line so long. I had never been to a waffle house and I dont know if i'll be back. Also saw a cockroach casually chilling on the wall next to the register. I didnt expect amazing food or great service, but that was a little outrageous. Waited almost an hour for no reason.

This is my home-base Waffle House. Love it or hate it, it's Waffle House. Staff is friendly and serve you right - even during rush weekend hours! Yes, sometimes there is a wait, but they keep the line right and moving as quickly as they can. Food is good, nothing at all to complain about, it's waffle house, it's your hang-over, feel good weekend breakfast. It took me a while to find "my" dish at Waffle House, the BF is obsessed and can have this any time of the day...and he always gets the same, i can recite it drunk. His is: All-Star Special, Bacon, Hash-brown scattered (extra crispy), scrambled eggs with cheese (sometimes....rarely over-easy), with a pecan waffle. after trying their hash brown bowl, texas melt and other items my typical order now is: All-Star Special (BF laughs bc I would always complain that it would be so much food), Bacon, Hash-brown, eggs sunny-side up, with chocolate chip waffle. .....this is my "southern-version" of White-Castle, if fellow North-Eastern know what i mean.

Went to Waffle House with a group of friends and as soon as the workers saw us they told us it would be a 15 min wait and slammed the "drive thru" window. We waited over 15 min, probably were there for 30+ min when we decided to leave because the workers were purposely ignoring us and making themselves look busy when they weren't doing anything. As soon as we start leaving, a gentlemen walks up to the window and the lady asks what he would like to order. When we saw this we got out and tried to order again but she closed the window. Weird employees and bad customer service. Nobody told you to work at Waffle House so why are you mad.

I only visit Waffle House for a pecan waffle and a grilled chicken breast. I like to call in my order so I can grab and go. This location did not answer the phone. Once I arrived to place my order at the counter the Hispanic associate (they/them) stated "we don't have a phone".

I love the Waffle House chain. Was there on a Wednesdat at 1:30ish. This one was terrible. Dirty and really slow staff. I was greeted as I sat down and waited 15 minutes to order. I had to retrieve my own menu. I sat at the counter and watched them scrapping the floor while food was being cooked. Just gross. The cook was awsome. He really cooked well but my order was wrong. Probably not his fault. Won't be back.

So - I'm from Atlanta, the Home of Waffle House. It's tradition to eat here late at night after a hangover or just to hang out (back in high school). It's normal to expect long waits, foggy cups, dirty grills, Ebonics, and Auntie calling you baby. Ya know, the good ole southern hospitality. The crew tonight really set the bar for my Waffle House experience especially at the University location. Usually, I'd prefer to eat at the location near the airport because it's cleaner and well kept. However, this night crew (Wednesday around 10:46p). They were FAST (delivered my food within 5min.), hospitable, the food was flavorful, the cups were clean - I could actually see through the cups. I'd usually order hot water to let my utensils soak one more time and I probably could've opted out - okay maybe a little to far there. My water was refilled swiftly. I'm just impressed with my experience overall! The Day crew is slow, unorganized, lazy, and the list of all possible negatives goes on. The only thing the Day crew has going for itself is the music selection. I'm sure the next time I write a review, the feedback will be different. For now, I want to acknowledge I did not have the traditional Waffle House experience I'm accustomed to. Breakfast for Dinner has been one prefect ending to a wonderful evening! I will dream of Zzzzzs in peace.

THE BEST WAFFLE HOUSE EXPERIENCE EVER! The food was cooked to perfection! I actually felt like I didn't pay enough for the quality of food I received which is something I RARELY ever say! I was treated when I walked in, my order was taken promptly, and I was given all of my condiments. The guy who assisted me even made sure my waffle who perfect to my desired cook. The customer service I received from here was exceptional! I also observed others receiving the same warm and personal touch in their customer experience. I am apprehensive about takeout because of the lack of social distancing at most restaurants but they maintained the waiting area and ensured that non paying or non ordering patrons waited outside. I really appreciated that! WAY TO GO!

This was our first visit to NC. According to Google Maps, I knew Waffle House was going to be "busy". The wait did not match the long sideline of people we encountered. I guess they were waiting for take out. We had a booth for two within 7~10 minutes. It was busy but the team knew what they were doing. I guess you could say "organized chaos". The "All Star" was recommended by our waitress. Lovey had the sizable Waffle with Pecan topping, Grits, Bacon, two Sausage patties, scrambled eggs and two slices of Buttered Toast, Coffee. Nothing fussy. I had the waffle (opted for my favorite peanut butter as the topping), scrambled eggs, two sausage patties, Hash Browns with cooked onions, coffee and OJ. We both left there well satisfied. WH probably doesn't have as many options as IHOP but if you want a hearty Saturday morning breakfast, they don't disappoint. Thanks to Candiss and Aimee for their warm Southern hospitality.

I love Waffle House but I prefer the Independence location. At this location the staff isn't as friendly as I'm used to at ANY Waffle House. I ordered the chopped steak party melt and opened it to put mayo on it and there was a piece of hair. My last time here.

One of the better Waffle Houses because they actually answer the phone and have your food ready within 10 minutes. I go here most Sundays during my break at work (since it's quick and my breaks are usually still during breakfast). They even threw in two drinks at no cost. Thank you for the friendly service and for never disappointing me with the good ole Patty melt with bacon and hash browns!

I didn't enjoy my experience here. Unfortunately, the service was very slow. I ordered bacon, grits and cinnamon toast. My boyfriend ordered the Grand Slam and his meal came out before my order and then when my bacon and toast came, I had to wait for my grits. I really wanted to give this location another try but I'll be taking my business back to the Independence location. Melvin at the Independence location gives the BEST service!!

Obsessed waffle house lover from NY Part of me thinks its the only reason i visit LOL Longggg wait but wow was it amazing Hot perfect waffle! Country ham w a little crusp so salty good Ans hash browns were amazinggggg Only time i wish i lived in NC My -1 is the tall guy. Wash your hands after you touch dirty money, or your hair. Yuck!

My family stopped at the 103 Stetson Dr. location and while we understood that it was Christmas Day, the floors were dirty and the tables were dirty. The kitchen floor was disgusting and no one seemed to be concerned about it. I requested a hot cup of water and only was there something floating in the mug, but, the mug was not clean. I requested another cup and the same was experienced, however, the mug was even more dirty. The server finally offered a to-go cup. I ordered an egg white omelette with tomatoes and onions with grits. When the order was finally delivered, there was a dirty jelly condiment cup in my grits and touching my eggs. I sent the plate back, requesting a replacement. The items were brought back on separate plates and upon starting to eat the omelette, I noticed that I felt an awkward texture in my mouth only to find that it was meat! I'm pescatarian! When I asked for the manager, I could hear sly comments from the server! My little sister's orange juice had black things floating in it. The syrup container was half empty and God only knows when it was last wiped off. Please understand that this was an atrocious experience.The facility, service and food was beyond sub par! I would hope that this company cares about its reputation enough to spruce this place up!
