Weirdest experience ever. We came in with 6 people for breakfast after being on the road for a few hours. We sat in two 4 top booths. Imagine your last stop at waffle house & the number of plates you use. Even with 4 people, a booth is tight. There was no available seating anywhere else to be seen and we couldn't fit 6 people- a grown man, an adult woman, 2 teen boys, a teenage girl, and a 6 year old- in a single 4 seater booth. A waitress shook us down about the size of our party and asked who was sitting where, but it wasn't clear what the issue was. I had to inform her that 2 people were in the bathroom to which she rolled her eyes. They may not have been allowed to use the public restroom in her opinion. Again, I am not sure what the problem was. We asked if it was an issue for us to sit in 2 booths the lady didn't respond, rolled her eyes again and smirked at the question. We walked in happy, so it's not even like she was met with any kind of angst or anything. We were, however, confused if we were in trouble or if she wanted us to do anything else. We just left because we were met with a low vibe attitude and anger and were not sure where we had misstepped or done wrong as hopeful customers. I have no idea what the big deal was and my husband tips like a boss. Ultimately, the waitress played herself. I guess if you come, come with a small party or with folks who like eating waffles in each other's laps. If not, you will be treated like you are less than human. We would've been fine to switch seating if that had been offered had we missed a seating alternative that fit 6, clearly even separating our party was a non-issue for us. It was like they were mad at 6 of us coming in. Weird.
